We consider the embedding relation between the class W q H β ω , including only odd functions and a set of functions defined via the strong means of Fourier series of odd continuous functions. We establish an improvement of a recent theorem of Le and Zhou [Math. Inequal. Appl. 11(4) (2008) 749–756] which is a generalization of Tikhonov’s results [Anal. Math. 31 (2005) 183–194]. We also extend the Leindler theorem [Anal. Math. 31 (2005) 175–182] concerning sequences of Fourier coefficients.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is by using CSQ method to study the strong convergence problem of iterative sequences for a pair of strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings to approximate a common fixed point in a Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are proved. In [Rong, F., Quasi-parabolic analytic transformations of C n , J. Math. Anal. Appl. 343 (2008), 99–109], we showed the existence of “parabolic curves” for certain quasi-parabolic analytic transformations of C n . Summary The present paper is concerned with functions analytic in the unit disc having rapidly increasing maximum moduli. To study the precise rates of growth of such functions the concept of index is introduced. Several growth parameters in terms of the index are defined for a function analytic in the unit disc and their characterizations in terms of the Taylorseries development of the function are obtained. The results in the present paper improve and refine the earlier results ofSons (J. Math. Anal. Appl,24 (1968), pp. 296–306),MacLane (Asymptotic values of [holomorphic functions,Rice University Studies, Houston, 1963), andKapoor andJuneja (Indian J. Pura Appl. Kath.,7 (3) (1976), pp. 241–248). In this paper, we introduce the notion of (Benson) proper subgradient of a set-valued map and prove that, for some class of nonconvex set-valued maps, a proper subgradient of the sum of two set-valued maps can be expressed as the sum of two proper subgradients of these maps. This property is also established for weak subgradients. A result in Ref. [Lin, L.J.: J. Math. Anal. Appl. 186, 30–51 (1994)], obtained under some convexity assumption, is included as a special case of the corresponding result of this paper. In this article we prove that some of the sufficient and necessary optimality conditions obtained by Ginchev, Guerraggio, Luc [Appl. Math., 51, 5-36 (2006)] generalize (strictly) those presented by Guerraggio, Luc [J. Optim. Theory Appl., 109, 615-629 (2001)]. While the former paper shows examples for which the conditions given there are effective but the ones from the latter paper fail, it does not prove that generally the conditions it proposes are stronger. In the present note we complete this comparison with the lacking proof.  相似文献

In this paper, we first prove a strong convergence theorem for resolvents of accretive operators in a Banach space by the viscosity approximation method, which is a generalization of the results of Reich [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 75 (1980), 287–292], and Takahashi and Ueda [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 104 (1984), 546–553]. Further using this result, we consider the proximal point algorithm in a Banach space by the viscosity approximation method, and obtain a strong convergence theorem which is a generalization of the result of Kamimura and Takahashi [Set-Valued Anal. 8 (2000), 361–374]. The inequalities given here unify and extend some inequalities in (B G Pachpatte, On some new inequalities related to a certain inequality arising in the theory of differential equation, J. Math. In Refs. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 258:287–308, [2001]; J. Math. Anal. Appl. 256:229–241, [2001]], Yang and Li presented a characterization of preinvex functions and semistrictly preinvex functions under a certain set of conditions. In this note, we show that the same results or even more general ones can be obtained under weaker assumptions; we also give a characterization of strictly preinvex functions under mild conditions. This paper devotes to analyzing deconvolution algorithms based on wavelet frame approaches, which has already appeared in Chan et al. (SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 24(4), 1408–1432, 2003; Appl. Comput. Hormon. Anal. 17, 91–115, 2004a; Int. J. Imaging Syst. Technol. 14, 91–104, 2004b) as wavelet frame based high resolution image reconstruction methods. We first give a complete formulation of deconvolution in terms of multiresolution analysis and its approximation, which completes the formulation given in Chan et al. (SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 24(4), 1408–1432, 2003; Appl. Comput. Hormon. Anal. 17, 91–115, 2004a; Int. J. Imaging Syst. Technol. 14, 91–104, 2004b). This formulation converts deconvolution to a problem of filling the missing coefficients of wavelet frames which satisfy certain minimization properties. These missing coefficients are recovered iteratively together with a built-in denoising scheme that removes noise in the data set such that noise in the data will not blow up while iterating. This approach has already been proven to be efficient in solving various problems in high resolution image reconstructions as shown by the simulation results given in Chan et al. (SIAM J. Sci. Comput. 24(4), 1408–1432, 2003; Appl. Comput. Hormon. Anal. 17, 91–115, 2004a; Int. J. Imaging Syst. Technol. 14, 91–104, 2004b). However, an analysis of convergence as well as the stability of algorithms and the minimization properties of solutions were absent in those papers. This paper is to establish the theoretical foundation of this wavelet frame approach. In particular, a proof of convergence, an analysis of the stability of algorithms and a study of the minimization property of solutions are given.  相似文献

Summary In the context of a mechanical theory of a Cosserat point developed by Green and Naghdi [1=Quart. J. Mech. and Appl. Math.,44, 335–355 (1991)], this paper establishes a properly invariant theory for infinitesimal deformations. The invariant theory is valid for an elastic Cosserat point with an arbitrary number of directors. Its construction is based on a method developed by Casey and Naghdi [2=Arch. Rational Mech. Anal.,76, 355–391 (1981)] for unconstrained non-polar elastic bodies.  相似文献

We establish an integral inequality, on a so called time scale, related to those appearing in Constantin (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 197 (1996), 855–863) and Yang and Tan (JIPAM J. Inequal. Pure Appl. Math. 8 (2007), No. 2, Art 57). Our result can be used to obtain estimates for solutions of certain dynamic equations. Moreover, the bounds obtained in this paper are sharper than those known previously in the literature. We proved a random coincidence point theorem for a pair of commuting random operators in the setup of Fréchet spaces. As applications, we obtained random fixed point and best approximation results for *-nonexpansive multivalued maps. We introduce the new idea of recurrent functions to provide a new semilocal convergence analysis for Newton-type methods, under mild differentiability conditions.
