A change in the contact properties of the surface of a tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer film by treatment of its samples mounted on the cathode and anode in a dc discharge has been studied. It has been shown that the modification leads to a significant improvement in the contact properties of the films owing to the appearance of oxygen-containing polar groups on the polymer surface. The formation of such groups has been proved by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The peel strength of both the untreated and modified films was measured by the T-peel test method.  相似文献

Changes induced in the surface properties of films of a tetrafluoroethylene copolymer with perfluoropropylvinyl ether by direct-current discharge have been investigated, depending on the discharge parameters. It has been shown that the treatment of the films at the anode is more effective than at the cathode. A change in the contact properties of the modified films during their storage in air under ambient conditions and upon heating to 150°C has been examined. The chemical composition of the surface of the films after modification, storage, and heating has been studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fouriertransform IR spectroscopy. It has been found that dc discharge treatment significantly improves the adhesion properties of the films and barely affects their light transmission.  相似文献

The change in the surface and mechanical properties of styrene-butyl methacrylate-aminostyrene terpolymer films by plasma treatment was investigated. It was found that treatment in a direct-current discharge enhanced the mechanical strength of the terpolymer surface, which can be associated with the crosslinking of linear macromolecules into a three-dimensional network structure. It was shown that the most substantial changes in the mechanical strength are achieved in the case of terpolymer film treatment at the anode.  相似文献

The effect of dc discharge treatment at the anode and cathode on the surface properties of tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer films was studied. It was found that the modification of the films under conditions that ensure the separation of the discharge active species acting on the polymer materials makes it possible to achieve substantially lower values for the contact angle and higher values for the work of adhesion and surface energy than in the case of other modes of discharge. A change in the composition and structure of the films was studied by means of IR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The effect of treatment in a low-pressure dc discharge on the surface properties of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) films modified at the anode and cathode was examined. It was found that the anode treatment of the films considerably improves the adhesive properties of the polymer and makes it possible to obtain substantially lower values of the contact angle and higher values of the work of adhesion and surface energy than in the case of other PTFE surface modification techniques. By means of IR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, it was shown that discharge treatment at the anode and cathode noticeably increases the amount of oxygen-containing groups on the surface of the films.  相似文献

The surface properties of polypropylene (PP) films modified in a direct-current discharge at the anode and cathode, as well as their change during long-term storage were studied. It was shown that the greatest decrease in the contact angles and the increase in the total surface energy and the polar component are observed for the films treated at the anode. It has been found that treatment in dc discharge results in a substantial and time-invariant increase in the surface energy of poly(vinylidene fluoride) films. This effect is obviously due to the formation of oxygen-containing groups on the polymer surface, a fact that is corroborated by Fourier-transform IR spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data. It has been shown that dc discharge is more effective in altering the contact properties of the polymer surface than low-frequency glow discharge.  相似文献

The electret properties of tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer films modified in direct-current discharge were studied. It was shown that the treatment of the films mounted on the anode had an insignificant effect on the relaxation of negative homocharge despite substantial changes in the chemistry of the surface. However, the low-temperature relaxation process responsible for the instability of the electret state in the untreated film is completely suppressed in the case of decay of positive homocharge. Deep traps associated with high-temperature relaxation processes in the polymer are simultaneously eliminated from the spectrum of surface states.  相似文献

The radio-frequency plasma polymerization technique was used to polymerize aniline onto polymer substrates including perfluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer. The plasma-polyaniline films were characterized by ultraviolet/visible absorption spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, electron spin resonance, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and contact angle measurements. Preliminary conductivity measurements were also carried out. It was demonstrated that the chemical and physical characteristics of the plasma-polymerized poly-aniline films changed significantly with discharge conditions, indicating the possibility for tailoring the structure and properties of the polyaniline films by optimizing the discharge conditions. In particular, the contents of quinoid sequences and aliphatic crosslinking moieties were found to increase with increasing power input and/or discharge duration. By contrast, the number of free radicals trapped in the polyaniline films and their mobility were shown to increase with decreasing the power input and/or discharge duration within the plasma conditions covered in this study. Furthermore, a correlation was found between surface hydrophilicity of the resultant plasma-polyaniline films and the atomic ratio of C to N. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Thin 1-aminonaphthalene polymer films have been obtained for the first time by polymerization at the cathode and anode in dc discharge. The elemental composition, chemical structure, and thermal stability of the polymer have been studied by pyrolysis chromatography, IR and UV spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry, respectively. Chitosan-dextran branched copolymers have been synthesized, and the rheological properties of their aqueous acetic acid solutions have been studied. On the basis of the data of FTIR spectroscopy, the formation of chemical bonds between chitosan and dextran at the nitrogen atom has been confirmed. With the use of dynamic mechanical analysis and differential scanning calorimetry, the temperatures of relaxation transitions in the resulting branched copolymers have been determined. It is shown that, along with the formation of a branched copolymer, the chemical crosslinking of chitosan macrochains can occur. Mechanical properties of films formed from solutions of the obtained polymers have been studied.  相似文献

利用接触角、XPS、SFG、AFM等技术研究了环己酮、甲苯和三氟甲苯为成膜溶剂所得聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯-b-聚(甲基丙烯酸-2-全氟辛基乙酯)(PMMA—b—PFMA)嵌段共聚物膜的表面结构与性能.发现浇铸成膜时成膜溶剂对聚合物氟化组分向表面富集程度的影响相对较小,而旋涂成膜时溶剂的影响很大.不管以何种形式成膜,三氟甲苯溶剂最有利于氟化组分向表面富集,甲苯次之,环己酮最差.这一现象与溶剂的挥发速度无关.聚合物在溶液中的聚集结构、气/液界面结构是造成成膜方式对聚合物表面结构与性能产生巨大影响的主要原因.当聚合物在溶液中形成以PFMA为核、PMMA为冠的胶束结构时,在溶液固化过程中氟化组分向表面富集需要较长的时间,这时由于成膜方法直接影响溶液的固化速度,造成其对氟化组分向表面富集的程度影响很大.当聚合物在溶液中以单分子或松散聚集体存在,在溶液固化过程中氟化组分向表面富集的速度很快,这时成膜方法对氟化组分向表面富集的程度影响很小.以上结果无论对理论研究还是应用研究都具有重要意义.  相似文献

The influence of the treatment of various structures polyfluoroolefine films by the direct-current discharge at the anode and cathode on the properties of the surface (the value of the contact angles of wettability, work of adhesion, and surface energy and its polar and dispersive components) is studied. Measurements of the peel strength of plasma-treated films are conducted. It is shown that the direct-current discharge treatment makes it possible to substantially increase the peel strength of the polyfluoroolefin films.  相似文献

The effect of treatment in low-pressure direct-current discharge on the surface properties of poly(1-trimethylsilyl)-1-propyne) membranes was investigated by the goniometric technique. It was shown that the treatment of the membranes at the anode makes it possible to significantly improve their contact properties (to increase the hydrophilicity of the surface). The structure of the membranes before and after plasma treatment was examined by means of Fourier-transform IR reflection spectroscopy. In addition, the sorption of ethanol onto the plasma-treated and untreated membranes was studied with the use of this technique in the transmission mode and it was assumed that it proceeds via different mechanisms, a behavior that can be due to a change in the free volume of the polymer or the formation of a surface charge on the membrane as a result of plasma treatment.  相似文献

The effect of dc discharge on norbornene-ethylene copolymer films containing 30 and 60% norbornene was studied. It was found that plasma treatment leads to substantial changes in the surface properties of the copolymer, the enhancement of wettability, and an increase in the work of adhesion and surface energy, including its polar term. The change in the surface structure of the films was investigated by means of Fourier-transform IR spectroscopy. Transparent and colorless triplexes with a light transmission of 86–90% were prepared on the basis of the discharge-modified copolymer films and a cycloaliphatic epoxy resin.  相似文献
