In this paper, a stage-structured predator–prey model is proposed and analyzed to study how the type of refuges used by prey population influences the dynamic behavior of the model. Two types of refuges: those that protect a fixed number of prey and those that protect a constant proportion of prey are considered. Mathematical analyses with regard to positivity, boundedness, equilibria and their stabilities, and bifurcation are carried out. Persistence condition which brings out the useful relationship between prey refuge parameter and maturation time delay is established. Comparing the conclusions obtained from analyzing properties of two types of refuges using by prey, we observe that value of maturation time at which the prey population and hence predator population go extinct is greater in case of refuges which protect a constant proportion of prey.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of an autonomous epidemic predator–prey model with delay is considered. Its linear stability and Hopf bifurcation are investigated. Applying the normal form theory and center manifold theory, the explicit formulas for determining the stability and the direction of the Hopf bifurcation periodic solutions are derived. Some numerical simulations for justifying the theoretical analysis are also provided. Finally, main conclusions are included.  相似文献

This paper deals with the behavior of solutions to the reaction–diffusion system under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, which describes a prey–predator model with nonlocal delay. Sufficient conditions for the global stability of each equilibrium are derived by the Lyapunov functional and the results show that the introduction of stage-structure into predator positively affects the coexistence of prey and predator. Numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the results.  相似文献

It is observed that in large animals only adult predators take part in direct predation while suckling feed on milk of adult predators and juveniles are dependent on the dead prey stock killed by the adult predators. Some parts of the dead prey population is consumed by adult predators and remaining parts are consumed by juveniles and the remaining portion decays naturally. In light of this, a mathematical model is proposed to study the stability and bifurcation behaviour of a prey–predator system with age based predation. All the feasible equilibria of the system are obtained and the conditions for the existence of the interior equilibrium are determined. The local stability analysis of all the feasible equilibria is carried out and the possibility of Hopf-bifurcation of the interior equilibrium is studied. Finally, numerical simulation is conducted to support the analytical results.  相似文献

In this work we examine a Lotka–Volterra model with diffusion describing the dynamics of multiple interacting prey and predator species. We show that the solution exists, and is unique, bounded, nonnegative, and globally defined. We also prove the non-existence of nonconstant steady state solutions if certain conditions are satisfied. For the particular case of two prey (e.g., engineered and native, respectively) and one common predator species, by performing a linear stability analysis about the initial native-dominant steady state, we determine under which conditions the engineered species invasion succeeds.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to investigation of Holling type II predator–prey systems with prey refuges and predator restricts. Using a transformation technique, we change the system into a generalized Liénard system and give sufficient conditions to ensure the global stability of the positive equilibrium and existence and uniqueness of a stable limit cycle. Based on the availability of prey and a simple predator–prey model, we propose a delayed predator–prey model with predator migration to describe biological control. We first study the existence and stability of equilibria. It turns out that backward bifurcation occurs with the migration rate as bifurcation parameter. The stability of the trivial equilibrium and the boundary equilibrium is delay-independent. However, the stability of the positive equilibrium may be delay-dependent. Moreover, delay can switch the stability of the positive equilibrium. When the positive equilibrium loses stability, Hopf bifurcation can occur. The direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation is derived by applying the center manifold method and the normal form theory. The main theoretical results are illustrated with numerical simulations.  相似文献

A three dimensional ecoepidemiological model consisting of susceptible prey, infected prey and predator is proposed and analysed in the present work. The parameter delay is introduced in the model system for considering the time taken by a susceptible prey to become infected. Mathematically we analyze the dynamics of the system such as, boundedness of the solutions, existence of non-negative equilibria, local and global stability of interior equilibrium point. Next we choose delay as a bifurcation parameter to examine the existence of the Hopf bifurcation of the system around its interior equilibrium. Moreover we use the normal form method and center manifold theorem to investigate the direction of the Hopf bifurcation and stability of the bifurcating limit cycle. Some numerical simulations are carried out to support the analytical results.  相似文献

This article discusses a predator–prey system with predator saturation and competition functional response. The local stability, existence of a Hopf bifurcation at the coexistence equilibrium and stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are obtained in the absence of diffusion. Further, we discuss the diffusion-driven instability, Hopf bifurcation for corresponding diffusion system with zero flux boundary condition and Turing instability region regarding the parameters are established. We study a predator–prey model with the Allee effect on prey and whose dynamics is described by a system of stochastic differential equations assuming that environmental randomness is represented by noise terms affecting each population. More specifically, we consider a term that expresses the variability of the growth rate of both species due to external, unpredictable events. We assume that the intensities of these perturbations are proportional to the population size of each species. With this approach, we prove that the solutions of the system have sample pathwise uniqueness and bounded moments. Moreover, using an Euler–Maruyama-type numerical method we obtain approximated solutions of the system with different intensities for the random noise and parameters of the model. In the presence of a weak Allee effect, we show that long-term survival of both populations can occur. On the other hand, when a strong Allee effect is considered, we show that the random perturbations may induce the non-trivial attracting-type invariant objects to disappear, leading to the extinction of both species. Furthermore, we also find the Maximum Likelihood estimators for the parameters involved in the model.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate dynamical behaviours of a discrete predator–prey model with nonmonotonic functional response. Codimension-2 bifurcations associated with 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 resonances are analyzed by using bifurcation theory. Codimension-2 bifurcation diagrams, maximum Lyapunov exponents diagrams and phase portraits, which not only illustrate the validity of the theoretical results but also display some interesting complex dynamical behaviours, are obtained by numerical simulations.  相似文献

We consider a predator–prey model, where some prey are completely free from predation within a temporal or spacial refuge. The most common type of spacial refuge, that we investigate here, takes the form where a constant proportion of the prey population is protected. The model is a modification of the classical Nicholson–Bailey host-parasitoid model. In this paper, we study the effect of the presence of refuge on the stability and bifurcation of the system. Moreover, we provide a detailed analysis of the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation of the model.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence and nonexistence of nonconstant positive steady-state solutions to a ratio-dependent predator–prey model with diffusion and with the homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. We demonstrate that there exists a0(b) satisfying 0<a0(b)<m1 for 0<b<m1, such that if 0<b<m1 and a0(b)<a<m1, then the diffusion can create nonconstant positive steady-state solutions; whereas the diffusion cannot do provided a>m1.  相似文献

The present paper aims to provide a detailed qualitative analysis of a non-smooth Gause predator–prey model. In this model, the saturating functional response function with a discontinuity at a critical prey density was employed to show the effects of a prey refuge on the population dynamic behavior. Analysis of this model revealed rich dynamics including locally (or globally) stable canard cycles, a locally (globally) stable pseudo-equilibrium, unbounded trajectories in which both populations go to infinity or the prey goes to infinity and the predator dies out eventually. The main purpose of the present work is to carry out a completely qualitative analysis for this model. In particular, two sets of sufficient conditions drive both populations to approach infinity and the sufficient and necessary conditions for all of the other main results are presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a reaction–diffusion system of the population dynamics of two predators and one prey with prey-taxis and competition. We prove the global existence and uniform boundedness of the positive classical solutions for the fully parabolic system over a bounded domain with Neumann boundary conditions. Furthermore, we establish the asymptotic behavior of solutions by constructing some appropriate Lyapunov functionals.
