The thermal properties of {tetra-n-butylammonium bromide + tetra-n-butylammonium chloride (TBAB + TBAC)} mixed semiclathrate hydrates prepared from aqueous solutions were investigated by dissociation temperature measurements and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The maximum dissociation temperature of the mixed hydrate crystals at 0.1 MPa is 288.5 K for xTBAB = 0.2 {mole fraction of TBAB to (TBAB + TBAC)}, which is higher than that of the pure hydrates {T = (285.5 and 288.2) K for TBAB and TBAC hydrates, respectively}. In addition, the dissociation enthalpies of the mixed hydrates are higher than those of the pure hydrates {(5.55 ± 0.06) kJ  mol−1 H2O for pure TBAB hydrate and (5.30 ± 0.05) kJ  mol−1 H2O for pure TBAC hydrate}, with a maximum of (5.95 ± 0.12) kJ  mol−1 H2O recorded at approximately xTBAB = 0.4. It was therefore suggested that the crystal distortion in (TBAB + TBAC) mixed hydrates, caused by replacing water molecules by both bromide and chloride anions, was smaller than that observed for each pure hydrate. Consequently, the hydration numbers in the mixed hydrates were hypothesized to be slightly higher than those of the pure hydrates.  相似文献

The partitioning of four dinitrophenylated (DNP-) amino acids in aqueous two-phase systems of (polyethylene glycol (PEG)-8000 + sodium sulfate) and (polyethylene glycol (PEG)-8000 + magnesium sulfate) in five different tie-lines was experimentally determined at T = 298.15 K. The Gibbs energy of transfer of a methylene group between the two phases was calculated from the measured partition coefficients. This characterizes the relative hydrophobicity of the equilibrium phases. Values of ΔG1(CH2) were in range from (−0.674 to −1.012) kJ · mol−1. A comparison of both systems was carried out. The results show that the cation type has a strong influence on the amino acids partitioning process. The largest relative hydrophobicity was noted for the ATPS system formed by sodium sulfate. This showed to be a better system for the separation.  相似文献

Isothermal (vapour + liquid) equilibria (VLE) at 313.15 K have been measured for liquid 1-propanol + dibromomethane, or + bromochloromethane or + 1,2-dichloroethane or + 1-bromo-2-chloroethane mixtures. The VLE data were reduced using the Redlich–Kister equation taking into consideration the vapour phase imperfection in terms of the 2nd molar virial coefficients. The excess molar Gibbs free energies of all the studied mixtures are positive and ranging from 794 J · mol−1 for (1-propanol + bromochloromethane) and 1052 J · mol−1 for (1-propanol + 1-bromo-2-chloroethane), at x = 0.5. The experimental results are compared with modified UNIFAC predictions.  相似文献

The water activities of aqueous electrolyte mixture (NaCl + KCl + LiCl + H2O) were experimentally determined at T = 298.15 K by the hygrometric method at total ionic-strength from 0.4 mol · kg−1 to 6 mol · kg−1 for different ionic-strength fractions y of NaCl with y = 1/3, 1/2, and 2/3. The data allow the deduction of new osmotic coefficients. The results obtained were correlated by Pitzer’s model and Dinane’s mixing rules ECA I and ECA II for calculations of the water activity in mixed aqueous electrolytes. A new Dinane–Pitzer model is proposed for the calculation of osmotic coefficients in quaternary aqueous mixtures using the newly ternary and quaternary ionic mixing parameters of this studied system. The solute activity coefficients of component in the mixture are also determined for different ionic-strength fractions y of NaCl.  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium tie-lines were measured for one ternary system {x1H2O + x2(CH3)2CHOH + (1  x1  x2)CH3C(CH3)2OCH3} and one quaternary system {x1H2O + x2(CH3)2CHOH + x3CH3C(CH3)2OCH3 + (1  x1  x2  x3)(CH3)2CHOCH(CH3)2} at T = 298.15 K and P = 101.3 kPa. The experimental (liquid + liquid) equilibrium results were satisfactorily correlated by modified and extended UNIQUAC models both with ternary and quaternary parameters in addition to binary ones.  相似文献

The solubility measurements of sodium dicarboxylate salts; sodium oxalate, malonate, succinate, glutarate, and adipate in water at temperatures from (278.15 to 358.15 K) were determined. The molar enthalpies of solution at T = 298.15 K were derived: ΔsolHm (m = 2.11 mol · kg?1) = 13.86 kJ · mol?1 for sodium oxalate; ΔsolHm (m = 3.99 mol · kg?1) = 14.83 kJ · mol?1 for sodium malonate; ΔsolHm (m = 2.45 mol · kg?1) = 14.83 kJ · mol?1 for sodium succinate; ΔsolHm (m = 4.53 mol · kg?1) = 16.55 kJ · mol?1 for sodium glutarate, and ΔsolHm (m = 3.52 mol · kg?1) = 15.70 kJ · mol?1 for sodium adipate. The solubility value exhibits a prominent odd–even effect with respect to terms with odd number of sodium dicarboxylate carbon numbers showing much higher solubility. This odd–even effect may have implications for the relative abundance of these compounds in industrial applications and also in the atmospheric aerosols.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is modeling of the quaternary system of mixed NaCl + KCl electrolyte in mixed CH3OH + H2O solvent, with different alcohol mass fractions by using particularly, the Pitzer (P) and Pitzer–Esteso (PE) equations and based on potentiometric measurement technique. The experimental data are obtained by different molal salt ratio r (r = mNaCl/mKCl = 100, 150, 200 and 250) in mixed solvent with different alcohol mass fractions x (x = 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, 0.40, and 0.50) in water. A galvanic cell is employed for collecting the potentiometric data by combining a Na+ glass membrane and Ag/AgCl electrodes and using different series of electrolyte solutions, at defined constant ionic strengths, with the molality ranging from 0.0005 up to 3.5 mol · kg−1, at T = 298.15 ± 0.05 K of experiments. Comparison of the models shows that the modified Pitzer equation by Esteso (PE) present a better fit of the experimental data.  相似文献

A flow mixing calorimeter followed by a vibrating-tube densimeter has been used to measure excess molar enthalpies HmE and excess molar volumesVmE of {xC3H8 +  (1   x)SF6}. Measurements over a range of mole fractionsx have been made at the pressure p =  4.30 MPa at eight temperatures in the rangeT =  314.56 K to 373.91 K, in the liquid region at p =  3.75 MPa andT =  314.56 K, in the two phase region at p =  3.91 MPa andT =  328.18 K, and in the supercritical region at p =  5.0 MPa andT =  373.95 K. The measurements are compared with results from the Patel–Teja equation of state which reproduces the main features of the excess function curves as well as it does for similar measurements on{xCO2 +  (1   x)C2H6} ,{xCO2 +  (1   x)C2H4} and{xCO2 +  (1   x)SF6} reported previously.  相似文献

The excess molar enthalpies of (benzonitrile  +  benzene, or methylbenzene, or 1,2-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3-dimethylbenzene, or 1,4-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, or ethylbenzene) have been determined at T =  298.15 K. The excess molar enthalpies range from   10 J · mol  1for methylbenzene to 130 J · mol  1for 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene. The Redlich–Kister equation, the NRTL, and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the data. The results indicate a relatively strong association between benzonitrile and each of the aromatic compounds, decreasing with increasing methyl substitution on the benzene moiety.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies HmEand excess molar volumesVmE of (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone  +  benzene, or methylbenzene, or 1,2-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3-dimethylbenzene, or 1,4-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, or ethylbenzene) over the whole range of compositions have been measured at T =  298.15 K. The excess molar enthalpy values were positive for five of the seven systems studied and the excess molar volume values were negative for six of the seven systems studied. The excess enthalpy ranged from a maximum of 435 J · mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  1,3,5-trimethylbenzene) to a minimum of   308 J · mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  benzene). The excess molar volume values ranged from a maximum of 0.95cm3mol  1 for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  ethylbenzene) and a minimum of   1.41 cm3mol  1for (1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline  +  methylbenzene). The Redlich–Kister polynomial was used to correlate both the excess molar enthalpy and the excess molar volume data and the NRTL and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the enthalpy of mixing data. The NRTL equation was found to be more suitable than the UNIQUAC equation for these systems. The results are discussed in terms of the polarizability of the aromatic compound and the effect of methyl substituents on the benzene ring.  相似文献

The speed of sound in {(1  x)CH4 + xN2} has been measured with a spherical acoustic resonator. Two mixtures with x = (0.10001 and 0.19999) were studied along isotherms at temperatures between 220 K and 400 K with pressures up to 20 MPa; a few additional measurements at p = (25 and 30) MPa are also reported. A third mixture with x = 0.5422 was studied along pseudo-isochores at amount-of-substance densities between 0.2 mol · dm−3 and 5 mol · dm−3. Corrections for molecular vibrational relaxation are discussed in detail and relaxation times are reported. The overall uncertainty of the measured speeds of sound is estimated to be not worse than ±0.02%, except for those measurements in the mixture with x = 0.5422 that lie along the pseduo-isochore at the highest amount-of-substance density. The results have been compared with the predictions of several equations of state used for natural gas systems.  相似文献

Density, viscosity, refractive index, and heat of mixing measurements for {x1 1-butanol + (1 ? x1) 2-butanone} at T = 303 K were made over the whole concentration range. Data of the binary mixture were further used to calculate the viscosity and refractive index deviations, and excess molar enthalpy. The excess or deviation properties were fitted with the Redlich–Kister polynomial relation to obtain their coefficients and standard deviations. The construction of an adiabatic calorimeter useful in the neighbourhood of room temperature is described. Its performance was checked by measuring the heat of mixing for {x1 benzene + (1 ? x1) cyclohexane} over the whole concentration range at T = 298 K. Experimental results are within a standard deviation of 9 J · mol?1 of the accepted literature values.  相似文献

The thermodynamic properties ofZn5(OH)6(CO3)2 , hydrozincite, have been determined by performing solubility and d.s.c. measurements. The solubility constant in aqueous NaClO4media has been measured at temperatures ranging from 288.15 K to 338.15 K at constant ionic strength (I =  1.00 mol · kg  1). Additionally, the dependence of the solubility constant on the ionic strength has been investigated up to I =  3.00 mol · kg  1NaClO4at T =  298.15 K. The standard molar heat capacity Cp, mofunction fromT =  318.15 K to T =  418.15 K, as well as the heat of decomposition of hydrozincite, have been obtained from d.s.c. measurements. All experimental results have been simultaneously evaluated by means of the optimization routine of ChemSage yielding an internally consistent set of thermodynamic data (T =  298.15 K): solubility constant log * Kps 00 =  (9.0  ±  0.1), standard molar Gibbs energy of formationΔfGmo {Zn5(OH)6(CO3)2 }  =  (  3164.6  ±  3.0)kJ · mol  1, standard molar enthalpy of formation ΔfHmo{Zn5(OH)6(CO3)2 }  =  (  3584  ±  15)kJ · mol  1, standard molar entropy Smo{Zn5(OH)6(CO3)2 }  =  (436  ±  50)J · mol  1· K  1and Cp,mo / (J · mol  1· K  1)  =  (119  ±  11)  +  (0.834  ±  0.033)T / K. A three-dimensional predominance diagram is introduced which allows a comprehensive thermodynamic interpretation of phase relations in(Zn2 +  +  H2O  +  CO2) . The axes of this phase diagram correspond to the potential quantities: temperature, partial pressure of carbon dioxide and pH of the aqueous solution. Moreover, it is shown how the stoichiometric composition{n(CO3) / n(Zn)} of the solid compoundsZnCO3 and Zn5(OH)6(CO3)2can be checked by thermodynamically analysing the measured solubility data.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the rate constant of the inversion substitution reactions CH3X + O2 → CH3O2? + X? (X = SH, NO2), can be expressed as k = 6.8 × 10–12(T/1000)1.49exp(–62816 cal mol–1/RT) cm3 s–1 (X = SH) and k = 6.8 × 10–12(T/1000)1.26 × × exp(–61319 cal mol–1/RT) cm3 s–1 (X = NO2), as found with the use of high-level quantum chemical methods and the transition state theory.  相似文献

A flow mixing calorimeter and a vibrating-tube densimeter have been used to measure excess molar enthalpies HmE and excess molar volumes VmE of {xC2H6 +  (1   x)SF6 }. Measurements over a range of mole fractions x have been made at T =  305.65 K and T =  312.15 K and at the pressures (3.76, 4.32, 4.88 and 6.0) MPa. The pressure 3.76 MPa is close to the critical pressure of SF6, the pressure 4.88 MPa is close to the critical pressure of C2H6, and the pressure 4.32 MPa is midway between these values. The measurements are compared with the Patel–Teja equation of state which reproduces the main features of the excess function curves as well as it does for similar measurements on {xCO2 +  (1   x)C2H6 }, {xCO2 +  (1   x)C2H4 } and {xCO2 +  (1   x)SF6 }.  相似文献

A series of triethylammonium halides (Et3NHCl, Et3NHBr, and Et3NHI) was synthesized. The crystal structures of the three compounds were characterized by X-ray crystallography. The lattice potential energies and ionic radius of the common cation of the three compounds were obtained from crystallographic data. Molar enthalpies of dissolution of the compounds at various values of molality were measured in the double-distilled water at T = 298.150 K by means of an isoperibol solution-reaction calorimeter. According to Pitzer’s theory, the values of molar enthalpies of dissolution at infinite dilution and Pitzer’s parameters of the compounds were obtained. The values of apparent relative molar enthalpies, relative partial molar enthalpies of the solvent and the compounds at different molalities were derived from the experimental values of molar enthalpies of dissolution of the compounds. Finally, hydration enthalpy of the common cation Et3NH+ was calculated to be ΔH+ = ?(150.386 ± 4.071) kJ · mol?1 by designing a thermochemical cycle.  相似文献

Excess molar enthalpies for (acrylonitrile  +  benzene, or methylbenzene, or 1,2-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3-dimethylbenzene, or 1,4-dimethylbenzene, or 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, or ethylbenzene) atT =  298.15 K and p =  101325 Pa are presented. The excess molar enthalpy range from 531J · mol  1at x =  0.5 for 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene to 210J · mol  1at x =  0.5 for toluene. The Redlich–Kister equation, the NRTL and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the data.  相似文献

Calorimetric enthalpies of reaction have been measured for the overall biochemical reaction{pyrophosphate(aq)  +  H2O(l)  =  2phosphate (aq)} . The reaction was catalyzed by alkaline phosphatase and, to simplify the thermochemistry, was carried out in the absence of Mg 2 + (aq). Measurements were performed with phosphate buffer ( pH  =  7.19 and 7.94), PIPES buffer ( pH  =  7.13), and HEPES buffer ( pH  =  7.86). The results of these measurements were analyzed by using an equilibrium model. These calculations lead to the standard molar enthalpy changeΔrHmo =   (17.3  ±  0.6)kJ·mol  1 (temperature T =  298.15 K and ionic strengthI =  0) for the reference reaction{HP2O73  (aq)  +  H2O(l)  =  2HPO42  (aq)  +  H + (aq)} . Values of the apparent equilibrium constantK for the overall biochemical reaction from the literature were also analyzed by using the equilibrium model in order to obtain what is believed to be a reliable value for the equilibrium constantK =  4.7 · 10  4 for the reference reaction. The values ofK and ΔrHmo for the reference reaction have been used together with values from the CODATA tables to calculate standard molar formation properties for the pyrophosphate species.  相似文献

Microcalorimetric measurements of excess enthalpies at the temperature T = 298.15 K are reported for the two ternary mixtures {x1(C4H8O or C5H10O) + x2C5H12O + x3C8H18}. Smooth representations of the results are presented and used to construct constant excess molar enthalpy contours on Roozeboom diagrams. It is shown that good estimates of the ternary enthalpies can be obtained from the Liebermann and Fried model, using only the physical properties of the components and their binary mixtures.  相似文献
