This paper is concerned with an initial boundary value problem for strictly convex conservation laws whose weak entropy solution is in the piecewise smooth solution class consisting of finitely many discontinuities. By the structure of the weak entropy solution of the corresponding initial value problem and the boundary entropy condition developed by Bardos-Leroux Nedelec, we give a construction method to the weak entropy solution of the initial boundary value problem. Compared with the initial value problem, the weak entropy solution of the initial boundary value problem includes the following new interaction type: an expansion wave collides with the boundary and the boundary reflects a new shock wave which is tangent to the boundary. According to the structure and some global estimates of the weak entropy solution, we derive the global L^1-error estimate for viscous methods to this initial boundary value problem by using the matching travelling wave solutions method. If the inviscid solution includes the interaction that an expansion wave collides with the boundary and the boundary reflects a new shock wave which is tangent to the boundary, or the inviscid solution includes some shock wave which is tangent to the boundary, then the error of the viscosity solution to the inviscid solution is bounded by O(ε^1/2) in L^1-norm; otherwise, as in the initial value problem, the L^1-error bound is O(ε| In ε|).  相似文献

The paper deal with the asymptotic behavior of the solutions to the initial boundary value problem for unipolar drift diffusion equations for semiconductors. Under the proper assumptions on doping profile and initial value, we prove that the smooth solutions to these evolutionary problems tend to the unique stationary solution exponentially as time tends to infinity.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the initial boundary value problem for a vis-coelastic model with relaxation. Convergence of Vortex Methods for Initial Boundary Value Problems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper we study the vortex methods for the Euler equation of incompressible flow with initial and boundary conditions. Second order extrapolation scheme is applied to calculate the motion of vortex blobs near boundary. Under some corresponding conventional hypotheses second order convergence result is proved, which achieves the same precision as that of the pure initial value problems and can be generalized to any higher order without difficulty. The convergence of the vortex-in-cell method where the stream functions are approximated by the finite element method is also proved.  相似文献

This paper first shows the exact boundary controllability for a coupled system of wave equations with Neumann boundary controls.In order to establish the corresponding observability inequality,the authors introduce a compact perturbation method which does not depend on the Riesz basis property,but depends only on the continuity of projection with respect to a weaker norm,which is obviously true in many cases of application.Next,in the case of fewer Neumann boundary controls,the non-exact boundary controllability for the initial data with the same level of energy is shown.  相似文献

The major target of this paper is to construct new nonlinear boundary–initial value problems for Boussinesq–Burgers Equations, and derive the solutions of these nonlinear boundary–initial value problems by the simplified homogeneous balance method. We consider an initial boundary value problem for the system of the Maxwell equations in a bounded domain with smooth boundary on a finite time interval with new boundary conditions with memory. In appropriate function spaces, we define and study the nonselfadjoint operator that is generated by the Maxwell operator under a boundary condition with memory. Using the operator method, we prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for a solution to the initial boundary value problem.  相似文献
