Room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) are intriguing solvents, which are recognized as “green” alternatives to volatile organics. Although RTILs are nonvolatile and can dissolve a wide range of charged, polar, and nonpolar organic and inorganic molecules, there remain substantial challenges in their use, not the least of which is the solvents’ high viscosity that leads to potential mass transfer limitations. In the course of this work, we discovered that the simple adsorption of the bacterial protease, proteinase K, onto single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) results in intrinsically high catalytic turnover. The high surface area and the nanoscopic dimensions of SWNTs offered high enzyme loading and low mass transfer resistance. Furthermore, the enzyme–SWNT conjugates displayed enhanced thermal stability in RTILs over the native suspended enzyme counterpart and allowed facile reuse. These enzyme–SWNT conjugates may therefore provide a way to overcome key operational limitations of RTIL systems.  相似文献

The interaction of cordycepin with calf thymus DNA was investigated at physiological pH with drug/DNA molar ratio of 8. The Raman spectroscopy results indicated that the intercalation of high concentration cordycepin and the interaction of cordycepin with PO2 group led to a major reduction of B-form DNA structure in favor of A-form DNA.  相似文献

A new sustainable method is reported for the formation of aromatic carbon–heteroatom bonds under solvent-free and mild conditions (no co-oxidant, no strong acid and no toxic reagents) by using a new type of green ionic liquid. The bromination of methoxy arenes was chosen as a model reaction. The reaction methodology is based on only using natural sodium bromine, which is transformed into an electrophilic brominating reagent within an ionic liquid, easily prepared from the melted salt FeCl3 hexahydrate. Bromination reactions with this in-situ-generated reagent gave good yields and excellent regioselectivity under simple and environmentally friendly conditions. To understand the unusual bromine polarity reversal of sodium bromine without any strong oxidant, the molecular structure of the reaction medium was characterised by Raman and direct infusion electrospray ionisation mass spectroscopy (ESI-MS). An extensive computational investigation using density functional theory methods was performed to describe a mechanism that suggests indirect oxidation of Br through new iron adducts. The versatility of the methodology was successively applied to nitration and thiocyanation of methoxy arenes using KNO3 and KSCN in melted hexahydrated FeCl3.  相似文献

The sorption of CO2 is often used to modify the macroscopic properties of liquids and solids. In the particular case of ionic liquids, different from molecular liquids, the sorption of CO2 may not induce volume expansions due to the strong Coulombic interactions between the ions of the fluid. However, a considerable viscosity decrease has been systematically observed. In order to understand the mechanisms of properties modifications in ionic fluids, herein we used Raman spectroscopy to probe the effect of CO2 on the structure of ionic liquids. It is shown that CO2 perturbs the electrostatic interactions between cations and anions, thus inducing a change in the polar domain of ionic liquids. It is observed that ionic liquids having bulkier ions are more prone to be perturbed by CO2 in comparison to ionic liquids having smaller ions. These results reveal new means of controlling the electrostatic forces between the ions and contributes to the mechanistic understanding of the modification of the macroscopic properties of ionic liquids by CO2 sorption.  相似文献

Some acyclic acidic ionic liquids were prepared and used as the catalysts for the one-pot, three-component synthesis of α-aminophosphonates from aldehydes, amines, and trimethylphosphite at room temperature in water. The products could simply be separated from the system of catalyst/water, and the catalysts could be reused at least six times without noticeably decreasing the catalytic activity.  相似文献

The object of this study was to measure the liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) data of binary mixtures containing ionic liquids and citrus essential oil. We investigated linalool as the citrus essential oil, and 1-alkyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C n MIM]+[TFSI]?) as the ionic liquid. Firstly, the experimental apparatus and procedure for the LLE measurement of mixtures containing ionic liquids were verified by measuring the LLE of the binary mixture 1-hexyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C6MIM]+[TFSI]?) + 1-hexanol as a reference test system recommended by Marsh et al. (Pure Appl Chem 81:781–789, 2009). Next, the LLE data for IL + linalool were obtained, and the LLE data of two binary mixtures 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C4MIM]+[TFSI]?) or [C6MIM]+[TFSI]? + linalool were determined. The experimental LLE data were satisfactorily represented by the non-random two-liquid model.  相似文献

The interaction of gatifloxacin (HGA) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) at 15 and 37 ℃ has been investigated by fluorescence quenching spectroscopy in aqueous solution. The bimolecular quenching rate constant was determined by Stem-Volmer curves and the values were Kq=9.28× 10^12 L·mol^-1·s^-1 (15 ℃) and Kq=8.51 ×10^12 L·mol^-1·s^-1 (37 ~C). The results showed that the fluorescence quenching mechanism of BSA by HGA was a static quenching procedure. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that electrostatic forces played major role in the interaction of BSA with HGA. Studies on the relationship between the concentration of HGA and the fluorescence intensity of BSA showed that BSA and HGA bound at the molar ratio 1 : 1 and the equilibrium constant K0 was 6.80 ×10^4 L·mol^-1. The binding distances between BSA and HGA and the energy transfer efficiency were obtained based on the Ftrster's theory.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to explore the feasibility of using ionic liquids (ILs), namely N-ethyl-N-methylmorpholinium dicyanamide, [EMMor][DCA], (3-hydroxypropyl)-1-methylmorpholinium dicyanamide, [N-C3OHMMor][DCA], 1-(3-hydroxypropyl)-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide, [N-C3OHMIM][DCA], 1-(3-hydroxypropyl)pyridinium dicyanamide, [N-C3OHPy][DCA], (3-cyanopropyl)pyridinium dicyanamide, [N-C3CNPy][DCA], and (3-cyanopropyl)methylpyrrolidinium dicyanamide, [N-C3CNMPyr][DCA] for the separation of ethylbenzene and styrene. The liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data in ternary systems of {IL (1)?+?styrene (2)?+?ethylbenzene (3)} at T?=?298.15 K and ambient pressure is presented for the six ILs synthesized by us. The final chromatography analysis of the composition of tie-lines has shown that the studied ILs are not found in the raffinate phase and they show interesting results on the selectivity and solute distribution ratio for styrene extraction. A comparison of different ILs is presented for the studied separation problem. It was observed that the best separation selectivities were found for [N-C3CNPy][DCA] (SAv?=?2.38) and [N-C3OHMMor][DCA] (SAv?=?2.42) in comparison with other studied ILs in this work and those presented in the literature. While the data presented here are useful from a theoretical standpoint, the possibility of applications for these ILs in technological processes is questionable because of low solute distribution ratios, especially those calculated from the masses [N-C3CNPy][DCA] (βMAv?=?0.08) and [N-C3OHMMor][DCA] (βMAv?=?0.07). The experimental tie-lines were correlated with the non-random two liquid NRTL model.  相似文献

Abstract

The synthesis of D,L‐α‐tocopherol from trimethylhydroquinone and isophytol using the Brønsted acidic SO3H‐functionalized ionic liquids as catalysts was explored. The catalytic activities of the SO3H‐functionalized ionic liquids were dependent on their anions. The yield of D,L‐α‐tocopherol also depended on the solvent, which was the reaction medium. A yield of 94.3% was obtained using the SO3H‐functionalized ionic liquid with [BF4 ?] anion as catalyst in propylene carbonate/heptane. The reaction mixture exhibited good biphasic behaviors, so that the produced D,L‐α‐tocopherol could be separated by decantation. The SO3H‐functionalized ionic liquids could be reused after the removal of water.  相似文献

The composition and chemical state of elements on the surface of solid oxygen-conducting electrolyte La0.88Sr0.12Ga0.82Mg0.18O3 – is studied by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy before and after annealing it at 973 K in a CO2 atmosphere. Products of interaction between doped lanthanum gallate and CO2 are localized in a surface layer 8–10 nm thick. The annealing does not lead to the formation of chemical carbon compounds with metals on the electrolyte surface. Surface layers of the electrolyte both in the initial state and after the annealing are rich in strontium oxide and contain some lanthanum hydroxide.  相似文献

Supramolecular encapsulation is known to alter chemical properties of guest molecules. We have applied this strategy of molecular encapsulation to temporally control the catalytic activity of a stable copper(I)–carbene catalyst. Encapsulation of the copper(I)–carbene catalyst by the supramolecular host cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) resulted in the complete inactivation of a copper-catalyzed alkyne–azide cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction. The addition of a chemical signal achieved the near instantaneous activation of the catalyst, by releasing the catalyst from the inhibited CB[7] catalyst complex. To broaden the scope of our on-demand CuAAC reaction, we demonstrated the protein labeling of vinculin with the copper(I)–carbene catalyst, to inhibit its activity by encapsulation with CB[7] and to initiate labeling at any moment by adding a specific signal molecule. Ultimately, this strategy allows for temporal control over copper-catalyzed click chemistry, on small molecules as well as protein targets.  相似文献

The interactions of bovine serum albumin (BSA) with three structurally related isoflavonoids, genistein, puerarin and daidzein, were studied under physiological conditions by fluorescence spectroscopic technique. The quenching mechanism of these compounds with BSA was suggested as static quenching and the binding constants were determined at different temperatures based on the fluorescence quenching results. The transfer efficiency of energy and distance between the acceptor and BSA were investigated on the basis of the mechanism of the Forster energy transference. According to the thermodynamic parameters it has been suggested that the acting force be mainly hydrophobic force. The comparison of binding potency of the three isoflavonoids to BSA showed that the substitution by 5-OH and 8-Glc could enhance the binding affinity. All these obtained in the work can make us better understand the mode of the action and pharmacological activities of the isoflavonoids.  相似文献

We performed X-ray absorption studies for the electrolytes of a Ti−Mn redox flow battery (RFB) to understand the redox reaction of the Ti/Mn ions and formation of precipitates in charged catholyte, because suppression of the disproportionation reaction is a key to improve the cyclability of Ti−Mn RFB and enhance the energy density. Hard X-ray absorption spectroscopy with a high transmittance and soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy to directly observe the 3d orbitals were complementarily employed. Moreover, the Ti/Mn 3d electronic structure for each precipitate and solution in the charged catholyte was investigated by using scanning transmission X-ray microscopy: the valence of Mn in the precipitate is mostly attributed to 4+, and the solution includes only Mn2+. This charge disproportionation reaction should occur after the Mn ions in the catholyte should be oxidized from Mn2+ to Mn3+ by charge.  相似文献

Stimulated by the interest in developing gold compounds for treating cancer, gold ion–angiotensin peptide interactions are investigated by mass spectrometry. Under the experimental conditions used, the majority of gold ion–angiotensin peptide complexes contain gold in the oxidation states I and III. Both ESI-MS and MALDI-TOF MS detect singly/multiply charged ions for mononuclear/multinuclear gold-attached peptides, which are represented as [peptide + a Au(I) + b Au(III) + (e - a -3b) H]e+, where a,b ≥ 0 and e is charge. ESI-MS data shows singly/multiply charged ions of Au(I)-peptide and Au(III)-peptide complexes. This study reveals that MALDI-TOF MS mainly detects singly charged Au(I)-peptide complexes, presumably due to the ionization process. The electrons in the MALDI plume seem to efficiently reduce Au(III) to Au(I). MALDI also tends to enhance the higher polymeric forms of gold-peptide complexes regardless of the laser power used. Collision-induced dissociation experiments of the mononuclear and dinuclear gold-attached peptide ions for angiotensin peptides show that the gold ion (a soft acid) binding sites are in the vicinity of Cys (a soft ligand), His (a major anchor of peptide for metal ion chelation), and the basic residue Arg. Data also suggests that the abundance of gold-attached peptides increases with higher gold concentration until saturation, after which an increase in gold ion concentration leads to the aggregation and/or precipitation of gold-bound peptides.  相似文献
