We find the exact Green's functions of the Anderson s-d mixing model for magnetic trilayers with arbitrary spin canting angle between two ferromagnetic layers within the rneanfield theory of the on-site Coulomb repulsion. A bilinear exchange coupling and an intrinsic biquadratic coupling which does not vanish in the limit of flat interfaces is obtained by those Green's functions. It is shown that both of these couplings oscillate in the experimental range of the spacer thickness only when the s-d mixing is strong enough. When the mixing strength is large enough one finds that the oscillation period of the intrinsic biquadratic term is equal to half of the corresponding one for the bilinear term. We also find that the temperature dependence of those interlayer couplings is considerably enhanced with the decrease of the Hubbard coupling. It is also shown that the biquadratic coupling falls off much more rapidly with increasing temperature than the bilinear one.  相似文献

We consider interlayer magnetic coupling in a superlattice and/or overlayer in the case when spacer layer has the tendency towards formation of the helical spin density wave. Within phenomenological Landau-Ginzburg approach we show that the mutual interplay of the SDW and interlayer coupling spin polarization can lead to the helical interlayer coupling. When surface anisotropy is accounted for the effective interaction mimics interlayer biquadratic coupling.  相似文献

Recent advances in the study of exchange couplings in magnetic films are introduced.To provide a comprehensive understanding of exchange coupling,we have designed different bilayers,trilayers and multilayers,such as anisotropic hard/soft-magnetic multilayer films,ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic trilayers,[Pt/Co]/NiFe/NiO heterostructures,Co/NiO and Co/NiO/Fe trilayers on an anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) template.The exchange-coupling interaction between soft-and hard-magnetic phases,interlayer and interfacial exchange couplings and magnetic and magnetotransport properties in these magnetic films have been investigated in detail by adjusting the magnetic anisotropy of ferromagnetic layers and by changing the thickness of the spacer layer,ferromagnetic layer,and antiferromagnetic layer.Some particular physical phenomena have been observed and explained.  相似文献

The interlayer exchange coupling and GMR effect of (permalloy/Cu x Au1-x )30 (Py = Ni83Fe17; 0.29x0.75) sputtered multilayers (MLs) were investigated. The strength of the antiferromagnetic (AF) interlayer coupling J AF was determined from M(H) and/or R(H) curves. GMR effect and AF coupling was found in entire investigated concentration range of Cu x Au1-x . For x<0.65 the J AF values at the first maximum of AF coupling (1.3t Cu-Au1.6 nm) were smaller than 3×10-6 J/m2 and for x>0.65 J AF increased to a value characteristic of Py/Cu MLs (J AF10-5 J/m2). The second maximum of AF coupling (J AF10-7 J/m2) was only found for x0.75 at t Cu-Au2.6 nm.  相似文献

Effect of interface roughness on antiferromagnetic coupling between Fe layers in a Fe/Cr/Fe trilayer, with Cr layer having a wedge form has been studied. All the samples have been deposited simultaneously on substrates having different roughness, thus it is being considered that there is no variation in the morphological features like grain size and grain texture of the films. Measurements have been done as a function of Cr spacer layer thickness and the peak value of antiferromagnetic coupling strength is compared among different trilayers, thus any influence of spacer layer thickness fluctuation from sample to sample has also been avoided. The samples are characterized by X-ray reflectivity (XRR) and magneto-optic Kerr effect (MOKE). XRR results show that the roughness of the substrate is not replicated at the successive interfaces. Antiferromagnetic coupling between Fe layers decreases with the increase of roughness of Fe/Cr/Fe interfaces.  相似文献

考虑一个运动的二能级原子与单模热光场强度相关耦合,采用量子约化熵研究原子和场的约化熵变化规律、原子与场的熵交换,用共生纠缠度研究原子与场的纠缠。并借助于数值计算方法,详细分析了在强度相关耦合J-C模型中,原子初态、热光场的平均光子数以及场模结构参数对熵交换和纠缠的影响。结果表明原子与光场的熵交换和纠缠均周期性地演化。选择适当的原子初态,可以使得原子的约化熵和光场的约化熵完全交换,这意味着原子与光场反相关。此外,场模结构参数增加导致熵交换的幅度减小,周期缩短。原子与热光场的纠缠随平均光子数的增加而减弱。  相似文献

In the asymptotic limit, the interlayer exchange coupling decays as D-2, where D is the spacer thickness. A systematic procedure for calculating the preasymptotic corrections, i.e., the terms of order D-n with ,is presented. The temperature dependence of the preasymptotic corrections is calculated. We present a first principles study of the magnetoresistance (MR) perpendicular to the planes of atoms and the interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) in Fe-Si-Fe trilayers. In both cases the dependence on the number of spacer layers is investigated, whereby the spacer thickness ranges between 3 and 21 Å for the IEC and extends to 33 Å for the MR in order to obtain the asymptotic behavior. Additionally, the influence of alloy formation at the interfaces on the MR and the IEC is examined. The calculations of the electronic structure are performed within the fully relativistic spin-polarized screened Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker method and the transport properties are derived from the Kubo-Greenwood equation. Our results give evidence that inter-diffusion is one of the origins of the small MR, which is observed experimentally in Fe/Si/Fe trilayers. AFM coupling occurs for spacers thicker than 4 Å which is in accordance with the experimental findings. It seems that interdiffusion stabilizes AFM coupling in Fe-Si-Fe trilayers.  相似文献

Effective exchange interactions in bulk ferromagnets as well as in magnetic overlayers on Cu(001) covered by a Cu-cap layer of varying thickness were determined from first principles by mapping of corresponding total energies onto the effective Heisenberg model in the framework of the adiabatic approximation and magnetic force theorem. The effective Heisenberg model is then used to determine spin-wave stiffness constants and Curie temperatures evaluated in the framework of the random-phase approximation. Calculations are in a fair agreement with available experimental data for bulk ferromagnets and reproduce an oscillatory Curie temperature of magnetic overlayers as a function of Cu-cap thickness in a qualitative agreement with recent experiments.  相似文献

Magnetic polarization of Mo atoms in Co96Mo4 alloy film and Co/Mo multilayered structures has been studied by X‐ray magnetic circular dichroism. Samples with Mo spacers of two different thicknesses (0.9 nm and 1.8 nm) were investigated. Mo atoms receive a magnetic moment of ?0.21μB in the alloy. In the multilayer with the thinner Mo spacer (dMo = 0.9 nm) the magnetic moment is much smaller (?0.03μB). In both cases the measured induced moment at the Mo site is oriented antiparallel to the moment at the Co atoms. The presence of the induced moment in the Mo spacer coincides with antiferromagnetic coupling between the Co component slabs. In contrast, neither measurable induced moment at the Mo site nor interlayer coupling between the Co layers has been found for the multilayer with the thicker Mo spacer. Possible mechanisms of the coupling associated with the induced moment are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The interplay between interfacial disorder and the antiferromagnetic order in Cr leads to complex behavior in Fe/Cr multilayers. Measurements of interlayer coupling are discussed for samples with different amounts of disorder ranging from optimally fabricated trilayers of Fe/Cr/Fe on Fe(0 0 1) whiskers, to trilayers with increasing degrees of interfacial roughness, and finally to superlattices of Fe/Cr. The coupling of ferromagnets through noble-metal spacer layers can be described by a model that consists of bilinear coupling averaged over thickness fluctuations and extrinsic biquadratic coupling induced by the thickness fluctuations. This, the conventional model, also describes much of the behavior observed for Fe/Cr multilayers. However, in this case, the antiferromagnetism in Cr leads to results not explained by the conventional model. For nearly ideal interfaces, the Fe–Cr coupling can induce order in Cr, modifying the temperature dependence of the interlayer coupling. In addition, interfacial disorder can frustrate the antiferromagnetic order in the Cr, leading to a variety of ordered states which have been observed by neutron scattering. Each of these ordered states, in turn modifies the interlayer coupling in unexpected ways. The different ways in which the systems minimize the frustration can explain the experimental results.  相似文献

Spin-wave theory is used to study magnetic properties of ferromagnetic double layers with a ferrimagnetic interlayer coupling at zero temperature. The spin-wave spectra and four sublattices magnetizations and internal energy are calculated by employing retarded Green function technique. The sublattice magnetizations at ground state are smaller than their classical values, owing to the zero-point quantum fluctuations of the spins.  相似文献

Fe/CeH2−δ multilayers exhibit at room temperature evidence of interlayer exchange coupling. Subsequent Fe layers are either parallel or antiparallel to each other, depending on the Fe and CeH2−δ layer thickness. However, when both layers have thickness larger than 15 Å, the antiferromagnetic structure becomes fragmented into domains laterally limited to a few microns, and the magnetic structures become very fragile. Small magnetic fields of a few Oersteds acting on the samples during growth induce helimagnetic configurations which coexist with antiferromagnetic coupling. The magnetic structures can be permanently destroyed by applying magnetic fields larger than 150 Oe.  相似文献

Fe(2 ML)/V(y ML) and interleaved Fe(2 ML)/V(y ML)/Fe(3 ML)/V(y ML) superlattice systems with spacer thicknesses, y, (4 ≤ y ≤ 17) were investigated macro-magnetically to estimate the coupling strength and the magnetoresistance in these materials, and particularly in the antiferromagnetically coupled monolayers. The results from the magnetic and magnetoresistive measurements indicate that adding one monolayer of Fe increases the antiferromagnetic coupling and the magnetoresistivity ratio from 0.0075 mJ/m2 at 20 K and 2 % at 10 K for Fe(2 ML)/V(y ML), to 0.05 mJ/m2 and 2.5 % for Fe(2 ML)/V(y ML)/Fe(3 ML)/V(y ML) at the same temperatures. Both systems exhibit in-plane magnetic and magnetoresistive isotropy, therefore the increase of the conferred physical parameters is attributed mainly to the stresses at the interface as governing mechanisms over the magnetoelastic forces.   相似文献

Exchange bias phenomena appear not only in ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic systems but also in ferromagnetic/ferromagnetic systems in which two layers are nearly perpendicularly coupled. We investigated the origin of the symmetry-breaking mechanism and the relationship between the exchange bias and the system's energy parameters. We compared the results of computational Monte Carlo simulations with those of theoretical model calculation. We found that the exchange bias exhibited nonlinear behaviors, including sign reversal and singularities. These complicated behaviors were caused by two distinct magnetization processes depending on the interlayer coupling strength. The exchange bias reached a maximum at the transition between the two magnetization processes.  相似文献

Two new mapping relations between the angular coordinate on the black hole (BH) horizon and radialcoordinate on the disc are given according to the requirement of general relativity and Maxwell‘s equations, and theeffects of magnetic coupling (MC) on temperature of accretion disc are investigated by comparing with pure accretion.It is shown that the MC effects on the temperature profile are related intimately to the BH spin, and the influenceon the peak value of disc temperature based on the modified mapping relations is not as great as that based on thelinear mapping.The peak value and the corresponding radius of peak value ring of disc temperature do not increasemonotonically as the increasing spin of BH, each containing a maximum for the fast-spinning BH. The value ranges ofthe bolometric luminosity and color temperature of the disc are both extended by the MC effects.  相似文献

Magnetic multilayers of 57Fe with nominal thickness, T nom, between 0.4 and 1.0 nm separated by 3.0 nm Al spacer layers were prepared by alternate deposition of the constituents in high vacuum. The samples were investigated at 4.2 K in external magnetic field. A fraction of Fe atoms corresponding to about 0.3 nm equivalent Fe-thickness was found to mix into the Al spacer. The extremely strong magnetic anisotropy observed for T nom < 0.8 nm is attributed to Fe layers of approximately two atomic planes thick. The anisotropy decreases considerably after the building up of the third Fe atomic layer starts at T nom = 0.8 nm, but full saturation was not achieved even for T nom = 1 nm and 3 T magnetic field applied perpendicularly to the sample plane.  相似文献

采用磁控溅射技术制备了具有永磁特征的Nd-Ce-Fe-B多层纳米复合薄膜,并对其进行了退火处理.通过改变退火温度,研究其对薄膜磁性能和晶体结构的影响.结果表明,随着退火温度的提高薄膜磁性能逐渐增大,但当温度达到695℃以上时,薄膜的磁性能急剧下降.当退火温度为675℃时,薄膜的矫顽力Hci=10.1 kOe(1Oe=79.5775 A/m),垂直于薄膜表面方向的剩余磁化强度4πM_(r⊥)=5.91 kG(1 G=10~3/(4π)A/m).薄膜的X射线衍射结果表明,磁性薄膜具有较好的c轴取向.通过对薄膜磁化反转过程的研究,发现随着外加磁场的增大,M_(rev)的极小值向M_(irr)减小的方向移动,这与畴壁弯曲模型类似,表明在薄膜中存在较强烈的局部钉扎作用,而剩余磁化强度曲线表明这种钉扎作用在薄膜矫顽力机制中并不占支配作用.此外,薄膜的Henkel曲线结果表明在薄膜中存在较强的交换耦合作用,在经过685℃退火的薄膜中磁相互作用更加显著.  相似文献
