The mono- and dianions of CO2 (i.e., CO2 and CO22−) have been studied for decades as both fundamentally important oxycarbanions (anions containing only C and O atoms) and as critical species in CO2 reduction and fixation chemistry. However, CO2 anions are highly unstable and difficult to study. As such, examples of stable compounds containing these ions are extremely limited; the unadulterated alkali salts of CO2 (i.e., MCO2, M2CO2, M = alkali metal) decompose rapidly above 15 K, for example. Herein we report the chemical reduction of a cyclic (alkyl)(amino) carbene (CAAC) adduct of CO2 at room temperature by alkali metals, which results in the formation of CAAC-stabilized alkali CO2 and CO22− clusters. One-electron reduction of CAAC–CO2 adduct (1) with lithium, sodium or potassium metal yields stable monoanionic radicals [M(CAAC–CO2)]n (M = Li, Na, K, 2–4) analogous to the alkali CO2 radical, and two-electron alkali metal reduction affords dianionic clusters of the general formula [M2(CAAC–CO2)]n (5–8) with reduced CO2 units which are structurally analogous to the carbonite anion CO22−. It is notable that crystalline clusters of these alkali–CO2 salts may also be isolated via the “one-pot” reaction of free CO2 with free CAAC followed by the addition of alkali metals – a process which does not occur in the absence of carbene. Each of the products 2–8 was investigated using a combination of experimental and theoretical methods.

The direct chemical reduction of CAACCO2 adducts by alkali metals to yield multinuclear clusters is reported. The mono- and dianions of CO2 have been studied for decades and are fundamentally important oxycarbanions and critical species in CO2 fixation chemistry.  相似文献

Four procedures based on closed-vessel microwave-assisted wet digestion with different oxidative reagents, including HNO3 (P1), HNO3 + H2O2 (P2), aqua regia (P3) and Lefort aqua regia (P4), for preparation of calcium (Ca)-rich materials prior to determination of total concentrations of Al, Ca, Cd, Fe, Mg and P by inductively coupled optical emission spectrometry (ICP OES) were compared. It was found that digestion with Lefort aqua regia (P4) provided the best results for all examined elements, i.e., precision of 0.30–4.4%, trueness better than 2%, recoveries of added elements between 99.5–101.9%, and limits of detection within 0.08–1.8 ng g−1. Reliability of this procedure was verified by analysis of relevant certified reference materials (CRMs), i.e., Natural Moroccan Phosphate Rock—Phosphorite (BCR-O32). Additionally, selection of appropriate analytical lines for measurements of element concentrations, linear dynamic ranges of calibration curves and matrix effects on the analyte response were extensively investigated. Finally, the selected procedure was successfully applied for routine analysis of other Ca-rich materials, i.e., CRMs such as NIST 1400 (Bone Ash), CTA-AC-1 (Apatite Concentrate Kola Peninsula) and NCS DC70308 (Carbonate Rock), and six natural samples, such as a dolomite, a phosphate rock, an enriched superphosphate fertilizer, pork bones, pork bones after incineration, and after steam gasification.  相似文献

In hydrolysis and electro-oxidation of the borohydride anion BH4, key reactions in the field of energy, one critical short-living intermediate is BH3OH. When water was used as both solvent and reactant, only BH3OH is detected by 11B NMR. By moving away from such conditions and using DMF as solvent and water as reactant in excess, four 11B NMR quartets were observed. These signals were due to BH3-based intermediates as suggested by theoretical calculations; they were DMF·BH3, BH3OH, and B2H7 (i.e., [H3B−H−BH3] or [H4B−BH3]). Our results shed light on the importance of BH3 stemming from BH4 and on its capacity as Lewis acid to interact with Lewis bases such as DMF, OH, and BH4. These findings are important for a better understanding at the molecular level of hydrolysis of BH4 and production of impurities in boranes synthesis.  相似文献

Considering that practically all reactions that involve nucleotides also involve metal ions, it is evident that the coordination chemistry of nucleotides and their derivatives is an essential corner stone of biological inorganic chemistry. Nucleotides are either directly or indirectly involved in all processes occurring in Nature. It is therefore no surprise that the constituents of nucleotides have been chemically altered—that is, at the nucleobase residue, the sugar moiety, and also at the phosphate group, often with the aim of discovering medically useful compounds. Among such derivatives are acyclic nucleoside phosphonates (ANPs), where the sugar moiety has been replaced by an aliphatic chain (often also containing an ether oxygen atom) and the phosphate group has been replaced by a phosphonate carrying a carbon–phosphorus bond to make the compounds less hydrolysis-sensitive. Several of these ANPs show antiviral activity, and some of them are nowadays used as drugs. The antiviral activity results from the incorporation of the ANPs into the growing nucleic acid chain—i.e., polymerases accept the ANPs as substrates, leading to chain termination because of the missing 3′-hydroxyl group. We have tried in this review to describe the coordination chemistry (mainly) of the adenine nucleotides AMP and ATP and whenever possible to compare it with that of the dianion of 9-[2-(phosphonomethoxy)ethyl]adenine (PMEA2− = adenine(N9)-CH2-CH2-O-CH2-PO32) [or its diphosphate (PMEApp4−)] as a representative of the ANPs. Why is PMEApp4− a better substrate for polymerases than ATP4−? There are three reasons: (i) PMEA2− with its anti-like conformation (like AMP2−) fits well into the active site of the enzyme. (ii) The phosphonate group has an enhanced metal ion affinity because of its increased basicity. (iii) The ether oxygen forms a 5-membered chelate with the neighboring phosphonate and favors thus coordination at the Pα group. Research on ANPs containing a purine residue revealed that the kind and position of the substituent at C2 or C6 has a significant influence on the biological activity. For example, the shift of the (C6)NH2 group in PMEA to the C2 position leads to 9-[2-(phosphonomethoxy)ethyl]-2-aminopurine (PME2AP), an isomer with only a moderate antiviral activity. Removal of (C6)NH2 favors N7 coordination, e.g., of Cu2+, whereas the ether O atom binding of Cu2+ in PMEA facilitates N3 coordination via adjacent 5- and 7-membered chelates, giving rise to a Cu(PMEA)cl/O/N3 isomer. If the metal ions (M2+) are M(α,β)-M(γ)-coordinated at a triphosphate chain, transphosphorylation occurs (kinases, etc.), whereas metal ion binding in a M(α)-M(β,γ)-type fashion is relevant for polymerases. It may be noted that with diphosphorylated PMEA, (PMEApp4−), the M(α)-M(β,γ) binding is favored because of the formation of the 5-membered chelate involving the ether O atom (see above). The self-association tendency of purines leads to the formation of dimeric [M2(ATP)]2(OH) stacks, which occur in low concentration and where one half of the molecule undergoes the dephosphorylation reaction and the other half stabilizes the structure—i.e., acts as the “enzyme” by bridging the two ATPs. In accord herewith, one may enhance the reaction rate by adding AMP2− to the [Cu2(ATP)]2(OH) solution, as this leads to the formation of mixed stacked Cu3(ATP)(AMP)(OH) species, in which AMP2− takes over the structuring role, while the other “half” of the molecule undergoes dephosphorylation. It may be added that Cu3(ATP)(PMEA) or better Cu3(ATP)(PMEA)(OH) is even a more reactive species than Cu3(ATP)(AMP)(OH). – The matrix-assisted self-association and its significance for cell organelles with high ATP concentrations is summarized and discussed, as is, e.g., the effect of tryptophanate (Trp), which leads to the formation of intramolecular stacks in M(ATP)(Trp)3− complexes (formation degree about 75%). Furthermore, it is well-known that in the active-site cavities of enzymes the dielectric constant, compared with bulk water, is reduced; therefore, we have summarized and discussed the effect of a change in solvent polarity on the stability and structure of binary and ternary complexes: Opposite effects on charged O sites and neutral N sites are observed, and this leads to interesting insights.  相似文献

In this work, the effect of ion-selective membranes on the detailed carbon balance was systematically analyzed for high-rate CO2 reduction in GDE-type flow electrolyzers. By using different ion-selective membranes, we show nearly identical catalytic selectivity for CO2 reduction, which is primarily due to a similar local reaction environment created at the cathode/electrolyte interface via the introduction of a catholyte layer. In addition, based on a systematic exploration of gases released from electrolytes and the dynamic change of electrolyte speciation, we demonstrate the explicit discrepancy in carbon balance paths for the captured CO2 at the cathode/catholyte interface via reaction with OH when using different ion-selective membranes: (i) the captured CO2 could be transported through an anion exchange membrane in the form of CO32−, subsequently releasing CO2 along with O2 in the anolyte, and (ii) with a cation exchange membrane, the captured CO2 would be accumulated in the catholyte in the form of CO32−, while (iii) with the use of a bipolar membrane, the captured CO2 could be released at the catholyte/membrane interface in the form of gaseous CO2. The unique carbon balance path for each type of membrane is linked to ion species transported through the membranes.

The rapid growth of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere has attracted great attention due to the influence of the greenhouse effect. Aerogels’ application for capturing CO2 is quite promising owing to their numerous advantages, such as high porosity (~95%); these are predominantly mesoporous (20–50 nm) materials with very high surface area (>800 m2∙g−1). To increase the CO2 level of aerogels’ uptake capacity and selectivity, active materials have been investigated, such as potassium carbonate, K2CO3, amines, and ionic-liquid amino-acid moieties loaded onto the surface of aerogels. The flexibility of the composition and surface chemistry of aerogels can be modified intentionally—indeed, manipulated—for CO2 capture. Up to now, most research has focused mainly on the synthesis of amine-modified silica aerogels and the evaluation of their CO2-sorption properties. However, there is no comprehensive study focusing on the effect of different types of aerogels and modification groups on the adsorption of CO2. In this review, we present, in broad terms, the use of different precursors, as well as modification of synthesis parameters. The present review aims to consider which kind of precursors and modification groups can serve as potentially attractive molecular-design characteristics in promising materials for capturing CO2.  相似文献

Background: Metabolic and physicochemical evaluation is recommended to manage the condition of patients with nephrolithiasis. The estimation of the saturation state (β values) is often included in the diagnostic work-up, and it is preferably performed through calculations. The free concentrations of constituent ions are estimated by considering the main ionic soluble complexes. It is contended that this approach is liable to an overestimation of β values because some complexes may be overlooked. A recent report found that β values could be significantly lowered upon the addition of new and so far neglected complexes, [Ca(PO4)Cit]4− and [Ca2H2(PO4)2]. The aim of this work was to assess whether these complexes can be relevant to explaining the chemistry of urine. Methods: The Ca–phosphate–citrate aqueous system was investigated by potentiometric titrations. The stability constants of the parent binary complexes [Cacit] and [CaPO4], and the coordination tendency of PO43− toward [Ca(cit)] to form the ternary complex, were estimated. βCaOx and βCaHPO4 were then calculated on 5 natural urines by chemical models, including or not including the [CaPO4] and [Ca(PO4)cit]4− species. Results: Species distribution diagrams show that the [Ca(PO4)cit]4− species was only noticeable at pH > 8.5 and below 10% of the total calcium. β values estimated on natural urine were slightly lowered by the formation of [CaPO4] species, whereas [Ca(PO4)cit]4− results were irrelevant. Conclusions: While [CaPO4] species have an impact on saturation levels at higher pHs, the existence of ternary complex and of the dimer is rejected.  相似文献

Electrochemical reactors that electrolytically convert CO2 into higher-value chemicals and fuels often pass a concentrated hydroxide electrolyte across the cathode. This strongly alkaline medium converts the majority of CO2 into unreactive HCO3 and CO32− byproducts rather than into CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) products. The electrolysis of CO (instead of CO2) does not suffer from this undesirable reaction chemistry because CO does not react with OH. Moreover, CO can be more readily reduced into products containing two or more carbon atoms (i. e., C2+ products) compared to CO2. We demonstrate here that an electrocatalyst layer derived from copper phthalocyanine ( CuPc ) mediates this conversion effectively in a flow cell. This catalyst achieved a 25 % higher selectivity for acetate formation at 200 mA/cm2 than a known state-of-art oxide-derived Cu catalyst tested in the same flow cell. A gas diffusion electrode coated with CuPc electrolyzed CO into C2+ products at high rates of product formation (i. e., current densities ≥200 mA/cm2), and at high faradaic efficiencies for C2+ production (FEC2+; >70 % at 200 mA/cm2). While operando Raman spectroscopy did not reveal evidence of structural changes to the copper molecular complex, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy suggests that the catalyst undergoes conversion to a metallic copper species during catalysis. Notwithstanding, the ligand environment about the metal still impacts catalysis, which we demonstrated through the study of a homologous CuPc bearing ethoxy substituents. These findings reveal new strategies for using metal complexes for the formation of carbon-neutral chemicals and fuels at industrially relevant conditions.  相似文献

In order to efficiently remove phosphorus, thermodynamic equilibrium diagrams of the P-H2O system and P-M-H2O system (M stands for Fe, Al, Ca, Mg) were analyzed by software from Visual MINTEQ to identify the existence of phosphorus ions and metal ions as pH ranged from 1 to 14. The results showed that the phosphorus ions existed in the form of H3PO4, H2PO4, HPO42−, and PO43−. Among them, H2PO4 and HPO42− were the main species in the acidic medium (99% at pH = 5) and alkaline medium (97.9% at pH = 10). In the P-Fe-H2O system ((P) = 0.01 mol/L, (Fe3+) = 0.01 mol/L), H2PO4 was transformed to FeHPO4+ at pH = 0–7 due to the existence of Fe3+ and then transformed to HPO42− at pH > 6 as the Fe3+ was mostly precipitated. In the P-Ca-H2O system ((P) = 0.01 mol/L, (Ca2+) = 0.015 mol/L), the main species in the acidic medium was CaH2PO4+ and HPO42−, and then transformed to CaPO4 at pH > 7. In the P-Mg-H2O system ((P) = 0.01 mol/L, (Mg2+) = 0.015 mol/L), the main species in the acidic medium was H2PO4 and then transformed to MgHPO4 at pH = 5–10, and finally transformed to MgPO4 as pH increased. The verification experiments (precipitation experiments) with single metal ions confirmed that the theoretical analysis could be used to guide the actual experiments.  相似文献

The self-assembly of 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol (DFMP) and 1-amino-2-propanol (AP)/2-amino-1,3-propanediol (APD) in the presence of copper(II) ions results in the formation of six new supramolecular architectures containing two versatile double Schiff base ligands (H3L and H5L1) with one-, two-, or three-dimensional structures involving diverse nuclearities: tetranuclear [Cu4(HL2−)2(N3)4]·4CH3OH·56H2O (1) and [Cu4(L3−)2(OH)2(H2O)2] (2), dinuclear [Cu2(H3L12−)(N3)(H2O)(NO3)] (3), polynuclear {[Cu2(H3L12−)(H2O)(BF4)(N3)]·H2O}n (4), heptanuclear [Cu7(H3L12−)2(O)2(C6H5CO2)6]·6CH3OH·44H2O (5), and decanuclear [Cu10(H3L12−)4(O)2(OH)2(C6H5CO2)4] (C6H5CO2)2·20H2O (6). X-ray studies have revealed that the basic building block in 1, 3, and 4 is comprised of two copper centers bridged through one μ-phenolate oxygen atom from HL2− or H3L12−, and one μ-1,1-azido (N3) ion and in 2, 5, and 6 by μ-phenoxide oxygen of L3− or H3L12− and μ-O2− or μ3-O2− ions. H-bonding involving coordinated/uncoordinated hydroxy groups of the ligands generates fascinating supramolecular architectures with 1D-single chains (1 and 6), 2D-sheets (3), and 3D-structures (4). In 5, benzoate ions display four different coordination modes, which, in our opinion, is unprecedented and constitutes a new discovery. In 1, 3, and 5, Cu(II) ions in [Cu2] units are antiferromagnetically coupled, with J ranging from −177 to −278 cm−1.  相似文献

Supramolecular photocatalysts comprising [Ru(diimine)3]2+ photosensitiser and fac-[Re(diimine)(CO)3{OC(O)OC2H4NR2}] catalyst units can be used to reduce CO2 to CO with high selectivity, durability and efficiency. In the presence of triethanolamine, the Re catalyst unit efficiently takes up CO2 to form a carbonate ester complex, and then direct photocatalytic reduction of a low concentration of CO2, e.g., 10% CO2, can be achieved using this type of supramolecular photocatalyst. In this work, the mechanism of the photocatalytic reduction of CO2 was investigated applying such a supramolecular photocatalyst, RuC2Re with a carbonate ester ligand, using time-resolved visible and infrared spectroscopies and electrochemical methods. Using time-resolved spectroscopic measurements, the kinetics of the photochemical formation processes of the one-electron-reduced species RuC2(Re)−, which is an essential intermediate in the photocatalytic reaction, were clarified in detail and its electronic structure was elucidated. These studies also showed that RuC2(Re)− is stable for 10 ms in the reaction solution. Cyclic voltammograms measured at various scan rates besides temperature and kinetic analyses of RuC2(Re)− produced by steady-state irradiation indicated that the subsequent reaction of RuC2(Re)− proceeds with an observed first-order rate constant of approximately 1.8 s−1 at 298 K and is a unimolecular reaction, independent of the concentrations of both CO2 and RuC2(Re)−.

Formation processes and reactivity of an important intermediate of photocatalytic CO2 reduction, one-electron reduced species of a Ru(ii)–Re(i) supramolecular photocatalyst with a carbonate ester ligand, were investigated in detail.  相似文献

Among the advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), the Fenton reaction has attracted much attention in recent years for the treatment of water and wastewater. This review provides insight into a particular variant of the process, where soluble Fe(II) salts are replaced by zero-valent iron (ZVI), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is replaced by persulfate (S2O82−). Heterogeneous Fenton with ZVI has the advantage of minimizing a major problem found with homogeneous Fenton. Indeed, the precipitation of Fe(III) at pH > 4 interferes with the recycling of Fe species and inhibits oxidation in homogeneous Fenton; in contrast, suspended ZVI as iron source is less sensitive to the increase of pH. Moreover, persulfate favors the production of sulfate radicals (SO4•−) that are more selective towards pollutant degradation, compared to the hydroxyl radicals (OH) produced in classic, H2O2-based Fenton. Higher selectivity means that degradation of SO4•−-reactive contaminants is less affected by interfering agents typically found in wastewater; however, the ability of SO4 to oxidize H2O/OH to OH makes it difficult to obtain conditions where SO4•− is the only reactive species. Research results have shown that ZVI-Fenton with persulfate works best at acidic pH, but it is often possible to get reasonable degradation at pH values that are not too far from neutrality. Moreover, inorganic ions that are very common in water and wastewater (Cl, HCO3, CO32−, NO3, NO2) can sometimes inhibit degradation by scavenging SO4•− and/or OH, but in other cases they even enhance the process. Therefore, ZVI-Fenton with persulfate might perform unexpectedly well in some saline waters, although the possible formation of harmful by-products upon oxidation of the anions cannot be ruled out.  相似文献

Laboratory measurements of gas-phase ion-molecule reactions of several negative ion species with formic and acetic acid have been carried out. A flow reactor operating at a temperature of 293 ± 3 K and total gas pressures of either 3 or 9 hPa was used. The negative reagent ion species investigated included OH, O2, O3, CO4, CO3, CO3H2O, HCO3H2O, NO3, NO3H2O, NO2, and NO2H2O. The reactions were found to proceed either via proton transfer or clustering. Our measurements of ion-molecule reactions of negative ions with gaseous formic and acetic acids provide a firm base for quantitative detection of these acidic trace gases in the atmosphere by negative ion ion-molecule reaction mass spectrometry.  相似文献

Highly porous activated carbons were synthesized via the mechanochemical salt-templating method using both sustainable precursors and sustainable chemical activators. Tannic acid is a polyphenolic compound derived from biomass, which, together with urea, can serve as a low-cost, environmentally friendly precursor for the preparation of efficient N-doped carbons. The use of various organic and inorganic salts as activating agents afforded carbons with diverse structural and physicochemical characteristics, e.g., their specific surface areas ranged from 1190 m2·g−1 to 3060 m2·g−1. Coupling the salt-templating method and chemical activation with potassium oxalate appeared to be an efficient strategy for the synthesis of a highly porous carbon with a specific surface area of 3060 m2·g−1, a large total pore volume of 3.07 cm3·g−1 and high H2 and CO2 adsorption capacities of 13.2 mmol·g−1 at −196 °C and 4.7 mmol·g−1 at 0 °C, respectively. The most microporous carbon from the series exhibited a CO2 uptake capacity as high as 6.4 mmol·g−1 at 1 bar and 0 °C. Moreover, these samples showed exceptionally high thermal stability. Such activated carbons obtained from readily available sustainable precursors and activators are attractive for several applications in adsorption and catalysis.  相似文献

CO2 adsorption in porous carbon materials has attracted great interests for alleviating emission of post-combustion CO2. In this work, a novel nitrogen-doped porous carbon material was fabricated by carbonizing the precursor of melamine-resorcinol-formaldehyde resin/graphene oxide (MR/GO) composites with KOH as the activation agent. Detailed characterization results revealed that the fabricated MR(0.25)/GO-500 porous carbon (0.25 represented the amount of GO added in wt.% and 500 denoted activation temperature in °C) had well-defined pore size distribution, high specific surface area (1264 m2·g−1) and high nitrogen content (6.92 wt.%), which was mainly composed of the pyridinic-N and pyrrolic-N species. Batch adsorption experiments demonstrated that the fabricated MR(0.25)/GO-500 porous carbon delivered excellent CO2 adsorption ability of 5.21 mmol·g−1 at 298.15 K and 500 kPa, and such porous carbon also exhibited fast adsorption kinetics, high selectivity of CO2/N2 and good recyclability. With the inherent microstructure features of high surface area and abundant N adsorption sites species, the MR/GO-derived porous carbon materials offer a potentially promising adsorbent for practical CO2 capture.  相似文献

Sorption and dilation properties of polymer-gas systems involving poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) and N2, CH4, or CO2, have been investigated at pressures up to 50 atm at temperatures of 10–40°C. Sorption isotherms for low-solubility gases (i.e., CH4 and N2) can be described by Henry's law, and those for high-solubility gas (i.e., CO2) by Flory-Huggins dissolution equation. Dilation isotherms are similar in contour to the corresponding sorption isotherms. From the obtained sorption and dilation data, partial molar volumes of the gases in the polymer were determined as a function of temperature. Thermal expansivity of dissolved CO2 molecules was estimated at ca. 2.4 × 10?3°C?1 from the temperature dependence of partial molar volume. The expansivity is smaller than that of liquid CO2 and larger than those of the polymer and organic liquids. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Complex hydrides, such as LiBH4, are a promising class of ion conductors for all-solid-state batteries, but their application is constrained by low ion mobility at room temperature. Mixing with halides or complex hydride anions, i.e., other complex hydrides, is an effective approach to improving the ionic conductivity. In the present study, we report on the reaction of LiBH4 with LiBF4, resulting in the formation of conductive composites consisting of LiBH4, LiF and lithium closo-borates. It is believed that the in-situ formation of closo-borate related species gives rise to highly conductive interfaces in the decomposed LiBH4 matrix. As a result, the ionic conductivity is improved by orders of magnitude with respect to the Li-ion conductivity of the LiBH4, up to 0.9 × 10−5 S cm−1 at 30 °C. The insights gained in this work show that the incorporation of a second compound is a versatile method to improve the ionic conductivity of complex metal hydrides, opening novel synthesis pathways not limited to conventional substituents.  相似文献

In this work, the gas-sensing functionality of porous ceramic bodies formed by the slip casting technique was studied using perovskite nanoparticles of an MSnO3 system (M = Ba, Ca, Zn) synthesized by a chemical route. The performance and reliability of the sensitive materials in the presence of different volatile organic compounds (acetone, ethanol, and toluene), and other gases (CO, H2 and NO2) were analysed. The ZnSnO3, BaSnO3, and CaSnO3 sensors showed sensitivities of 40, 16, and 8% ppm−1 towards acetone, ethanol, and toluene vapours, respectively. Good repeatability and selectivity were also observed for these gaseous analytes, as well as excellent stability for a period of 120 days. The shortest response times were recorded for the ZnSnO3 sensors (e.g., 4 s for 80 ppm acetone) with marked responses to low concentrations of acetone (1000 ppb). These results are attributed to the porosity of the sensitive materials, which favours the diffusion of gases, induces surface defects, and provides greater surface area and good sensitivity to acetone, as is seen in the case of ZnSnO3.  相似文献

Three new 3D metal-organic porous frameworks based on Co(II) and 2,2′-bithiophen-5,5′-dicarboxylate (btdc2−) [Co3(btdc)3(bpy)2]·4DMF, 1; [Co3(btdc)3(pz)(dmf)2]·4DMF·1.5H2O, 2; [Co3(btdc)3(dmf)4]∙2DMF∙2H2O, 3 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridyl, pz = pyrazine, dmf = N,N-dimethylformamide) were synthesized and structurally characterized. All compounds share the same trinuclear carboxylate building units {Co3(RCOO)6}, connected either by btdc2– ligands (1, 3) or by both btdc2– and pz bridging ligands (2). The permanent porosity of 1 was confirmed by N2, O2, CO, CO2, CH4 adsorption measurements at various temperatures (77 K, 273 K, 298 K), resulted in BET surface area 667 m2⋅g−1 and promising gas separation performance with selectivity factors up to 35.7 for CO2/N2, 45.4 for CO2/O2, 20.8 for CO2/CO, and 4.8 for CO2/CH4. The molar magnetic susceptibilities χp(T) were measured for 1 and 2 in the temperature range 1.77–330 K at magnetic fields up to 10 kOe. The room-temperature values of the effective magnetic moments for compounds 1 and 2 are μeff (300 K) ≈ 4.93 μB. The obtained results confirm the mainly paramagnetic nature of both compounds with some antiferromagnetic interactions at low-temperatures T < 20 K in 2 between the Co(II) cations separated by short pz linkers. Similar conclusions were also derived from the field-depending magnetization data of 1 and 2.  相似文献
