A device that forms a vertically diverging neutron beam is described. The device allows scanning at the angle of incidence of neutrons on a fluid surface in a reflectometer with a vertical scattering plane. Computer simulation of the former is carried out, and the beam characteristics (horizontal and vertical divergences and the neutron energy spectrum) are obtained. These characteristics are compared with experimental data. Three units are the main advantages of the former: specially fabricated input and output collimators and neutron filters. The reasons for differences in the experimental and simulated data are discussed.  相似文献

The temporal characteristics of the dynamic fracture of the titanium alloy VT-6 have been investigated under high-speed loading conditions. A relationship has been established between the process of dynamic tension of the specimen according to the Kolsky method and the surface erosion damage. A numerical analysis of the experimental data has been carried out. The method of erosion loading has been further developed as a tool for the dynamic testing of strength properties of materials.  相似文献

采用切削分层光扫描测量与计算机数据信息合成相结合的方法,有效地解决了具有复杂内外腔结构零件的三维数字化测量。该方法比传统三维测量速度快、自动化程度高,能同时准确测量零件内外腔表面,零件边缘测量误差可控制在CCD两个像素内。利用获取的铝合金精密小箱体三维数据,在计算机上重构了零件的三维模型,并用RP技术制造出了零件物理原形。  相似文献

X-ray fluorescence CT is a non-destructive technique for detecting elemental composition and distribution inside a specimen. In this paper, the first experimental results of X-ray fluorescence CT obtained at the SSRF X-ray imaging beamline (BL13W1) are described. The test samples were investigated and the 2D elemental image was reconstructed using a filtered back-projection algorithm. In the sample the element Cd was observed. Up to now, the X-ray fluorescence CT could be carried out at the SSRF X-ray imaging beamline.  相似文献

This study compares ultrasonic wave propagation modeling and experimental data in concrete. As a consequence of its composition and manufacturing process, this material has a high elastic scattering (sand and aggregates) and air (microcracks and porosities) content. The behavior of the "Waterman-Truell" and "Generalized Self Consistent Method" dynamic homogenization models are analyzed in the context of an application for strong heterogeneous solid materials, in which the scatterers are of various concentrations and types. The experimental validations of results predicted by the models are carried out by making use of the phase velocity and the attenuation of longitudinal waves, as measured by an immersed transmission setup. The test specimen material has a cement-like matrix containing spherical inclusions of air or glass, with radius close to the ultrasonic wavelength. The models are adapted to the case of materials presenting several types of scattering particle, and allow the propagation of longitudinal waves to be described at the scale of materials such as concrete. The validity limits for frequency and for particle volume ratio can be approached through a comparison with experimental data. The potential of these homogenization models for the prediction of phase velocity and attenuation in strongly heterogeneous solids is demonstrated.  相似文献

In the present work, an experimental study is carried out to estimate the mixed-mode stress intensity factors (SIF) for different cracked specimen configurations using digital image correlation (DIC) technique. For the estimation of mixed-mode SIF׳s using DIC, a new algorithm is proposed for the extraction of crack tip location and coefficients in the multi-parameter displacement field equations. From those estimated coefficients, SIF could be extracted. The required displacement data surrounding the crack tip has been obtained using 2D-DIC technique. An open source 2D DIC software Ncorr is used for the displacement field extraction. The presented methodology has been used to extract mixed-mode SIF׳s for specimen configurations like single edge notch (SEN) specimen and centre slant crack (CSC) specimens made out of Al 2014-T6 alloy. The experimental results have been compared with the analytical values and they are found to be in good agreement, thereby confirming the accuracy of the algorithm being proposed.  相似文献

This paper describes a speckle correlation technique for the determination of surface roughness, ranging from 1.6 to 50 μm. Instead of moving the laser beam, the specimen is rotated to achieve angular speckle correlation (ASC) in the far-field plane. The technique is simple and requires minimum optical alignment. The experimental results show a good agreement with the standard specimen of known roughness. An error analysis on the experiment has been carried out. Together with the theoretical curves, the roughness values can be easily related to the change of incidence angle at a particular visibility of the correlation fringes between two speckle patterns.  相似文献

The results of study on the influence of temperature and iron and antimony on the surface tension of liquid ternary Cu-Fe-Sb systems are presented. The measurements were carried out with the sessile drop method, in a broad range of the alloy additions concentration (Fe and Sb). It was demonstrated that the surface tension varies as a linear function of temperature and concentration of iron. It was also demonstrated that antimony, in examined alloys, shows the properties characteristic of a surface-active substance, significantly reducing the surface tension value. The changes of the surface tensions as a function of concentration of antimony were described with the Szyszkowski's equation. Composition of surface layer, enriched with an antimony, was determined basing on the model, which used data regarding properties of binary systems. The surface tension values of Cu-Fe-Sb systems was also computed from model and compared with experimental data. A good agreement was obtained.  相似文献

An improved method is proposed for revealing surface anomalies in structures by in situ relative measurement of acoustic energy absorption. Characterization and mapping of particular structures, such as plasters of antique mural paintings are taken into account as a possible application. In situ measurements of the acoustic energy absorption are carried out, employing a diagnostic technique based on the Cepstrum algorithm. Tests on samples with artificially prepared specimens, simulating surface anomalies, are described and a collection of acoustic images is presented. Properties of the specimens and features of the experimental technique are discussed.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to estimate two important material properties of the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymer by means of a single experimental test. The displacement fields around a crack tip are used for estimating the modulus of elasticity (or, Young's modulus) and Poisson's ratio. These parameters are evaluated by fitting linear fracture mechanic expression of displacement fields in the vicinity of the crack, for mode I, to the experimental data. Measurements of these displacements are carried out using digital image correlation (DIC) method. In this way, the experimental procedure is conducted by loading a double-edge-cracked plate specimen. In order to validate the results, two available experimental tests have been performed. The modulus of elasticity is determined by means of the tensile test, using a standard test machine. Moreover, the Poisson's ratio is obtained by measuring lateral compressive and longitudinal extensional strain using DIC method.  相似文献

介绍了一种基于双天线的高精度GPS定位测向系统,该系统可以实现精确定位、测向。分别从硬件和软件两个方面详细介绍了双天线GPS定位测向系统,双天线GPS系统的硬件部分主要由GPS接收机、主天线和从天线组成,GPS接收机内置OEM板和底层通信板,软件部分主要解析GPS数据处理模块的软件工作流程。通过静态实验和动态实验分析系统定位、测向的精度,实验数据表明静态实验的经度的标准偏差为0.3155米,纬度的标准偏差为0.1962米,第一次静态实验的测向标准偏差为0.0981°,第二次静态实验的测向标准偏差为0.0926°。最后,将此系统应用到无人水面艇,进行直线路径跟踪水上试验。  相似文献

An experimental investigation with 5 kW CW CO2 laser system was carried out to study the effects of different laser and process parameters on the microstructure and hardness of carbon steel specimen with varying carbon percentage. The laser beam is allowed to scan on the surface of the work piece varying the power (1.1–2.5 kW) and traverse speed (6–15 mm/s) at two different spot sizes using TEM01* mode laser beam. The most hardenable microstructure achieved in case of three grades of carbon steel and the most influencing parameter on the value of hardness are reported. Besides the above study, some multipass operations are also carried out to recommend an appropriate gap between consecutive passes.  相似文献

A calculation of the anisotropy of the magnetocalorlc effect caused by rotation of the spontaneous magnetization vectors, was carried out for single-crystal specimens of the hexagonal system. Comparison of the theoretical formulas with experimental data obtained on a spherical single-crystal cobalt specimen, made it possible to determine the derivatives of the cobalt anisotropy constants with respect to temperature.The authors are deeply indebted to I. The image-processing system based on a two-dimensional Fourier transform is presented for the analysis of Young’s fringes pattern created from a double-exposure speckle photograph. The fringe spacing and orientation are determined using only one Young’s fringes pattern without any other diffraction halo patterns. The stress-intensity factors of a mixed-mode interface crack were measured by speckle photography. A compact normal and shear specimen with an interface crack was employed. This specimen enables us to carry out the experiment under various kinds of mixed-mode loading. A steel and an epoxy resin were used as dissimilar materials. The displacement along the crack lines at the free surface was measured by speckle photography. The K1 and K11 values were determined by a least squares method using displacement data along the crack lines. Three-dimensional finite element analysis was carried out on the same specimen. An accuracy of stress intensity factors obtained by the speckle photography was discussed by comparison of results obtained by the finite element analysis.Presented at 1996 International Workshop on Interferometry (IWI ‘96), August 27–29, Saitama, Japan.  相似文献

In electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI), for a fast and objective analysis of measurement data which occur with a high repetition rate, an automated data processing is of particular advantage. For this reason, investigations were carried out to determine if the modulation of speckle interferograms can be applied as a quality parameter for the selection of suitable interferogram data for further evaluation e.g. phase unwrapping when spatial phase shifting (SPS) is performed. Six methods for determining the modulation of speckle interferograms are characterised and compared. The applicability of the speckle interferogram modulation as a parameter for mask generation in the unwrapping process of the phase difference is demonstrated by the evaluation of measurement data obtained from experiments with a spatial phase shifting endoscopic ESPI system on a technical surface and on a human gastrectomy specimen.  相似文献

In this paper, laser bending experiments were carried out on the stainless foil for producing negative bending angles. BM-dominated laser parameters, such as larger ratio of beam diameter to specimen thickness and lower scanning speed, help to produce negative bending angles. However, the bending direction in BM-dominated process will be uncertain due to the influence of the specimen's initial stress state and surface conditions. For this reason, experiments on stainless foil loaded with controlled pre-stresses were carried out for producing certain negative bending angles. The effect of the pre-stress and laser parameters are investigated experimentally. The experimental results show that negative bending angles could be produced conveniently when the pre-stresses were induced by elastic pre-bending which direction away from the laser beam, and the angles increase remarkably with the pre-stresses increasing. A set of reasonable laser parameters (laser power, scanning speed and beam diameter) for good quality negative bending angles forming were gotten by analyzing the effect of each parameter respectively in the experiments.  相似文献

Tensile tests have been carried out on aramid knitted fabrics/epoxy resin composites in which the aramid knitted fabrics are treated with different sizing agents. Two kinds of surface treatment are performed; one uses an epoxy sizing agent and the other uses a polyethylene sizing agent. Tensile modulus and strength of epoxy-sized composites are higher than those of polyethylene-sized composites. The fracture process is different between epoxy- and polyethylene-sized materials. This difference in fracture process is caused by the different interphase made from either epoxy or polyethylene sizing treatments, resulting in the different tensile performance. Moreover, the tensile properties of the wale specimen are more affected than those of the course specimen by the interphase.  相似文献

An alternative model for the prediction of surface roughness length is developed. In the model a new factor is introduced to compensate for the effects of wake diffusion and interactions between the wake and roughness obstacles. The experiments are carried out by the use of the hot wire anemometry in the simulated atmospheric boundary layer in a wind tunnel. Based on the experimental data, a new expression for the zero-plane displacement height is proposed for the square arrays of roughness elements, which highlights the influence of free-stream speed on the roughness length. It appears that the displacement height increases with the wind speed while the surface roughness length decreases with Reynolds number increasing. It is shown that the calculation results based on the new expressions are in reasonable agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

Quantitative ultrasonic characterization of cancellous bone can be complicated by artifacts introduced by analyzing acquired data consisting of two propagating waves (a fast wave and a slow wave) as if only one wave were present. Recovering the ultrasonic properties of overlapping fast and slow waves could therefore lead to enhancement of bone quality assessment. The current study uses Bayesian probability theory to estimate phase velocity and normalized broadband ultrasonic attenuation (nBUA) parameters in a model of fast and slow wave propagation. Calculations are carried out using Markov chain Monte Carlo with simulated annealing to approximate the marginal posterior probability densities for parameters in the model. The technique is applied to simulated data, to data acquired on two phantoms capable of generating two waves in acquired signals, and to data acquired on a human femur condyle specimen. The models are in good agreement with both the simulated and experimental data, and the values of the estimated ultrasonic parameters fall within expected ranges.  相似文献
