Stochastic programming has extensive applications in practical problems such as production planning and portfolio selection. Typically, the model has very large size and some techniques are often used to exploit the special structure of the programs. It has been noticed that the coefficient matrix may not be of full rank in the well-known scenario formulation of stochastic programming; thus, the preprocessing is often necessary in developing rapid decomposition methods. In this paper, we propose a parallelizable preprocessing method, which exploits effectively the structure of the formulation. Although the underlying idea is simple, the method turns out to be very useful in practice, since it may help us to select the nonanticipativity constraints efficiently. Some numerical results are reported confirming the usefulness of the method. This work was partially supported by the Informatics Research Center for Development of Knowledge Society Infrastructure, Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. Hermann and Thurston proved that the group of diffeomorphisms with compact support of a smooth manifold M which are isotopic to the identity is a perfect group. We consider the case where M has a geometric structure. In this paper we shall survey on the recent results of the first homology of the diffeomorphism
groups which preserve a smooth G-action or a foliated structure on M. We also work in Lipschitz category.

The notion of Hankel operators associated with analytic crossed products were introduced and researched in [2]. In this paper,
we study the adjoint of Hankel operators and give necessary and sufficient condition that the adjoint of a Hankel operator
is again a Hankel operator.

We show that for any possible Weierstrass gap sequence L on a non-singular curve of genus 8 with twice the smallest positive non-gap is less than the largest gap there exists a pointed
non-singular curve (C, P) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 such that the Weierstrass gap sequence at P is L. Combining this with the result in [6] we see that every possible Weierstrass gap sequence of genus 8 is attained by some
pointed non-singular curve.

We study SU(3) Toda system in non-abelian relativistic self-dual gauge theory. In the range of parameters where the corresponding Trudinger-Moser
inequality fails, we show the existence of the solution by a different variational formulation from Lucia-Nolasco's [15].

We show that if a hyperbolic 3-manifold M has two toroidal Dehn fillings with distance at least 3, then ∂M consists of at most three tori. As a result, we can obtain an optimal estimate for the number of exceptional slopes on hyperbolic
3-manifolds with boundary a union of at least 4 tori.

We study the stability of capillary surfaces without gravity for anisotropic free surface energies. For a large class of rotationally
symmetric energy functionals, it is shown that the only stable equilibria supported on parallel planes are either cylinders
or a part of the Wulff shape.

The Hilbert and Riesz transforms can be characterized up to scalar as the translation invariant operators that satisfy additionally
certain relative invariance of conformal transformation groups. In this article, we initiate a systematic study of translation
invariant operators from group theoretic viewpoints, and formalize a geometric condition that characterizes specific multiplier
operators uniquely up to scalar by means of relative invariance of affine subgroups. After providing some interesting examples
of multiplier operators having “large symmetry”, we classify which of these examples can be extended to continuous operators

The parabolic Bergman space is a Banach space of L
p
-solutions of some parabolic equations on the upper half-space H. We study interpolating theorem for these spaces. It is shown that if a sequence in H is δ-separated with δ sufficiently near 1, then it interpolates on parabolic Bergman spaces.

We propose an SQP-type algorithm for solving nonlinear second-order cone programming (NSOCP) problems. At every iteration,
the algorithm solves a convex SOCP subproblem in which the constraints involve linear approximations of the constraint functions
in the original problem and the objective function is a convex quadratic function. Those subproblems can be transformed into
linear SOCP problems, for which efficient interior point solvers are available. We establish global convergence and local
quadratic convergence of the algorithm under appropriate assumptions. We report numerical results to examine the effectiveness
of the algorithm.

In the core of the seminal Graph Minor Theory of Robertson and Seymour lies a powerful theorem capturing the ``rough' structure
of graphs excluding a fixed minor. This result was used to prove Wagner's Conjecture that finite graphs are well-quasi-ordered
under the graph minor relation. Recently, a number of beautiful results that use this structural result have appeared. Some
of these along with some other recent advances on graph minors are surveyed.
