We analyze correlations between different approaches to the definition of the Hausdorff dimension of singular probability measures on the basis of fractal analysis of essential supports of these measures. We introduce characteristic multifractal measures of the first and higher orders. A self-conformal measure is a measure invariant under a set of conformal mappings. In this paper we describe the local structure of self-conformal measures. For such a measure we divide its support into sets of fixed local dimension and give a formula for the Hausdorff and packing dimensions of these sets. Given a positive locally finite Borel measure μ on R, a natural way to construct multifractal wavelet series is to set , where . Indeed, under suitable conditions, it is shown that the function Fμ inherits the multifractal properties of μ. The transposition of multifractal properties works with many classes of statistically selfsimilar multifractal measures, enlarging the class of processes which have self-similarity properties and controlled multifractal behaviors. Several perturbations of the wavelet coefficients and their impact on the multifractal nature of Fμ are studied. As an application, multifractal Gaussian processes associated with Fμ are created. We obtain results for the multifractal spectrum of the so-called W-cascades introduced by Arnéodo et al.  相似文献

We study hard-core (HC) models on Cayley trees. Given a 2-state HC-model, we prove that exactly two weakly periodic (aperiodic) Gibbs measures exist under certain conditions on the parameters. Moreover, we consider fertile 4-state HC-models with the activity parameter λ > 0. The three types of these models are known to exist. For one of the models we show that the translationinvariant Gibbs measure is not unique.  相似文献

The expectation of a local function on a stationary random field can be estimated from observations in a large window by the empirical estimator, that is, the average of the function over all shifts within the window. Under appropriate conditions, the estimator is consistent and asymptotically normal. Suppose that the field is a Gibbs field with known finite range of interactions but otherwise unknown potential. We show that the empirical estimator is efficient if and only if the function is (equivalent to) a sum of functions each of which depends only on the values of the field on a clique of sites. We introduce a new, and elementary, approximation method for bilevel optimization problems motivated by Stackelberg leader-follower games. Our technique is based on the notion of two-scale Gibbs measures. The first scale corresponds to the cost function of the follower and the second scale to that of the leader. We explain how to choose the weights corresponding to these two scales under very general assumptions and establish rigorous Γ-convergence results. An advantage of our method is that it is applicable both to optimistic and to pessimistic bilevel problems.

We are interested in the analysis of Gibbs measures defined on two independent Brownian paths in ?d interacting through a mutual self‐attraction. This is expressed by the Hamiltonian with two probability measures μ and ν representing the occupation measures of two independent Brownian motions. We will be interested in a class of potentials V that are singular , e.g., Dirac‐ or Coulomb‐type interactions in ?3, or the correlation function of the parabolic Anderson problem with white noise potential. The mutual interaction of the Brownian paths inspires a compactification of the quotient space of orbits of product measures, which is structurally different from the self‐interacting case introduced in [27], owing to the lack of shift‐invariant structure in the mutual interaction. We prove a strong large‐deviation principle for the product measures of two Brownian occupation measures in such a compactification and derive asymptotic path behavior under Gibbs measures on Wiener paths arising from mutually attracting singular interactions. For the spatially smoothened parabolic Anderson model with white noise potential, our analysis allows a direct computation of the annealed Lyapunov exponents, and a strict ordering of them implies the intermittency effect present in the smoothened model. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献
