Using the technique of Doppler-free two-photon spectroscopy the energies of the n2S12 (12 ? n ? 35) and n2D32,52 (11 ? n ? 48) states of CsI have been measured with a thermionic detector. The absorption spectrum of molecular iodine was used as a reference giving us a total estimated accuracy of about 2 × 10-7. Taking also into account the energies of the 7–11 2S12 and 5 and 6 2D32,52 states measured by other authors and using an extended Ritz-formula we found the ionization limit to be Ei = 31406.468 ± 0.006 cm-1.  相似文献

Highly excited 2P32 levels in alkali atoms were populated using a multi-step excitation, involving a tunable dye laser. The hyperfine structure of the 9 2P32 level in 87Rb and the 11, 12 2P32 levels in 133Cs was determined with optical double resonance.  相似文献

Rate coefficients for the quenching of HgBr(B2+12) by HgBr2, H2, CO2, CO, O2, N2, Xe, and Br2 are reported. HgBr(B2+12) is formed by the photolysis of HgBr2 with the output from an ArF laser. The rate coefficients are determined by monitoring the time resolved B2+12 → X2+12 emission as quenching species are added. Radiative lifetimes at particular emission frequencies are also reported, and quenching mechanisms are discussed.  相似文献

The S12-P12-splittings in the n = 5 and n = 6 states of He+ have been determined by an r.f. method to be (905.2 ± 1.0) MHz and (526.7 ± 2.5) MHz, respectively (theory: 906 and 524.2 MHz). Lifetimes of the metastable three electron 1s2s2p 4P52 state have been studied with a time-of-flight beam-foil technique. The lifetimes were measured to be 53.5 ± 13, 20.0 ± 3 and 10.4 ± 1.5 nsec for nitrogen, oxygen and neon respectively. Lifetimes and energies of this state are in excellent agreement with theoretical values.  相似文献

In a study of the γ-radiation emitted in the reaction 176Yb(p, 2n) excited states of the nucleus 175Lu up to spin I = 132 have been investigated. The main results concern the rotational bands 12+ [411]and 12? [541]with the corresponding band heads found at 626.60 and 370.88 keV, respectively. The half-life of the 12+[411] level has been determined to be T12 = 10.7±0.5 ns. Furthermore, the band heads 32?[532]and 32+[411]are proposed at energies of 999.0 and 1150.8 keV, respectively. Experimental E1 transition probabilities between both K = 12 bands are compared with calculations including the Coriolis and pairing effects, as well as theoretically deduced quadrupole deformation parameters.  相似文献

The level schemes of the odd-neutron nuclei 197Hg and 191Pt have been studied using in-beam spectroscopic methods. Energies, intensities, angular distributions and coincidences of the γ-rays following (α, 2n) reactions were measured. Also conversion electrons and delayed γ-ray spectra were recorded. Most of the levels in both nuclei are de-populated via the 132+ isomers. Besides the yrast states, several additional states with spin values between 132 and 212 were identified. The negative parity of a side band in 197Hg starting with an f = 212 state was proved by the conversion electron measurement. The families of positive-parity states were compared with model calculations where the core was described as rigid triaxial rotor or anharmonic vibrator. For 197Hg both models give similarly good results for the energy spectrum and the branching ratios of electromagnetic transitions. Several negative-parity states found in 197Hg are compared with the predictions of a pairing-plus-quadrupole model.  相似文献

Transient field integral precession measurements have been performed on the first two excited states of 31P with the IMPAC technique on recoil into magnetized iron. The results were analyzed with an empirical parametrization of the transient magnetic field for light nuclei. This yields g-factors of g(32+) = +0.20±0.05 and g(52+) = +1.13±0.18 for the first and second excited state, respectively. These results are compared with calculations, which reproduce the measured values rather well.  相似文献

Using incoherent inelastic neutron scattering we have obtained the vibration spectra of the MS2 ·(pyridine)12 complexes (M = Nb, Ta) between 200 and 1000 cm-1. The vibrations of the pyridine have been perturbed upon intercalation but in a different manner to that which occurs on Lewis complex formation. Implications of these results are mentioned.  相似文献

Low-lying levels of 65Zn and 67Zn were excited by the Ni(α, n) reaction using enriched Ni and Ni10Fe90 targets. From the angular distributions of gamma rays, E2/M1 mixing ratios were obtained. In the iron alloy targets, integral spin precession was observed and used to measure the g-factors of two 32? levels of 65Zn. The results are discussed in terms of the shell and unified models of the odd Zn isotopes.  相似文献

Rotational bands have been observed in 157, 158, 159Er to very high spin (J ~ 41h?). Upbends are found, due to the alignment of two h112 protons at 0.40 ? h?ω ? 0.46 MeV in all bands. Low-temperature time differential perturbed angular correlation experiments with the 164 keV-134 keV cascade of 197mHg in a zinc matrix give evidence that the hitherto accepted value of the quadrupole moment of the first 52? state of 197Hg is erroneous. A new value is derived from a time differential perturbed angular correlation experiment with the 374 keV?158 keV cascade of 199mHg implanted into a Be single crystal and comparison with an analogous experiment for 197mHg. Taking Q(52?, 199Hg) = +0.95(7) b we derive |Q(52?, 197Hg)¦= 0.081(6) b. This change of quadrupole moment is discussed in the framework of the shell model.  相似文献

Relative differential cross sections for the reaction 208 P(7Li, 8Li) leading to the predominantly single-hole states in 207Pb have been analysed using the DWBA to determine the rms radius of the 1h92 neutron orbital in 208Pb by comparison with known sizes of the 3p12 and 2f72 orbits. The experiment was performed at a beam energy of 52 MeV. The insensitivity of the technique to unknown input parameters to the DWBA analysis is demonstrated and a value of 5.94±0.11 fm for the rms radius of the 1h92 orbit obtained assuming 70% of the hole strength is concentrated on the 92?, 3.41 MeV state in 207Pb. Effects due to fragmentation of the different hole strengths are examined and a value of 6.00 ± 0.11 fm is extracted as the best value for the rms radius of the neutron excess in 208Pb. The relevance of these data to mean-field calculations of nuclei is discussed.  相似文献

In a model of a Dirac field coupled to a sine-Gordon system, we have soliton solutions with half-integral fermion number. Scattering problems of such solitons are investigated. For soliton-soliton and soliton-antisoliton solutions, we find explicit solutions to the Dirac equations which are localized at the position of the (anti-)solitons. It is shown that the fermion number is generally transferred between the soliton and the (anti-)soliton in the scattering process.  相似文献
