I prove that there is no spooky action at a distance and nonlocal state-reduction during measurements on quantum entangled
systems. The prediction of quantum theory as well as experimental results are in conflict with the concept of nonlocal state-reduction,
as conclusively shown here under very general assumptions. This has far-reaching implications in the interpretation of quantum
mechanics in general, and demands a radical change in its present interpretation of measurements on entangled multiparticle
systems. Motivated by these results we re-examine Bell’s theorem for correlations of entangled systems and find that the correlation
function used by Bell fails to incorporate phase correlations at source. It is the use of such an unphysical correlation function,
and not failure of locality, that leads to the Bell’s inequalities. 相似文献

Quantum steering is an important quantum resource, which is intermediate between entanglement and Bell nonlocality. In this paper, we study steering witnesses for Gaussian states in continuous-variable systems. We give a definition of steering witnesses by covariance matrices of Gaussian states, and then obtain a steering criterion by steering witnesses to detect steerability of any -mode Gaussian states. In addition, the conditions for two steering witnesses to be comparable and the optimality of steering witnesses are also discussed. 相似文献

The Gell-Mann λ matrices for Lie algebra su(3) are the
natural basis for the Hilbert space of Hermitian operators acting
on the states of a three-level system(qutrit). So the
construction of EWs for two-qutrit states by using these matrices
may be an interesting problem. In this paper, several two-qutrit
EWs are constructed based on the Gell-Mann matrices by using the
linear programming (LP) method exactly or approximately. The
decomposability and non-decomposability of constructed EWs are
also discussed and it is shown that the λ-diagonal EWs
presented in this paper are all decomposable but by adding
λ-non-diagonal terms, one can obtain various

We propose a scheme for the implementation of nonlocal quantum swap operation on two spatially separated entangled pairs and we show that the operation can swap two qubits of these entangled pairs.We discuss the resources of the entangled qubits and classical communication bits required for the optimal implementation of the nonlocal quantum swap operation.We also put forward a scheme for probabilistic implementation of nonlocal swap operation via a nonmaximally entangled quantum channel.The probability of a successful nonlocal swap operation is obtained by introducing a collective unitary transformation. 相似文献

In this paper we investigate entanglement between the nuclear
spin and field mode in a GaAs semiconductor. The eigenfuctions of nuclear spin
in the quantized external field are obtained and thus the von Neumann
entropy is evaluated explicitly. It is shown that the von Neumann entropy
monotonously increases with the spin-field coupling constant but

One of the problems concerning entanglement witnesses (EWs) is the
construction of them by a given set of operators. Here several
multi-qubit EWs called stabilizer EWs are constructed by using the
stabilizer operators of some given multi-qubit states such as GHZ,
cluster and exceptional states. The general approach to manipulate
the multi-qubit stabilizer EWs by exact(approximate) linear
programming (LP) method is described and it is shown that the
Clifford group play a crucial role in finding the hyper-planes
encircling the feasible region. The optimality, decomposability and

In this study the intimate connection is established between the
Banach space wavelet reconstruction method on homogeneous spaces
with both singular and nonsingular vacuum vectors, and some of the

We study the degree to which quantum entanglement survives when a three-qubit entangled state iscopied by using local and non-local processes, respectively, and investigate iterating quantum copyingfor the three-qubitsystem. There may exist inter-three-qubit entanglement and inter-two-qubit entanglement for the three-qubit system.We show that both local and non-local copying processes degrade quantum entanglement in the three-particle systemdue to a residual correlation between the copied output and the copying machine. We also show that the inter-two-qubitentanglement is preserved better than the inter-three-qubit entanglement in the local cloning process. We find thatnon-local cloning is much more efficient than the local copying for broadcasting entanglement, and output state vianon-local cloning exhibits the fidelity better than local cloning. 相似文献

The important applications of quantum dot system are to implement logic operations and achieve universal quantum computing based on different quantum nonlocalities. Here, we characterize the quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) of quantum dot system suffering nonunital and unital channels. The results reveal that quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC can display the traits of dissipation, enhancement, and freezing. One can achieve the detections of quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system in different situations. Among these quantum nonlocalities, NAQC is the most fragile, and it is most easily influenced by different system parameters. Furthermore, considering quantum dot system coupling with amplitude damping channel and phase damping channel, these quantum nonlocalities degenerate with the enlargement of the channel parameters $t$ and $varGamma$. Remarkably, measurement reversal can effectively control and enhance quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and NAQC of quantum dot system suffering from decoherence, especially in the scenarios of the amplitude damping channel and strong operation strength. 相似文献

The phenomenon of superactivation of quantum steering, that is, the fact that by combining several copies of the unsteerable quantum state one can get a steerable quantum state, has recently attracted much attention. This property is currently only known for isotropic states, and whether there exists an example other than isotropic states is so far an open question. It is of great importance to learn the activation property of non‐isotropic states. In this paper, it is shown that the violation of the local uncertainty relations (LUR) steering inequality can be activated for two‐qubit X type entangled mixed states. Although the activation phenomenon proven in this paper cannot guarantee the superactivation of steering for two‐qubit X states, it does provide clues for this goal. In addition, previous results indicate that two copies are enough for the superactivation of steering, while the price to pay is a high local dimension, and it is unclear whether superactivation is possible with few copies in low‐dimensional systems such as two‐qubit systems. By providing examples of activation of LUR steering inequality with two copies in a two‐qubit system, the work may open a potential way to the solution of this question. 相似文献
