This article presents the implementation of the constitutive model of Wheeler (Geotechnique 53(1):41–54, 2003) for coupling of hydraulic hysteresis and mechanical behavior of unsaturated soils in a fully coupled transient hydro-mechanical finite element (FE) model (computer code UNSATEX) developed by the authors. The constitutive model considers the effects of irreversible changes of degree of saturation on stress–strain behavior and the influence of plastic volumetric strains on the water retention behavior. The mathematical framework and the numerical implementation of the constitutive model are presented and discussed. The FE model is verified and validated against analytical predictions [obtained using the model of Wheeler (Geotechnique 53(1):41–54, 2003] as well as experimental results from the literature involving unsaturated soils undergoing various combinations of drying, wetting, loading, unloading, and reloading paths. Comparison of the results shows that the developed FE model can be used to predict various aspects of the behavior of unsaturated soils under drying and wetting as well as loading and unloading paths. The merits and limitations of the FE model are highlighted.  相似文献

In recent years, the effective stress approach has received much attention in the constitutive modeling of unsaturated soils. In this approach, the effective stress parameter is very important. This parameter needs a correct definition and has to be determined properly. In this paper, a thermodynamic approach is used to develop a physically-based formula for the effective stress tensor in unsaturated soils. This approach accounts for the hydro-mechanical coupling, which is quite important when dealing with hydraulic hysteresis in unsaturated soils. The resulting formula takes into account the role of interfacial energy and the contribution of air?Cwater specific interfacial area to the effective stress tensor. Moreover, a bi-quadratic surface is proposed to represent the contribution of the so-called suction stress in the effective stress tensor. It is shown that the proposed relationship for suction stress is in agreement with available experimental data in the full hydraulic cycle (drying, scanning, and wetting).  相似文献

回顾了非饱和土有效应力的发展,目前普遍认同采用两个应力变量来建立本构模型,且对基质吸力中毛细和粘吸两部分作用进行了阐述。分析了非饱和土强度问题,包括抗剪强度和抗拉强度。讨论了非饱和土的本构模型问题,包括基于净应力和基质吸力的弹塑性模型,基于Bishop有效应力和基质吸力的水力力学耦合弹塑性模型,以及双孔隙结构的模型。最后探讨了热力学方法和多孔介质理论在非饱和土中的应用,基于多孔介质理论在多场耦合条件下土体复杂的行为是当前值得研究的问题。  相似文献

Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) coupling pro- cesses in unsaturated soils are very important in both theoretical researches and engineering applications. A coupled formulation based on hybrid mixture theory is derived to model the THM coupling behavior of unsaturated soils. The free-energy and dissipative functions for different phases are derived from Taylor's series expansions. Constitutive relations for THM coupled behaviors of unsaturated soils, which include deformation, entropy change, fluid flow, heat conduction, and dynamic compatibility conditions on the interfaces, are then established. The number of field equations is shown to be equal to the number of unknown variables; thus, a closure of this coupling problem is established. In addition to modifications of the physical conservation equations with coupling effect terms, the constitutive equations, which consider the coupling between elastoplastic deformation of the soil skeleton, fluid flow, and heat transfer, are also derived.  相似文献

Two stress fields, combination of total stresses, liquid pressure and gas pressure have to be considered to explain the deformational behaviour of unsaturated media. Elastoplastic models developed for these materials consider generally two yield surfaces, each one associated to a stress field, and whose intersection produces a corner in the space of generalised stress components. In this paper, a stress point algorithm is proposed to cope with the integration of such constitutive laws, which can be seen as non smooth multisurface plastic models in the space of the two stress fields. The basic model developed by Alonso et al. (Alonso, E.E., Gens, A., 1990. A constitutive model for partially saturated soils. Géotechnique 40 (3), 405–430), which will be used to test the algorithm, is first described. Generalised stress and strain variables are then defined. Implementation of the return mapping algorithm, based on an implicit integration scheme, is presented with special attention devoted to the problem of mixed control imposed by the F.E. formulation generally used to analyse the hydromechanical behaviour of unsaturated media. Validation results on distinct generalised stress paths are given at the end.  相似文献

The natural clayey soils are usually structural and unsaturated,which makes their mechanical properties quite different from the remolded saturated soils.A structural constitutive model is proposed to simulate the bonding-breakage micro-mechanism.In this model,the unsaturated soil element is divided into a cementation element and a friction element according to the binary medium theory,and the stress-strain coordination for these two elements is obtained. The cementation element is regarded as elastic,whereas the friction element is regarded as elastoplastic which can be described with the Gallipoli's model.The theoretical formulation is verified with the comparative experiments of isotropic compressions on the saturated and unsaturated structural soils.Parametric analyses of the effects of damage variables on the model predictions are further carried out,which show that breakage deformation of natural clayey soils increases with the rising amount of initial defects.  相似文献

本文在饱和土扰动概念基础上,提出了可以考虑外力和增湿两个扰动因素对非饱和土结构性影响的耦合扰动变量。根据复合材料均匀化理论的思想建立了适用于非饱和结构性黄土的本构模型,并给出了耦合扰动变量的演化方程。通过将BBM模型和本文模型的计算结果分别与已有的实验结果进行对比说明,本文模型能够更好地反映非饱和原状黄土的力学特性。通过对结构性参数β、α进行分析说明,所给出的耦合扰动变量的演化方程能够较好地描述土结构性随变形劣化的规律。  相似文献

首先,采用位移收敛判据对非连续变形的岩石断裂分析进行改进并程序实现. 其次,将非连续变形分析方法和裂隙网络渗流模型结合起来,建立了渗流应力耦合分析模型,研究了裂隙岩体变形对渗流的影响以及渗流与应力耦合作用下裂隙岩体的变形破坏特征. 研究发现,主干裂隙控制着渗流场分布,考虑耦合作用时的水头值比不考虑耦合作用时大,说明考虑耦合后坡体更容易变形失稳. 改进前后裂纹扩展形态基本不变,表明程序计算的收敛判据是有效的.  相似文献

As a typical multiphase fluid flow process, drainage in porous media is of fundamental interest both in nature and in industrial applications. During drainage processes in unsaturated soils and porous media in general, saturated regions, or clusters, in which a liquid phase fully occupies the pore space between solid grains, affect the relative permeability and effective stress of the system. Here, we experimentally study drainage processes in unsaturated granular media as a model porous system. The distribution of saturated clusters is analysed by optical imaging under different drainage conditions, with pore-scale information from Voronoi and Delaunay tessellation used to characterise the topology of saturated cluster distributions. By employing statistical analyses, we describe the observed spatial and temporal evolution of multiphase flow and fluid entrapment in granular media. Results indicate that the distributions of both the crystallised cell size and pore size are positively correlated to the spatial and temporal distribution of saturated cluster sizes. The saturated cluster size is found to follow a lognormal distribution, in which the generalised Bond number (\( Bo^{*} \)) correlates negatively to the scale parameter (μ) and positively to the shape parameter (σ). With further consideration of the total surface energy obtained based on liquid–air interfaces, we were able to include additional grain-scale information in the constitutive modelling of unsaturated soils using both the degree of saturation and generalised Bond number. These findings can be used to connect pore-scale behaviour with overall hydro-mechanical characteristics in granular systems.  相似文献

数值模拟和物理模拟是分析土体沉降和稳定性的主要手段. 本构模型作为描述土体应力应变关系的数学表达式, 是数值模拟的基础. 土体具有碎散性, 这一基本物理特性导致了其具有压硬性、摩擦性和剪胀性, 这是土的力学特性区别于金属的主要特征, 在土体的本构模型中必须反映这3个基本特性. 传统土力学将土体的变形和强度分离考虑, 分别采用弹性理论和基于刚塑性模型的极限平衡理论分析, 虽然应用广泛, 但由于不能全面地反映土的基本力学特性, 计算结果的精度常常难以满足定量分析的需要. 剑桥模型作为第一个全面反映压硬性、摩擦性和剪胀性的弹塑性本构模型, 实现了变形和强度的统一, 能较好地描述饱和正常固结黏土的应力应变关系, 被视为是现代土力学的开端; 统一硬化模型通过引入一个独特的硬化参数进一步发展了剑桥模型, 将适用范围扩大到超固结黏土. 作者认为, 未来岩土体本构模型研究的挑战是: 如何考虑岩土体在受力过程中土骨架相变与多场耦合, 以解决目前本构模型尚无法定量分析的能源、交通、环境和水利相关的重大岩土工程问题. 超重力物理模拟具有缩尺效应和缩时效应, 克服了常重力物理模拟中模型的应力水平低于原型的缺点, 特别适用于大尺度、长历时问题的模拟. 相较数值模拟, 超重力物理模拟的优势在于能够检验本构模型的合理性, 揭示本构模型无法描述的未知特性. 最后, 介绍了采用数值模拟和物理模拟联合分析大直径钢管桩水平受荷特性的工程案例.  相似文献

Stress finite-element models with an independent expansion for strain are developed. By adding the constitutive law, which is satisfied on the average only, as a condition of constraint to the functional, the variational principle on which they are based is derived. A model which is stiffer can thus be constructed. As the equilibrium models lead to results which are too flexible, an independent assumption for strain should in many cases improve the accuracy. The strains can easily be eliminated on an element basis. A quadrilateral hybrid stress model with an independent assumption of strain is developed and tested on the level of an element and of the structural system.  相似文献

In this work, we develop an isotropic-plasticity-based constitutive model for initially martensitic shape-memory alloys (SMA) which exhibit martensitic reorientation and the shape-memory effect. The constitutive model is then implemented in the [Abaqus reference manuals. 2006. Providence, R.I.] finite-element program by writing a user-material subroutine. The results from the constitutive model and numerical procedure are then compared to representative physical experiments conducted on polycrystalline rod and sheet Ti–Ni. The constitutive model and the numerical simulations are able to reproduce the stress–strain responses from these physical experiments to good accuracy. Finally, two different boundary value problems utilizing the one-way shape-memory effect are studied: (a) the deformation of an arterial stent, and (b) a micro-clamper. We show that our constitutive model can be used to model the response of the aforementioned boundary value examples.  相似文献

在``饱和正冻土的理论构架'的基础上,假定了冻土体内的空气的流动是一 种Darcy流,进一步考虑了非饱和土中气相的影响,提议了一种综合考虑两种极端 情况:(1) 气体与外界完全相通. (2) 气体与外界完全不相通的相关水、热、力相 耦合的多孔多相介质理论构架------半连通、半封闭非饱和正冻土理论构架. 重点讨论了较简单的气体半连通半封闭的非饱和孔隙冻土体的三场耦合模型. 为 检验三场耦合分析模型及所开发的针对冻土工程三场耦合模型的软件系统3G2001 的合理性与正确性, 与214国道花石峡 试验路基实测的地温变化和路基路面变形 进行了对比验证, 对比结果显示: 路基中分析所得的温度场与实测值变化规律一 致, 量化相差大都在10\%$\sim$20\%以内; 分析所得耦合变形随时间的变化也与 实测值完全一致, 路中的分析变形与实测相差也在10%-20%以内  相似文献

The nonlinear constitutive equations and field equations of unsaturated soils were constructed on the basis of mixture theory. The soils were treated as the mixture composed of three constituents. First, from the researches of soil mechanics, some basic assumptions about the unsaturated soil mixture were made, and the entropy inequality of unsaturated soil mixture was derived. Then, with the common method usually used to deal with the constitutive problems in mixture theory, the nonlinear constitutive equations were obtained. Finally, putting the constitutive equations of constituents into the balance equations of momentum, the nonlinear field equations of constituents were set up. The balance equation of energy of unsaturated soil was also given, and thus the complete equations for solving the thermodynamic process of unsaturated soil was formed. 多孔连续体理论框架下的非饱和多孔介质广义有效压力定义和Bishop参数的定量表达式长期以来存在争议,这也影响了对与其直接相关联的非饱和多孔介质广义Biot有效应力的正确预测.基于随时间演变的离散固体颗粒-双联液桥-液膜体系描述的Voronoi胞元模型,利用由模型获得的非饱和颗粒材料表征元中水力-力学介观结构和响应信息,文章定义了低饱和度多孔介质局部材料点的有效内状态变量:非饱和多孔连续体的广义Biot有效应力和有效压力,导出了其表达式.所导出的有效压力公式表明,非饱和多孔连续体的有效压力张量为各向异性,它不仅对非饱和多孔连续体广义Biot有效应力张量的静水应力分量的影响呈各向异性,同时也对其剪切应力分量有影响.文章表明,非饱和多孔连续体中提出的广义Biot理论和双变量理论的基本缺陷在于它们均假定反映非混和两相孔隙流体对固相骨架水力-力学效应的有效压力张量为各向同性.此外,为定义各向同性有效压力张量和作为加权系数而引入的Bishop参数并不包含对非饱和多孔连续体中局部材料点水力-力学响应具有十分重要效应的基质吸力.所导出的非饱和多孔介质广义Biot有效应力和有效压力公式(包括反映有效压力...  相似文献

为了模拟非饱和土的水力、力学特性在多次降雨、蒸发过程中的变化特性,本文以传统域模型的基本原理为基础,推到得到了一个能够模拟SWCC滞后性的计算模型,该模型计算方法简单,易于通过程序实现,且通过与试验数据和其他模型的计算结果对比,验证了该模型的合理性,同时,这个模型可为研究在复杂吸力变化状态下非饱和土的渗流特性、强度特性以及本构模型的研究打下一定的基础。  相似文献
