In this paper we pay attention to the inconsistency in the derivation of the symmetric electromagnetic energy–momentum tensor for a system of charged particles from its canonical form, when the homogeneous Maxwell’s equations are applied to the symmetrizing gauge transformation, while the non-homogeneous Maxwell’s equations are used to obtain the motional equation. Applying the appropriate non-homogeneous Maxwell’s equations to both operations, we obtained an additional symmetric term in the tensor, named as “compensating term”. Analyzing the structure of this “compensating term”, we suggested a method of “gauge renormalization”, which allows transforming the divergent terms of classical electrodynamics (infinite self-force, self-energy and self-momentum) to converging integrals. The motional equation obtained for a non-radiating charged particle does not contain its self-force, and the mass parameter includes the sum of mechanical and electromagnetic masses. The motional equation for a radiating particle also contains the sum of mechanical and electromagnetic masses, and does not yield any “runaway solutions”. It has been shown that the energy flux in a free electromagnetic field is guided by the Poynting vector, whereas the energy flux in a bound EM field is described by the generalized Umov’s vector, defined in the paper. Intermediate mass fragment emission in induced reactions on Al and Ti at 60 and 104 MeV, respectively has been analysed using phenomenological moving source model. Fragment emission at backward angles is found to be well explained by a single fusion-like source, whereas for forward angles an additional intermediate velocity source is required to explain the data. The relative contribution of the intermediate velocity source decreases sharply with angle for lower energies and it extends significantly to larger angles in the higher energy reaction. The fractional momentum transfer for the fusion-like source is in agreement with the corresponding Viola systematics value in the case of +Al reaction, whereas for +Ti reaction, it is larger than that obtained from the Viola systematics. The degree of incompleteness (in momentum transfer) is found to be fragment dependent; incompleteness being more for lighter fragments and vice-versa.  相似文献

The energy of ground1,3S-states of negative positronium ion in the hyperspherical coordinates method has been calculated in Born-Oppenheimer and adiabatic approximations accounting the contribution of angle and radial correlation. Quasi-crossing points for autodetaching adiabatic potentials were revealed, which forms a structure in nonadiabatic potential. The received energy values have been compared with results of calculations performed using other methods. It was shown that in order to receive energy values with accuracy of 10−4 a.u. it is necessary to include more than 70 elements into the basis for determination of adiabatic potentials or to use Padé approximation on the basis dimension. The calculation with the deformed Woods-Saxon potential and residual interaction allowing for a twophonon admixture of the quadrupole, octupole and hexadecapole vibrational and two-quasiparticle states in164Dy have been made. The calculated excitation energies and B(E; =2, 3, 4) values are found to be in reasonable agreement with experimental data. The calculated 0+ states in168Er do not contradict experimental data. It is shown that the wave functions of states with energies below 2.3 MeV have dominating one-phonon components.  相似文献

In the context of 331 models we analyze the phenomenology of exotic T quarks with electric charge 2/3. We establish bounds for the corresponding masses and mixing angles and study the decay modes TbW, tZ and qH. It is found that the decays into scalars are strongly dependent on the model parameters and can be the dominant ones in a scenario with approximate flavor symmetry.  相似文献

The fusion reactions6Li(p, )3He,6Li(d, )4He, and7Li(p, )4He have been studied over the c.m. energy rangeE=10 to 1450 keV. Each reaction involved the use of hydrogen projectiles and LiF solid targets as well as Li projectiles and hydrogen molecular gas targets. In all cases the effects of electron screening on the low-energy fusion cross sections (exponential enhancement) have been observed; the effects are somewhat stronger in the case of atomicp ord projectiles compared to the case of molecularH 2 orD 2 gas targets. If isotopic effects on electron screening are negligible, all three reactions should exhibit the same enhancements for each set of experimental techniques. We investigate the possibility of producing hypernuclei with proton beams via (p, K +) reaction. We present differential cross sections calculations utilizing the distorted wave impulse approximation in momentum space. We consider the reactions12C(p,K +) 13 and16O(p,K +) 17 within the energy region 0.8 GeV1.2 GeV. We study both the case of formation of in S-state (12C) and P-state (16O). We take into account the contribution of both one-step and two-step processes when K pair is produced directly by incoming proton and intermediate pion, respectively. The status of neutrino oscillations from global data is summarized, with the focus on the three-flavour picture. The status of sterile neutrino oscillation interpretations of the LSND anomaly in the light of recent MiniBooNE results is also discussed. A detailed and large-scaled calculation is performed on the total electron impact excitation rate coefficients from the ground state to the 106 fine-structure levels in 3l-14l of Ni-like Gd36+ employing the relativistic configuration-interaction distorted-wave approximation. The resonance contributions from 3l174ln′′l′′ and 3l175ln′′l′′ doubly-excited states of Cu-like Gd35+ are taken into account using the isolated process and isolated resonances approximation. The effects of the radiative decays from the resonances are investigated carefully and are found to be significant. The present rate coefficients, as well as the collision strength, are compared extensively with the previously published results. We believe our results should be more accurate and reliable.  相似文献

We report transverse,R T , and longitudinal,R L , source sizes extracted from two-pion interferometry analysis in the Au+Au and Nb + Nb interactions at 650 A MeV. For the Nb+Nb interactions, both,R T andR L , do not exceed the niobium nucleus radius. We address the curious problem of quadratic Zeeman effect at the classical mechanical level. The problem has been very well understood for decades, but an analytical solution of the equations of motion is still to be found. This state of affairs persists because the simultaneous presence of the Coulombic and quadratic terms lowers the dynamical symmetry. Energy and orbital angular momentum are still constants of motion. We find the exact solutions by introducing the concept of an image ellipse. The quadratic effect leads to a dilation of space-time, and a one-to-one correspondence is observed for pairs of physical quantities like energy and angular momentum, and the maximum and minimum distances from the Coulomb center for the Zeeman orbit and the corresponding pairs for the image ellipse. Thus, instead of finding additional conserved quantities, we find constants of motion for an additional dynamics, namely, the image problem. The trajectory is open, in agreement with Bertrand’s theorem, but necessarily bound. A stable unbound trajectory does not exist for real values of energy and angular momentum. The radial distance, the angle covered in the plane of the orbit, and the time are uniquely determined by introducing further the concept of an image circle. While the radial distance is defined in a closed form as a transcendental function of the image-circular angle, the corresponding orbit angle and time variables are found in the form of two convergent series expansions. The latter two variables are especially contracted, thereby leading to a precession of the open cycles around the Coulomb center. It is expected that the space-time dilation effect observed here would somehow influence the solution of the quantum mechanical problem at the non-relativistic level.   相似文献

The fission fragment angular distributions for the system12C +232Th have been measured in the energy range 0.97<>c.m./VB<1.22. the=" measured=" anisotropies=" have=" been=" compared=" with=" the=" predictions=" of=" the=" standard=" saddle=" point=" statistical=" model,=" using=" the=" second=" moment=" of=" the=" compound=" nucleus=" spin=" distribution=">l2 deduced from a Wong model fit to the fission excitation function. While the measured anisotropies agree with the standard saddle point statistical model for Ec.m./VB>1.05, they are abnormally large at lower energies. This is also true for the existing measurements of16O and19F +232Th systems. Since for this system pre-equilibrium fission contributions are not expected, this anomaly indicates strong channel coupling effects leading to an increase in l2 at sub-barrier energies.The authors thank Drs. The tensor analysing powerA zz is calculated in the reaction with polarized deuteron break-up d+pp+p + n. Cross sections for70,72,73,74Ge(n, p)70,72,73,74Ga,70Ge(n, 2n)69Ge,72Ge (n,)69Zn m and74Ge(n, )71Zn m reactions are measured in the energy range from 13.0 to 16.6 MeV by the activation method using Ge(Li) detector-ray spectroscopy and compared with predictions of the reaction model incorporating preequilibrium and equilibrium emission mechanisms to interpret the energy dependence of the isotopic effect occuring in the (n, p) reaction. The fitted single-particle state-density parametersg, determined here for the germaniums are discussed together with theg-values found previously for the Se, Zr and Pd isotopic chains. A validity of the consistency condition between the precompound and compound models, which relatesg to the experimental level-density parametera viaa= 2 g/6 is demonstrated.  相似文献
