The results of investigations of inviscid flow over inverted cones with nose consisting of a spherical segment were published for the first time in Soviet literature in [1–4]. In the present paper, a numerical solution to this problem is obtained using the improved algorithms of [5, 6], which have proved themselves well in problems of exterior flow over surfaces with positive angles of inclination to the oncoming flow. It is shown that the Mach number 2 M , equilibrium and nonequilibrium physicochemical transformations in air (H = 60 km, V = 7.4 km/sec, R0 = 1 m), and the angle of attack 0 40° influence the investigated pressure distributions. A comparison of the results of the calculations with drainage experiments for M = 6, = 0-25° confirms the extended region of applicability of the developed numerical methods. Also proposed is a simple correlation of the dependence on the Mach number in the range 1.5 M of the shape of the shock wave near a sphere in a stream of ideal gas with adiabatic exponent = 1.4.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 178–183, January–February, 1981.  相似文献

Calculations of the flow of the mixture 0.94 CO2+0.05 N2+0.01 Ar past the forward portion of segmentai bodies are presented. The temperature, pressure, and concentration distributions are given as a function of the pressure ahead of the shock wave and the body velocity. Analysis of the concentration distribution makes it possible to formulate a simplified model for the chemical reaction kinetics in the shock layer that reflects the primary flow characteristics. The density distributions are used to verify the validity of the binary similarity law throughout the shock layer region calculated. The flow of a CO2+N2+Ar gas mixture of varying composition past a spherical nose was examined in [1]. The basic flow properties in the shock layer were studied, particularly flow dependence on the free-stream CO2 and N2 concentration.New revised data on the properties of the Venusian atmosphere have appeared in the literature [2, 3] One is the dominant CO2 concentration. This finding permits more rigorous formulation of the problem of blunt body motion in the Venus atmosphere, and attention can be concentrated on revising the CO2 thermodynamic and kinetic properties that must be used in the calculation. The problem of supersonic nonequilibrium flow past a blunt body is solved within the framework of the problem formulation of [4].Notation V body velocity - shock wave standoff - universal gas constant - ratio of frozen specific heats - hRt/m enthalpy per unit mass undisturbed stream P pressure - density - T temperature - m molecular weight - cp specific heat at constant pressure - (X) concentration of component X (number of particles in unit mass) - R body radius of curvature at the stagnation point - j rate of j-th chemical reaction shock layer P V 2 pressure - density - TT temperature - mm molecular weight Translated from Izv. Steady flow of supersonic air over a sphere is examined, allowing for viscosity, heat conduction, and actual physical and chemical processes. Flow in the shock layer at flight speeds in the range 3 km/sec V10 km/sec (104R106) is investigated, under the assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium. The flow is described by simplified Navier-Stokes equations, which are solved by a finite difference method. The case of a cooled surface is examined. The distribution of gasdynamic parameters is obtained in different flow regimes. The distribution of heat flux and friction coefficient is investigated as a function of the oncoming-stream parameters and the sphere radius. The shape and position of the shock wave are determined, and the stream lines and sonic lines are constructed.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 4, pp. 150–153, July–August, 1970.The authors thank Yu. We consider infiltration into a soil that is assumed to have hydraulic conductivity of the form K = K = Kseh and water content of the form = K – r. Here h denotes capillary pressure head while Ks, , and r represent soil specific parameters. These assumptions linearize the flow equation and permit a closed form solution that displays the roles of all the parameters appearing in the hydraulic function K and . We assume Ks and r to be known. A measurement of diffusivity fixes the product of and resulting in a parameter identification problem for one parameter. We show that this parameter identification problem, in some cases, has a unique solution. We also show that, in some cases, this parameter identification problem can have multiple solutions, or no solution. In addition it is shown that solutions to the parameter identification problem can be very sensitive to small changes in the problem data.  相似文献

A cold gas is injected from a slot into a free stream of hot gas. In a simple model this leads to a two-fluid free boundary problem with the jump relation |u-|2–|u+|2 = ( constant) on the free boundary {u=0}, where u is the stream function. We prove that for any (–1, ) there exists a unique solution (Q, u) where Q is the flux of the injected fluid. Various properties of the solution u and of the free boundary are established.  相似文献

An analytical and numerical study of protective properties of hotair screens is performed for a plane wave with a triangular profile. The reduction of the shockwave pressure behind the screen is only observed at temperatures higher a certain critical value; at lower temperatures, the pressure is higher than that in a shock wave traveling in an isothermal gas. With allowance for real properties of air, an analytical relation between the critical temperature of the hot screen and the incidentwave intensity is obtained.  相似文献

For many solid materials the stress relaxation process obeys the universal relationF = – (d/d lnt)max = (0.1 ± 0.01) ( 0 i ), regardless of the structure of the material. Here denotes the stress,t the time, 0 the initial stress of the experiment and i the internal stress. A cooperative model accounting for the similarity in relaxation behaviour between different materials was developed earlier. Since this model has a spectral character, the concepts of linear viscoelasticity are used here to evaluate the corresponding prediction of the dynamic mechanical properties, i.e. the frequency dependence of the storageE () and lossE () moduli. Useful numerical approximations ofE () andE () are also evaluated. It is noted that the universal relation in stress relaxation had a counterpart in the frequency dependence ofE (). The theoretical prediction of the loss factor for high-density polyethylene is compared with experimental results. The agreement is good.  相似文献

We study isolated singularities of the quasilinear equation in an open set of N , where 1 < p N, p -1 q < N(p — 1)/ (N -p). We prove that, for any positive solution, if a singularity at the origin is not removable then either or u(x)/(x) any positive constant as x 0 where is the fundamental solution of the p-harmonic equation: . Global positive solutions are also classified.  相似文献

An unsteady viscous shock layer near a stagnation point is studied. The Navier-Stokes equations are analyzed in the limit 1, Re0 , df/dt = n-mF(t/m). The Reynolds number Re0 is defined in the paper by Eq. (1.3) (df/dt is the velocity of the body with respect to an inertial frame of reference moving with the original steady velocity –V't8, 2 = ( – 1)/( + 1)). Various flow regimes in the case 1, l, n max(2m, m + 1), m 0, where 2 = 1/Re0 are analyzed. Equations are derived that generalize the asymptotic analysis to the case of a viscous unsteady flow of gas in a thin three-dimensional shock layer. The problem of a thin unsteady viscous shock layer near the stagnation point of a body with two curvatures is formulated. Examples of numerical solution are given for different ratios of the principal curvatures of the body, the wall temperature, the parameters of the original steady flow, and the acceleration and deceleration regimes.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 100–111, March–April, 1981.I thank Yu. The unsteady laminar boundary layer flow is investigated for a semi-infinite flat plate subjected to impulsive motion. An approximate solution is obtained by utilizing Meksyn's method. These results vary smoothly from Rayleigh's unsteady solution to the steady state solution of Blasius. Results are compared to those of Lam and Crocco.Nomenclature A expansion coefficient, see eq. Experimental investigations of the influence of streamwise streaky structures on turbulization of a circular laminar jet are described. The qualitative characteristics of jet evolution are studied by smoke visualization of the flow pattern in the jet and by filming the transverse and longitudinal sections of the jet illuminated by the laser sheet with image stroboscopy. It is shown that the streaky structures can be generated directly at the nozzle exit, and their interaction with the Kelvin–Helmholtz ring vortices leads to emergence of azimuthal beams ( structures) by a mechanism similar to threedimensional distortion of the twodimensional Tollmien–Schlichting wave at the nonlinear stage of the classical transition in nearwall flows. The effect of the jetexhaustion velocity and acoustic action on jet turbulization is considered.  相似文献

The behavior of the neutral stability curves is investigated for various values of the particle relaxation time and mass concentration 0 100 and 0 f 0.1. It is shown that as increases from zero the flow is at first destabilized and then at >6 becomes stable, while at >40 the stabilizing effect of the dispersed phase grows weaker. It is found that there is a certain interval 10< <40 on which the flow is most stable.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 46–53, January–February, 1986.  相似文献

Linear and nonlinear viscoelastic properties were examined for a 50 wt% suspension of spherical silica particles (with radius of 40 nm) in a viscous medium, 2.27/1 (wt/wt) ethylene glycol/glycerol mixture. The effective volume fraction of the particles evaluated from zero-shear viscosities of the suspension and medium was 0.53. At a quiescent state the particles had a liquid-like, isotropic spatial distribution in the medium. Dynamic moduli G* obtained for small oscillatory strain (in the linear viscoelastic regime) exhibited a relaxation process that reflected the equilibrium Brownian motion of those particles. In the stress relaxation experiments, the linear relaxation modulus G(t) was obtained for small step strain (0.2) while the nonlinear relaxation modulus G(t, ) characterizing strong stress damping behavior was obtained for large (>0.2). G(t, ) obeyed the time-strain separability at long time scales, and the damping function h() (–G(t, )/G(t)) was determined. Steady flow measurements revealed shear-thinning of the steady state viscosity () for small shear rates (< –1; = linear viscoelastic relaxation time) and shear-thickening for larger (>–1). Corresponding changes were observed also for the viscosity growth and decay functions on start up and cessation of flow, + (t, ) and (t, ). In the shear-thinning regime, the and dependence of +(t,) and (t,) as well as the dependence of () were well described by a BKZ-type constitutive equation using the G(t) and h() data. On the other hand, this equation completely failed in describing the behavior in the shear-thickening regime. These applicabilities of the BKZ equation were utilized to discuss the shearthinning and shear-thickening mechanisms in relation to shear effects on the structure (spatial distribution) and motion of the suspended particles.Dedicated to the memory of Prof. Dale S. The problem of laminar, natural convection flow over a slender frustum of a cone is treated in this paper. The governing differential equations are solved by a combination of quasi-linearization and finite-difference methods. Numerical solutions are obtained for Pr=0.7 and for a range of values of the transverse curvature parameter. It is shown that the effect of transverse curvature is of great significance in such flows.

Equations are derived for the gasdynamics of a dense plasma confined by a multiple-mirror magnetic field. The limiting cases of large and small mean free paths have been analyzed earlier: 0 and k, where is the length of an individual mirror machine, 0 is the size of the mirror, and k is the mirror ratio. The present work is devoted to a study of the intermediate range of mean free paths 0 k. It is shown that in this region of the parameters the process of expansion of the plasma has a diffusional nature, and the coefficients of transfer of the plasma along the magnetic field are calculated.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 6, pp. 14–19, November–December, 1974.The authors thank D. For a smooth, bounded domain R, n 3, and a real, positive parameter, we consider the hyperbolic equationu tt +u t u=–f(u)g in with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Under certain conditions onf, this equation has a global attractorA inH 0 1 () ×L 2(). For=0, the parabolic equation also has a global attractor which can be naturally embedded into a compact setA 0 inH 0 1 () ×L 2(). If all of the equilibrium points of the parabolic equation are hyperbolic, it is shown that the setsA are lower semicontinuous at=0. Moreover, we give an estimate of the symmetric distance betweenA 0 andA .  相似文献

A self-similar solution of the Navier-Stokes equations describing steady-state axisymmetric viscous incompressible fluid flow in a half-space is investigated. The motion is induced by sources or sinks distributed over a vertical axis with a constant density. The horizontal plane bounding the fluid is a free surface. It is found that in the presence of sources a solution of the above type exists and is unique for any value of the Reynolds numberR > 0, but in the case of sinks only on the interval –2 R < 0. The results of calculating the self-similar solutions are presented. The asymptotics of the solutions are found asR 0 andR .Novosibirsk. The purpose of this study is the construction of interpolation formulas for the dependence of Maxwell viscosity, a quantity which is the reciprocal of shear-strain relaxation time , on shear-strain intensity and temperature for several metals: iron, aluminum, copper, and lead. This function was interpolated in various temperature and deformation velocity ranges in accordance with available experimental data for iron (0 107 sec–1, 200 ° T 1500 °); aluminum (0 107 sec–1, 300 ° T 900 °); copper (0 105 sec–1, 300 ° T 1300 °); lead (0 106 sec–1, 90 ° T 400 °); temperatures in °K.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 4, pp. 114–118, July–August, 1974.  相似文献

The complete Navier-Stokes equations for a compressible viscous perfect heat conducting gas have been used in a numerical investigation of laminar separation in the case of supersymmetric axisymmetric flow past cylinders with a conical nose and a spike at the front of finite thickness. The flow structure has been studied in its dependence on the length of the spike and the half-angle of the conical tip. For the considered free-stream parameters (2 M 6, 100 Re 500) and spike lengths, which do not exceed the diameter of the cylinder, the existence of steady flow regimes has been established and it has been shown that the spike in front of the body reduces its total drag and the heat flux to its surface.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 126–131, March–April, 1984.  相似文献

On laminar flow through a uniformly porous pipe   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Numerous investigations ([1] and [4–9]) have been made of laminar flow in a uniformly porous circular pipe with constant suction or injection applied at the wall. The object of this paper is to give a complete analysis of the numerical and theoretical solutions of this problem. It is shown that two solutions exist for all values of injection as well as the dual solutions for suction which had been noted by previous investigators. Analytical solutions are derived for large suction and injection; for large suction a viscous layer occurs at the wall while for large injection one solution has a viscous layer at the centre of the channel and the other has no viscous layer anywhere. Approximate analytic solutions are also given for small values of suction and injection.
