THE WEINSTEIN CONJECTURE ON C~1-SMOOTH HYPERSURFACE OF CONTACT TYPE

In this note a symplectic capacity of Hofer-Zehnder type that is only invariant under C1-symplectomorphisms is defined and all computation formulae for Hofer-Zehnder symplectic capacity obtained at present are proved still holding for it. As a consequence some results on Weinstein conjecture are generalized to C1-smooth hypersurface of contact type.

ON THE STRUCTURE OF COHOMOLOGY RINGS OF p-NILPOTENT LIE ALGEBRAS

In this paper the authors investigate the structure of the restricted Lie algebra cohomology of p-nilpotent Lie algebras with trivial p-power operation. Our study is facilitated by a spectral sequence whose E ₂-term is the tensor product of the symmetric algebra on the dual of the Lie algebra with the ordinary Lie algebra cohomology and converges to the restricted cohomology ring. In many cases this spectral sequence collapses, and thus, the restricted Lie algebra cohomology is Cohen–Macaulay. A stronger result involves the collapsing of the spectral sequence and the cohomology ring identifying as a ring with the E ₂-term. We present criteria for the collapsing of this spectral sequence and provide some examples where the ring isomorphism fails. Furthermore, we show that there are instances when the spectral sequence does not collapse and yields cohomology rings which are not Cohen-Macaulay.     

ON THE COHOMOLOGY OF A SPACE CURVE CONTAINING A PLANE CURVE

In this paper we study the Hartshorne–Rao module of curves in P ³ of degree d and genus g, containing plane curves of degree d ? p, p ≥ 1. We prove an optimal upper bound for the Rao function of these curves and we show that the curves attaining the bound are obtained from an extremal curve by an elementary biliaison of height min(p, d ? p) ? 1 on a quadric surface.     

ON THE SOBOLEV DOLBEAULT COHOMOLOGY OF A DOMAIN WITH PSEUDOCONCAVE BOUNDARIES

In this note,we mainly make use of a method devised by Shaw [15] for studying Sobolev Dolbeault cohomologies of a pseudoconcave domain of the type ■,where ■ and ■ are bounded pseudoconvex domains in Cⁿ with smooth boundaries,and ■ are mutually disjoint.The main results can also be quickly obtained by virtue of [5].     

ON DE RHAM AND DOLBEAULT COHOMOLOGY OF SOLVMANIFOLDS

For a simply connected (non-nilpotent) solvable Lie group G with a lattice Γ the de Rham and Dolbeault cohomologies of the solvmanifold G/Γ are not in general isomorphic to the cohomologies of the Lie algebra g of G. In this paper we construct, up to a finite group, a new Lie algebra eg whose cohomology is isomorphic to the de Rham cohomology of G/Γ by using a modification of G associated with an algebraic sub-torus of the Zariski-closure of the image of the adjoint representation. This technique includes the construction due to Guan and developed by the first two authors. In this paper, we also give a Dolbeault version of such technique for complex solvmanifolds, i.e., for solvmanifolds endowed with an invariant complex structure. We construct a finite-dimensional cochain complex which computes the Dolbeault cohomology of a complex solvmanifold G/Γ with holomorphic Mostow bundle and we give a construction of a new Lie algebra \( \overset{\smile }{\mathfrak{g}} \) with a complex structure whose cohomology is isomorphic to the Dolbeault cohomology of G/Γ.

SINGULAR INTEGRAL EQUATIONS ON THE REAL AXIS WITH SOLUTIONS HAVING SINGULARITIES OF HIGHER ORDER

We transform the singular integral equations with solutions simultaneously having singularities of higher order at infinite point and at several finite points on the real axis into ones along a closed contour with solutions having singularities of higher order, and for the former obtain the extended Neother theorem of complete equation as well as the solutions and the solvable conditions of characteristic equation from the latter. The conclusions drawn by this article contain special cases discussed before.

REGULARITIES AND SINGULARITIES OF THE ENERGY MINIMIZERS OF THE HEISENBERG GROUP TARGETS

COMPLETE CONVERGENCE THEORY OF THE CONTACT PROCESS ON Td × Z

The author considers the contact process on a branching plane Td× Z, which is the product of a regular tree Td and the line Z. It is shown that above the second critical point, the complete convergence theory holds.
