Selectively substituted indolo[3,2,1-jk] carbazole (IC) molecules have been synthesized through flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP) and then electro-oxidized, resulting in the formation of redox-active and electronically conducting thin films consisting exclusively of three highly luminescent dimer species, the 2,2'-, 2,10'-, and 10,10'-coupled dimers. DFT calculation has enabled both the accurate calculation of monomer oxidation potentials and the prediction of the nature of the resulting dimers through consideration of the coupling of the oxidized monomer radical cations. This demonstrates that substituted ICs represent a class of molecules able to form redox-active and conducting dimer films of controlled composition upon oxidation and that DFT calculations can be used to inform the synthesis of specific IC monomers most likely to both produce electronically conducting thin-film materials and yield specific luminescent dimers with desirable materials properties.  相似文献

Flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP) of indol-1-ylacrylate derivatives 11 and 15 or the isomeric indol-3-ylacrylates 21, 22, and 24 at 925 degrees C (0.05 Torr) provides pyrrolo[1,2-a]indol-3-ones 2, 18, 28, and 29 in 53-90% yield by a cascade mechanism that involves a sigmatropic migration, elimination, electrocyclization sequence. Pyrrolo[1,2-a]imidazol-5-ones 3 and pyrrolo[1,2-c]imidazol-5-ones 4 were similarly obtained by FVP of corresponding 2,5-unsubstituted imidazol-1-ylacrylates (e.g., 33), with the former isomer predominating in ca. 80:20 ratio. Migration to the 2-position is therefore favored in the initial sigmatropic shift. FVP of 2-substituted imidazol-1-ylacrylates 35, 37, and 51 (825-875 degrees C) instead give pyrrolo[1,2-c]imidazol-5-ones 56-58 only (88-91%), and that of 4,5-disubstituted imidazol-1-ylacrylates 39 and 41 (825-850 degrees C) provide pyrrolo[1,2-a]imidazol-5-ones 59 and 60 exclusively (93-95%), and thus the selectivity of the initial shift can be controlled by the presence of substituents on the imidazole 2- and 5-positions. FVP of the benzimidazole analogues 61 and 62 at 950 degrees C gave the pyrrolo[1,2-a]benzimidazol-1-ones 6 (71%) and 63 (36%), respectively.  相似文献

Synthesis of indolo[6,7-a]pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazoles 1, a new class of cyclin D1/CDK4 inhibitors, by oxidation of the corresponding aryl indolylmaleimides 2, will be described. Two approaches to the synthesis of 2 were identified that required new methods for the synthesis of 7-substituted indole acetamides 3 and N-methyl (indol-7-yl)oxoacetates 6. The chemistry developed enabled introduction of functionality (-OR, NR(2)) at C(12) and N(13) facilitating structure-activity relationship (SAR) evaluation of this indolocarbazole platform.  相似文献

Isoindolo[2,1-a]indol-6-one 1 is formed by a sigmatropic shift-elimination-cyclisation cascade by flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP) of methyl 2-(indol-1-yl)benzoate 7 at 950 degrees C. The dihydro compound 16 is easily obtained by catalytic reduction of 1, but the reaction is very sensitive to steric effects at the 11-position. Attempted ring-opening of 1 in basic methanol provides an equilibrium of isoindolo[2,1-a]indol-6-one 1 and the ester 19. Lithium aluminium hydride reduction of 1 provides the alcohol 22 which can be dehydrated to a mixture of 23 and 24 by FVP at 800-950 degrees C.  相似文献

Under the influence of acids 3-formylindole forms urorosein (the salt of di(indol-3-yl)methylium) which is unstable in solution and decomposes to give a series of indole derivatives, among which 6-(indol-3-yl)-5H,7H-indolo[2,3-b]carbazole and tri(indol-3-yl)methylium salt predominate. N,N′-Dimethylurorosein in solution also forms a mixture of indole derivatives, from which tri(1-methylindol-3-yl)methylium salt, 5N,11N-dimethylindolo[3,2-b]carbazole and its 6-(1-methylindol-3-yl) derivative were isolated. The one-pot reaction of 2-tert-butylthio-3-phenylcyclopropenethione (1a) and its 3-(2-thienyl) derivative (1b) with lithium pyrrolidinide at -70 degrees C, followed by methylation with methyl iodide, gives 6-methylthio-5-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolizine (2a) and its 5-(2-thienyl) derivative (2b), respectively. The reaction of 2-tert-butylthio-3-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)cyclopropenethione (1c) with phenyllithium gives also 2a in a high yield under similar conditions, and the reactions of 1a with N-lithium salts of 3-pyrroline, hexamethyleneimine, indoline, and carbazole, piperidine-potassium tert-butoxide mixture, and phenyllithium give 6-methylthio-5-phenyl-3H-pyrrolizine (3), 2-methylthio-3-phenyl-6,7, 8,9-tetrahydro-5H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]azepine (5), 6-tert-butylthio-5-methylthio-4-phenyl-1,2-dihydro-6H-pyrrolo[3,2, 1-ij]quinoline (6), 4-tert-butylthio-5-methylthio-6-phenyl-4H-pyrido[3,2,1-jk]carbazole (7), 2-methylthio-3-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroindolizine (4), and 1-tert-butylthio-2-methylthio-3-phenylindene (9), respectively. Pyrrolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole 1a , the previously unreported 16π-electron parent compound, has been synthesized by treatment of pyrrolo[3,2,1-kl]phenothiazine 2a with a 1:1 mixture of bis(1,5-cyclooctadiene) nickel(0) and 2,2′-bipyridyl. An unequivocal assignment of the 1H nmr spectrum of 1a was made by decoupling experiments and by comparison with the 1H nmr spectrum of 1,9-dideuteriopyrrolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole 1b . Metastable ion studies, exact mass measurements and the dideuterioderivative 1b were utilized to investigate the electron impact induced fragmentation of 1a .  相似文献

p-TsOH catalyzed Diels-Alder reaction of 3-(indol-3-yl)maleimides with 3-phenacylideneoxindoles in toluene at 80 °C for two hours afforded cis/trans isomers of 3a',4′,6′,10c'-tetrahydrospiro[indoline-3,5′-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazoles] in nearly comparable yields, which could be easily converted to the corresponding 4′,6′-dihydrospiro[indoline-3,5′-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazole] in high yields and with high diastereoselectivity by further DDQ oxidation. Additionally, the similar reaction of 3-(indol-3-yl)maleimides with 2-arylidene-1,3-indanediones in toluene 80 °C and sequential DDQ oxidation afforded functionalized dihydrospiro[indene-2,5′-pyrrolo[3,4-c]carbazoles] as major products.  相似文献

Upon treatment with 30 mol % of Co2(CO)(8) and 30 mol % of TMTU in toluene at 70 degrees C, benzene-bridged alkynecarbodiimides efficiently underwent a ring-closing reaction to give the pyrrolo[2,3-b]indol-2-ones in good yields. These conditions could nearly suppress the formation of the urea derivatives, which were consistently observed when 10 mol % of Co2(CO)(8) and 60 mol % of TMTU in benzene were used. The synthesis of the eight hexahydropyrrolo[2,3-b]indole alkaloids was accomplished from the resulting pyrrolo[2,3-b]indol-2-ones via the introduction of an angular substituent at the C(3a)-position by treatment with NaBH(4)/alkyl bromide as the crucial step.  相似文献

A series of substituted 1,2-dihydro-6-oxo-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-5-carboxylic acids for the treatment of systemic infections was synthesized via 7-bromo-3-ethylthio-4,5-difluoro-2-methylindole (3), which was prepared by Gassman's indole synthesis in excellent yield. The synthesized pyrroloquinolines were tested for their antibacterial activities. 8-Fluoro-1,2-dihydro-2-methyl-9-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-6-oxo-6H- pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-5-carboxylic acid showed a potent antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.  相似文献

Reactions of 3-[(N-aryl-N-chloroacetyl)amino]-2-formylindoles with substituted anilines gave 1,4-diaryl-2-oxo-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro[1,4]diazepino[6,5-b]indol-4-ium chlorides and those with 4-aminopyridine yielded 4-amino-1-(1-aryl-2-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrido[3,2-b]indol-3-yl)pyridinium chlorides. Reduction of 1,2,3,6-tetrahydrodiazepinoindol-4-ium chlorides afforded the corresponding hexahydro derivatives. An alternative synthesis of 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3-oxo-4-phenyl-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro[1,4]diazepino[6,5-b]indole from 3-[N-(4-nitrophenyl)amino]-2-[(phenylimino)methyl]indole was developed. 9,10 - dihydro - 8bH - quino[1,2-f]phenanthridine - derivatives 2 and 6 - phenyl - 4,5,6,7 -tetrahydropyrido[3,2,1 -j,k]carbazole - derivatives 17 were synthesized by photodehydrogenation of the 1,2 -diphenylquinoliniumperchlorates 7 and the 1,2 - diphenyl -1,2,3,4 - tetrahydroquinolines 1 respectively.The intermediate 1,2 - diphenylquinoliniumsalts 7 were obtained by Skraup-synthesis between diphenylamine and acrolein, followed by a Grignard-reaction and iodine/sodiumacetate oxidation. The intermediate tetrahydroquinoline derivatives 1 were prepared by t catalyzed cyclization of the corresponding 3 - (o - anilinophenyl) - 1 - phenyl - 1 - propanol - derivatives 16 and platinum(IV)oxide/palladium on activated carbon-reduction of the higher mentioned 1,2 - diphenylquinoliniumsalts 7.  相似文献

A series of novel organic dyes (ICZA1, ICZA2, ICZA3, ICZA4) with D-π-A structural configuration incorporating indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole moiety as donor (D) unit, thiophene as π-linker and 2-cyanoacrylic acid as acceptor unit were investigated using density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) methods. Indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole-based D-π-A dyes composed of different acceptor groups were designed. By modulating acceptor unit, the efficiency of D-π-A dye-based dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) can be further improved. In the present work, four novel push-pull organic dyes only differing in electron acceptor, have been designed based on the experimental literature value of IC-2. In order to further improve the light harvesting capability of indolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole dyes, the acceptor influence on the dye performance were examined. The NLO property of the designed dye molecules can be derived as polarizability and hyperpolarizability. The calculated value of ICZA2 dye is the best candidate for NLO properties. Furthermore, the designed organic dyes exhibit good photovoltaic performance of charge transfer characteristics, driving force of electron injection, dye regeneration, global reactivity, and light harvesting efficiency (LHE). From the calculated value of ICZA4 dye, it has been identified as a good candidate for DSSCs applications. Finally, it is concluded that the both ICZA2 and ICZA4 dyes theoretically agrees well with the experimental value of IC-2 dye. Hence, the dyes ICZA2 and ICZA4 can serve as an excellent electron withdrawing groups for NLO and DSSCs applications.  相似文献

Aryl radicals generated ortho to aryl substituents by flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP) of the corresponding aryl chlorides are shown to be capable of transferring hydrogen atoms between the ortho and ortho' positions (1,4-shifts of hydrogen atoms). In the examples described here, the rearranged aryl radicals are trapped by subsequent radical cyclization reactions. For example, FVP of 2-(o-chlorophenyl)benzo[c]phenanthrene gives 1-phenylbenzo[ghi]fluoranthene as the major product by homolysis of the C-Cl bond, 1,4-shift of a hydrogen atom out of the sterically congested cove region to the radical center, cyclization of the rearranged radical, and rearomatization of the molecule by loss of the other cove region hydrogen. In a control experiment run under the same conditions, FVP of 2-phenylbenzo[c]phenanthrene, which lacks a radical precursor, gave primarily recovered starting material. When the FVP was repeated using 2-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)benzo[c]phenanthrene as the starting material, benzo[a]corannulene was obtained as the major product, presumably by the same cascade of events to produce 1-(o-chlorophenyl)benzo[ghi]fluoranthene, which then suffers a second radical cyclization spontaneously under the high-temperature conditions to give the geodesic polyarene.  相似文献

Condensation of 1H-indole-3-ethanamines 1 with cyclic β-keto esters 2 under azeotropic conditions followed by acid-catalyzed ring closure of the resulting enamines 3 gave 2′,3′,4′,9′-tetrahydrospiro[piperidine-3,1′,-[1H]pyrido[3,4-b]indole] -4-carboxylic acid alkyl esters 4 . Condensation of 1 with 2-acylcycloalkanones 8 gave two types of enamines, 10 and 11 , respectively. Enamines 10 on treatment with acid gave 1-(2′,3′,4′,9′-tetrahydro-3H-pyrido[3,4-b]indol-1-yl)-1-alkylcyclohexanols 17 . Series of 3-arylalkyl- or 3-alkylamino-4-(indol-1-yl)maleimides and bis(indol-1-yl)maleimides were synthesised. The cyclization of the 3-substituted 4-(indol-1-yl)maleimides under the action of acids resulted in the formation of diazepine[1,4] derivatives with indoline and maleimide nuclei annelated. These compounds readily produced the corresponding indolomaleimidodiazepines[1,4] after dehydrogenation.  相似文献

The title compound, 2,10-di-tert-butylindolo[3,2,1-jk]carbazole (C26H27N, Mr=353.49), has been synthesized by palladium-catalyzed intramolecular arylation and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and X-ray crystal structure determination. The crystal crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a=13.6409(5), b=11.6706(4), c=13.1678(5), β=100.6180(10)°, V=2060.39(13)3 , Z=4, Dc=1.140 mg/m3 , μ=0.065mm-1 , F(000)=760, the final R=0.0456 and wR=0.1209 for 3012 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)).  相似文献

Reactions of benzotriazol-1-yl(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)methanone 10 and benzotriazol-1-yl(1H-indol-2-yl)methanone 11 with diverse ketones, isocyanates, and isothiocyanates in the presence of base afforded pyrrolo[1,2-c]oxazol-1-ones 1, oxazolo[3,4-a]indol-1-ones 2, pyrrolo[1,2-c]imidazoles 3, and imidazo[1,5-a]indoles 4 by a simple one-step procedure.  相似文献
