研究了一种混合掺铒/铒镱共掺光纤放大器,用掺铒光纤放大器作为输入信号的预放大器,用铒镱共掺双包层光纤放大器作为主放大器。掺铒光纤放大器采用20m长掺铒光纤作为增益介质,采用最大输出功率318mW的单模半导体激光器二极管作为泵浦源,预放大器获得的最大输出功率是113mW。铒镱共掺光纤放大器采用14m长铒镱共掺双包层光纤作为增益介质,采用2个915nm多模半导体激光二极管作为泵浦源,在输入信号功率为10mW、信号波长1555nm时,混合光纤放大器获得了最大输出功率为32.04dBm,即1.6W,与此相应的混合光纤放大器的光-光转换效率为18.5%。  相似文献

设计了一种基于受激布里渊散射和掺铒光纤混合增益的随机光纤激光器,该激光器选用两段长为20km的单模光纤组成全开放腔结构,利用单模光纤的瑞利散射提供随机光反馈.研究表明,固定布里渊泵浦波长和泵浦功率分别为1 550.00nm和2.19mW时,增加掺铒光纤泵浦功率,可以实现两个波长的随机激光输出,一阶和二阶受激布里渊散射光与布里渊泵浦光波长间隔分别约为0.088nm和0.174nm,产生一阶和二阶受激布里渊散射对应的掺铒光纤泵浦功率分别为190mW和370mW;当掺铒光纤泵浦功率为433mW时,激光器两端的最大输出功率为1.60mW和1.68mW.当掺铒光纤泵浦功率明显高于阈值功率时,获得的一阶和二阶随机激光输出稳定,3dB线宽约为0.022nm,峰值强度和位置基本不随时间而变化.  相似文献

在光敏性掺铒光纤上制作了45mm长非对称相移结构光纤光栅,构成前后向功率输出比大于100∶1的分布反馈光纤激光器.利用一定长度的掺铒光纤吸收有源相移光栅后的剩余泵浦光,实现了对前向输出激光信号的放大,并采用OptiSystem软件模拟了掺铒光纤长度与增益的关系.为了保持输出激光的窄线宽和低噪音特性,利用布喇格波长与激光相同的光纤光栅和光纤环行器构成光窄带滤波器,对放大后激光信号的ASE噪音进行滤除.研究表明:所设计的激光器结构充分利用了泵浦光,在300mW的(980nm)泵浦功率下获得了功率为32.5mW,线宽为11.5kHz,相对强度噪音为-87dB/Hz的激光输出.  相似文献

用sol-gel法加工掺铒微环芯腔,得到品质因数高、模式体积小、非线性阈值低等优良光学特性的掺铒微环芯腔激光器.在精密三维调节-二维监控实验平台上对掺铒微环芯腔进行光纤锥倏逝场近场耦合实验.通过对耦合程度和泵浦源激光输入功率的调节,得微环芯腔的品质因数Q超过107.当泵浦源激光波长为1 444.44nm时,微环芯腔输出波长为1 450.54nm的激光,最大输出功率为3.00μW,泵浦源输入功率的最低阈值为10.5mW.  相似文献

为了实现高平坦的自发辐射输出,提出并设计了一种基于974nm泵浦源和高掺杂浓度掺铒光纤的平坦宽带光源。系统以泵浦波长974nm的激光二极管作为泵浦源,先将泵浦光分为两路对掺铒光纤分级泵浦,再将铒离子产生的自发辐射光合并输出,并调节铒纤长度和泵浦功率对输出光谱进行优化。仿真结果表明:泵浦功率为160mW,两段掺铒光纤长度分别为7m和2m时,可以在1530~1610nm得到带宽为80nm,功率为20.348mW,平坦度为±1.268dB的光谱输出。该系统在不额外增加滤波器且光纤总长小于10m的前提下,实现平坦宽带输出,有望在光纤传感系统中得到应用。  相似文献

设计了一种由类噪声脉冲抽运的全光纤结构平坦超连续谱光源。在色散管理掺铒光纤激光器中通过调节腔内偏振态,在泵浦功率为450 mW时,实现了稳定的类噪声脉冲锁模,锁模脉冲的中心波长为1 600 nm,脉冲宽度为303 fs。在最大泵浦功率为1 W时,谐振腔直接输出功率为8.6 mW。较低的功率无法有效拓展超连续谱宽度,为此设计一种掺铒光纤放大器进行功率放大,放大器最大输出功率为338 mW,将功率放大后的类噪声脉冲耦合进高非线性光纤以产生超连续谱,超连续谱的20 dB光谱范围为1 530 nm~2 300 nm,在1 736 nm~2 134 nm范围内,光谱的平坦度优于0.5 dB。  相似文献

为了改进传统掺铒光纤超荧光光源的输出稳定性,提出基于掺铒光子晶体光纤的超荧光光源。构建了单程后向结构掺铒光子晶体光纤超荧光光源,研究了这种新型光源的输出特性。分析了掺铒光子晶平均波长体光纤长度和抽运功率对光源输出功率、光谱谱宽和平均波长的影响。结果表明,通过优化选取光纤长度28m和抽运功率220mW,获得了单程后向结构超荧光光源输出如下:输出功率45.74mW、光-光转换效率20.79%、谱宽31.5nm和平均波长1548.003nm。该实验结果为进一步研究掺铒光子晶体光纤超荧光光源在不同环境下的稳定性奠定了基础。  相似文献

设计了一种低开关功率的全光开关.将掺铒光纤和微结构光纤引入Sagnac环镜中,信号光在泵浦光作用下经过掺铒光纤被放大,破坏了环镜的平衡,利用交叉相位调制效应使两束反向传输的信号光产生非线性相移,实现了光开关效应.理论分析表明:信号光经过掺铒光纤后,增益越大微结构光纤的非线性系数越高,开关功率越低,并且环镜信号光的透射率随两束反向传输信号光的相移差成余弦变化.仿真得到开关功率约为26.73 mW,与理论分析一致.  相似文献

We report a low-threshold continuous-wave Tm:YAG laser that can be excited near 785?nm with low-cost, single-mode AlGaAs laser diodes. Low-threshold operation was achieved using a tightly focused, astigmatically compensated x-cavity containing a 2-mm-thick Tm:YAG crystal with 5?% Tm3+ concentration. Two linearly polarized single-mode diodes operating at 785.8?nm were polarization coupled to end pump the resonator. With a 6?% output coupler, as high as 32?mW of output power could be obtained at 2016?nm with 184?mW of incident pump power. The output could be further tuned in the 1935?C2035?nm range. Slope efficiency measurements indicated that cross-relaxation was very effective at this doping level. With a 2?% output coupler, lasing could be obtained with as low as 32.3?mW of pump power. In the limit of vanishing output coupling, the incident threshold pump power could be reduced to as low as 25?mW. To our knowledge, this is among the lowest lasing thresholds reported to date for continuous-wave, room-temperature thulium lasers.  相似文献

The effect of output coupler reflectivity (or output coupling ratio) on the performance of a linear cavity Brillouin/erbium fiber laser (BEFL) is demonstrated. The operating wavelength, output laser power and number of channels vary with changes in the coupling ratio in the linear cavity system. The optimum BEFL operation is obtained with an output coupling of 40%, i.e., 60% of the laser power is allowed to oscillate in the cavity. A stable laser comb consisting of up to 40 channels with line spacings of approximately 0.09 nm are obtained at the Brillouin pump and 980 nm pump with powers of 2.5 mW and 100 mW, respectively. The linear cavity BEFL has the potential to be used in inexpensive wavelength division multiplexing system.   相似文献

A simple Erbium Doped Fiber Laser (EDFL) in linear cavity configuration is reported. The cavity design is based on an FBG as a back reflector, and a loop back optical circulator with an output coupler as the front reflector. Different coupling ratios of the coupler are tested and 50: 50 provides the highest coupling output power of 22.06 dBm (160.7 mW). The pump power conversion efficiency is about 95% when pumping with two pump lasers at 1460 and 1490 nm with combined pumping power of 545 mW. The laser output has a measured linewidth of 0.0179 nm.  相似文献

Fabrication and laser operation of proton-implanted Ti:sapphire buried channel waveguides is reported for the first time to our knowledge. Without any postimplantation annealing of the structures, continuous laser operation near 780 nm was demonstrated at room temperature at an absorbed pump power threshold of 230 mW. Single-transverse-mode laser emission was observed with measured beam propagation factors M(2)(x) and M(2)(y) of 1.5 and 1.2, respectively. An output power of 12.4 mW for 1 W pump power was obtained with an output coupler of 4.6% transmission at the signal wavelength. Higher output powers were measured in waveguides with larger cross sections exhibiting multimode laser emission.  相似文献

采用非临界相位匹配切割,尺寸5mm×5mm×20mm的KTA作为非线性光学晶体,进行了基于半导体激光端面抽运Nd:YLF/KTA的内腔式连续光学参量振荡激光研究,获得了中红外3.5μm波段的连续激光输出。为了提高连续光参量振荡腔内信号光的功率密度,降低激光输出阈值,采用对信号光高反射的单谐振腔结构进行激光实验。在8.35W的抽运功率下,分别获得了335mW和110mW的3440nm和1505nm的激光输出,对应的总转换效率达到了5.6%。该实验研究表明半导体激光端面抽运的内腔式KTA连续光学参量振荡也能获得高效的中红外激光输出。  相似文献

Passively Q-switched laser oscillation at 1060 nm from an unprocessed Nd:LaB3O6 cleavage microchip with a Cr4+:YAG saturable absorber has been demonstrated. The influence of absorbed pump power, output coupler transmission and cavity length on the output pulse characteristics has been investigated. For a plano-concave cavity with a cavity length of 28 mm, pulse with 100 mW average output power, 4.0 μJ energy, 17 ns duration, 25 kHz repetition rate, and 0.24 kW, peak power was obtained at the absorbed pump power of 1.42 W and output coupler transmission of 3.5%. For a plano-plano cavity with a cavity length of 5 mm, pulse with 85 mW average output power, 2.1 μJ energy, 2.3 ns duration, 40 kHz repetition rate, and 0.89 kW, peak power was obtained at the absorbed pump power of 1.42 W and output coupler transmission of 5.6%. Because a chopper with a 5% duty cycle was employed in the experiments to reduce the influence of pump-induced thermal loading, the above average output powers were obtained at the 5% duty cycle and extrapolated to 100%.PACS 42.55.Rz; 42.60.Gd; 42.70.Hj  相似文献

In this paper, an all optical switch based on nonlinear photonic crystal directional coupler has been simulated and analyzed by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The lunched pump signal increases the refractive indices of the central row of the coupler, due to nonlinear Kerr effect, hence the coupler works in the nonlinear conditions and lightwave guides to the other output port. We have tried to increase the coupling efficiency and reduce the required power in the nonlinear status by optimizing the bends structure and increasing the interaction between dielectric and lightwave signal. Therefore, the input signal beam can be controlled to be exchanged between two output ports to earn the highest output power ratio and the smallest amount of power required for nonlinear performance, the physical length of the coupler is determined to be 20a, where a is the structure lattice constant.  相似文献

射频强度调制激光作为激光雷达系统的载波可以有效提高系统的抗干扰和抗散射能力,高功率宽带射频强度调制光源是实现高分辨率远距离探测的关键.本文采用在Nd:YAG激光器的耦合腔中插入一对四分之一波片的方法实现了频差调谐范围为30 MHz—1.5 GHz的双频激光输出,结合光纤振荡功率放大技术,将双频信号光功率放大为50 W.耦合腔双频种子源具有良好的功率和频率稳定性,输出功率为9.5 mW时,功率标准差为0.145 mW,稳定性为1.52%,输出双频激光的频差为250 MHz时,拍频的标准差为1.6144 MHz.种子光进行三级光纤功率放大,得到50 W双频激光输出.放大后的双频激光功率波动范围小于0.1 W,双频拍频的标准差为1.777 MHz,很好地保持了放大之前的功率稳定性和双频频差稳定性.  相似文献

首先从掺铥光纤激光器的速率方程和光传输方程出发,建立数学模型,通过Matlab软件进行数值计算,分析了泵浦光和激光沿光纤的分布以及各能级离子数的变化.在不同掺杂浓度下,研究了小信号增益与入纤泵浦功率的关系以及泵浦光和激光功率与增益介质长度的关系.在不同泵浦功率下,研究了输出功率与输出耦合镜反射率的关系.进一步对不同泵浦吸收系数,研究了斜率效率和泵浦阈值与光纤长度的关系.分析结果表明存在最佳光纤长度和最佳耦合输出透过率,使得激光输出功率达到最佳值.  相似文献

采用角度磨抛的方式, 在纤芯/包层为20/400 μm双包层掺Yb光纤上制作了侧面抽运耦合器. 该耦合器对975 nm的半导体二极管抽运光的耦合效率最高可达97%, 对1080 nm信号光的泄漏比小于2%. 分析了侧面抽运耦合器的性能以及多个侧面抽运耦合器的级联分布对抽运耦合效率的影响; 同时, 在前向抽运和双向抽运方式下, 分析了级联耦合器的分布及信号光泄漏比对激光器整体效率的影响, 并进行了数值模拟. 采用自行研制的侧面抽运耦合器, 搭建了侧面耦合分布式抽运、掺Yb双包层全光纤主振荡功率放大器, 获得了波长为1080 nm、功率为303 W 的基模激光输出. 进一步增加抽运点个数, 提高抽运功率, 可获得更高的输出功率.  相似文献
