The synthesis of isoquinolines by site‐selective C? H activation of O‐acyl oximes with a Cp*CoIII catalyst is described. In the presence of this catalyst, the C? H activation of various unsymmetrically substituted O‐acyl oximes selectively occurred at the sterically less hindered site, and reactions with terminal as well as internal alkynes afforded the corresponding products in up to 98 % yield. Whereas the reactions catalyzed by the Cp*CoIII system proceeded with high site selectivity (15:1 to 20:1), use of the corresponding Cp*RhIII catalysts led to low selectivities and/or yields when unsymmetrical O‐acyl oximes and terminal alkynes were used. Deuterium labeling studies indicate a clear difference in the site selectivity of the C? H activation step under Cp*CoIII and Cp*RhIII catalysis.  相似文献

The unique reactivity of [Cp*CoIII] over [Cp*RhIII] was demonstrated. A cationic [Cp*CoIII] catalyst promoted direct dehydrative C? H allylation with non‐activated allyl alcohols, thus giving C2‐allylated indoles, pyrrole, and phenyl‐pyrazole in good yields, while analogous [Cp*RhIII] catalysts were not effective. The high γ‐selectivity and C2‐selectivity indicated that the reaction proceeded by directing‐group‐assisted C? H metalation. DFT calculations suggested that the γ‐selective substitution reaction proceeded by C? H metalation and insertion of a C? C double bond, with subsequent β‐hydroxide elimination. The [Cp*CoIII] catalyst favored β‐hydroxide elimination over β‐hydride elimination.  相似文献

[Cp*RhIII]‐catalyzed C? H activation of arenes assisted by an oxidizing N? O or N? N directing group has allowed the construction of a number of hetercycles. In contrast, a polar N? O bond is well‐known to undergo O‐atom transfer (OAT) to alkynes. Despite the liability of N? O bonds in both C? H activation and OAT, these two important areas evolved separately. In this report, [Cp*RhIII] catalysts integrate both areas in an efficient redox‐neutral coupling of quinoline N‐oxides with alkynes to afford α‐(8‐quinolyl)acetophenones. In this process the N? O bond acts as both a directing group for C? H activation and as an O‐atom donor.  相似文献

Herein, we report an unprecedented regioselective and entirely atom‐economic cobalt(III)‐catalyzed method for the non‐annulative, intermolecular carboamination of alkenes. The methodology enables the direct synthesis of unnatural amino acid derivatives and proceeds under redox‐neutral conditions with a completely regioselective C?C bond and C?N bond formation. Furthermore, this reaction exemplifies the inherently different mechanistic behavior of the Cp*CoIII catalyst and its Cp*RhIII counterpart, especially towards β‐H‐elimination.  相似文献

Metal‐catalyzed hydroacylation of olefins represents an important atom‐economic synthetic process in C?H activation. For the first time highly efficient RhIIICp*‐catalyzed hydroacylation was realized in the coupling of N‐sulfonyl 2‐aminobenzaldehydes with both conjugated and aliphatic olefins, leading to the synthesis of various aryl ketones. Occasionally, oxidative coupling occurred when a silver(I) oxidant was used.  相似文献

The mechanism of the [(Cp*MCl2)2] (M=Rh, Ir)‐catalyzed oxidative annulation reaction of isoquinolones with alkynes was investigated in detail. In the first acetate‐assisted C? H‐activation process (cyclometalated step) and the subsequent mono‐alkyne insertion into the M? C bonds of the cyclometalated compounds, both Rh and Ir complexes participated well. However, the desired final products, dibenzo[a,g]quinolizin‐8‐one derivatives, were only formed in high yield when the Rh species participated in the final oxidative coupling of the C? N bond. Moreover, a RhI sandwich intermediate was isolated during this transformation. The iridium complexes were found to be inactive in the oxidative coupling processes. All of the relevant intermediates were fully characterized and determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. Based on this mechanistic study, a RhIII→RhI→RhIII catalytic cycle was proposed for this reaction.  相似文献

Metal‐catalyzed functionalizations at the ortho position of a directing group have become an efficient bond‐forming strategy. A wide range of transformations that employ Cp*RhIII catalysts have been described, but despite their synthetic potential, enantioselective variants that use chiral versions of the Cp* ligand remain scarce (Cp*=pentamethyl cyclopentadienyl). Cyclopentadienyl compounds with an atropchiral biaryl backbone are shown to be suitable ligands for the efficient intramolecular enantioselective hydroarylation of aryl hydroxamates. Dihydrofurans that bear methyl‐substituted quaternary stereocenters are thus obtained by C? H functionalization under mild conditions.  相似文献

We report a RhIII‐catalyzed regio‐ and diastereoselective synthesis of δ‐lactams from readily available acrylamide derivatives and unactivated alkenes. The reaction provides a rapid route to a diverse set of δ‐lactams in good yield and stereoselectivity, which serve as useful building blocks for substituted piperidines. The regioselectivity of the reaction with unactivated terminal alkene is significantly improved by using Cpt ligand on the RhIII catalyst. The synthetic utility of the reaction is demonstrated by the preparation of a potential drug candidate containing a trisubstituted piperidine moiety. Mechanistic studies show that the reversibility of the C?H activation depends on the choice of Cp ligand on the RhIII catalyst. The irreversible C?H activation is observed and becomes turnover‐limiting with [CptRhCl2]2 as catalyst.  相似文献

A protocol for the three‐component 1,4‐carboamination of dienes is described. Synthetically versatile Weinreb amides were coupled with 1,3‐dienes and readily available dioxazolones as the nitrogen source using [Cp*RhCl2]2‐catalyzed C?H activation to deliver the 1,4‐carboaminated products. This transformation proceeds under mild reaction conditions and affords the products with high levels of regio‐ and E‐selectivity. Mechanistic investigations suggest an intermediate RhIII–allyl species is trapped by an electrophilic amidation reagent in a redox‐neutral fashion.  相似文献

Cp*RhIII/IrIII complexes are known to play important roles in both C?H activation and transfer hydrogenation (TH). However, these two areas evolved separately. They have been integrated in redox‐ and chemodivergent coupling reactions of N‐pyridylanilines with enones. The iridium‐catalyzed coupling with enones leads to the efficient synthesis of tetrahydroquinolines through TH from iPrOH. Counterintuitively, iPrOH does not serve as the sole hydride source, and the major reaction pathway involves disproportionation of a dihydroquinoline intermediate, followed by the convergent and iterative reduction of quinolinium species.  相似文献

The first Cp*RhIII‐catalyzed arylation of unactivated C(sp3)? H bonds is presented. The unactivated primary C(sp3)? H bond of 2‐alkylpyridines can be activated by RhIII and further reacts with triarylboroxines to efficiently build new C(sp3)? aryl bonds. The methodology also provides a facile and efficient synthesis of unsymmetrical triarylmethanes by RhIII‐catalyzed C(sp3)? H arylation of diarylmethanes.  相似文献

The bidentate P,N hybrid ligand 1 allows access for the first time to novel cationic phosphinine‐based RhIII and IrIII complexes, broadening significantly the scope of low‐coordinate aromatic phosphorus heterocycles for potential applications. The coordination chemistry of 1 towards RhIII and IrIII was investigated and compared with the analogous 2,2′‐bipyridine derivative, 2‐(2′‐pyridyl)‐4,6‐diphenylpyridine ( 2 ), which showed significant differences. The molecular structures of [RhCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl and [IrCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl (Cp*=pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) were determined by means of X‐ray diffraction and confirm the mononuclear nature of the λ3‐phosphinine–RhIII and IrIII complexes. In contrast, a different reactivity and coordination behavior was found for the nitrogen analogue 2 , especially towards RhIII as a bimetallic ion pair [RhCl(Cp*)( 2 )]+[RhCl3(Cp*)]? is formed rather than a mononuclear coordination compound. [RhCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl and [IrCl(Cp*)( 1 )]Cl react with water regio‐ and diastereoselectively at the external P?C double bond, leading exclusively to the anti‐addition products [MCl(Cp*)( 1 H ? OH)]Cl as confirmed by X‐ray crystal‐structure determination.  相似文献

RhIII and IrIII complexes based on the λ3‐P,N hybrid ligand 2‐(2′‐pyridyl)‐4,6‐diphenylphosphinine ( 1 ) react selectively at the P?C double bond to chiral coordination compounds of the type [( 1 H ? OH)Cp*MCl]Cl ( 2 , 3 ), which can be deprotonated with triethylamine to eliminate HCl. By using different bases, the pKa value of the P? OH group could be estimated. Whereas [( 1 H ? O)Cp*IrCl] ( 4 ) is formed quantitatively upon treatment with NEt3, the corresponding rhodium compound [( 1 H ? O)Cp*RhCl] ( 5 ) undergoes tautomerization upon formation of the λ5σ4‐phosphinine rhodium(III) complex [( 1? OH)Cp*RhCl] ( 6 ) as confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Blocking the acidic P? OH functionality in 3 by introducing a P? OCH3 substituent leads directly to the λ5σ4‐phosphinine iridium(III) complex ( 8 ) upon elimination of HCl. These new transformations in the coordination environment of RhIII and IrIII provide an easy and general access to new transition‐metal complexes containing λ5σ4‐phosphinine ligands.  相似文献

A highly atom economical and stereoselective synthesis of tetrasubstituted α,β‐unsaturated amides was achieved by a Cp*CoIII‐catalyzed C−H alkenylation/directing group migration sequence. A carbamoyl directing group, which is typically removed after C−H functionalization, worked as an internal acylating agent and migrated onto the alkene moiety of the product. The directing group migration was realized with the Cp*CoIII catalyst, while a related Cp*RhIII catalyst did not promote the migration process. The product was further converted into two types of tricyclic compounds, one of which had fluorescent properties.  相似文献

A combination of Cp*RhIII‐catalyzed C−H activation and Wagner–Meerwein‐type rearrangement was successfully achieved for the first time. Thus, bridged polycyclic molecules that are not readily accessible by other means were accessed under mild conditions with high efficiency (as low as 0.5 mol % Rh catalyst) in the coupling of N ‐phenoxyacetamide with 7‐azabenzonorbornadiene.  相似文献

Enantioselective construction of axially chiral biaryls by direct C? H bond functionalization reactions has been realized. Novel axially chiral biaryls were synthesized by the direct C? H bond olefination of biaryl compounds, using a chiral [Cp*RhIII] catalyst, in good to excellent yields and enantioselectivities. The obtained axially chiral biaryls were found as suitable ligands for rhodium‐catalyzed asymmetric conjugate additions.  相似文献

An efficient Cp*CoIII‐catalyzed C8‐dienylation of quinoline‐N‐oxides was achieved by employing allenes bearing leaving groups at the α‐position as the dienylating agents. The reaction proceeds by CoIII‐catalyzed C?H activation of quinoline‐N‐oxides and regioselective migratory insertion of the allene followed by a β‐oxy elimination, leading to overall dienylation. Site‐selective C?H activation was achieved with excellent selectivity under mild reaction conditions, and 30 mol % of a NaF additive was found to be crucial for the efficient dienylation. The methodology features high stereoselectivity, mild reaction conditions, and good functional‐group tolerance. C8‐alkenylation of quinoline‐N‐oxides was achieved in the case of allenes devoid of leaving groups as coupling partners. Furthermore, gram‐scale preparation and preliminary mechanistic experiments were carried out to gain insights into the reaction mechanism.  相似文献
