Let \(T_n(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_n(\mathbb {F})\) be the semigroups of all upper triangular \(n\times n\) matrices and all upper triangular \(n\times n\) matrices with 0s and/or 1s on the main diagonal over a field \(\mathbb {F}\) with \(\mathsf {char}(\mathbb {F})=0\), respectively. In this paper, we address the finite basis problem for \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) as involution semigroups under the skew transposition. By giving a sufficient condition under which an involution semigroup is nonfinitely based, we show that both \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\) and \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) are nonfinitely based, and that there is a continuum of nonfinitely based involution monoid varieties between the involution monoid variety \(\mathsf {var} UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) generated by \(UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) and the involution monoid variety \(\mathsf {var} T_2(\mathbb {F})\) generated by \(T_2(\mathbb {F})\). Moreover, \(\mathsf {var} UT_2(\mathbb {F})\) cannot be defined within \(\mathsf {var} T_2(\mathbb {F})\) by any finite set of identities.  相似文献

In this work, we recall some properties of the generalized Fock space \(F_k(\mathbb {C})\) and the Hilbert space \(H_k(\mathbb {C})\) (defined by the squared norm \(\Vert f\Vert ^2_{H_k(\mathbb {C})}:=\Vert f\Vert ^2_{F_k(\mathbb {C})}+\langle zf',f\rangle _{F_k(\mathbb {C})}\)). Next, we give the best approximation of the bounded operators \(L:F_k(\mathbb {C})\rightarrow H_k(\mathbb {C})\). As applications, we come up with some results regarding the approximate formulas for the difference operator, the Dunkl difference operator and the primitive operator.  相似文献

Pérez-Izquierdo and Shestakov recently extended the PBW theorem to Malcev algebras. It follows from their construction that for any Malcev algebra M over a field of characteristic ≠ 2, 3 there is a representation of the universal nonassociative enveloping algebra U(M) by linear operators on the polynomial algebra P(M). For the nilpotent non-Lie Malcev algebra \(\mathbb{M}\) of dimension 5, we use this representation to determine explicit structure constants for \(U(\mathbb{M})\); from this it follows that \(U(\mathbb{M})\) is not power-associative. We obtain a finite set of generators for the alternator ideal \(I(\mathbb{M}) \subset U(\mathbb{M})\) and derive structure constants for the universal alternative enveloping algebra \(A(\mathbb{M}) = U(\mathbb{M})/I(\mathbb{M})\), a new infinite dimensional alternative algebra. We verify that the map \(\iota\colon \mathbb{M} \to A(\mathbb{M})\) is injective, and so \(\mathbb{M}\) is special.  相似文献

We extended the known result that symbols from modulation spaces \(M^{\infty ,1}(\mathbb {R}^{2n})\), also known as the Sjöstrand’s class, produce bounded operators in \(L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)\), to general \(L^p\) boundedness at the cost of loss of derivatives. Indeed, we showed that pseudo-differential operators acting from \(L^p\)-Sobolev spaces \(L^p_s(\mathbb {R}^n)\) to \(L^p(\mathbb {R}^n)\) spaces with symbols from the modulation space \(M^{\infty ,1}(\mathbb {R}^{2n})\) are bounded, whenever \(s\ge n|1/p-1/2|.\) This estimate is sharp for all \(1< p<\infty \).  相似文献

Let n and s be integers such that \(1\le s<\frac{n}{2}\), and let \(M_n(\mathbb {K})\) be the ring of all \(n\times n\) matrices over a field \(\mathbb {K}\). Denote by \([\frac{n}{s}]\) the least integer m with \(m\ge \frac{n}{s}\). In this short note, it is proved that if \(g:M_n(\mathbb {K})\rightarrow M_n(\mathbb {K})\) is a map such that \(g\left( \sum _{i=1}^{[\frac{n}{s}]}A_i\right) =\sum _{i=1}^{[\frac{n}{s}]}g(A_i)\) holds for any \([\frac{n}{s}]\) rank-s matrices \(A_1,\ldots ,A_{[\frac{n}{s}]}\in M_n(\mathbb {K})\), then \(g(x)=f(x)+g(0)\), \(x\in M_n(\mathbb {K})\), for some additive map \(f:M_n(\mathbb {K})\rightarrow M_n(\mathbb {K})\). Particularly, g is additive if \(char\mathbb {K}\not \mid \left( [\frac{n}{s}]-1\right) \).  相似文献

Cayley hash functions are based on a simple idea of using a pair of (semi)group elements, A and B, to hash the 0 and 1 bit, respectively, and then to hash an arbitrary bit string in the natural way, by using multiplication of elements in the (semi)group. In this paper, we focus on hashing with \(2 \times 2\) matrices over \(\mathbb {F}_p\). Since there are many known pairs of \(2 \times 2\) matrices over \(\mathbb {Z}\) that generate a free monoid, this yields numerous pairs of matrices over \(\mathbb {F}_p\), for a sufficiently large prime p, that are candidates for collision-resistant hashing. However, this trick has a flip side, and lifting matrix entries to \(\mathbb {Z}\) may facilitate finding a collision. This “lifting attack” was successfully used by Tillich and Zémor in the special case where two matrices A and B generate (as a monoid) the whole monoid \(SL_2(\mathbb {Z}_+)\). However, in this paper we show that the situation with other, “similar”, pairs of matrices from \(SL_2(\mathbb {Z})\) is different, and the “lifting attack” can (in some cases) produce collisions in the group generated by A and B, but not in the positive monoid. Therefore, we argue that for these pairs of matrices, there are no known attacks at this time that would affect security of the corresponding hash functions. We also give explicit lower bounds on the length of collisions for hash functions corresponding to some particular pairs of matrices from \(SL_2(\mathbb {F}_p)\).  相似文献

By using a sequence \(\lambda _{n}>0\), \(n\in \mathbb {N}\) with the property that \(\lambda _{n}\rightarrow 0\) as fast we want, in this paper we obtain the approximation order \(O(\lambda _{n})\) for a generalized Baskakov–Faber operator attached to analytic functions of exponential growth in a continuum \(G\subset \mathbb {C}\). Several concrete examples of continuums G are given for which this operator can explicitly be constructed.  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the well-known result “the predual of Hardy space \(H^1\) is VMO” to the product setting, associated with differential operators. Let \(L_i\), \(i = 1, 2\), be the infinitesimal generators of the analytic semigroups \(\{e^{-tL_i}\}\) on \(L^2({\mathbb {R}})\). Assume that the kernels of the semigroups \(\{e^{-tL_i}\}\) satisfy the Gaussian upper bounds. We introduce the VMO spaces VMO\(_{L_1, L_2}(\mathbb {R}\times \mathbb {R})\) associated with operators \(L_1\) and \(L_2\) on the product domain \(\mathbb {R}\times \mathbb {R}\), then show that the dual space of VMO\(_{L_1, L_2}(\mathbb {R}\times \mathbb {R})\) is the Hardy space \(H^1_{L_1^*, L_2^*}(\mathbb {R}\times \mathbb {R})\) associated with the adjoint operators \(L^*_1\) and \(L^*_2\).  相似文献

In this paper, the large time decay of the magneto-micropolar fluid equations on \(\mathbb {R}^n\) (\( n=2,3\)) is studied. We show, for Leray global solutions, that \( \Vert ({\varvec{u}},{\varvec{w}},{\varvec{b}})(\cdot ,t) \Vert _{{L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)}} \rightarrow 0 \) as \(t \rightarrow \infty \) with arbitrary initial data in \( L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)\). When the vortex viscosity is present, we obtain a (faster) decay for the micro-rotational field: \( \Vert {\varvec{w}}(\cdot ,t) \Vert _{{L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)}} = o(t^{-1/2})\). Some related results are also included.  相似文献

For \(p\in [1,\infty ]\), we establish criteria for the one-sided invertibility of binomial discrete difference operators \({{\mathcal {A}}}=aI-bV\) on the space \(l^p=l^p(\mathbb {Z})\), where \(a,b\in l^\infty \), I is the identity operator and the isometric shift operator V is given on functions \(f\in l^p\) by \((Vf)(n)=f(n+1)\) for all \(n\in \mathbb {Z}\). Applying these criteria, we obtain criteria for the one-sided invertibility of binomial functional operators \(A=aI-bU_\alpha \) on the Lebesgue space \(L^p(\mathbb {R}_+)\) for every \(p\in [1,\infty ]\), where \(a,b\in L^\infty (\mathbb {R}_+)\), \(\alpha \) is an orientation-preserving bi-Lipschitz homeomorphism of \([0,+\infty ]\) onto itself with only two fixed points 0 and \(\infty \), and \(U_\alpha \) is the isometric weighted shift operator on \(L^p(\mathbb {R}_+)\) given by \(U_\alpha f= (\alpha ^\prime )^{1/p}(f\circ \alpha )\). Applications of binomial discrete operators to interpolation theory are given.  相似文献

Let \({\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})}\) denote the cone of discrete Radon measures on \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\). There is a natural differentiation on \(\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\): for a differentiable function \(F:\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\to \mathbb {R}\), one defines its gradient \(\nabla ^{\mathbb {K}}F\) as a vector field which assigns to each \(\eta \in \mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\) an element of a tangent space \(T_{\eta }(\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d}))\) to \(\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\) at point η. Let \(\phi :\mathbb {R}^{d}\times \mathbb {R}^{d}\to \mathbb {R}\) be a potential of pair interaction, and let μ be a corresponding Gibbs perturbation of (the distribution of) a completely random measure on \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\). In particular, μ is a probability measure on \(\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\) such that the set of atoms of a discrete measure \(\eta \in \mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\) is μ-a.s. dense in \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\). We consider the corresponding Dirichlet form
$$\mathcal{E}^{\mathbb{K}}(F,G)={\int}_{\mathbb K(\mathbb{R}^{d})}\langle\nabla^{\mathbb{K}} F(\eta), \nabla^{\mathbb{K}} G(\eta)\rangle_{T_{\eta}(\mathbb{K})}\,d\mu(\eta). $$
Integrating by parts with respect to the measure μ, we explicitly find the generator of this Dirichlet form. By using the theory of Dirichlet forms, we prove the main result of the paper: If d ≥ 2, there exists a conservative diffusion process on \(\mathbb {K}(\mathbb {R}^{d})\) which is properly associated with the Dirichlet form \(\mathcal {E}^{\mathbb {K}}\).

For any \(p\in (0,\,1]\), let \(H^{\Phi _p}(\mathbb {R}^n)\) be the Musielak–Orlicz Hardy space associated with the Musielak–Orlicz growth function \(\Phi _p\), defined by setting, for any \(x\in \mathbb {R}^n\) and \(t\in [0,\,\infty )\),
$$\begin{aligned}&\Phi _{p}(x,\,t)\\&\quad := {\left\{ \begin{array}{ll} \displaystyle \frac{t}{\log {(e+t)}+[t(1+|x|)^n]^{1-p}}&{} \quad \text {when}\ n(1/p-1)\notin \mathbb N \cup \{0\},\\ \displaystyle \frac{t}{\log (e+t)+[t(1+|x|)^n]^{1-p}[\log (e+|x|)]^p}&{} \quad \text {when}\ n(1/p-1)\in \mathbb N\cup \{0\}, \end{array}\right. } \end{aligned}$$
which is the sharp target space of the bilinear decomposition of the product of the Hardy space \(H^p(\mathbb {R}^n)\) and its dual. Moreover, \(H^{\Phi _1}(\mathbb {R}^n)\) is the prototype appearing in the real-variable theory of general Musielak–Orlicz Hardy spaces. In this article, the authors find a new structure of the space \(H^{\Phi _p}(\mathbb {R}^n)\) by showing that, for any \(p\in (0,\,1]\), \(H^{\Phi _p}(\mathbb {R}^n)=H^{\phi _0}(\mathbb {R}^n) +H_{W_p}^p({{{\mathbb {R}}}^n})\) and, for any \(p\in (0,\,1)\), \(H^{\Phi _p}(\mathbb {R}^n)=H^{1}(\mathbb {R}^n) +H_{W_p}^p({{{\mathbb {R}}}^n})\), where \(H^1(\mathbb {R}^n)\) denotes the classical real Hardy space, \(H^{\phi _0}({{{\mathbb {R}}}^n})\) the Orlicz–Hardy space associated with the Orlicz function \(\phi _0(t):=t/\log (e+t)\) for any \(t\in [0,\infty )\), and \(H_{W_p}^p(\mathbb {R}^n)\) the weighted Hardy space associated with certain weight function \(W_p(x)\) that is comparable to \(\Phi _p(x,1)\) for any \(x\in \mathbb {R}^n\). As an application, the authors further establish an interpolation theorem of quasilinear operators based on this new structure.

In this article, we consider the following fractional Hamiltonian systems:
$$\begin{aligned} {_{t}}D_{\infty }^{\alpha }({_{-\infty }}D_{t}^{\alpha }u) + \lambda L(t)u = \nabla W(t, u), \;\;t\in \mathbb {R}, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\alpha \in (1/2, 1)\), \(\lambda >0\) is a parameter, \(L\in C(\mathbb {R}, \mathbb {R}^{n\times n})\) and \(W \in C^{1}(\mathbb {R} \times \mathbb {R}^n, \mathbb {R})\). Unlike most other papers on this problem, we require that L(t) is a positive semi-definite symmetric matrix for all \(t\in \mathbb {R}\), that is, \(L(t) \equiv 0\) is allowed to occur in some finite interval \(\mathbb {I}\) of \(\mathbb {R}\). Under some mild assumptions on W, we establish the existence of nontrivial weak solution, which vanish on \(\mathbb {R} \setminus \mathbb {I}\) as \(\lambda \rightarrow \infty ,\) and converge to \(\tilde{u}\) in \(H^{\alpha }(\mathbb {R})\); here \(\tilde{u} \in E_{0}^{\alpha }\) is nontrivial weak solution of the Dirichlet BVP for fractional Hamiltonian systems on the finite interval \(\mathbb {I}\). Furthermore, we give the multiplicity results for the above fractional Hamiltonian systems.

The simple \(GL(n,\mathbb {C})\)-modules are described by using semistandard Young tableaux. Any semistandard skew tableau can be transformed into a well defined semistandard tableau by a combinatorial operation, the Schützenberger jeu de taquin. Associated to the classical Lie groups \(SP(2n,\mathbb {C})\), \(SO(2n+1,\mathbb {C})\), there are other notions of semistandard Young tableaux and jeux de taquin. In this paper, we study these various jeux de taquin, proving that each of them has a simple and explicit formulation as a step-by-step sliding. Any of these jeux de taquin is the restriction of the orthogonal one, associated to \(SO(2n+1,\mathbb {C})\).  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) (\(t\ge 0\)) of normalized biholomorphic mappings on the Euclidean unit ball \(\mathbb {B}^n\) in \({\mathbb {C}}^n\) that can be embedded in normal Loewner chains whose normalizations are given by time-dependent operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\), where \(\widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is a family of measurable mappings from \([0,\infty )\) into \(L({\mathbb {C}}^n)\) which satisfy certain natural assumptions. In particular, we consider extreme points and support points associated with the compact family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), where \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\). We prove that if \(f(z,t)=V(t)^{-1}z+\cdots \) is a normal Loewner chain such that \(V(s)f(\cdot ,s)\in \mathrm{ex}\,\widetilde{S}^s_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) (resp. \(V(s)f(\cdot ,s)\in \mathrm{supp}\,\widetilde{S}^s_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\)), then \(V(t)f(\cdot ,t)\in \mathrm{ex}\, \widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), for all \(t\ge s\) (resp. \(V(t)f(\cdot ,t)\in \mathrm{supp}\,\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), for all \(t\ge s\)), where V(t) is the unique solution on \([0,\infty )\) of the initial value problem: \(\frac{d V}{d t}(t)=-A(t)V(t)\), a.e. \(t\ge 0\), \(V(0)=I_n\). Also, we obtain an example of a bounded support point for the family \(\widetilde{S}_A^t(\mathbb {B}^2)\), where \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is a certain time-dependent operator. We also consider the notion of a reachable family with respect to time-dependent linear operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\), and obtain characterizations of extreme/support points associated with these families of bounded biholomorphic mappings on \(\mathbb {B}^n\). Useful examples and applications yield that the study of the family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) for time-dependent operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is basically different from that in the case of constant time-dependent linear operators.  相似文献

In this article we study the problem
$$\begin{aligned} \Delta ^{2}u-\left( a+b\int _{\mathbb {R}^{N}}\left| \nabla u\right| ^{2}dx\right) \Delta u+V(x)u=\left| u\right| ^{p-2}u\ \text { in }\mathbb {R}^{N}, \end{aligned}$$
where \(\Delta ^{2}:=\Delta (\Delta )\) is the biharmonic operator, \(a,b>0\) are constants, \(N\le 7,\) \(p\in (4,2_{*})\) for \(2_{*}\) defined below, and \(V(x)\in C(\mathbb {R}^{N},\mathbb {R})\). Under appropriate assumptions on V(x), the existence of least energy sign-changing solution is obtained by combining the variational methods and the Nehari method.

We study the transition density of a standard two-dimensional Brownian motion killed when hitting a bounded Borel set A. We derive the asymptotic form of the density, say \(p^A_t(\mathbf{x},\mathbf{y})\), for large times t and for \(\mathbf{x}\) and \(\mathbf{y}\) in the exterior of A valid uniformly under the constraint \(|\mathbf{x}|\vee |\mathbf{y}| =O(t)\). Within the parabolic regime \(|\mathbf{x}|\vee |\mathbf{y}| = O(\sqrt{t})\) in particular \(p^A_t(\mathbf{x},\mathbf{y})\) is shown to behave like \(4e_A(\mathbf{x})e_A(\mathbf{y}) (\lg t)^{-2} p_t(\mathbf{y}-\mathbf{x})\) for large t, where \(p_t(\mathbf{y}-\mathbf{x})\) is the transition kernel of the Brownian motion (without killing) and \(e_A\) is the Green function for the ‘exterior of A’ with a pole at infinity normalized so that \(e_A(\mathbf{x}) \sim \lg |\mathbf{x}|\). We also provide fairly accurate upper and lower bounds of \(p^A_t(\mathbf{x},\mathbf{y})\) for the case \(|\mathbf{x}|\vee |\mathbf{y}|>t\) as well as corresponding results for the higher dimensions.  相似文献

Let \(\{X(t):t\in \mathbb R_+\}\) be a stationary Gaussian process with almost surely (a.s.) continuous sample paths, \(\mathbb E X(t) = 0, \mathbb E X^2(t) = 1\) and correlation function satisfying (i) \(r(t) = 1 - C|t|^{\alpha } + o(|t|^{\alpha })\) as \(t\rightarrow 0\) for some \(0\le \alpha \le 2\) and \(C>0\); (ii) \(\sup _{t\ge s}|r(t)|<1\) for each \(s>0\) and (iii) \(r(t) = O(t^{-\lambda })\) as \(t\rightarrow \infty \) for some \(\lambda >0\). For any \(n\ge 1\), consider n mutually independent copies of X and denote by \(\{X_{r:n}(t):t\ge 0\}\) the rth smallest order statistics process, \(1\le r\le n\). We provide a tractable criterion for assessing whether, for any positive, non-decreasing function \(f, \mathbb P(\mathscr {E}_f)=\mathbb P(X_{r:n}(t) > f(t)\, \text { i.o.})\) equals 0 or 1. Using this criterion we find, for a family of functions \(f_p(t)\) such that \(z_p(t)=\mathbb P(\sup _{s\in [0,1]}X_{r:n}(s)>f_p(t))=O((t\log ^{1-p} t)^{-1})\), that \(\mathbb P(\mathscr {E}_{f_p})= 1_{\{p\ge 0\}}\). Consequently, with \(\xi _p (t) = \sup \{s:0\le s\le t, X_{r:n}(s)\ge f_p(s)\}\), for \(p\ge 0\) we have \(\lim _{t\rightarrow \infty }\xi _p(t)=\infty \) and \(\limsup _{t\rightarrow \infty }(\xi _p(t)-t)=0\) a.s. Complementarily, we prove an Erdös–Révész type law of the iterated logarithm lower bound on \(\xi _p(t)\), namely, that \(\liminf _{t\rightarrow \infty }(\xi _p(t)-t)/h_p(t) = -1\) a.s. for \(p>1\) and \(\liminf _{t\rightarrow \infty }\log (\xi _p(t)/t)/(h_p(t)/t) = -1\) a.s. for \(p\in (0,1]\), where \(h_p(t)=(1/z_p(t))p\log \log t\).  相似文献

In this paper, by establishing free-probabilistic models on the Hecke algebras \(\mathcal {H}(G_{p})\), we construct canonical free probability spaces \((\mathcal {H}(G_{p}), \psi _{p})\), where \(G_{p} = GL_{2}(\mathbb {Q} _{p})\), for primes \(p\). Dependent upon such free-probabilistic structures, we study corresponding representations of \(\mathcal {H}(G_{p})\), and consider spectral properties of operators realized under representations.  相似文献
