Exponential Decay of Energy for a Logarithmic Wave Equation

In this paper we consider the initial boundary value problem for a class of logarithmic wave equation. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov function, we obtain the decay estimates of energy for the logarithmic wave equation with linear damping and some suitable initial data. The results extend the early results.

Energy Decay of Solution to a Nonlinear Wave Equation of Kirchhoff Type

The paper studies the asymptotic behavior of solution to the initial boundary value problem for a nonlinear hyperbolic equation of Kirchhoff type It proves the global existence of solution by constructing a stable set and the energy exponential decayestimate by applying a lemma of V Komornik.

In this paper,we study a Dirichlet-type boundary value problem（BVP） of nonlinear fractional differential equation with an order α∈(3,4],where the fractional derivative D^α_o⁺is the standard Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative.By constructing the Green function and investigating its properties,we obtain some criteria for the existence of one positive solution and two positive solutions for the above BVP.The Krasnosel’skii fixedpoint theorem in cones is used here.We also give an example to illustrate the applicability of our results.     

Solutions to Boundary Value Problem of Nonlinear Impulsive Differential Equation of Fractional Order

This paper is devoted to study the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a boundary value problem of nonlinear fractional differential equation with impulsive effects.The arguments are based upon Schauder and Banach fixed-point theorems. We improve and generalize the results presented in[B.Ahmad,S.Sivasundaram, Existence results for nonlinear impulsive hybrid boundary value problems involving fractional differential equations,Nonlinear Analysis：Hybrid Systems,3（2009）,251- 258].

On the Decay Property of Solutions of Viscous Burgers Equation with Boundary Feedback

In this article, we will investigate the viscous Burgers equation with boundary feedback. The existence of the solution is proved by constructing a convergence sequence inductively. Moreover, the decay property of the solution is shown based on the maximum principle for nonlinear parabolic equations.

Existence and Exponential Decay of Solutions for a Wave Equation with Integral Nonlocal Boundary Conditions of Memory Type

In this paper, we consider a wave equation with integral nonlocal boundary conditions of memory type. First, we establish two local existence theorems by using Faedo–Galerkin method and standard arguments of density. Next, we give a su?cient condition to guarantee the global existence and exponential decay of weak solutions. Finally, we present numerical results.     

Infinite Sequence Solutions for Space-Time Fractional Symmetric Regularized Long Wave Equation

In this paper, we investigate the space-time fractional symmetric regularized long wave equation. By using the Bäcklund transformations and nonlinear superposition formulas of solutions to Riccati equation, we present infinite sequence solutions for space-time fractional symmetric regularized long wave equation. This method can be extended to solve other nonlinear fractional partial differential equations.

Asymptotic Stability of Traveling Wave Solutions for Perturbations with Algebraic Decay

For a class of scalar partial differential equations that incorporate convection, diffusion, and possibly dispersion in one space and one time dimension, the stability of traveling wave solutions is investigated. If the initial perturbation of the traveling wave profile decays at an algebraic rate, then the solution is shown to converge to a shifted wave profile at a corresponding temporal algebraic rate, and optimal intermediate results that combine temporal and spatial decay are obtained. The proofs are based on a general interpolation principle which says that algebraic decay results of this form always follow if exponential temporal decay holds for perturbation with exponential spatial decay and the wave profile is stable for general perturbations.     

Periodic Solutions of Nonlinear Wave Equations with Dissipative Boundary Conditions

Applying Nash-Moser's implicit function theorem, the author proves the existence of periodic solution to nonlinear wave equation u_{tt} - u_{xx} + εg(t, x, u, u_t, u_x, u_{tt}, u_{tx}, u_{xx}) = 0 with a dissipative boundary condition, provided ε is sufficiently small.
