This paper studies the symmetry, with respect to the real axis, of the point spectrum of the upper triangular infinite dimensional Hamiltonian operator H. Note that the point spectrum of H can be described as σp(H) = σp(A) ∪σp1(-A*). Using the characteristic of the set σp1(-A*), we divide the point spectrum σp(A) of A into three disjoint parts. Then, a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained under which σp1(-A*) and one part of σp(A) are symmetric with respect to the real axis each other. Based on this result, the symmetry of σp(H) is completely given. Moreover, the above result is applied to thin plates on elastic foundation, plane elasticity problems and harmonic equations.  相似文献

When A ∈ B(H) and B ∈ B(K) are given, we denote by Mc an operator acting on the Hilbert space HΘ K of the form Me = ( A0 CB). In this paper, first we give the necessary and sufficient condition for Mc to be an upper semi-Fredholm (lower semi-Fredholm, or Fredholm) operator for some C ∈B(K,H). In addition, let σSF+(A) = {λ ∈ C : A-λI is not an upper semi-Fredholm operator} bc the upper semi-Fredholm spectrum of A ∈ B(H) and let σrsF- (A) = {λ∈ C : A-λI is not a lower semi-Fredholm operator} be the lower semi Fredholm spectrum of A. We show that the passage from σSF±(A) U σSF±(B) to σSF±(Mc) is accomplished by removing certain open subsets of σSF-(A) ∩σSF+ (B) from the former, that is, there is an equality σSF±(A) ∪σSF± (B) = σSF± (Mc) ∪& where L is the union of certain of the holes in σSF±(Mc) which ilappen to be subsets of σSF- (A) A σSF+ (B). Weyl's theorem and Browder's theorem are liable to fail for 2 × 2 operator matrices. In this paper, we also explore how Weyl's theorem, Browder's theorem, a-Weyl's theorem and a-Browder's theorem survive for 2 × 2 upper triangular operator matrices on the Hilbert space.  相似文献

σr(A) ∪ σr( B)= σr (Mc) ∪ W ,
where W is the union of certain of the holes in σr(Mc) which happen to be subsets of σr(A) ∩ σr(B), and σr(A), σr(B), σr(Mc) can be equal to the Browder or essential spectra of A, B, Mc, respectively. In this note we define the property (ω′), a variant of Weyl’s theorem, and establish for a bounded linear operator defined on a Hilbert space the necessary and sufficient conditions for which property (ω′) holds by means of the variant of the essential approximate point spectrum σ1(·) and the spectrum defined in view of the property of consistency in Fredholm and index. This paper deals with the structure of the spectrum of infinite dimensional Hamiltonian operators.It is shown that the spectrum,the union of the point spectrum and residual spectrum,and the continuous spectrum are all symmetric with respect to the imaginary axis of the complex plane. Moreover,it is proved that the residual spectrum does not contain any pair of points symmetric with respect to the imaginary axis;and a complete characterization of the residual spectrum in terms of the point spectrum is then given.As applications of these structure results,we obtain several necessary and sufficient conditions for the residual spectrum of a class of infinite dimensional Hamiltonian operators to be empty.  相似文献

A Hilbert space operator T is said to have property(ω1) if σa(T)\σaw(T) ? π00(T), where σa(T) and σaw(T) denote the approximate point spectrum and the Weyl essential approximate point spectrum of T respectively, and π00(T) = {λ∈ iso σ(T), 0 dim N(T- λI) ∞}. If σa(T)\σaw(T) = π00(T), we say T satisfies property(ω). 本文研究斜对角无穷维Hamilton算子$H=\begin{pmatrix}0&B\\C&0\end{pmatrix}$的点谱和特征函数系辛结构的非退化性, 给出斜对角无穷维Hamilton算子$H$的特征函数系具有非退化辛结构的充分必要条件. 基于此, 进一步刻画了斜对角无穷维Hamilton算子$H$的点谱分别包含于实轴、虚轴以及其它区域的充分必要条件. 最后, 以板弯曲问题和弦振动问题中导出的斜对角无穷维Hamilton算子为例, 验证了所得结论的正确性.  相似文献

若T或T~*是无穷维可分的Hilbert空间H上的代数κ-拟-A类算子,则Weyl定理对任意的f∈H(σ(T))成立,其中H(σ(T))为σ(T)的开邻域上解析函数的全体.若T~*是代数κ-拟-A类算子,则a-Weyl定理对f(T)成立。还证明了若T或T~*是代数κ-拟-A类算子,则Weyl谱与本质近似点谱的谱映射定理对f(T)成立.  相似文献

Let H be a separable Hilbert space, B H(I), B(H) and K(H) the sets of all Bessel sequences {f i}i∈I in H, bounded linear operators on H and compact operators on H, respectively. Two kinds of multiplications and involutions are introduced in light of two isometric linear isomorphisms αH : B H(I) → B(?2), β : B H(I) → B(H), respectively, so that B H(I) becomes a unital C*-algebra under each kind of multiplication and involution. It is proved that the two C*-algebras(B H(I), ?, ?) and(B H(I), ·, *) are *-isomorphic. It is also proved that the set F H(I) of all frames for H is a unital multiplicative semi-group and the set R H(I) of all Riesz bases for H is a self-adjoint multiplicative group, as well as the set K H(I) := β-1(K(H)) is the unique proper closed self-adjoint ideal of the C*-algebra B H(I).  相似文献

In this paper, we first give the definitions of a crossed left π-H-comodules over a crossed weak Hopf π-algebra H, and show that the category of crossed left π-H-comodules is a monoidal category. Finally, we show that a family σ = {σα,β: Hα Hβ→ k}α,β∈πof k-linear maps is a coquasitriangular structure of a crossed weak Hopf π-algebra H if and only if the category of crossed left π-H-comodules over H is a braided monoidal category with braiding defined by σ.  相似文献

设G是有限群,H为G的子群.如果存在一个主群列1=G_0(?)G_1(?)…(?) G_(n-1)(?)G_n=G,使得对每个i=1,2,…,n,或者H覆盖G_i/G_(i-1),或者H避开G_i/G_(i-1),则称H为G的半覆盖—避开子群.利用G的Sylow子群的极大子群,Sylow子群的2-极大子群的半覆盖—避开性得到了群的可解性,p-幂零性的判别,同时得到了群系的一些结论.  相似文献

Given a convex body $C\subset R^n$ (i.e., a compact convex set with nonempty interior), for $x\in$ {\it int}$(C)$, the interior, and a hyperplane $H$ with $x\in H$, let $H_1,H_2$ be the two support hyperplanes of $C$ parallel to $H$. Let $r(H, x)$ be the ratio, not less than 1, in which $H$ divides the distance between $H_1,H_2$. Then the quantity $${\it As}(C):=\inf_{x\in {\it int}(C)}\,\sup_{H\ni x}\,r(H,x)$$ is called the Minkowski measure of asymmetry of $C$. {\it As}$(\cdot)$ can be viewed as a real-valued function defined on the family of all convex bodies in $R^n$. It has been known for a long time that {\it As}$(\cdot)$ attains its minimum value 1 at all centrally symmetric convex bodies and maximum value $n$ at all simplexes. In this paper we discuss the stability of the Minkowski measure of asymmetry for convex bodies. We give an estimate for the deviation of a convex body from a simplex if the corresponding Minkowski measure of asymmetry is close to its maximum value. More precisely, the following result is obtained: Let $C\subset R^n$ be a convex body. If {\it As}$(C)\ge n-\varepsilon$ for some $0\le \varepsilon < 1/8(n+1),$ then there exists a simplex $S_0$ formed by $n+1$ support hyperplanes of $C$, such that $$(1+8(n+1)\varepsilon)^{-1}S_0\subset C\subset S_0,$$ where the homethety center is the (unique) Minkowski critical point of $C$. So $$d_{{\rm BM}}(C,S)\le 1+8(n+1)\varepsilon$$ holds for all simplexes $S$, where $d_{{\rm BM}}(\cdot,\cdot)$ denotes the Banach-Mazur distance.  相似文献
