We study the single-photon blockade (1PB), two-photon blockade (2PB), and photon-induced tunneling (PIT) effects in a cavity-atom optomechanical system in which a two-level atom is coupled to a single-model cavity field via a two-photon interaction. By analyzing the eigenenergy spectrum of the system, we obtain a perfect 1PB with a high occupancy probability of single-photon excitation, which means that a high-quality and efficient single-photon source can be generated. However, PIT often occurs in many cases when we consider 2PB in analogy to 1PB. In addition, we find that a 2PB region will present in the optomechanical system, which can be proved by calculating the correlation function of the model analytically.  相似文献

本文提出在多模光力系统中实现声子阻塞.多模光力系统由一个机械模和两个光学模组成.研究发现,当光学模与机械模同时受到外加驱动场作用时,即使在弱光力耦合条件下也可以实现声子阻塞效应,即非传统声子阻塞效应;给出了非传统声子阻塞效应出现的最佳条件.另外,发现通过调节外加驱动场间强度的比值和相位差可以控制声子的统计性质,这为实现可控的单声子源提供了一个有效方法.最后,讨论了热声子对非传统声子阻塞的不利影响,发现适当提高驱动场强度有利于观测非传统声子阻塞效应.  相似文献

A method of improving the sensitivity of laser-interferometer-based gravitational-wave detectors by using double (two-frequency) optical pumping is proposed. Proper selection of the optical parameters of each pump wave allows implementation of the so-called “negative inertia,” that is, an increase in the detector’s mechanical response to an external force in a wide frequency range, which is equivalent to the reduction of the inertial masses of the test bodies of the detector, while their gravitational masses remain the same. This effect allows overcoming the standard quantum limit of sensitivity for a free mass in a wide frequency range due to an enhanced signal response, rather than due to the mutual compensation of quantum noises, as in other methods. The advantage of the proposed method is its much higher immunity to the noise caused by optical losses as compared to schemes based on mutual compensation of quantum noises. A practical scheme of the gravitational-wave detector based on the “negative-inertia” effect is explored, and a set of optimal optical parameters facilitating achieving a maximum signal-to-noise ratio for the main types of astrophysical gravitational-wave sources is obtained.  相似文献

In order to understand our previous numerical finding that steady-state entanglement along the instability boundary remains unchanged in a three-mode optomechanical system [Phys. Rev. A 101 023838 (2020)], we investigate in detail the boundary entanglement in a simpler two-mode optomechanical system. Studies show that both the mechanism to generate entanglement and the parameter dependence of boundary entanglement are quite similar in these two models. Therefore, the two-mode system has captured the main features in the three-mode system. With the help of analytical calculations and discussing in a much bigger parameter interval, we find that the unchanging behavior previously discovered is actually an extremely slow changing behavior of the boundary entanglement function, and most importantly, this nearly invariant boundary entanglement is a general phenomenon via parametric down conversion process in the weak dissipation regime. This is by itself interesting as threshold quantum signatures in optomechanical phonon lasers, or may have potential value in related applications based on boundary quantum properties.  相似文献

We study the correlation statistics of phonon radiations in a weakly driven optomechanical system. Three dominated scattering processes are identified by the scattering theory analytically and the master equation numerically, whose interplay determines the phonon statistical properties. Our results show that for the large detuning, the driving field off-resonant with the system induces a small emission rate of two anti-bunched phonons. For the resonant driving field, there is a relatively large emission rate of two bunched phonons.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to generate stationary quadripartite entanglement in two-mode optical Fabry-Perot cavity, which consisted of the same two fixed mirrors and the same two perfectly reflective movable mirrors. We treat the whole two-cavity fields-two movable mirrors system as intrinsically quadripartite and investigate quadripartite continuous-variable (CV) entanglement among them. Using the criterion proposed by Loock and Furrsawa, we demonstrate that genuine quadripartite CV entanglement can be generated in this system. This system will provide a way to create genuine quadripartite entanglement in a macroscopic level and will hold good prospects for quantum information and quantum networks.  相似文献

Optomechanical systems with strong coupling can be a powerful medium for quantum state engineering of the cavity modes. Here, we show that quantum state conversion between cavity modes of distinctively different wavelengths can be realized with high fidelity by adiabatically varying the effective optomechanical couplings. The conversion fidelity for gaussian states is derived by solving the Langevin equation in the adiabatic limit. Meanwhile, we also show that traveling photon pulses can be transmitted between different input and output channels with high fidelity and the output pulse can be engineered via the optomechanical couplings.  相似文献

A scheme for remote weak-signal sensors is proposed,in which a coupled-resonator optical waveguide(CROW),as a transmitter,couples to a hybrid optomechanical cavity and an observing cavity at its two ends.Non-Markovian theory is employed to study the weak-force sensor by treating the CROW as a non-Markovian reservoir of cavity fields.The dissipationless bound states in the non-Markovian regime are conducive to remotely transmitting a signal in the CROW.Our results show that a sensor with ultrahigh sensitivity can be achieved with the assistance of bound states under certain parameter regimes.  相似文献

We present experimental evidence of the optical spring effect in a silica microtoroid resonator. The variation of the measured mechanical resonant frequency as a function of optical power, optical coupling, and optical detuning is in very good agreement with a model for radiation-pressure-induced rigidity in a silica microtoroid.  相似文献

A systematic method is proposed for calculating the density matrix of subsystems interacting with their environment under conditions of thermodynamic equilibrium. The density matrix of photons resonantly interacting with a surrounding gas is calculated. It is shown that use of the Gibbs distribution allows one to completely eliminate inelastic processes from the calculations. A correct account of photon-photon correlators indicates the presence of new cooperative effects. A new branch of the polariton spectrum is predicted, which is due to the presence of excited atoms in the medium. With the help of the density matrix the mean filling numbers of the photon modes are calculated. In terms of wavelengths, we have obtained a generalization of the Planck formula which accounts for photon cooperative phenomena. The manifestation of these effects in kinetic processes is discussed. 光子自旋霍尔效应类似于电子系统中的电子自旋霍尔效应, 是在折射率梯度和光子分别扮演的外场和自旋电子的角色下, 由自旋-轨道相互作用而产生的光子自旋分裂现象. 光子自旋霍尔效应为操控光子提供了新的途径, 同时也提供了一种精确测量相关物理效应的方法. 本文研究了磁光克尔效应中光子自旋分裂现象, 建立了磁光克尔旋转与光子自旋霍尔效应之间的定量关系, 并通过弱测量系统观测了磁场作用下铁膜表面的光子自旋分裂位移, 得到相应的磁光旋转角, 验证了我们所推导的理论预测. 本文的研究成果为精确测量磁光克尔系数和磁光克尔旋转角提供了一种新方法.  相似文献

Optomechanical systems couple light stored inside an optical cavity to the motion of a mechanical mode. Recent experiments have demonstrated setups, such as photonic crystal structures, that in principle allow one to confine several optical and vibrational modes on a single chip. Here we start to investigate the collective nonlinear dynamics in arrays of coupled optomechanical cells. We show that such "optomechanical arrays" can display synchronization, and that they can be described by an effective Kuramoto-type model.  相似文献

A cavity optomechanical magnetometer is demonstrated. The magnetic-field-induced expansion of a magnetostrictive material is resonantly transduced onto the physical structure of a highly compliant optical microresonator and read out optically with ultrahigh sensitivity. A peak magnetic field sensitivity of 400 nT Hz(-1/2) is achieved, with theoretical modeling predicting the possibility of sensitivities below 1 pT Hz(-1/2). This chip-based magnetometer combines high sensitivity and large dynamic range with small size and room temperature operation.  相似文献

An optomechanical scheme of the interaction between a photon subsystem, which consists of two quantum modes, and a mechanical oscillator mirror, which is also considered as a quantum system, has been proposed. The conditions of the appearance of the easily controllable bistability of the position of the mirror have been discussed. The modification of the scheme for ensuring the controllable bistability of the position of the cloud of the atomic Bose condensate is possible.  相似文献
