Bestimmung von Quecksilber(II) durch „Inverse Differential-Puls-Polarographie“

Zusammenfassung Die inverse Differential-Puls-Polarographie wurde zur Bestimmung kleinster Quecksilbermengen herangezogen. Bei Verwendung einer wachsimprägnierten Graphitelektrode gelang es, 10 ng Hg/ml zu bestimmen. Mit Hilfe einer Glassy Carbon-Elektrode konnte noch 1 ng/ml erfaßt werden.

Determination of mercury(II) by Differential-Pulse-Anodic-Stripping voltammetry

Summary The Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetry was used for the determination of very small amounts of mercury. The application of a wax-impregnated graphite electrode allowed to determine 10 ng Hg/ml. By means of a glassy carbon electrode it was possible to decrease the limit of detection to 1 ng/ml.

Kinetics of oxidation of Indigo Carmine by potassium peroxydisulfate

The reaction is first order in potassium peroxydisulfate and zero order in Indigo Carmine. Hydrogen ions have no effect on the rate in the acidity range of 0.0–0.2 M. Allyl acetate inhibits the reaction. A radical chain mechanism is proposed.

Die γ-Bestrahlung von synthetischem β-Carotin

Zusammenfassung Das feste -Carotin ist gegen -Strahlung ziemlich stabil. Bei Bestrahlung unter Sauerstoffbegasung treten deutliche -Carotin-Verluste erst bei der hohen Dosis von 12 Mrad auf; bei Bestrahlung an der Luft werden ähnliche Radiolyseerscheinungen erst durch wesentlich höhere Strahlendosen ausgelöst. Spaltungsprodukte, die bei 12 Mrad und Sauerstoffbegasung auftraten und dünnschichtchromatographisch aufgetrennt werden konnten, waren Isozeaxanthin, -Carotin-5,6-5, 6-diepoxid, -Carotin-5,8-5,8-diepoxid, -Apo-12-carotinal, -Apo-10-carotinal, 3,3,6-Trihydroxy--carotin-5,8-epoxid und Vitamin-A-Alkohol. Es ist bemerkenswert, daß ein Teil der Radiolyseprodukte (z. B. Vitamin-A₁-Alkohol, -Apo-12-carotinal und -Apo-10-carotinal) Vitamin-A-Wirksamkeit besitzt.

The -Irradiation of synthetic -carotene. Some physico-chemical and thin-layer chromatographic studies of radiolysis products

Solid -carotene is remarkably stable to -irradiation. In an oxygen atmosphere doses as high as 12 Mrad were required to bring about significant losses of -carotene, whereas in air even larger doses had to be applied in order to effect a comparable degree of radiolysis. Cleavage products which arose in O₂ at a dose of 12 Mrad and which could be separated from each other by thin-layer chromatography were isozeaxanthin, -carotene-5,5-5,6-diepoxide, -apo-12-carotenal, -apo-10-carotenal, 3, 3, 6-trihydroxy--carotene-5,8-epoxide and vitamin A₁. It is notable that some of the radiolysis products (e.g., vitamin A₁, -apo-12-carotenal and -apo-10-carotenal) possess vitamin A activity.

Unusual oxidation reactions of 7α-methyl- and 7α-phenylcholest-5-ene-3β,7β-diol

Summary Ozonation of 7-methyl (or 7-phenyl) cholest-5-ene-3,7-diol 3-TBDMS ether afforded the corresponding 5,6-epoxy derivatives. The same product was formed byMCPBA oxidation. The reaction of 7-phenylcholest-5-ene-3,7-diol with CrO₃ yielded 3,7-dioxo-6,7-seco-7-phenylcholest-4-ene-5-carboxaldehyde. An analogous B-seco aldehyde was obtained from 7-methylcholest-5-ene-3,7-diol in addition to 7-methylcholesta-4,6-dien-3-one.Jones oxidation of 7-phenylcholest-5-ene-3,7-diol or B-seco-aldehyde gave 3,7-dioxo-6,7-seco-7-phenylcholest-4-en-6-oic acid isolated as its methyl ester upon treatment with diazomethane.

Ungewöhnliche Oxidation von 7-Methyl- und 7-Phenylcholest-3-en-3,7-diol

Zusammenfassung Ozonolyse von 7-Methyl- bzw. 7-Phenyl-cholest-3-en-3,7-diol-3-TBDMS-ether ergab die entsprechenden 5,6-Epoxy-Derivate.MCPBA-Oxidation führte zum gleichen Ergebnis. Bei der Reaktion von 7-Phenyl-cholest-5-en-3,7-diol mit CrO₃ wurde 3,7-Dioxo-6,7-seco-7-phenyl-cholest-4-en-5-carbaldehyd gebildet. Einen analogen B-seco-Aldehyd erhält man neben 7-Methyl-cholesta-4,6-dien-3-on auch aus 7-Methyl-cholest-5-en-3,7-diol. DurchJones-Oxidation von 7-Phenyl-cholest-5-en-3,7-diol oder B-seco-Aldehyd erhält man 3,7-Dioxo-6,7-seco-7-phenylcholest-4-en-6-carbonsäure, die nach Behandlung mit Diazomethan als ihr Methylester isoliert wurde.

     

Phthalocyaninartige Bor-Komplexe

Zusammenfassung Aus Halogenboranen und Organohalogenboranen (RBX ₂R=C₆H₅, Cl, Br;X=F, Cl, Br) sowie aus Organoboranen oder Thioboranen entstehen mit Phthalodinitril Triisoindolo-[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8,9a,9b]-hexaazaboraphenalene von denen die B–Cl- und B–F-Verbindungen näher charakterisiert werden.Dekaboran(14), Diboran(6) oder Boranaddukte von Stickstoffbasen liefern hingegen mit Phthalodinitril metallfreies Phthalocyanin.

Triisoindolo[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8,9a,9b]-hexa-azaboraphenalene

Triisoindolo[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8, 9a,9b]-hexaazaboraphenalenes are obtained from the reactions of haloboranes and organohaloboranes (RBX ₂R=C₆H₅, Cl, Br;X=F, Cl, Br) as well as from organoboranes or thioboranes with phthalodinitrile. The B–Cl and B–F compound have been characterized by analyses, i.r.-, u.v.- and mass-spectrometry.Diborane(6), dekaborane(14) and amine-boranes, however, upon reaction with phthalodinitrile lead to high yields of metal free phthalocyanine.
