Let: E M be a fiber bundle and let be an infinitesimal Lie transformation group acting onE. We announce various new results concerning the cohomology of the invariant variational bicomplex ( *,* (J(E)), dH, dV) and the associated invariant Euler-Lagrange complex. As one application of our general theory, we completely solve the local invariant inverse problem of the calculus of variations for finite-dimensional infinitesimal Lie transformation groups.  相似文献

It is known that the computation of the Poisson cohomology is closely related to the classification of singularities of Poisson structures. In this paper, we will first look for the normal forms of germs at (0,0) of Poisson structures onG 2 (G=ℝ or ℂ) and recall a result given by Arnold. We compute the formal Poisson cohomology of a broken Lefschetz fibration by calculating it at fold and Lefschetz singularities. Near a fold singularity the computation reduces to that for a point singularity in 3 dimensions. For the Poisson cohomology around singular points we adapt techniques developed for the Sklyanin algebra. As a side result, we give compact formulas for the Poisson coboundary operator of an arbitrary Jacobian Poisson structure in 4 dimensions.  相似文献

We study higher-order conservation laws of the nonlinearizable elliptic Poisson equation as elements of the characteristic cohomology of the associated exterior differential system. The theory of characteristic cohomology determines a normal form for differentiated conservation laws by realizing them as elements of the kernel of a linear differential operator. We show that the \mathbbS1{\mathbb{S}^1} -symmetry of the PDE leads to a normal form for the undifferentiated conservation laws. Zhiber and Shabat (in Sov Phys Dokl Akad 24(8):607–609, 1979) determine which potentials of nonlinearizable Poisson equations admit nontrivial Lie–B?cklund transformations. In the case that such transformations exist, they introduce a pseudo-differential operator that can be used to generate infinitely many such transformations. We obtain similar results using the theory of characteristic cohomology: we show that for higher-order conservation laws to exist, it is necessary that the potential satisfies a linear second-order ODE. In this case, at most two new conservation laws in normal form appear at each even prolongation. By using a recursion motivated by Killing fields, we show that, for the simplest class of potentials, this upper bound is attained. The recursion circumvents the use of pseudo-differential operators. We relate higher-order conservation laws to generalized symmetries of the exterior differential system by identifying their generating functions. This Noether correspondence provides the connection between conservation laws and the canonical Jacobi fields of Pinkall and Sterling.  相似文献

We prove that the Poisson boundary of any spread out non-degenerate symmetric randomwalk on an arbitrary locally compact second countable group G is doubly $\mathcal{M}$sep-ergodic with respect to the class $\mathcal{M}$sep of separable coefficient Banach G-modules. The proof is direct and based on an analogous property of the bilateral Bernoulli shift in the space of increments of the random walk. As a corollary we obtain that any locally compact s-compact group G admits a measure class preserving action which is both amenable and doubly $\mathcal{M}$sep-ergodic. This generalizes an earlier result of Burger and Monod obtained under the assumption that G is compactly generated and allows one to dispose of this assumption in numerous applications to the theory of bounded cohomology.  相似文献

Let M be a smooth and compact moduli space of stable coherent sheaves on a projective surface S with an effective (or trivial) anti-canonical line bundle. We find generators for the cohomology ring of M, with integral coefficients. When S is simply connected and a universal sheaf E exists over S×M, then its class [E] admits a Künneth decomposition as a class in the tensor product of the topological K-rings. The generators are the Chern classes of the Künneth factors of [E] in . The general case is similar.  相似文献

We present new upper bounds for the total variation distance between the aggregate claims distribution in the individual risk model and a suitable compound Poisson distribution. It turns out that the bounds are generally valid and contain so-called magic factors. Higher-order approximations, including the signed Kornya–Presman measures, are also investigated. In contrast to results of a previous paper by the author, the results do not depend on a joint decomposition of the individual claim amount distributions. We present a functorial computation of the equivariant intersection cohomology of a hypertoric variety, and endow it with a natural ring structure. When the hyperplane arrangement associated with the hypertoric variety is unimodular, we show that this ring structure is induced by a ring structure on the equivariant intersection cohomology sheaf in the equivariant derived category. The computation is given in terms of a localization functor which takes equivariant sheaves on a sufficiently nice stratified space to sheaves on a poset. T.
