In this paper, we solve the problem proposed by Lan Wen for the case of dimM = 3. Roughly speaking, we prove that for fixed i, f has C1 persistently no small angles of index i if and only if f has a dominated splitting of index i on the C1 i-preperiodic set P*i(f).  相似文献

$C^1$ linearization is of special significance because it preserves smooth dynamical behaviors and distinguishes qualitative properties in characteristic directions. However, $C^1$ smoothness is not enough to guarantee $C^1$ linearization. For $C^{1,1}$ hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on Banach spaces $C^1$ linearization was proved under a gap condition together with a band condition of the spectrum. In this paper, the result of $C^1$ linearization in Banach spaces is strengthened to $C^{1,\beta }$ linearization with a constant $\beta >0$ under a weaker band condition by a decomposition with invariant foliations. The weaker band condition allows the spectrum to be a union of more than two but finitely many bands but restricts those bands to be bounded by a number depending on the supremum of contractive spectrum and the infimum of expansive spectrum. Furthermore, we give an estimate for the exponent $\beta $ and prove that the estimate is sharp in the planar case.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove several results on the geometry of surfaces immersed in \(\mathbb {R}^3\) with small or bounded \(L^2\) norm of \(|A|\) . For instance, we prove that if the \(L^2\) norm of \(|A|\) and the \(L^p\) norm of \(H\) , \(p>2\) , are sufficiently small, then such a surface is graphical away from its boundary. We also prove that given an embedded disk with bounded \(L^2\) norm of \(|A|\) , not necessarily small, then such a disk is graphical away from its boundary, provided that the \(L^p\) norm of \(H\) is sufficiently small, \(p>2\) . These results are related to previous work of Schoen–Simon (Surfaces with quasiconformal Gauss map. Princeton University Press, Princeton, vol 103, pp 127–146, 1983) and Colding–Minicozzi (Ann Math 160:69–92, 2004).  相似文献

Lin and Su classified A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebras of real rank zero. This class includes all A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebras of real rank zero as well as many C*-algebras which are not stably finite. An A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra often becomes an extension of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra. In this paper, we show that there is an essential extension of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra which is not an A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra. We describe a characterization of an extension E of an A$ \mathbb{T} $ \mathbb{T} -algebra by an AF-algebra if E is an A$ \mathcal{T} $ \mathcal{T} -algebra.  相似文献

We prove that C2\mathcal{C}^{2} surface diffeomorphisms have symbolic extensions, i.e. topological extensions which are subshifts over a finite alphabet. Following the strategy of Downarowicz and Maass (Invent. Math. 176:617–636, 2009) we bound the local entropy of ergodic measures in terms of Lyapunov exponents. This is done by reparametrizing Bowen balls by contracting maps in a approach combining hyperbolic theory and Yomdin’s theory.  相似文献

In this paper, a theoretical framework is constructed on how to develop $C^0$ -nonconforming elements for the fourth order elliptic problem. By using the bubble functions, a simple practical method is presented to construct one tetrahedral $C^{0}$ -nonconforming element and two cuboid $C^{0}$ -nonconforming elements for the fourth order elliptic problem in three spacial dimensions. It is also proved that one element is of first order convergence and other two are of second order convergence. From the best knowledge of us, this is the first success in constructing the second-order convergent nonconforming element for the fourth order elliptic problem.  相似文献

We prove a \({C^\infty}\) closing lemma for Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms of closed surfaces. This is a consequence of a \({C^\infty}\) closing lemma for Reeb flows on closed contact three-manifolds, which was recently proved as an application of spectral invariants in embedded contact homology. A key new ingredient of this paper is an analysis of an area-preserving map near its fixed point, which is based on some classical results in Hamiltonian dynamics: existence of KAM invariant circles for elliptic fixed points, and convergence of the Birkhoff normal form for hyperbolic fixed points.  相似文献

Conservative subtheories of ${{R}^{1}_{2}}$ and ${{S}^{1}_{2}}$ are presented. For ${{S}^{1}_{2}}$ , a slight tightening of Je?ábek??s result (Math Logic Q 52(6):613?C624, 2006) that ${T^{0}_{2} \preceq_{\forall \Sigma^{b}_{1}}S^{1}_{2}}$ is presented: It is shown that ${T^{0}_{2}}$ can be axiomatised as BASIC together with induction on sharply bounded formulas of one alternation. Within this ${\forall\Sigma^{b}_{1}}$ -theory, we define a ${\forall\Sigma^{b}_{0}}$ -theory, ${T^{-1}_{2}}$ , for the ${\forall\Sigma^{b}_{0}}$ -consequences of ${S^{1}_{2}}$ . We show ${T^{-1}_{2}}$ is weak by showing it cannot ${\Sigma^{b}_{0}}$ -define division by 3. We then consider what would be the analogous ${\forall\hat\Sigma^{b}_{1}}$ -conservative subtheory of ${R^{1}_{2}}$ based on Pollett (Ann Pure Appl Logic 100:189?C245, 1999. It is shown that this theory, ${{T}^{0,\left\{2^{(||\dot{id}||)}\right\}}_{2}}$ , also cannot ${\Sigma^{b}_{0}}$ -define division by 3. On the other hand, we show that ${{S}^{0}_{2}+open_{\{||id||\}}}$ -COMP is a ${\forall\hat\Sigma^{b}_{1}}$ -conservative subtheory of ${R^{1}_{2}}$ . Finally, we give a refinement of Johannsen and Pollett (Logic Colloquium?? 98, 262?C279, 2000) and show that ${\hat{C}^{0}_{2}}$ is ${\forall\hat\Sigma^{b}_{1}}$ -conservative over a theory based on open cl-comprehension.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with iterative solution to general Sylvester-conjugate matrix equation of the form $\sum_{i = 1}^{s} A_{i}V + \sum_{j = 1}^{t} B_{j}W = \sum_{l = 1}^{m} E_{l}\overline{V}F_{l} + C$ . An iterative algorithm is established to solve this matrix equation. When this matrix equation is consistent, for any initial matrices, the solutions can be obtained within finite iterative steps in the absence of round off errors. Some lemmas and theorems are stated and proved where the iterative solutions are obtained. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献
