The article is concerned with the boundary controllability of non-linear stochastic differential inclusions in a Banach space. Sufficient conditions for the boundary controllability are obtained by using a fixed point theorem for condensing maps due to Leray–Schauder non-linear alternative.  相似文献

We study von Karman evolution equations with non-linear dissipation and with partially clamped and partially free boundary conditions. Two distinctive mechanisms of dissipation are considered: (i) internal dissipation generated by non-linear operator, and (ii) boundary dissipation generated by shear forces friction acting on a free part of the boundary. The main emphasis is given to the effects of boundary dissipation. Under suitable hypotheses we prove existence of a compact global attractor and finiteness of its fractal dimension. We also show that any solution is stabilized to an equilibrium and estimate the rate of the convergence which, in turn, depends on the behaviour at the origin of the functions describing the dissipation.  相似文献

The problem of the loading of a helical spring by an axial force and a torque is considered using the three-dimensional equations of the non-linear theory of elasticity. The problem is reduced to a two-dimensional boundary-value problem for a plane region in the form of the transverse cross section of the coil of the spring. The solution of the two-dimensional problem obtained enables the equations of equilibrium in the volume of the body and the boundary conditions on the side surface to be satisfied exactly. The boundary conditions at the ends of the spring are satisfied in the integral Saint-Venant sense. The problem of the equivalent prismatic beam in the theory of springs is discussed from the position of the solution of the non-linear Saint-Venant problem obtained. The results can be used for accurate calculations of springs in the non-linear strain region, and also when developing applied non-linear theories of elastic rods with curvature and twisting.  相似文献

A numerical method previously applied to linear two-point boundary value problems of boundary layer type is extended to some non-linear problems. Discretization of the differential equation leads to a set of non-linear algebraic equations, which is solved by a modified Newton's method; both the mesh spacing and the boundary layer parameter are iteratively adjusted during the solution process. Several examples are discussed; one of these concerns the problem of shock wave formation in a supersonic nozzle.  相似文献

This work deals with a free boundary identification problem in a steady viscoplastic flow. We provide a novel identification model based on a non-linear optimization. The fluid motion is governed by the incompressible Norton–Hoff model coupled with the heat equation. The viscosity of the fluid is modeled by the non-linear Arrhenius law. Our point of view is to treat the problem as a shape sensitivity of a cost functional formulated on the free boundary and governed by the normal component of the velocity of the flow. We analyze the mathematical statement of the forward problem. The equations related to the free boundary are simplified. Various properties of this optimization are proved. Since the state of Norton–Hoff model is not regular enough we introduce a parameter penalization. The shape gradient of the considered cost functional is given in the strong sense up to the parameter of penalization. We supply the expression of the shape gradient in a weak sense.  相似文献

We state a 1D model with quasi-stationary gas flows approximation for a carbon reactivity test in the production of silicon. The mathematical problem we formulate is a non-linear boundary value problem for a third-order ordinary differential equation with non-linear boundary conditions, which are non-local in time. We study a boundary integral equation method for solving Laplace'sequation u=0 with non-linear boundary conditions. This non-linearboundary value problem is reformulated as a non-linear boundaryintegral equation, with u on the boundary as the solution beingsought. The integral equation is solved numerically by usingthe collocation method, with piecewise quadratic functions usedas approximations to u. Convergence results are given for thecases where (1) the original surface is used, and (2) the surfaceis approximated by piecewise quadratic interpolation. In addition,we define and analyze a two-grid iteration method for solvingthe non-linear system that arises from the discretization ofthe boundary integral equation. Non-linear static and dynamic analysis is presented for composite laminated anti-symmetric square plates supported on non-linear elastic foundation subjected to uniformly distributed transverse and step loading, respectively. The formulation is based on first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and Von-Karman non-linearity, subgrade interaction is modeled as shear deformable with cubic nonlinearity. The methodology of solution is based on the Chebyshev series technique. The coupled non-linear partial differential equations are linearized using quadratic extrapolation technique. Houbolt time marching scheme is employed for temporal discretisation. An incremental iterative approach is employed for the solution. The effects of foundation stiffness parameters and boundary conditions on the non-linear static and dynamic analysis on the central response are studied.  相似文献

A three-dimensional linearly elastic (viscoelastic) domain (finite or infinite) containing a physically non-linear inclusion of arbitrary shape is considered. The possibility of creating a prescribed uniform stress-strain state in the inclusion by a suitable choice of loads on the outer boundary of the domain is considered. A solution is constructed in closed form. Some examples are considered, including, in particular, the case of an ellipsoidal inclusion with the property of non-linear creep.  相似文献

The paper establishes existence, uniqueness and regularity for the solution of a phase-field transition system with non-homogeneous Cauchy-Neumann boundary conditions. Moreover, some estimates for the solution are given. The non-linear parabolic problem considered here can be used to modeling the solidification (liquidification) process to a matter. The paper presents existence and multiplicity results for non-linear boundary value problems on possibly non-smooth and unbounded domains under possibly non-homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. We develop here an appropriate functional setting based on weighted Sobolev spaces. In this paper we prove the convergence of an iterative scheme of fractional steps type for a non-homogeneous Cauchy-Neumann boundary optimal control problem governed by non-linear phase-field system, when the boundary control is dependent both on time and spatial variables. Moreover, necessary optimality conditions are established for the approximating process. The advantage of such approach leads to a numerical algorithm in order to approximate the original optimal control problem.  相似文献

Taking the example of the small longitudinal oscillations of a rod, it is shown that, in order to answer the question concerning wave momentum and its action on an obstacle, the problem of the wave motion in the medium has to be solved in a non-linear formulation. The variational formulation of problems in the dynamics of one-dimensional elastic systems with moving clampings and loads is improved taking account of non-linear factors. The equations of motion and the natural boundary conditions are obtained. The small longitudinal-transverse oscillations of a string and the motion of a bead sliding along it are considered.  相似文献

A mathematical analysis has been carried out to study magnetohydrodynamic boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer characteristic on steady two-dimensional flow of a micropolar fluid over a stretching sheet embedded in a non-Darcian porous medium with uniform magnetic field. Momentum boundary layer equation takes into account of transverse magnetic field whereas energy equation takes into account of Ohmic dissipation due to transverse magnetic field, thermal radiation and non-uniform source effects. An analysis has been performed for heating process namely the prescribed wall heat flux (PHF case). The governing system of partial differential equations is first transformed into a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformation. The transformed equations are non-linear coupled differential equations which are then linearized by quasi-linearization method and solved very efficiently by finite-difference method. Favorable comparisons with previously published work on various special cases of the problem are obtained. The effects of various physical parameters on velocity, temperature, concentration distributions are presented graphically and in tabular form.  相似文献

In this present article an analysis is carried out to study the boundary layer flow behavior and heat transfer characteristics in Walter’s liquid B fluid flow. The stretching sheet is assumed to be impermeable, the effects of viscous dissipation, non-uniform heat source/sink in the presence and in the absence of elastic deformation (which was escaped from attention of researchers while formulating the viscoelastic boundary layer flow problems)on heat transfer are addressed. The basic boundary layer equations for momentum and heat transfer, which are non-linear partial differential equations, are converted into non-linear ordinary differential equations by means of similarity transformation. Analytical solutions are obtained for the resulting boundary value problems. The effects of viscous dissipation, Prandtl number, Eckert number and non-uniform heat source/sink on heat transfer (in the presence and in the absence of elastic deformation) are shown in several plots and discussed. Analytical expressions for the wall frictional drag coefficient, non-dimensional wall temperature gradient and non-dimensional wall temperature are obtained and are tabulated for various values of the governing parameters. The present study reveals that, the presence of work done by deformation in the energy equation yields an augment in the fluid’s temperature.  相似文献

A study of the hydromagnetic flow due to a stretching sheet and heat transfer in an incompressible micropolar liquid is made. Temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and a non-uniform heat source/sink render the problem analytically intractable and hence a numerical study is made using the shooting method based on Runge-Kutta and Newton-Raphson methods. The two problems of horizontal and vertical stretching are considered to implement the numerical method. The former problem involves one-way coupling between linear momentum and heat transport equations and the latter involves two-way coupling. Further, both the problems involve two-way coupling between the non-linear equations of conservation of linear and angular momentums. A similarity transformation arrived at for the problem using the Lie group method facilitates the reduction of coupled, non-linear partial differential equations into coupled, non-linear ordinary differential equations. The algorithm for solving the resulting coupled, two-point, non-linear boundary value problem is presented in great detail in the paper. Extensive computation on velocity and temperature profiles is presented for a wide range of values of the parameters, for prescribed surface temperature (PST) and prescribed heat flux (PHF) boundary conditions.  相似文献

The steady Von Kármán flow and heat transfer of an electrically conducting non-Newtonian fluid is extended to the case where the disk surface admits partial slip. The fluid is subjected to an external uniform magnetic field perpendicular to the plane of the disk. The constitutive equation of the non-Newtonian fluid is modeled by that for a Reiner–Rivlin fluid. The momentum equations give rise to highly non-linear boundary value problem. Numerical solutions for the governing non-linear equations are obtained over the entire range of the physical parameters. The effects of slip, magnetic parameter and non-Newtonian fluid characteristics on the velocity and temperature fields are discussed in detail and shown graphically. Emphasis has been laid to study the effects of viscous dissipation and Joule heating on the thermal boundary layer. It is interesting to find that the non-Newtonian cross-viscous parameter has an opposite effect to that of the slip and the magnetic parameter on the velocity and the temperature fields.  相似文献

We consider a picture for the filtration of a liquid in a partiallysaturated porous medium, leading to a two-phase one-dimensionalfree boundary problem of the following type: The liquid pressuresatisfies an elliptic equation in the saturated region and anon-linear parabolic equation in the unsaturated region, whilepressure and velocity are continuous across the interface. This scheme reduces to the study of the non-linear parabolicfree boundary problem in the unsaturated phase with cauchy dataprescribed on the free boundary, for such a problem existence,uniqueness and continuous dependence theorems are proved.  相似文献
