Mass Spectra of unsubstituted, 2-methyl-, 3-methyl and 2,3-dimethylchromones were examined. These compounds showed [RDA]+˙ and [RDA + H]+ ions as characteristc ions, together with [M? H]+,[M? CO]+˙,[M? CHO]+ and [RDA? CO]+˙ ions. Based on deuterium labelling experiments and measurement of metastable peaks by the ion kinetic energy defocusing technique, the origin of transferred hydrogen in the [RDA + H]+ ion was clarified. The mechanism of the [RDA + H]+ ion formation is discussed.  相似文献

Methyl 2-oxocycIoalkane carboxylate structures are proposed lor the [M ? MeOH] ions from dimethyl adipate, pimelate, suberate and azelate. This proposal is based on a comparison of the metastable ion mass spectra and the kinetic energy releases for the major fragmentation reaction of these species with the same data for the molecular ions of authentic cyclic β-keto esters. The mass spectra of α,α,α′,α′-d4-pimelic acid and its dimethyl ester indicate that the α-hydrogens are involved only to a minor extent in the formation of [M ? ROH] and [M ? 2ROH] ions, while these α-hydrogens are involved almost exclusively in the loss of ROH from the [M ? RO˙]+ ions (R = H or CH3). The molecules XCO(CH2)7COOMe (X = OH, Cl) form abundant ions in their mass spectra with the same structure as the [M ? 2MeOH] ions from dimethyl azelate.  相似文献

The CI mass spectra of aryl ketones, πCOR, were studied and found to give primarily [M + 29]+, [M + 1]+, [M ? 1]+, [πCO]+ and [RCO]+ ions. The major change in the spectra with increasing length of the aliphatic side chain was an increase in the [M ? 1]+/[M + 1]+ ratio. Increasing sample size was reflected primarily in the formation of [2M + 1]+ ions and a decrease in [M + 1]+ ions. Small amounts of water in the reactant gas reduced the extent of fragmentation action.  相似文献

To test the similarity of chemical ionization (CI) spectra of esters to the collision-induced decomposition mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy (CID-MIKE) spectra of protonated esters, the CID-MIKE spectra of the [M + 1]+ ions of nineteen aliphatic esters were studied. The major fragments produced in the two kinds of experiment are similar, but there are significant differences in the ions of high mass, which would reduce the usefulness of library searches of CI spectra to identify MIKE spectra of [M + 1]+ ions.  相似文献

The ion intensity ratios from competing α-fissions of 30 tertiary aliphatic alcohols and 24 ethers of tertiary alcohols have been measured at 13 eV. The intensity ratios of ions [M ? alkyl1]+ and [M ? alkyl2]+ agree well with the reciprocal mass ratios of the respective ions in the case when the alkyl groups are not methyl (ion mass effect). The intensity ratios of [M ? alkyl]+ and [M ? methyl]+ are always too high, but intensity ratios of [M ? alkyl1]+ and [M ? alkyl2]+ may be derived indirectly from them, which also agree well with those values expected from the ion mass effect. By the indirect method it is shown, that for the 2,2-dialkyl-1,3-dioxolanes (ethylene ketals) the ion mass effect plays a dominant role too.  相似文献

The mass spectra of five diazaphenanthrenes formed by photochemical cyclodehydrogenation of styryl diazines are investigated. It is shown that fragmentation of these compounds starts almost exclusively at the heterocyclic part of the molecule and proceeds by competitive α-cleavage. From the intensity ratios of the ions [M ? H˙]+, [M ? HCN]+˙, [M ? N2]+˙ and [M ? 2 HCN]+˙ generated in this way, each isomer can unequivocally be identified.  相似文献

The major mass spectrometric fragments of ms-tetraphenylporphin and ms-tetra(p-chloro)phenylporphin are [M ? H]+˙ and [M ? Cl]+˙, respectively. Metal derivatives of these compounds give a modified characteristic fragmentation pattern with peak groups ending in the ions [M ? 4H]+˙, [M ? ? ? 5H]+˙ and [M ? 2? ? 2H]+˙ for the metallo ms-tetraphenylporphins, and [M ? ?Cl ? 2Cl ? 3H]+˙ and [M ? 2?Cl ? Cl ? H]+˙ for Mgms-tetra(p-chloro)phenylporphin. Deuterated metal derivatives indicate random hydrogen loss from both phenyl and pyrrole carbons. However, metal substituents do not significantly modify the fragmentation pattern in the case of ms-tetra(p-methoxy)phenylporphin. These patterns can be explained in terms of aromatic stabilization of the fragmentation products, coupled with charge localization on the π system in the free base, on the metal atom in the metallo derivatives and on the methoxy function in the p-methoxyphenyl derivative.  相似文献

The mass spectral fragmentations of methyl mono- and dichlorobutanates have been studied. Deutrium labelling and metastable ion analysis were used to elucidate the fragmentation mechanisms. The molecular ion peaks of the esters are weak and show only in the spectra of the monochloro isomers. A McLafferty rearrangement gives the base peaks in the spectra of methyl 2-chloro-, 4-chloro- and 4,4-dichlorobutanoate; α-cleavage, [COOCH3]+, in methyl 2,2- and 2,4-dichlorobutanoate; [M? Cl]+, in methyl 3-chlorobutanoate; [M? Cl? HCl]+, in methyl 3,4-dichlorobutanoate; [M? Cl? CH2CO]+, in methyl 3,3-dichlorobutanoate and [M? Cl? COOCH3], in methyl erythro- and threo-2,3-dichlorobutanoate. The mass spectra of the stereoisomers are nearly identical, the loss of a chlorine atom and the McLafferty rearrangement giving the higher peaks in the spectrum of the threo form.  相似文献

Organophosphate esters (OPEs) are chemical compounds incorporated into materials as flame‐proof and/or plasticizing agents. In this work, 13 non‐halogenated and 5 halogenated OPEs were studied. Their mass spectra were interpreted and compared in terms of fragmentation patterns and dominant ions via various ionization techniques [electron ionization (EI) and chemical ionization (CI) under vacuum and corona discharge atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI)] on gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC‐MS). The novelty of this paper relies on the investigation of APCI technique for the analysis of OPEs via favored protonation mechanism, where the mass spectra were mostly dominated by the quasi‐molecular ion [M + H]+. The EI mass spectra were dominated by ions such as [H4PO4]+, [M–R]+, [M–Cl]+, and [M–Br]+, and for some non‐halogenated aryl OPEs, [M]+● was also observed. The CI mass spectra in positive mode were dominated by [M + H]+ and sometimes by [M–R]+, while in negative mode, [M–R] and more particularly [X] and [X2]‐● were mainly observed for the halogenated OPEs. Both EI and APCI techniques showed promising results for further development of instrumental method operating in selective reaction monitoring mode. Instrumental detection limits by using APCI mode were 2.5 to 25 times lower than using EI mode for the non‐brominated OPEs, while they were determined at 50‐100 times lower by the APCI mode than by the EI mode, for the two brominated OPEs. The method was applied to fish samples, and monitored transitions by using APCI mode showed higher specificity but lower stability compared with EI mode. Low molecular weight polyisobutylenes (PIB) with chlorine, olefin and succinic acid end‐groups were studied using direct analysis in real time mass spectrometry (DART‐MS). To facilitate the adduct ion formation under DART conditions, NH4Cl as an auxiliary reagent was deposited onto the PIB surface. It was found that chlorinated adduct ions of olefin and chlorine telechelic PIBs, i.e. [M + Cl]? up to m/z 1100, and the deprotonated polyisobutylene succinic acid [M? H]? were formed as observed in the negative ion mode. In the positive ion mode formation of [M + NH4]+, adduct ions were detected. In the tandem mass (MS/MS) spectra of [M + Cl]?, product ions were absent, suggesting a simple dissociation of the precursor [M + Cl]? into a Cl? ion and a neutral M without fragmentation of the PIB backbones. However, structurally important product ions were produced from the corresponding [M + NH4]+ ions, allowing us to obtain valuable information on the arm‐length distributions of the PIBs containing aromatic initiator moiety. In addition, a model was developed to interpret the oligomer distributions and the number average molecular weights observed in DART‐MS for PIBs and other polymers of low molecular weight. Electron ionization-induced fragmentations were studied in a set of saturated pyrrolo[2,1-b][1,3]oxazin-6-one derivatives fused to either cycloalkane or cycloalkene rings, including seven pairs of cis/trans and endo/exo annelation isomers. Fragmentation patterns were confirmed by accurate mass measurements and metastable ion spectra. A number of striking differences were observed between the mass spectra of cyclohexene-fused isomers due to highly stereospecific retro-Diels-Alder (RDA) fragmentation of their M ions. The observed 90% stereospecificity is abnormally high in the light of the recent classification (A. Mandelbaum, 1994) of stereospecific RDA fragmentations according to the degree of substitution of the cyclohexene ring being cleaved. In the absence of RDA processes, the differences between the mass spectra of cyclohexane-fused isomers originated from heterocyclic fragmentations. The assumed mechanistic interpretation of the observed differences, e. g., in the formation of [M − C3H5O]+ ions, was consistent with the condensed-state conformations of these isomers determined previously by NMR and X-ray diffraction studies. Because of rapid RDA decompositions of their rather unstable M ions, the spectra of the diendo/diexo norbornene-fused isomers were virtually identical.  相似文献

The positive electron impact (EI) and isobutane chemical ionization (CI) mass spectra of six nitramine nitrates were studied with the aid of some accurate mass measurements. In the EI spectra, β fission relative to both the nitramine and nitrate ester is important. In the CI spectra a major ion occurs at [MH – 45]+ and was found to be mainly due to [M + 2H ? NO2]+. All of the compounds except N-(2 hydroxyethyl)-N-(2′,4′,6′-trinitrophenyl)nitramine nitrate gave an [MH]+ ion. The [MH – 45]+ ion in the isobutane CI mass spectra of tetryl is also due to [M + 2H ? The chemical ionization mass spectra of several hydroxy steroids were obtained using methane as the reactant gas. The spectra are much less complex than the electron ionization spectra and little fragmentation of the steroid nucleus is observed. The major fragment ions involve the loss of water from [M + H]+. A 3-keto group in the steroids was characterized by an abundant [M + C2H5]+ ion. 5α- and 5β-Dihydrotestosterone could be distinguished by their spectra, with H2 as the reactant gas by marked differences in amounts of [M + H]+, [M + H ? H2O]+ and [M + H ? 2H2O]+. Substituted 3α-X-, 17 β-ol compounds, (X = Cl, Br) were also studied to obtain relative amounts of protonation at these sites.  相似文献

Changes in the mass spectra with inlet temperature were used in this work to demonstrate the dependence of keto-enol tautomerism of acetylacetone, 3-methyl acetylacetone and 3-allyl acetylacetone on temperature. The largest dependence of temperature were shown by the ion [M ? 42]+. arising from a McLafferty type rearrangement and by the ion [M ? Me]+ resulting from simple α-cleavage. The ion [M ? 42]+. peak increases with the temperature of the inlet system while the ion [M ? Me]+ peak decreases. By assuming that the ion [M ? 42]+. represents the keto form and that the ion [M ? Me]+ represents the cis-enol form (stabilized by the hydrogen bond) one sees that the direction of the intensity variation of these peaks with temperature is in accord with the expected change of keto-enol tautomerism with temperature. A quantitative correlation on the basis of the above assumptions is also approached. Recording of the mass spectra of these three β-diketones at different energies of the incident electrons enables us to estimate whether or not the particular ions present in the mass spectra result from energetically favourable processes. The variation of the intensities of the peaks with the temperature of the inlet at different electron energies is also discussed.  相似文献

The mass spectra of 30 sulfinamide derivatives (RSONHR', R' alkyl or p-XC6H4) are reported. Most of the spectra had peaks attributable to thermal decomposition products. For some compounds these were identified by pyrolysis under similar conditions to be: RSO2NHR', RSO2SR, RSSR and NH2R' (in all kinds of sulfinyl amides); RSNHR' (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides); RSO2C6H4NH2, RSOC6H4NH2 and RSC6H4NH2 (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides of the type of X = H) The mass spectra of the three thermally stable compounds showed that there are several kinds of common fragment ions. The mass spectra of the thermally labile compounds had two groups of ions; (i) characteristic fragment ions of the intact molecules and (ii) the molecular ions of the thermal decomposition products. It was concluded that the sulfinamides give the following ions after electron impact: [M]+, [M ? R]+, [M ? R + H]+, [M ? SO]+, [RS]+, [NHR']+, [NHR' + H]+, [RSO]+, [RSO + H]+, [R]+, [R + H]+, [R']+ and [M ? OH]+, and that the thermal decomposition products give the following ions: [RSO2SR]+, [RSSR]+, [M ? O]+, [M + O]+ and [RSOC6H4NH2]+.  相似文献

The peak intensity ratios of [M]+. vs. [MH]+ were measured in the fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of readily available test compounds with 3-nitrobenzyl alcohol as the matrix. For simple aromatic amines, the ratio increases as the ionization energy of the substrate decreases. 4-Substituted benzophenones showed preferential formation of [MH]+ ions, regardless of the nature of the substituents. This is probably due to the fact that the benzophenoes have carbonyl groups which can form hydrogen bonds with the matrix molecule. The peak intensity ratio is roughly proportional to the Hammett σ+. Among 4-substituted biphenyls, both bromo and chloro substituents afforded abnormally high peak intensity ratios. The effects of the substituents in these compounds are discussed semi-quantitatively in terms of the Hammett correlation and the hard and soft acids and bases principle. The mechanism of ion formation in FAB and chemical ionization (CI) ion sources appeared to be different because some of the compounds studied showed an intense [M]+. peak with a relatively weak [MH]+ peak in FAB spectra but exhibited a strong [MH]+ peak in ordinary CI spectra.  相似文献

Electron impact mass spectra were measured for five isomers of pyridinobenzanthrones and three isomers of benzobenzanthrones. The fragmentation pattern and intensity of M2+, [M – H]+, [M – CO]i+, [M – CO – H(or 2H)]i+ and [M – CO – HCN]i+ (i = 1, 2) ions indicated remarkable differences and very interesting features according to the isomers with or without nitrogen and condensation positions of a pyridino or benzo ring to the benzanthrone skeleton. Further, the competition of decompositions through [M – H]+, [M – CO] or [M – HCN] ions was confirmed by the observation of metastable ions and the appearance energies of fragment ions. Interesting observations from these results were expulsion of an H atom in close proximity to the area around an O?C group, a weak bonding interaction between sp2 C? H and an O?C group, inducing specific hydrogen rearrangement, and characteristic charge localization on heteroatoms.  相似文献

The characteristics of the in-beam electron impact mass spectra of six isomers of undecanol as well as several 1-alkanols have been examined. In addition to the characteristic ions observed in the conventional electron impact spectra, the [2M+1]+, [2M+1-H2O]+, [2M+1-2H2O]+, [2M-R or R′]+, [2M-H2O? R or R′]+, [2M? 2H2O? R or R′]+ and [M+1? H2O]+ peaks are common in the in-beam electron impact mass spectra of the undecanol isomers of structure RCH(OH)R′. Deuterium labelling experiments have shown that the extra proton in the protonated dimer ions, [2M+1]+, originates from the hydroxy group. The processes which produce the important peaks in the high m/e regions are discussed.  相似文献

The electron impact mass spectra of the new synthesized dioximes of o-diacyl benzenes (2) are reported. In addition to the molecular ion, characteristic peaks appear at values corresponding to the [M ? OH] +, [M ? NOH]+ and [M ? NHOH]+ ions. The mass spectra of a series of β-ketosilanes, p-Y? C6H4Me2SiCH2C(O)Me and their isomeric silyl enol ethers, p-Y? C6H4Me2SiOC(CH3)?CH2, where Y = H, Me, MeO, Cl, F and CF3, have been recorded. The fragmentation patterns for the β-ketosilanes are very similar to those of their silyl enol ether counterparts. The seven major primary fragment ions are [M? Me·]+, [M? C6H4Y·]+, [M? Me2SiO]+˙, [M? C3H4]+˙, [M? HC?CCF3]+˙, [Me2SiOH]+˙ and [C3H6O]+˙ Apparently, upon electron bombardment the β-ketosilanes must undergo rearrangement to an ion structure very similar to that of the ionized silyl enol ethers followed by unimolecular ion decompositions. Substitutions on the benzene ring show a significant effect on the formation of the ions [M? Me2SiO]+˙ and [Me2SiOH]+˙, electron donating groups favoring the former and electron withdrawing groups favoring the latter. The mass spectral fragmentation pathways were identified by observing metastable peaks, metastable ion mass spectra and ion kinetic energy spectra.  相似文献
