Almost periodic homogeneous linear difference systems are considered. It is supposed that the coefficient matrices belong to a group. The aim was to find such groups that the systems having no non-trivial almost periodic solution form a dense subset of the set of all considered systems. A closer examination of the used methods reveals that the problem can be treated in such a generality that the entries of coefficient matrices are allowed to belong to any complete metric field. The concepts of transformable and strongly transformable groups of matrices are introduced, and these concepts enable us to derive efficient conditions for determining what matrix groups have the required property.  相似文献

A celebrated result by Favard states that, for certain almost periodic linear differential systems, the existence of a bounded solution implies the existence of an almost periodic solution. A key assumption in this result is the separation among bounded solutions. Here we prove a theorem of anti-Favard type: if there are bounded solutions which are non-separated (in a strong sense) sometimes almost periodic solutions do not exist. Strongly non-separated solutions appear when the associated homogeneous system has homoclinic solutions. This point of view unifies two fascinating examples by Zhikov-Levitan and Johnson for the scalar case. Our construction uses the ideas of Zhikov-Levitan together with the theory of characters in topological groups.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the existence of almost periodic solutions for the Duffing differential equation. By combining the theory of exponential dichotomies with Liapunov functions, we obtain an intersting result on the existence of almost periodic solutions. We characterize the almost periodic hyperfunctions by showing that the following statements are equivalent for any bounded hyperfunction . (i) is almost periodic. (ii) for every . (iii) There are two functions and an infinite order differential operator such that (iv) The Gauss transform of is almost periodic for every 0$">. Here is the space of almost periodic continuous functions, is the Sato space of test functions for the Fourier hyperfunctions, and is the heat kernel. This generalizes the result of Schwartz on almost periodic distributions and that of Cioranescu on almost periodic (non-quasianalytic) ultradistributions to the case of hyperfunctions.

In this paper we study the existence and linear stability of almost periodic solutions for a NLS equation on the circle with external parameters. Starting from the seminal result of Bourgain in [15] on the quintic NLS, we propose a novel approach allowing to prove in a unified framework the persistence of finite and infinite dimensional invariant tori, which are the support of the desired solutions. The persistence result is given through a rather abstract “counter-term theorem” à la Herman, directly in the original elliptic variables without passing to action-angle ones. Our framework allows us to find “many more” almost periodic solutions with respect to the existing literature and consider also non-translation invariant PDEs.  相似文献

This paper discusses the problem of stability and periodic behaviour of linear planar difference systems appearing in modelling of discrete problems of population biology and Hopfield neural networks. We concentrate especially on procedures, which enable to formulate optimal (i.e. necessary and sufficient) conditions guaranteing such a behaviour. As a main tool, we analyse in detail location of zeros of characteristic polynomials with respect to the unit circle. From this viewpoint, derived results contribute also to the polynomial theory.
