Given a partition \(\lambda \) of n, the Schur functor \({\mathbb {S}}_\lambda \) associates to any complex vector space V, a subspace \({\mathbb {S}}_\lambda (V)\) of \(V^{\otimes n}\). Hermite’s reciprocity law, in terms of the Schur functor, states that \({\mathbb {S}}_{(p)}\left( {\mathbb {S}}_{(q)}({\mathbb {C}}^2)\right) \simeq {\mathbb {S}}_{(q)}\left( {\mathbb {S}}_{(p)}({\mathbb {C}}^2)\right) . \) We extend this identity to many other identities of the type \({\mathbb {S}}_{\lambda }\left( {\mathbb {S}}_{\delta }({\mathbb {C}}^2)\right) \simeq {\mathbb {S}}_{\mu }\left( {\mathbb {S}}_{\epsilon }({\mathbb {C}}^2)\right) \).  相似文献

Let \(\mathrm{SM}_{2n}(S^1,\mathbb {R})\) be a set of stable Morse functions of an oriented circle such that the number of singular points is \(2n\in \mathbb {N}\) and the order of singular values satisfies the particular condition. For an orthogonal projection \(\pi :\mathbb {R}^2\rightarrow \mathbb {R}\), let \({\tilde{f}}_0\) and \({\tilde{f}}_1:S^1\rightarrow \mathbb {R}^2\) be embedding lifts of f. If there is an ambient isotopy \(\tilde{\varphi }_t:\mathbb {R}^2\rightarrow \mathbb {R}^2\) \((t\in [0,1])\) such that \({\pi \circ \tilde{\varphi }}_t(y_1,y_2)=y_1\) and \(\tilde{\varphi }_1\circ {\tilde{f}}_0={\tilde{f}}_1\), we say that \({\tilde{f}}_0\) and \({\tilde{f}}_1\) are height isotopic. We define a function \(I:\mathrm{SM}_{2n}(S^1,\mathbb {R})\rightarrow \mathbb {N}\) as follows: I(f) is the number of height isotopy classes of embeddings such that each rotation number is one. In this paper, we determine the maximal value of the function I equals the n-th Baxter number and the minimal value equals \(2^{n-1}\).  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal S\) be an abelian group of automorphisms of a probability space \((X, {\mathcal A}, \mu )\) with a finite system of generators \((A_1, \ldots , A_d).\) Let \(A^{{\underline{\ell }}}\) denote \(A_1^{\ell _1} \ldots A_d^{\ell _d}\), for \({{\underline{\ell }}}= (\ell _1, \ldots , \ell _d).\) If \((Z_k)\) is a random walk on \({\mathbb {Z}}^d\), one can study the asymptotic distribution of the sums \(\sum _{k=0}^{n-1} \, f \circ A^{\,{Z_k(\omega )}}\) and \(\sum _{{\underline{\ell }}\in {\mathbb {Z}}^d} {\mathbb {P}}(Z_n= {\underline{\ell }}) \, A^{\underline{\ell }}f\), for a function f on X. In particular, given a random walk on commuting matrices in \(SL(\rho , {\mathbb {Z}})\) or in \({\mathcal M}^*(\rho , {\mathbb {Z}})\) acting on the torus \({\mathbb {T}}^\rho \), \(\rho \ge 1\), what is the asymptotic distribution of the associated ergodic sums along the random walk for a smooth function on \({\mathbb {T}}^\rho \) after normalization? In this paper, we prove a central limit theorem when X is a compact abelian connected group G endowed with its Haar measure (e.g., a torus or a connected extension of a torus), \(\mathcal S\) a totally ergodic d-dimensional group of commuting algebraic automorphisms of G and f a regular function on G. The proof is based on the cumulant method and on preliminary results on random walks.  相似文献

In this paper we classify magnetic trajectories γ in \({{\mathbb{R}}^{2N+1}}\) endowed with a canonical quasi-Sasakian structure, corresponding to a magnetic field proportional to the fundamental 2-form. We prove that they are helices of order 5 and we show that there exists a totally geodesic \({{\mathbb{R}}^5}\) in \({\mathbb{R}^{2N+1}}\) such that γ lies in \({{\mathbb{R}}^5}\). Moreover, the quasi-Sasakian structure of \({{\mathbb{R}}^5}\) is that induced from the ambient manifold.  相似文献

Let \(X=G/P\) be a real projective quadric, where \(G=O(p,\,q)\) and P is a parabolic subgroup of G. Let \((\pi _{\lambda ,\epsilon },\, \mathcal H_{\lambda ,\epsilon })_{ (\lambda ,\epsilon )\in {\mathbb {C}}\times \{\pm \}}\) be the family of (smooth) representations of G induced from the characters of P. For \((\lambda ,\, \epsilon ),\, (\mu ,\, \eta )\in {\mathbb {C}}\times \{\pm \},\) a differential operator \(\mathbf D_{(\mu ,\eta )}^\mathrm{reg}\) on \(X\times X,\) acting G-covariantly from \({\mathcal {H}}_{\lambda ,\epsilon } \otimes {\mathcal {H}}_{\mu , \eta }\) into \({\mathcal {H}}_{\lambda +1,-\epsilon } \otimes {\mathcal {H}}_{\mu +1, -\eta }\) is constructed.  相似文献

In this paper we study four-dimensional \((m,\rho )\)-quasi-Einstein manifolds with harmonic Weyl curvature when \(m\notin \{0,\pm 1,-2,\pm \infty \}\) and \(\rho \notin \{\frac{1}{4},\frac{1}{6}\}\). We prove that a non-trivial \((m,\rho )\)-quasi-Einstein metric g (not necessarily complete) is locally isometric to one of the following: (i) \({\mathcal {B}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\times {\mathbb {N}}^2_\frac{R(m+1)}{2(m+2)}\), where \({\mathcal {B}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\) is the northern hemisphere in the two-dimensional (2D) sphere \({\mathbb {S}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\), \({\mathbb {N}}_\delta \) is a 2D Riemannian manifold with constant curvature \(\delta \), and R is the constant scalar curvature of g. (ii) \({\mathcal {D}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\times {\mathbb {N}}^2_\frac{R(m+1)}{2(m+2)}\), where \({\mathcal {D}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\) is half (cut by a hyperbolic line) of hyperbolic plane \({\mathbb {H}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\). (iii) \({\mathbb {H}}^2_\frac{R}{2(m+2)}\times {\mathbb {N}}^2_\frac{R(m+1)}{2(m+2)}\). (iv) A certain singular metric with \(\rho =0\). (v) A locally conformal flat metric. By applying this local classification, we obtain a classification of the complete \((m,\rho )\)-quasi-Einstein manifolds given the condition of a harmonic Weyl curvature. Our result can be viewed as a local classification of gradient Einstein-type manifolds. A corollary of our result is the classification of \((\lambda ,4+m)\)-Einstein manifolds, which can be viewed as (m, 0)-quasi-Einstein manifolds.  相似文献

We consider the perturbed Schrödinger equation
$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}{- \varepsilon ^2 \Delta u + V(x)u = P(x)|u|^{p - 2} u + k(x)|u|^{2* - 2} u} &; {\text{for}}\, x \in {\mathbb{R}}^N\\ \qquad \qquad \quad {u(x) \rightarrow 0} &; \text{as}\, {|x| \rightarrow \infty} \end{array} \right.$
where \(N\geq 3, \ 2^*=2N/(N-2)\) is the Sobolev critical exponent, \(p\in (2, 2^*)\) , P(x) and K(x) are bounded positive functions. Under proper conditions on V we show that it has at least one positive solution provided that \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}\) ; for any \(m\in{\mathbb{N}}\) , it has m pairs of solutions if \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}_{m}\) ; and suppose there exists an orthogonal involution \(\tau:{\mathbb{R}}^{N}\to{\mathbb{R}}^{N}\) such that V(x), P(x) and K(x) are τ -invariant, then it has at least one pair of solutions which change sign exactly once provided that \(\varepsilon\leq{\mathcal{E}}\) , where \({\mathcal{E}}\) and \({\mathcal{E}}_{m}\) are sufficiently small positive numbers. Moreover, these solutions \(u_\varepsilon\to 0\) in \(H^1({\mathbb{R}}^N)\) as \(\varepsilon\to 0\) .

We compute the \({\mathbb {Z}}\)-rank of the subgroup \(\widetilde{E}_K =\bigcap _{n\in {\mathbb {N}}} N_{K_n/K}(K_n^\times )\) of elements of the multiplicative group of a number field K that are norms from every finite level of the cyclotomic \({\mathbb {Z}}_\ell \)-extension \(K^c\) of K. Thus we compare its \(\ell \)-adification \({\mathbb {Z}}_\ell \otimes _{\mathbb {Z}}\widetilde{E}_K\) with the group of logarithmic units \(\widetilde{\varepsilon }_K\). By the way we point out an easy proof of the Gross–Kuz’min conjecture for \(\ell \)-undecomposed extensions of abelian fields.  相似文献

Based on the Feistel and MISTY structures, this paper presents several new constructions of complete permutation polynomials (CPPs) of the finite field \({\mathbb {F}}_{2^{n}}^2\) for a positive integer n and three constructions of CPPs over \({\mathbb {F}}_{p^{n}}^m\) for any prime p and positive integer \(m\ge 2\). In addition, we investigate the upper bound on the algebraic degree of these CPPs and show that some of them can have nearly optimal algebraic degree.  相似文献

Let X be a non-void set and A be a subalgebra of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . We call a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional \({\varphi}\) on A a 1-evaluation if \({\varphi(f) \in f(X) }\) for all \({f\in A}\) . From the classical Gleason–Kahane–?elazko theorem, it follows that if X in addition is a compact Hausdorff space then a mapping \({\varphi}\) of \({C_{\mathbb{C}}(X) }\) into \({\mathbb{C}}\) is a 1-evaluation if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism. In this paper, we aim to investigate the extent to which this equivalence between 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms can be generalized to a wider class of self-conjugate subalgebras of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . In this regards, we prove that a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional on a self-conjugate subalgebra A of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) is a positive \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\overline{1}}\) -evaluation, that is, \({\varphi(f) \in\overline{f\left(X\right)}}\) for all \({f\in A}\) . As consequences of our general study, we prove that 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms on \({C_{\mathbb{C}}\left( X\right)}\) coincide for any topological space X and we get a new characterization of realcompact topological spaces.  相似文献

A Laguerre geometric local characterization is given of L-minimal surfaces and Laguerre deformations (T-transforms) of L-minimal isothermic surfaces in terms of the holomorphicity of a quartic and a quadratic differential. This is used to prove that, via their L-Gauss maps, the T-transforms of L-minimal isothermic surfaces have constant mean curvature \(H=r\) in some translate of hyperbolic 3-space \({\mathbb {H}}^3(-r^2)\subset \mathbb {R}^4_1\), de Sitter 3-space \({\mathbb {S}}^3_1(r^2)\subset \mathbb {R}^4_1\), or have mean curvature \(H=0\) in some translate of a time-oriented lightcone in \(\mathbb {R}^4_1\). As an application, we show that various instances of the Lawson isometric correspondence can be viewed as special cases of the T-transformation of L-isothermic surfaces with holomorphic quartic differential.  相似文献

Let G be a Polish locally compact group acting on a Polish space \({{X}}\) with a G-invariant probability measure \(\mu \). We factorize the integral with respect to \(\mu \) in terms of the integrals with respect to the ergodic measures on X, and show that \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) (\(1\le p<\infty \)) is G-equivariantly isometrically lattice isomorphic to an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of the spaces \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\lambda )\), where \(\lambda \) ranges over the ergodic measures on X. This yields a disintegration of the canonical representation of G as isometric lattice automorphisms of \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}},\mu )\) as an \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integral of order indecomposable representations. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is a probability space, and, for some \(1\le q<\infty \), G acts in a strongly continuous manner on \(\mathrm {L}^{q}({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) as isometric lattice automorphisms that leave the constants fixed, then G acts on \(\mathrm {L}^{p}({{X}}^{\prime },\mu ^{\prime })\) in a similar fashion for all \(1\le p<\infty \). Moreover, there exists an alternative model in which these representations originate from a continuous action of G on a compact Hausdorff space. If \(({{X}}^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) is separable, the representation of G on \(\mathrm {L}^p(X^\prime ,\mu ^\prime )\) can then be disintegrated into order indecomposable representations. The notions of \({\mathrm {L}^p}\)-direct integrals of Banach spaces and representations that are developed extend those in the literature.  相似文献

Given an i.i.d sample (Y i , Z i ), taking values in \({\mathbb{R}^{d'}\times\mathbb{R}^d}\), we consider a collection Nadarya–Watson kernel estimators of the conditional expectations \({\mathbb{E}( <\,c_g(z),g(Y)>+d_g(z)\mid Z=z)}\), where z belongs to a compact set \({H\subset \mathbb{R}^d}\), g a Borel function on \({\mathbb{R}^{d'}}\) and c g (·), d g (·) are continuous functions on \({\mathbb{R}^d}\). Given two bandwidth sequences \({h_n<\mathfrak{h}_n}\) fulfilling mild conditions, we obtain an exact and explicit almost sure limit bounds for the deviations of these estimators around their expectations, uniformly in \({g\in\mathcal{G},\;z\in H}\) and \({h_n\le h\le \mathfrak{h}_n}\) under mild conditions on the density f Z , the class \({\mathcal{G}}\), the kernel K and the functions c g (·), d g (·). We apply this result to prove that smoothed empirical likelihood can be used to build confidence intervals for conditional probabilities \({\mathbb{P}( Y\in C\mid Z=z)}\), that hold uniformly in \({z\in H,\; C\in \mathcal{C},\; h\in [h_n,\mathfrak{h}_n]}\). Here \({\mathcal{C}}\) is a Vapnik–Chervonenkis class of sets.  相似文献

We choose some special unit vectors \({\mathbf {n}}_1,\ldots ,{\mathbf {n}}_5\) in \({\mathbb {R}}^3\) and denote by \({\mathscr {L}}\subset {\mathbb {R}}^5\) the set of all points \((L_1,\ldots ,L_5)\in {\mathbb {R}}^5\) with the following property: there exists a compact convex polytope \(P\subset {\mathbb {R}}^3\) such that the vectors \({\mathbf {n}}_1,\ldots ,{\mathbf {n}}_5\) (and no other vector) are unit outward normals to the faces of P and the perimeter of the face with the outward normal \({\mathbf {n}}_k\) is equal to \(L_k\) for all \(k=1,\ldots ,5\). Our main result reads that \({\mathscr {L}}\) is not a locally-analytic set, i.e., we prove that, for some point \((L_1,\ldots ,L_5)\in {\mathscr {L}}\), it is not possible to find a neighborhood \(U\subset {\mathbb {R}}^5\) and an analytic set \(A\subset {\mathbb {R}}^5\) such that \({\mathscr {L}}\cap U=A\cap U\). We interpret this result as an obstacle for finding an existence theorem for a compact convex polytope with prescribed directions and perimeters of the faces.  相似文献

We show that the enveloping space \({\mathbb {X}}_G\) of a partial action of a Polish group G on a Polish space \({\mathbb {X}}\) is a standard Borel space, that is to say, there is a topology \(\tau \) on \({\mathbb {X}}_G\) such that \(({\mathbb {X}}_G, \tau )\) is Polish and the quotient Borel structure on \({\mathbb {X}}_G\) is equal to \(Borel({\mathbb {X}}_G,\tau )\). To prove this result we show a generalization of a theorem of Burgess about Borel selectors for the orbit equivalence relation induced by a group action and also show that some properties of the Vaught’s transform are valid for partial actions of groups.  相似文献

Motivated by applications in the field of shape analysis, we study reparametrization invariant, fractional order Sobolev-type metrics on the space of smooth regular curves \(\mathrm {Imm}(\mathrm {S}^{1},\mathbb {R}^d)\) and on its Sobolev completions \({\mathcal {I}}^{q}(\mathrm {S}^{1},{\mathbb {R}}^{d})\). We prove local well-posedness of the geodesic equations both on the Banach manifold \({\mathcal {I}}^{q}(\mathrm {S}^{1},{\mathbb {R}}^{d})\) and on the Fréchet-manifold \(\mathrm {Imm}(\mathrm {S}^{1},\mathbb {R}^d)\) provided the order of the metric is greater or equal to one. In addition we show that the \(H^s\)-metric induces a strong Riemannian metric on the Banach manifold \({\mathcal {I}}^{s}(\mathrm {S}^{1},{\mathbb {R}}^{d})\) of the same order s, provided \(s>\frac{3}{2}\). These investigations can be also interpreted as a generalization of the analysis for right invariant metrics on the diffeomorphism group.  相似文献

We show that symmetric block designs \({\mathcal {D}}=({\mathcal {P}},{\mathcal {B}})\) can be embedded in a suitable commutative group \({\mathfrak {G}}_{\mathcal {D}}\) in such a way that the sum of the elements in each block is zero, whereas the only Steiner triple systems with this property are the point-line designs of \({\mathrm {PG}}(d,2)\) and \({\mathrm {AG}}(d,3)\). In both cases, the blocks can be characterized as the only k-subsets of \(\mathcal {P}\) whose elements sum to zero. It follows that the group of automorphisms of any such design \(\mathcal {D}\) is the group of automorphisms of \({\mathfrak {G}}_\mathcal {D}\) that leave \(\mathcal {P}\) invariant. In some special cases, the group \({\mathfrak {G}}_\mathcal {D}\) can be determined uniquely by the parameters of \(\mathcal {D}\). For instance, if \(\mathcal {D}\) is a 2-\((v,k,\lambda )\) symmetric design of prime order p not dividing k, then \({\mathfrak {G}}_\mathcal {D}\) is (essentially) isomorphic to \(({\mathbb {Z}}/p{\mathbb {Z}})^{\frac{v-1}{2}}\), and the embedding of the design in the group can be described explicitly. Moreover, in this case, the blocks of \(\mathcal {B}\) can be characterized also as the v intersections of \(\mathcal {P}\) with v suitable hyperplanes of \(({\mathbb {Z}}/p{\mathbb {Z}})^{\frac{v-1}{2}}\).  相似文献

We discuss the proof of Kazhdan and Lusztig of the equivalence of the Drinfeld category \({\mathcal D}({\mathfrak g},\hbar)\) of \({\mathfrak g}\)-modules and the category of finite dimensional \(U_q{\mathfrak g}\)-modules, \(q=e^{\pi i\hbar}\), for \(\hbar\in{\mathbb C}\setminus{\mathbb Q}^*\). Aiming at operator algebraists the result is formulated as the existence for each \(\hbar\in i{\mathbb R}\) of a normalized unitary 2-cochain \({\mathcal F}\) on the dual \(\hat G\) of a compact simple Lie group G such that the convolution algebra of G with the coproduct twisted by \({\mathcal F}\) is *-isomorphic to the convolution algebra of the q-deformation G q of G, while the coboundary of \({\mathcal F}^{-1}\) coincides with Drinfeld’s KZ-associator defined via monodromy of the Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations.  相似文献

We prove that a deformation of a hypersurface in an (n + 1)-dimensional real space form \({{\mathbb S}^{n+1}_{p,1}}\) induces a Hamiltonian variation of the normal congruence in the space \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{n+1}_{p,1})}\) of oriented geodesics. As an application, we show that every Hamiltonian minimal submanifold in \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{n+1})}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb H}^{n+1})}\)) with respect to the (para-)Kähler Einstein structure is locally the normal congruence of a hypersurface \({\Sigma}\) in \({{\mathbb S}^{n+1}}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb H}^{n+1}}\)) that is a critical point of the functional \({{\mathcal W}(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\left(\Pi_{i=1}^n|\epsilon+k_i^2|\right)^{1/2}}\), where ki denote the principal curvatures of \({\Sigma}\) and \({\epsilon \in \{-1, 1\}}\). In addition, for \({n = 2}\), we prove that every Hamiltonian minimal surface in \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{3})}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb H}^{3})}\)), with respect to the (para-)Kähler conformally flat structure, is the normal congruence of a surface in \({{\mathbb S}^{3}}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb H}^{3}}\)) that is a critical point of the functional \({{\mathcal W}\prime(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\sqrt{H^2-K+1}}\) (resp. \({{\mathcal W}\prime(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\sqrt{H^2-K-1}}\)), where H and K denote, respectively, the mean and Gaussian curvature of \({\Sigma}\).  相似文献

This paper studies the empirical laws of eigenvalues and singular values for random matrices drawn from the heat kernel measures on the unitary groups \({\mathbb {U}}_N\) and the general linear groups \({\mathbb {GL}}_N\), for \(N\in {\mathbb {N}}\). It establishes the strongest known convergence results for the empirical eigenvalues in the \({\mathbb {U}}_N\) case, and the first known almost sure convergence results for the eigenvalues and singular values in the \({\mathbb {GL}}_N\) case. The limit noncommutative distribution associated with the heat kernel measure on \({\mathbb {GL}}_N\) is identified as the projection of a flow on an infinite-dimensional polynomial space. These results are then strengthened from variance estimates to \(L^p\) estimates for even integers p.  相似文献
