This Letter is concerned with bifurcation and chaos control in scalar delayed differential equations with delay parameter τ. By linear stability analysis, the conditions under which a sequence of Hopf bifurcation occurs at the equilibrium points are obtained. The delayed feedback controller is used to stabilize unstable periodic orbits. To find the controller delay, it is chosen such that the Hopf bifurcation remains unchanged. Also, the controller feedback gain is determined such that the corresponding unstable periodic orbit becomes stable. Numerical simulations are used to verify the analytical results.  相似文献

This Letter deals with the problem of designing time-delayed feedback controllers (TDFCs) to stabilize unstable equilibrium points and periodic orbits for a class of continuous time-delayed chaotic systems. Harmonic balance approach is used to select the appropriate controller parameters: delay time and feedback gain. Comparison of feedback control methods for a hyperchaotic Lorenz system   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
More and more attention has been payed to the hyperchaotic system for the huge potential applications of hyperchaotic system such as secure communication and more complex structure than chaotic system. So at present the controlling of the hyperchaotic system simply and effectively is a frontier topic of nonlinear science. In this Letter, for the latest hyperchaotic Lorenz system, four feedback control methods were studied with analytic solution and necessary numerical simulations. It is found that the enhancing feedback control approach is the best choice of the given four feedback control methods for its relatively simple external inputs and relatively small necessary feedback coefficient after comparison. The conclusion is a helpful for the choice of control methods of any other chaotic and hyperchaotic systems.  相似文献

We study synchronization as a means of control of collective behavior of an ensemble of coupled stochastic units in which oscillations are induced merely by external noise. For a large number of one-dimensional continuous stochastic elements coupled non-homogeneously through the mean field with delay we developed an approach to find a boundary of synchronization domain and the frequency of the mean-field oscillations on it. Namely, the exact location of the synchronization threshold is shown to be a solution of the boundary value problem (BVP) which was derived from the linearized Fokker-Planck equation. Here the synchronization threshold is found by solving this BVP numerically. Approximate analytics is obtained by expanding the solution of the linearized Fokker-Planck equation into a series of eigenfunctions of the stationary Fokker-Planck operator. Bistable systems with a polynomial and piece-wise linear potential are considered as examples. Multistability and hysteresis in the mean-field behavior are observed in the stochastic network at finite noise intensities. In the limit of small noise intensities the critical coupling strength is shown to remain finite, provided that the delay in the coupling function is not infinitely small. Delay in the coupling term can be used as a control parameter that manipulates the location of the synchronization threshold.  相似文献

A circular chain of N cells with logistic dynamics, coupled together with symmetric nearest neighbor coupling and periodic boundary conditions is investigated. For certain coupling parameters we observe bifurcation of a stable state into two types of period two solutions. By using the symmetry of this Coupled Map Lattice model, we show that the bifurcated system only can have periodic solutions with symmetry group corresponding to certain subgroups of the full symmetry group of the system.  相似文献

In this Letter, an adaptive control scheme is developed to study the anti-synchronization behavior between two identical and different chaotic systems with unknown parameters. This adaptive anti-synchronization controller is designed based on Lyapunov stability theory and an analytic expression of the controller with its adaptive laws of parameters is shown. The adaptive anti-synchronization between two identical systems (Chen system) and different systems (Genesio and Lü systems) are taken as two illustrative examples to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are shown to verify the results.  相似文献

In this work a method is developed for analyzing time series of periodically driven stochastic systems involving time-delayed feedback. The proposed data-analysis method yields dynamical models in terms of stochastic delay differential equations. An equilibrium of a planar, piecewise-C1, continuous system of differential equations that crosses a curve of discontinuity of the Jacobian of its vector field can undergo a number of discontinuous or border-crossing bifurcations. Here we prove that if the eigenvalues of the Jacobian limit to λL±iωL on one side of the discontinuity and −λR±iωR on the other, with λL,λR>0, and the quantity Λ=λL/ωLλR/ωR is nonzero, then a periodic orbit is created or destroyed as the equilibrium crosses the discontinuity. This bifurcation is analogous to the classical Andronov-Hopf bifurcation, and is supercritical if Λ<0 and subcritical if Λ>0.  相似文献

In hybrid dynamical systems including both continuous and discrete components, an interplay between a continuous trajectory and a discontinuity boundary can trigger a sudden qualitative change in the system dynamics. Grazing phenomena, which occur when a continuous trajectory hits a boundary tangentially, are well known as a representative of such phenomena. We demonstrate that a grazing phenomenon of a chaotic attractor can result in its sudden disappearance and initiate chaotic transients. The mechanism of this grazing-induced crisis is revealed in an illustrative example. Furthermore, we derive a formula to obtain the critical exponent of the power law on the mean duration of chaotic transients.  相似文献

Anomalous phase synchronization in nonidentical interacting oscillators is manifest as the increase of frequency disorder prior to synchronization. We show that this effect can be enhanced when a time-delay is included in the coupling. In systems of limit-cycle and chaotic oscillators we find that the regions of phase disorder and phase synchronization can be interwoven in the parameter space such that as a function of coupling or time-delay the system shows transitions from phase ordering to disorder and back.  相似文献

In this letter, we study an integrable Camassa-Holm hierarchy whose high-frequency limit is the Camassa-Holm equation. Phase plane analysis is employed to investigate bounded traveling wave solutions. An important feature is that there exists a singular line on the phase plane. By considering the properties of the equilibrium points and the relative position of the singular line, we find that there are in total three types of phase planes. Those paths in phase planes which represented bounded solutions are discussed one-by-one. Besides solitary, peaked and periodic waves, the equations are shown to admit a new type of traveling waves, which concentrate all their energy in one point, and we name them deltons as they can be expressed as some constant multiplied by a delta function. There also exists a type of traveling waves we name periodic deltons, which concentrate their energy in periodic points. The explicit expressions for them and all the other traveling waves are given.  相似文献

A pair of Hindmarsh–Rose neurons with delayed coupling is studied. Bifurcations due to time-lag and coupling and stability of the stationary state that corresponds to the quiescence behavior are analyzed. Bursting is created by coupling and its properties strongly depend on the time-lag. In particular, there is a domain of values of time-lags which renders the bursting of the two neurons exactly synchronous.  相似文献

In this paper, a two-input two-output secure communication scheme based on a four-wing four-dimensional chaotic system with disturbance inputs is discussed. Based on parameter modulation theory and Lyapunov stability theory, synchronization and secure communication between transmitter and receiver are achieved and two message signals are recovered via a convenient robust high-order sliding mode adaptative controller. In addition, the gains of the receiver system can be adjusted continually, the unknown parameters can be identified precisely and the disturbance inputs can be suppressed simultaneously by the proposed adaptative controller. Synchronization under the effect of noise is also considered. Computer simulations are done to verify the proposed methods and the numerical results show that the obtained theoretic results are feasible and efficient.  相似文献

This Letter is concerned with the asymptotical stabilization problem of discrete chaotic systems by using a novel unified impulsive control scheme. Sufficient conditions for asymptotical stability of the impulsive controlled discrete systems are obtained by means of the Lyapunov stability theory and algebraic inequality techniques. Finally, numerical simulations on the Hénon and Ushio discrete chaotic systems are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and usefulness of the unified impulsive control scheme.  相似文献

The chaos control in the chaotic neural network is studied using the partial state feedback with a control signal from a few control neurons. The controlled CNN converges to one of the stored patterns with a period which depends on the initial conditions, i.e., the set of control neurons and other control parameters. We show that the controlled CNN can distinguish between two initial patterns even if they have a small difference. This implies that such a controlled CNN can be feasibly applied to information processing such as pattern recognition.  相似文献

We present an analysis of time-delayed feedback control used to stabilize an unstable steady state of a neutral delay differential equation. Stability of the controlled system is addressed by studying the eigenvalue spectrum of a corresponding characteristic equation with two time delays. An analytic expression for the stabilizing control strength is derived in terms of original system parameters and the time delay of the control. Theoretical and numerical results show that the interplay between thecontrol strength and two time delays provides a number of regions in the parameter space where the time-delayed feedback control can successfully stabilize an otherwise unstable steady state.  相似文献

In this Letter, the impulsive control method is developed to stabilize the chaotic motions in a class of vibro-impact systems. The strategy of the control is to implement the pulses just when the impact occurs. As applications of this method, we present the numerical simulations of two impact oscillators. Our numerical results indicate that the method used here could suppress chaos into periodic orbits which embedded in the chaotic attractor effectively, and also show that the method is robust even for high levels of multiplicative noise or additive noise.  相似文献

We apply a recently proposed method for the analysis of time series from systems with delayed feedback to experimental data generated by a laser. The method allows estimating the delay time with an error of the order of the sampling interval, while an approach based on the peaks of either the autocorrelation function, or the time delayed mutual information would yield systematically larger values. We reconstruct rather accurately the equations of motion and, in turn, estimate the Lyapunov spectrum even for high dimensional attractors. By comparing models constructed for different “embedding dimensions” with the original data, we are able to find the minimal faithful model. For short delays, the results of our procedure have been cross-checked using a conventional Takens time-delay embedding. For large delays, the standard analysis is inapplicable since the dynamics becomes hyperchaotic. In such a regime we provide the first experimental evidence that the Lyapunov spectrum, rescaled according to the delay time, is independent of the delay time itself. This is in full analogy with the independence of the system size found in spatially extended systems. Received 17 December 1999  相似文献

High-dimensional chaos displayed by multi-component systems with a single time-delayed feedback is shown to be accessible to time series analysis of a scalar variable only. The mapping of the original dynamics onto scalar time-delay systems defined on sufficiently high dimensional spaces is thoroughly discussed. The dimension of the “embedding” space turns out to be independent of the delay time and thus of the dimensionality of the attractor dynamics. As a consequence, the procedure described in the present paper turns out to be definitely advantageous with respect to the standard embedding technique in the case of high-dimensional chaos, when the latter is practically unapplicable. The mapping is not exact when delayed maps are used to reproduce the dynamics of time-continuous systems, but the errors can be kept under control. In this context, the approximation of delay-differential equations is discussed with reference to different classes of maps. Appropriate tools to estimate the a priori unknown delay time and the number of hidden components are introduced.
