We reported the Ho:YAP laser pumped by the Tm:YAP laser. The Ho:YAP laser maximum output power was 4.91 W when the incident power was 10.1 W with the threshold of 2.63 W. The slope efficiency was 63.7%, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of 48.6%. The Ho:YAP output wavelength was centered at 2118.2 nm with bandwidth of about 1 nm. We estimate the beam quality to be M2 = 1.29.  相似文献

This paper presents CW and acoustic-optical Q-switched Tm,Ho:YLF laser performance in a laser-diode end-pumping figure-eight ring resonator structure at 77 K. Under CW operation, different transmission of output couplers and different cavity length were used to achieve best characteristics of the laser. The maximum power of 1.85 W is achieved with the threshold of 2.09 W, slope efficiency of 28.14% and optical-to-optical efficiency of 20.3% on the condition of 1 m cavity length and 18% transmission. Under pump power of 4 W, laser characteristics under Q-switched operation with different pulse repeat frequency was investigated. Maximum energy of 5.86 mJ is achieved with pulse width of 171.2 ns, peak power of 34.2 kW and dynamic-static ratio about Q-switch laser of 0.62 at pulse repeat frequency 70 Hz.  相似文献

We demonstrated continuous-wave (CW) and Q-switched operation of a room-temperature Ho:YAP ring laser that is resonantly end-pumped by a diode-pumped Tm:YLF laser at 1.91 ??m. Continuous wave output power of 3 W at 2119 nm is obtained under the absorbed pump power of 10.17 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 60%. For the Q-switched regime the maximum pulse energy of 1.58 mJ and the minimum pulse width of 590 ns at the repetition rate of 1 kHz are achieved.  相似文献

A diode-side-pumped Tm,Ho:LuLiF laser at 2-m wavelength obtained in a ring resonator and its amplification experiment are reported. At the maximum pump energy of 4.7 J available for the oscillator,the output energy per pulse for the oscillator decreases from 904 to 483 mJ in free running mode,and decreases from 106 to 68 mJ in Q-switched mode,with an increase of pump pulse repetition rate from 1 to 5 Hz. When considering the amplifier,99-mJ Q-switched output energy is achieved at 5-Hz repetition rate.  相似文献

Diode side pumped and acousto-optical (AO) Q-switched Tm, Ho, LuLiF laser at 2 μm wavelength obtained in a ring resonator is reported in this paper. The three LDAs were placed 120° apart around the laser rod of ?4 × 20 mm dimension. A ring resonator has been used for its At free run mode, four different output loss ouplers has been tried. When the output loss is 20%, 103 mJ per pulse at 1 Hz pulse repetition frequency has been obtained with the optical to optical energy conversion efficiency of 3.17%. At the Q-switched mode, the laser pulse energy is 30 mJ with the pulse width of 417 ns. The optical to optical energy conversion efficiency is 0.93%. The slope efficiency is 6.36 and 2.90% under the two running mode, respectively.  相似文献

We report the continuous wave and acousto-optically Q-switched operation of an in-band dual-end-pumped Ho:YAP laser at room temperature. A continuous wave output power of 11.0W at 2118 nm was obtained at an absorbed pump power of 19.8 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 62.1%. For the Q-switched mode, a maximum pulse energy of about 1.07 mJ and a minimum pulse width of 29 ns at a repetition rate of 10 kHz were achieved, resulting in a peak power of 36.9 kW.  相似文献

We reported on a diode end-pumped AO Q-switched Tm:YAP laser at 1937 nm. The average output power was 3.9 W, with a slope efficiency of 29.4% and optical-optical conversion efficiency of 21.6% at a 5-kHz repetition rate. Single-frequency operation in the range of 2102.45-2102.54 nm and 2130.72-2130.82 nm is demonstrated from a Tm,Ho:YAP laser at room temperature. To our knowledge, this is the first time a room temperature single-frequency Tm,Ho:YAP laser of up to 72.6 mW at 2102.5 nm with Fabry-Perot etalons has been obtained. Regulating the elevation angle of the two etalons, 42.0 mW at 2130.8 nm was obtained. The single-longitudinal-mode laser can be used as a seed laser for coherent wind measurements and differential absorption lidar systems.  相似文献

At liquid-nitrogen temperature, at 10-kHz pulse repetition rate, Q-switched 36-ns pulses with average output power of 4 W at 2.05 μm and 4.5-W continuous wave output power with a total optical-optical conversion efficiency of 30%, were achieved from a 6% Tm, 0.5% Ho:YLiF4 laser. This laser was endpumped by a fiber-coupled laser diode emitting up to 15 W around 792 nm. The 1-m-long optical fiber carrying the pump radiation has a core diameter of 700 μm with a numerical aperture of 0.22.  相似文献

A diode end-pumped single-frequency Tm,Ho:YAP laser at room temperature was reported. We obtain a single frequency Tm,Ho:YAP laser of up to 31 mW with Fabry-Perot etalons in the cavity at 2130.8 nm. The optical conversion efficiency is 1.0% and the slope efficiency is 6.3%. The measured full width at half maximum (FWHM) is approximately 65 pm. The single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) laser can be used as a seed laser for coherent wind measurements and differential absorption LIDAR systems.  相似文献

We have investigated acoustic-optical Q-switched Tm,Ho:YLF laser end-pumped by a laser-diode. At room temperature, a 2.067 μm wavelength pulsed output is realized. Average output power, single pulse energy and pulse-width are measured at different incident pump powers and pulse repetition frequencies. When the incident pump power is 2.8 W, a maximum average output power of 189 mW is obtained at the repetition frequency of 9 kHz, and this corresponds to an optical conversion efficiency of 6.8%. The maximum single pulse energy of 65μJ, the shortest pulse-width with full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 138 ns and the maximum peak power of 470 W are obtained at the pulse repetition frequency of 1 kHz.  相似文献

A single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) operation of a c-cut 1 mm Tm(5%), Ho(0.3%):YAP micro-chip laser pumped by a fiber-coupled diode-laser was reported. Under cryogenic temperature, the output power of 216 mW was obtained under the incident power of 2230 mW, corresponding to the slope efficiency was 13.6%. As much as 133 mW output and slope efficiency of 4.9% was obtained under the pump power of 3000 mW at 291 K. In addition, a maximum SLM output power of 30 mW at wavelength of 2130.56 nm is demonstrated under 77 K.  相似文献

A flash lamp pumped 2.09 μm Cr, Tm, Ho:YAG laser utilizing a self-grown La(3)Ga(5)SiO(14) crystal as the electro-optic Q-switch generator is proposed and demonstrated for the first time. Operating at 3 Hz repetition rate, 520 mJ pulse energy with 35 ns pulse width is achieved by optimizing the Q-switch delay time and compensating for the thermal depolarization with a quarter-wave plate. The corresponding peak power is 14.86 MW, and the Q-switched-to-normal-mode energy extraction efficiency is 66.3%. To our knowledge, this Q-switched giant pulse is the best result reported to date in 2.09 μm laser resonator.  相似文献

For the Q-switched mode, a maximum pulse energy of 1.28 mJ and a minimum pulse width of 31 ns at the repetition rate of 5 kHz were achieved, resulting in a peak power of 41.3 kW. In addition, the Ho:YAP laser was employed as a pumping source of ZGP optical parametric oscillator, the total average output power of which was 3.2 W at 4.08 and 4.41 μm with a slope efficiency of 69.5%, corresponding to the diode-to-mid-IR conversion efficiency of 9.0%.  相似文献

报道了一个高效率连续波和调Q高重频两种运行方式的Tm,HoGdVO4激光器.Tm,HoGdVO4晶体尺寸4 mm×4 mm×7 mm,a轴通光,液氮制冷到100 K,由发射中心波长为793 nm的光纤耦合激光二极管端面泵浦.Tm,HoGdVO4激光连续波输出功率4.0 W,光光转换效率26%.声光调Q条件下输出平均高功率3.9 W,脉冲重复频率10 kHz,脉冲宽度50 ns. 通过减小声光Q开关的开启时间,激光脉冲宽度由50 ns减小至23 ns.在10 kHz重频下,测量最大脉冲能量0.39 mJ , 峰值功率7.8 kW.  相似文献

We demonstrated a 1.91 μm pumped, injection-seeded Q-switched Ho:YAG laser operating at room temperature. By inserting two Fabry-Perot etalons into the laser cavity, single-frequency Tm, Ho:YAG seed lasing was achieved at a wavelength of 2090.9 nm, with a typical output power of 60 mW. Single-frequency, nearly transform-limited Q-switched operation of the Ho:YAG laser was achieved by injection seeding. The output energy of the single-frequency Q-switched pulse is 7.6 mJ, with a pulse width of 132 ns and a repetition rate of 100 Hz. We measured the pulse spectrum, half-width of which was 3.5 MHz, by a heterodyne technique.  相似文献

We reported the Q-switched Ho:YAlO3 laser with a volume Bragg grating pumped by the Tm doped fiber laser. The Ho:YAP laser maximum output energy was 1.04 mJ under the repetition frequency of 5 kHz when the incident power was 12.49 W with the threshold of 2.38 W. The Ho:YAP output wavelength was centered at 2117.9 nm with bandwidth of about 0.3 nm. The pulse width is 23.9 ns.  相似文献

A diode end-pumped single-frequency Tm, Ho:YAP laser at room temperature was reported. We demonstrated a single-frequency Tm, Ho:YAP laser at 2118.09 nm wavelength with output power up to 57 mW using two Fabry-Perot intracavity etalons. The optical conversion efficiency is 2.0% and the slope efficiency is 12.7%. The measured full width at half maximum linewidth was <7.5 pm limited by the resolution of the scanning Fabry-Perot etalon used to make the measurement. The wavelength was demonstrated to be stable to about 2 pm over 40 s time periods limited by the temperature stability of the laser. The single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) laser can be used as a seed laser for coherent wind measurements and differential absorption LIDAR systems.  相似文献

We presented a passively Q-switched(PQS) diode-pumped c-cut Tm, Ho:LuVO_4 laser with a black phosphorus saturable absorber for the first time.Under PQS mode, an average output power of 0.86 W and a peak power of 2.32 W were acquired from the Tm, Ho:LuVO_4 laser with the pump power of 14.55 W, corresponding to a pulse width of 2.89 μs,a pulse repetition rate of 71.84 kHz, and a pulse energy of about 6.70 μJ.  相似文献
