We emphasise the EMC spin effect as a problem of symmetry and discuss the renormalisation of theC=+1 axial tensor operators. This involves the generalisation of the Adler-Bell-Jackiw anomaly to each of these operators. We find that the contribution of the axial anomaly to the spin dependent structure functiong 1(x, Q 2) scales at O(αs). This means that the anomaly can be a largex effect ing 1. Finally we discuss the jet signature of the anomaly.  相似文献

We calculate the production cross section of Higgs-boson pairs ine + e ? annihilation. In this reaction the lowest order contribution comes from one loop graphs. We study the behaviour of the cross section as a function of the energy, the Higgs-boson mass and the scattering angle.  相似文献

The various contributions to the deep Compton effect are discussed and a strategy is displayed in order to separate them. In particular, we show that selecting 3-jet events and measuring differences of double inclusive cross-sections is a way of extracting the box-diagram γg→γg contribution.  相似文献

A study is made of the effect of the quantization of the electron energy levels in a strong magnetic field on the ‘electron-diffusion’ contribution, Se, of the transverse thermoelectric power of a high-purity isotropic semiconductor (n-type gallium arsenide GaAs) in the extreme quantum limit, when all the carriers in the conduction band are in the lowest Landau level. A theoretical expression for Se is derived, taking into account of spin splitting. The sign of Se is either positive or negative, depending on the sign of the conducting carriers. The transition to nondegeneracy, which takes place when the lowest Landau level is driven through the Fermi level, has a large effect on the variation of Se with magnetic field. This effect is characterized by a large and rapid increase in |Se|. Spin splitting effects, even with a small effective mass (m1 = 0·07 m0, where m0 is the free-electron mass) and a very small g-factor (g ≈ 0·32), greatly modify and reduce |Se| a a function of field. For large fields, |Se| increases monotonically with H. Calculations are carried out for n-type GaAs at T = 0·5°K with N = 1·2 × 1016cm?3 carriers.  相似文献

Soybean lipoxygenase-1 high frequency (≥70 GHz) EPR spectra at low magnetic field strengths (<2 Tesla) are predicted to have interdoublet transitions. Analysis of these transitions, if they are observed, will accurately measure all the zero field splitting (ZFS) terms for the second order spin Hamiltonian. The combination of interdoublet transitions with Kramers doublet transitions can be used as a sensitive,direct, measurement ofD. The non-heme iron protein, lipoxygenase, in its activatedS=5/2 Fe+3 state, exhibits distributions inE/D. The effect of distributions in ZFS parameters on Kramers doublet transitions and interdoublet transitions are very different. These differences can be used to separate the components of the distribution inE/D: distributions inE andD. A first estimate of the separated distributions can be obtained from the relative amplitudes of the lowest Kramers doublet to the interdoublet transitions.  相似文献

The spectroscopic quadrupole moments and the magnetic dipole moments of the lowest 2+ states in186Os (137 keV) and188Os (155 keV) have been determined by Mößbauer transmission experiments. The electric quadrupole momentsQ 2+(Os 186)=? (1.80±0.22) b andQ 2+(Os 188)=?(1.81±0.24) b as well as their ratioQ 2+(Os 188)/Q 2+(Os 186)=1.00±0.07 within the limits of error agree withB(E2) data, if a comparison on the basis of the rotational model is made. For the g-factors and their ratio g2+(Os 186)=0.281±0.008, g2+(Os 188)=0.305±0.015 andg 2+(Os 188)/g 2+(Os 186)=1.08±0.05 was obtained. The near-mass-shell behavior of the exclusive color-singlet quark form factor is calculated up to the two-loops. In the Landau gauge the result can be expressed as the second order expansion of exp [B(p, p′; g2 (k2))], where B(p, p′; g2(k2)) is the lowest order contribution evaluated with a gluon propagator of the form (?i/(k2 ? iε)) (gμν ? (kμkν/k2) × g2(k2) being the long-distance invariant charge. This result is valid to all orders, in an order by order near-mass-shell leading logirithm approximation.  相似文献

Data on the in-plane thermal conductivity and thermoelectric power of a stage-5 potassium donor graphite intercalation compound are reported in the temperature range 3 < T < 300 K. In the lowest temperature range the electronic contribution dominates the thermal conductivity, while at higher temperature there is a dominant lattice contribution, which is much smaller than pristine graphite. The thermopower is negative in the whole temperature range.  相似文献

Theg-factor of the 7+ state in100Rh withT 1/2=140(5) ns and of the 6? state in104Rh withT 1/2=47(3)ns has been measured by the time-differential perturbedγ-ray angular distribution method (TDPAD). The obtained values are +0.67(2) and +0.33(1) respectively. The two nuclei were populated with reactions induced by7Li on96,100Mo at a bombarding energy of 30 MeV. Shell model calculations using effective single particle moments show that the 7+ state in100Rh has mostly a πg 9/2 ? vd 5/2 configuration, while the main component of the 6? state in104Rh is the πg 9/2 ? vh 11/2.  相似文献

The light particle spectrum of quantum chromodynamics in (1 + 1) dimensions is considered for the limit of strong coupling (g ? m), where g is the coupling constant and m is the bare mass of the fermions. The spectrum is shown to be composed of baryons and baryon-antibaryon bound states. The spectrum is computed to lowest order in m/g and the results are compared with those of other treatments of QCD2.  相似文献

[Theg-factor ratio of the first excited 3? and 5? states in40Ca was measured to beg 3/g 5=1.01(10) employing the implantation perturbed angular correlation technique. The static hyperfine fields (SF) in Fe and Gd hosts were used. In addition the lifetime of the 5? state was measured to be τ=426(7)ps. The values of the SF in Gd and Fe hosts were deduced and compared with systematics in this element region.  相似文献

Perturbed γ-ray angular distributions from the first 2+ states were measured for Coulomb-excited192,194,196,198Pt recoiling into vacuum atv/c=0.010. Comparableg-factors were obtained for all four nuclei. Normalisation to the hyperfine field in196Pt enabled both a comparison with a recent hydrodynamicg-factor measured in192Pt and a cross-check of disputed Ir in Fe measurements. We have measured the thermoelectric power of LaB6, PrB6 and NdB6 in the temperature range 2–20K. PrB6 and NdB6 order antiferromagnetically at TN = 6.99K and 7.74K respectively, whereas LaB6 is non-magnetic. The thermoelectric power data have a negative maximum near 5.5K in all three hexaborides. This negative peak is thought to be mainly due to phonon drag in LaB6. In PrB6 and NdB6 there is an additional contribution due to magnon drag. It is expected that the high temperature thermoelectric power is mainly due to an electron diffusion term and a contribution due to spin disorder scattering. The thermoelectric power and the resistivity have been compared in the vicinity of TN. A qualitative similarity in the temperature derivatives of these two quantities has been found for PrB6 and NdB6 near TN.  相似文献

Theg-factor of theJ π=21/2+ isomeric state in111In (T 1/2=13.3 ns) and of theJ π=6+ isomeric state in112Sn (T 1/2=13.7 ns) were measured using the spin rotation method. The result obtained for theJ π=21/2+ level in111In,g=+0.47 (2), indicates that this state has an almost pure ((πg 9/2)?1 νg 7/2 νd 5/2) shell model configuration. The experimental valueg=+0.04 (3) for theJ π=6+ isomer in112Sn agrees with the theoretical value calculated within the frame of the BCS model.  相似文献

Theg-factors of the 2 1 + and 4 1 + states in198,200,202Hg were simultaneously measured by means of the transient-field perturbed angular correlation method in Coulomb excitation using multi-isotopic targets and thin polarized Gd foils as ferromagnetic host. Theg(2 1 + ) andg(4 1 + ) were found identical within errors in198, 200Hg, while in200Hg lowerg-factor values have been determined. The experimentalg-factors were compared with the predictions of the pairing-plus-quadrupole, dynamical deformation and interacting boson models.  相似文献

Using the time-differential perturbed angular distribution method (TDPAD) theg-factors of the 11/2? isomeric states in115Sb and17Sb have been measured to beg(115Sb, 11/2?)=0.97 ±0.10 andg(117Sb, 11/2?)=1.02 ±0.07. Theg factors of the first and second excited 2+ states in192Pt and194Pt have been measured using γ-γ angular correlations perturbed by the hyperfine field in an iron lattice. Bulk magnetizations of sources were examined with special care for different shapes of alloys and different magnetizing conditions. The following results have been obtained:192Pt: 316 keV stateg=0.346±0.024, 612 keV stateg=0.455±0.089.194Pt: 328 keV stateg=0.354±0.031, 622 keV stateg=0.316±0.029. These values are the largest ones which have been reported so far. The discrepancies between the present and previous data are discussed especially in terms of magnetizing conditions for the sources used. It is suggested that the difference ing factor between the first and second 2+ states may be in a certain correlation with M1 matrix element connecting these two states.  相似文献
