One proves theorems on the estimates of the solutions of the systems of first-order integrodifferential equations with the boundary conditions On the basis of these theorems, one suggests a method for estimating the norms of integrodifferential equations by the method of the lines for the solutions of the periodic boundary-value problems for second-order integrodifferential equations of parabolic type. On the basis of the established theorem, on the solvability and on the estimate of the solution of the nonlinear equation $$Tx + F\left( x \right) = 0$$ in a Banach space X, where T is a linear unbounded operator, one investigates the convergence of the method of lines for solving the periodic boundary-value problem for a second-order nonlinear integrodifferential equation of parabolic type.  相似文献

In this paper we generalize a partial integrodifferential equation satisfied by the finite time ruin probability in the classical Poisson risk model. The generalization also includes the bivariate distribution function of the time of and the deficit at ruin. We solve the partial integrodifferential equation by Laplace transforms with the help of Lagrange’s implicit function theorem. The assumption of mixed Erlang claim sizes is then shown to result in tractable computational formulas for the finite time ruin probability as well as the bivariate distribution function of the time of and the deficit at ruin. A more general partial integrodifferential equation is then briefly considered.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a nonlinear integrodifferential equation (the delay logistic equation) governing the growth dynamics of a single species N(t) for time t > 0. This equation contains a positive parameter λ. Suppose that there exists a positive equilibrium solution N = c which is stable for all small values of λ. Assume also that this solution loses stability as λ is increased past a critical value λ*. This will correspond to a simple pure imaginary conjugate pair of roots of a characteristic equation associated with the linearized stability of N = c at λ = λ*. Then we will construct a unique bifurcating time periodic solution of the equation as a Taylor series in a parameter ε. Furthermore this solution exists either for supercritical values of the parameter (λ > λ*) or for subcritical values (λ < λ*). The stability behavior of this small periodic solution can be characterized according to whether the bifurcation is supercritical or subcritical-supercritical solutions are stable, but subcritical solutions are unstable. Therefore these results are analogous to Hoprs bifurcation theorem for autonomous systems of differential equations.  相似文献

The authors study an inverse problem for a fractional integrodifferential equation, which aims to determine simultaneously two time varying coefficients, a kernel function and a source function, from the additional integral overdetermination condition. We consider the asymptotic behavior of the bounded solutions of a nonlinear Volterra integrodifferential equation with a positive definite convolution kernel. Our main result states that (under appropriate assumptions) the asymptotic spectra of the solutions are contained in the set where the real part of the Fourier transform of the kernel vanishes. We also give a new asymptotic stability theorem, and present a new proof of a known result on the asymptotic behavior of the bounded solutions of a nonlinear, nondifferentiated Volterra equation.  相似文献
