Unprecedented 16-electron gold(i) olefin complexes of general formula [Au(bipy(R,R'))(eta(2)-olefin)](PF(6)) and [Au(2)(bipy(R,R'))(2)(mu-eta(2):eta(2)-diolefin)](PF(6))(2) (bipy(R,R') = 6-substituted-2,2'-bipyridine) have been prepared by reaction of dinuclear gold(III) oxo complexes [Au(2)(bipy(R,R'))(2)(mu-O)(2)](PF(6))(2) with the appropriate olefin. The X-ray crystal structures of two mononuclear complexes (olefin = styrene) show in-plane coordination of the olefin and a C[double bond, length as m-dash]C bond distance considerably lengthened with respect to the free olefin. The spectroscopic properties of the complexes are discussed and compared with those of analogous d(10) metal derivatives. Both structural and spectroscopic information indicate a substantial contribution of pi-back-donation to the Au-olefin bond in the three-coordinate species. Theoretical calculations carried out at the hybrid-DFT level on the model compound [Au(bipy)(eta(2)-CH(2)[double bond, length as m-dash]CH(2))](+) show excellent agreement with the experimental findings giving in addition an estimate of a pi-back-bonding contribution higher than that of the sigma-bonding.  相似文献

Coordination of N,N' bidentate ligands aryl-pyridin-2-ylmethyl-amine ArNH-CH2-2-C5H4N 1 (Ar = 4-CH3-C6H4, 1a; 4-CH3O-C6H4, 1b; 2,6-(CH3)2-C6H3, 1c; 4-CF3-C6H4, 1d) to the moieties [Ru(bipy)2]2+, [Ru(eta5-C5H5)L]+ (L = CH3CN, CO), or [Ru(eta6-arene)Cl]2+ (arene = benzene, p-cymene) occurs under diastereoselective or diastereospecific conditions. Detailed stereochemical analysis of the new complexes is included. The coordination of these secondary amine ligands activates their oxidation to imines by molecular oxygen in a base-catalyzed reaction and hydrogen peroxide was detected as byproduct. The amine-to-imine oxidation was also observed under the experimental conditions of cyclic voltammetry measurements. Deprotonation of the coordinated amine ligands afforded isolatable amido complexes only for the ligand (1-methyl-1-pyridin-2-yl-ethyl)-p-tolyl-amine, 1e, which doesn't contain hydrogen atoms in a beta position relative to the N-H bond. The structures of [Ru(2,2'-bipyridine)2(1b)](PF6)2, 2b; [Ru(2,2'-bipyridine)(2)(1c)](PF6)2, 2c; trans-[RuCl2(COD)(1a)], 3; and [RuCl2(eta6-C6H6)(1a)]PF6, 4a, have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

Compounds [RuII(bipy)(terpy)L](PF6)2 with bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine, terpy = 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine, L = H2O, imidazole (imi), 4-methylimidazole, 2-methylimidazole, benzimidazole, 4,5-diphenylimidazole, indazole, pyrazole, 3-methylpyrazole have been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, ESI-MS and UV/Vis (in CH3CN and H2O). For L = H2O, imidazole, 4,5-diphenylimidazole and indazole the X-ray structures of the complexes have been determined with the crystal packing featuring only few intermolecular C-H...pi or pi-pi interactions due to the separating action of the PF6-anions. Complexes with L = imidazole and 4-methylimidazole exhibit a fluorescence emission with a maximum at 662 and 667 nm, respectively (lambdaexc= 475 nm, solvent CH3CN or H2O). The substitution of the aqua ligand in [Ru(bipy)(terpy)(H2O)]2+ in aqueous solution by imidazole to give [Ru(bipy)(terpy)(imi)]2+ is fastest at a pH of 8.5 (as followed by the increase in emission intensity). Coupling of the [Ru(bipy)(terpy)]2+ fragment to cytochrome c(Yeast iso-1) starting from the Ru-aqua complex was successful at 35 degrees C and pH 7.0 after 5 d under argon in the dark. The [Ru(bipy)(terpy)(cyt c)]-product was characterized by UV/Vis, emission and mass spectrometry. The location where the [Ru(bipy)(terpy)] complex was coupled to the protein was identified as His44 (corresponding to His39 in other numbering schemes) using digestion of the Ru-coupled protein by trypsin and analysis of the tryptic peptides by HPLC-high resolution MS.  相似文献

Four new Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(bpy)(2)(4,4'-BP2bpy)][PF(6)](2) (1), [Ru(t-Bu-bpy)(2)(4,4'-BP2bpy)][PF(6)](2) (2), [Ru(bpy)(2)(5,5'-BP2bpy)][PF(6)](2) (3), and [Ru(t-Bu-bpy)(2)(5,5'-BP2bpy)][PF(6)](2) (4) have been synthesized (where 4,4'-BP2bpy = 4,4'-bis(BMes(2)phenyl)-2,2'-bpy; 5,5'-BP2bpy = 5,5'-bis(BMes(2)phenyl)-2,2'-bpy (4,4'-BP2bpy); and t-Bu-bpy = 4,4'-bis(t-butyl)-2,2'-bipyridine). These new complexes have been fully characterized. The crystal structures of 3 and 4 were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. All four complexes display distinct metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) phosphorescence that has a similar quantum efficiency as that of [Ru(bpy)(3)][PF(6)](2) under air, but is at a much lower energy. The MLCT phosphorescence of these complexes has been found to be highly sensitive toward anions such as fluoride and cyanide, which switch the MLCT band to higher energy when added. The triarylboron groups in these compounds not only introduce this color switching mechanism, but also play a key role in the phosphorescence color of the complexes.  相似文献

The [Ru(bipy)(2)(1)](PF(6))(2) (bipy refers to 2,2'-bipyridine) complex, comprising a ruthenium(II) tris(2,2'-bipyridine) luminophore covalently linked to a di[(o-triethyleneglycoxy)phenyl]amine crown ether 1, has been synthesized and fully characterized. The photophysical properties of this metal complex have been examined in solution at ambient temperature. Luminescence from the metal complex is enhanced significantly in the presence of various adventitious cations, including protons. In particular, Li(+) cations bind to the crown ether, as evidenced by (1)H NMR and luminescence spectroscopy. Cation binding serves to decrease the rate of reductive quenching of the triplet state of the metal complex, thereby increasing the extent of luminescence. The solution-phase conformation of [Ru(bipy)(2)(1)](PF(6))(2), with and without encapsulated Li(+), has been examined by 2-D NMR and by molecular dynamics simulations.  相似文献

Addition of 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) to [Ni(NO)(bipy)][PF(6)] (1) results in formation of a rare five-coordinate nickel nitrosyl [Ni(NO)(bipy)(2)][PF(6)] (2). This complex exhibits a bent NO(-) ligand in the solid state. On standing in acetonitrile, 2 furnishes the NO coupled product, [Ni(κ(2)-O(2)N(2))(bipy)] (8) in moderate yield. Subsequent addition of 2 equiv of acetylacetone (H(acac)) to 8 results in formation of [Ni(acac)(2)(bipy)], N(2)O, and H(2)O. Preliminary mechanistic studies suggest that the N-N bond is formed via a bimetallic coupling reaction of two NO(-) ligands.  相似文献

Luminescent cyclometalated rhodium(III) and iridium(III) complexes of the general formula [M(ppy) 2(N (wedge)N)][PF 6], with N (wedge)N = Hcmbpy = 4-carboxy-4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyridine and M = Rh ( 1), Ir ( 2) and N (wedge)N = H 2dcbpy = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine and M = Rh ( 3), Ir ( 4), were prepared in high yields and fully characterized. The X-ray molecular structure of the monocarboxylic iridium complex [Ir(ppy) 2(Hcmbpy)][PF 6] ( 2) was also determined. The photophysical properties of these compounds were studied and showed that the photoluminescence of rhodium complexes 1 and 3 and iridium complexes 2 and 4 originates from intraligand charge-transfer (ILCT) and metal-to-ligand charge-transfer/ligand-centered MLCT/LC excited states, respectively. For comparison purposes, the mono- and dicarboxylic acid ruthenium complexes [Ru(DIP) 2(Hcmbpy)][Cl] 2 ( 5) and [Ru(DIP) 2(H 2dcbpy)][Cl] 2 ( 6), where DIP = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, were also prepared, whose emission is MLCT in nature. Comparison of the photophysical behavior of these rhodium(III), iridium(III), and ruthenium(II) complexes reveals the influence of the carboxylic groups that affect in different ways the ILCT, MLCT, and LC states.  相似文献

The synthesis and electronic properties of dinuclear ([(bipy)2Ru(I)M(terpy)][PF6]4(bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine, terpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine; M = Ru, Os)) and trinuclear ([[(bipy)2Ru(I)]2M][PF6]6 M = Ru, Os, Fe, Co) complexes bridged by 4'-(2,2'-bipyridin-4-yl)-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine (I) have been investigated and are compared with those of mononuclear model complexes. The electrochemical analysis using cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry reveals that there are no interactions in the ground state between adjacent metal centres. However, there is strong electronic communication between the 2,2'-bipyridine and 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine components of the bridging ligand. This conclusion is supported by a step-by-step reduction of the dinuclear and trinuclear complexes and the assignment of each electrochemical process to localised ligand sites within the didentate and terdentate domains. The investigation of the electronic absorption and emission spectra reveals an energy transfer in the excited state from the terminating bipy-bound metal centres to the central terpy-bound metal centre. This indicates that the bridge is able to facilitate energy transfer in the excited state between the metal centres despite the lack of interactions in the ground state.  相似文献

Numerous reports describe the photoluminescence of two- and three-coordinate gold(I)-phosphine complexes, but emission in their analogous four-coordinate complexes is almost unknown. This work examines the luminescence of tetrahedral gold(I) complexes of the types [Au(diphos)(2)]PF(6) (diphos = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, 1) and [Au(2)(tetraphos)(2)](PF(6))(2) (tetraphos = (R,R)-(+/-)/(R,S)-1,1,4,7,10,10-hexaphenyl-1,4,7,10-tetraphosphadecane, (R,R)-(+/-)/(R,S)-2). Although nonemitting in solution, these complexes luminesce with an intense yellow color (lambda(max) 580-620 nm) at 293 K in the solid state or when immobilized as molecular dispersions within solid matrixes. The excited-state lifetimes of the emissions (tau 4.1-9.4 micros) are markedly dependent on the inter- and intramolecular phenyl-phenyl pairing interactions present. At 77 K in an ethanol glass, two transitions are observed: a minor emission at lambda(max) 415-450 nm and a major emission at lambda(max) 520-595 nm. For [Au(1)(2)]PF(6), lifetimes of tau 251.0 +/- 20.5 micros were determined for the former transition and tau 14.9 +/- 4.6 micros for the latter. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations and comparative studies indicate that the former of these emissions involves triplet LMCT pi(Ph) --> Au(d)-P(p) transitions associated with individual P-phenyl groups. The latter emissions, which are the only ones observed at 293 K, are assigned to LMCT pi(Ph-Ph) --> Au(d)-P(p) transitions associated with excited P-phenyl dimers. Other tetrahedral gold(I)-phosphine complexes containing paired P-Ph substituents display similar emissions. The corresponding phosphine ligands, whether free, protonated, or bound to Ag(I), do not exhibit comparable emissions. Far from being rare, luminescence in four-coordinate Au(I)-phosphine complexes appears to be general when stacked P-phenyl groups are present.  相似文献

We report a high yield, two-step synthesis of fac-[Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 from the known complex [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)Cl]PF6 (p-cym = eta(6)-p-cymene). [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 is prepared by reacting [(p-cymene)Ru(bpy)Cl]PF6 with AgNO3/KNO2 or AgNO2. The 15NO2 analogue is prepared using K15NO2. Displacement of p-cymene from [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 by acetonitrile gives [Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6. The new complexes [(p-cym)Ru(bpy)NO2]PF6 and fac-[Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 have been fully characterized by 1H and 15N NMR, IR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal structure determination. Reaction of [Ru(bpy)(CH3CN)3NO2]PF6 with the appropriate ligands gives the new complexes [Ru(bpy)(Tp)NO2] (Tp = HB(pz)3-, pz = 1-pyrazolyl), [Ru(bpy)(Tpm)NO2]PF6 (Tpm = HC(pz)3), and the previously prepared [Ru(bpy)(trpy)NO2]PF6 (trpy = 2,2',6',2' '-terpyridine). Reaction of the nitro complexes with HPF6 gives the new nitrosyl complexes [Ru(bpy)TpNO][PF6]2 and [Ru(bpy)(Tpm)NO][PF6]3. All complexes were prepared with 15N-labeled nitro or nitrosyl groups. The nitro and nitrosyl complexes were characterized by 1H and 15N NMR and IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal structure determination for [Ru(bpy)TpNO][PF6]2. For the nitro complexes, a linear correlation is observed between the nitro 15N NMR chemical shift and 1/nu(asym), where nu(asym) is the asymmetric stretching frequency of the nitro group.  相似文献

The reaction of AuI with 2 equiv of TabHPF6 [TabH = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiol] in the presence of excess Et3N in dimethylformamide (DMF)/MeOH afforded a binuclear gold(I) complex [Au(Tab)2]2I2.2H2O (1). Anion exchange of 1 with NH4PF6 in DMF gave rise to the more soluble complex [Au(Tab)2]2(PF6)2 (2). Treatment of 2 with K[Au(CN)2] produced a tetranuclear gold(I) complex {[(Tab)2Au][Au(CN)2]}2 (3). Analogous reactions of two known mononuclear complexes [Ag(Tab)2](PF6) (4) and [Hg(Tab)2](PF6)2 (5) with 1 or 2 equiv of K[Au(CN)2] generated one Ag2Au2 complex {[(Tab)2Ag][Au(CN)2]}2 (6) and one Au/Hg complex {[Hg(Tab)2][Au(CN)2]2} (7), respectively. Compounds 1-3, 6, and 7 were fully characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-vis spectra, 1H NMR, and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. 1 and 2 have a similar [Au(Tab)2]2(2+) dimeric structure in which the two [Au(Tab)2]+ cations are connected via one Au-Au aurophilic interaction. In the structure of 3 or 6, each of the two pairs of [M(Tab)2]+ cation and [Au(CN)2]- anion is held together via ionic interactions to form a {[(Tab)2M][Au(CN)2]} species (M = Au, 3; Ag, 6). Two such species are further connected by one Au-Au aurophilic bonding interaction to form an uncommon Au(4) or Ag2Au2 linear string structure with three ligand-unsupported metal-metal bonds. For 7, the [Hg(Tab)2]2+ dication and the [Au(CN)2]2(2-) dianion are interconnected by the secondary Hg...N(CN) interactions to form a 1D chain structure. The thermal and luminescent properties of 1-3, 6, and 7 in solid state were also investigated.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization, and photophysical properties of the N6-N5C bichromophoric [(bpy)2Ru(I)Ru(ttpy)][PF6]3 (bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine and ttpy is 4'-p-tolyl-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine) and [(bpy)2Ru(II)Ru(ttpy)][PF6]3 (I and II are bpy-dipyridylbenzene ditopic ligands bridged by an ethynyl and phenyl unit, respectively) complexes are reported together with the model mononuclear complexes [(bpy)2Ru(I)][PF6]2, [(bpy)2Ru(II)][PF6]2, [Ru(VI)(ttpy)][PF6] (VI is 3,5-di(2-pyridyl)-biphenyl) and [Ru(dpb)(ttpy)][PF(6)] (Hdpb is 1,3-di(2-pyridyl)-benzene). The electrochemical data show that there is little ground state electronic communication between the metal centers in the bimetallic complexes. Selective excitation of the N(5)C unit in the bichromophoric systems leads to luminescence typical for a bis-tridentate cyclometallated ruthenium complex and is similar to the [Ru(VI)(ttpy)][PF6] model complex. In contrast, the luminescence from the tris-bidentate N6 unit is efficiently quenched by energy transfer to the N5C unit. The energy transfer rate has been determined by femtosecond pump-probe measurements to 0.7 ps in the ethynyl-linked [(bpy)2Ru(I)Ru(ttpy)][PF6]3 and to 1.5 ps in the phenyl-linked [(bpy)2Ru(II)Ru(ttpy)][PF6]3 (in acetonitrile solution at 298 K), and is inferred to occur via a Dexter mechanism.  相似文献

A series of structurally related oxo-bridged binuclear gold(III) compounds, [Au2(mu-O)2(N;N)2](PF6)2, where N;N is 2,2'-bipyridine or a substituted 2,2'-bipyridine, have recently been shown to exhibit appreciable stability under physiological-like conditions and to manifest important antiproliferative effects toward selected human tumor cell lines (J. Med. Chem. 2006, 49, 5524). The crystal structures of four members of this series, namely, [Au2(mu-O)2(bipy)2](PF6)2, cis-[Au2(mu-O)2(6-Mebipy)2](PF6)2, trans-[Au2(mu-O)2(6-oXylbipy)2](PF6)2, and [Au2(mu-O)2(6,6'-Me2bipy)2](PF6)2, have been solved here and the respective structural parameters comparatively analyzed. Remarkably, all of the compounds contain a common structural motif consisting of a Au2O2 "diamond core" linked to two bipyridine ligands in a roughly planar arrangement. Interestingly, introduction of different kinds of alkyl or aryl substituents on the 6 (and 6') position(s) of the bipyridine ligand leads to small structural changes that nonetheless greatly affect the reactivity of the metal centers. The chemical behavior of these compounds in solution has been studied in detail, focusing in particular on the electrochemical properties. Some initial correlations among the structural parameters, the chemical behavior in solution, and the known cytotoxic effects of these compounds are proposed. Notably, we have found that the 6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine derivative, which showed the largest structural deviations with respect to the model compound [Au2(mu-O)2(bipy)2](PF6)2, also had the highest oxidizing power, the least thermal stability, and the greatest cytotoxic activity. The positive correlation that exists between the oxidizing power and the antiproliferative effects seems to be of particular interest. Moreover, the electronic structures of these compounds were extensively analyzed using DFT methods, and the effects of the various substituents on reactivity were predicted; overall, very good agreement between theoretical expectations and experimental data was achieved. In turn, theoretical predictions offer interesting hints for the design of new, more active binuclear gold(III) compounds.  相似文献

A new family of ruthenium complexes of general formula [Ru(DIP)2(L2)]2+, where DIP = 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline, a bidentate ligand with an extended aromatic system, was prepared and fully characterized. When L is a monodentate ligand, the following complexes were obtained: L = CF3SO3(-1) (2), CH3CN (3), and MeOH (4). When L2 is a bidentate ligand, the compounds [Ru(DIP)2(Hcmbpy)][Cl]2 (5) and [Ru(DIP)2(H2dcbpy)][Cl]2 (6) were prepared (Hcmbpy = 4-carboxy-4'-methyl-2,2-bipyridine, H2dcbpy = 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine). Complex [Ru(DIP)2(MeOH)2][OTf]2 (4) displayed a trans configuration of the DIP ligands, which is rare for octahedral complexes featuring DIP bidentate ligands. DFT calculations carried out on 4 showed that the cis isomer is more stable by 12.2 kcal/mol relative to the trans species. The solution behaviors of monocarboxylic complex [Ru(DIP)2(Hcmbpy)][Cl]2 (5) and dicarboxylic complex [Ru(DIP)2(H2dcbpy)][Cl]2 (6) were investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy. VT-NMR, concentration dependence, and reaction with NaOD allowed us to suggest that aggregation of the cationic species in solution, especially for 6, originates mainly from hydrogen bonding interactions.  相似文献

A series of cyanide-bridged complexes that combine a low-valent photoacceptor rhenium(I) metal center with an electroactive midvalent rhenium(V) complex were prepared. The synthesis involved the preparation of novel asymmetric rhenium(V) oxo compounds, cis-Re(V)O(CN)(acac(2)en) (1) and cis-Re(V)O(CN)(acac(2)pn) (2), formed by reacting trans-[Re(V)O(OH(2))(acac(2)en)]Cl or trans-Re(V)O(acac(2)pn)Cl with [NBu(4)][CN]. The μ-bridged cyanide mixed-oxidation Re(V)-Re(I) complexes were prepared by incubating the asymmetric complexes, 1 or 2, with fac-[Re(I)(bipy)(CO)(3)][OTf] to yield cis-[Re(V)O(acac(2)en)(μ-CN-1κC:2κN)-fac-Re(I)(bipy)(CO)(3)][PF(6)] (3) and [cis-Re(V)O(acac(2)pn)(μ-CN-1κC:2κN)-fac-Re(I)(bipy)(CO)(3)][PF(6)] (4), respectively.  相似文献

Mononuclear palladium hydroxo complexes of the type [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(OH)] [(N[bond]N = 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy), 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine (Me(2)bipy), 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), or N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmeda)] have been prepared by reaction of [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(acetone)]ClO(4) with KOH in methanol. These hydroxo complexes react, in methanol, with CO (1 atm, room temperature) to yield the corresponding methoxycarbonyl complexes [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(CO(2)Me)]. Similar alkoxycarbonyl complexes [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(CO(2)R)] (N[bond]N = bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methane); R = Me, Et, or (i)Pr) are obtained when [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))Cl] is treated with KOH in the corresponding alcohol ROH and CO is bubbled through the solution. The reactions of [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(OH)] (N[bond]N = bipy or Me(2)bipy) with CO(2), in tetrahydrofuran, lead to the formation of the binuclear carbonate complexes [(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))Pd(mu-eta(2)-CO(3))Pd(C(6)F(5))(N[bond]N)]. Complexes [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))(OH)] react in alcohol with PhNCS to yield the corresponding N-phenyl-O-alkylthiocarbamate complexes [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))[SC(OR)NPh]]. Similarly, the reaction of [Pd(bipy)(C(6)F(5))(OH)] with PhNCO in methanol gives the N-phenyl-O-methylcarbamate complex [Pd(bipy)(C(6)F(5))[NPhC(O)OR]]. The reactions of [(N[bond]N)Pd(C(6)F(5))(OH)] with PhNCS in the presence of Et(2)NH yield the corresponding thioureidometal complexes [Pd(N[bond]N)(C(6)F(5))[NPhCSNR(2)]]. The crystal structures of [Pd(tmeda)(C(6)F(5))(CO(2)Me)], [Pd(2)(Me(2)bipy)(2)(C(6)F(5))(2)(mu-eta(2)-CO(3))].2CH(2)Cl(2), and [Pd(tmeda)(C(6)F(5))[SC(OMe)NPh]] have been determined.  相似文献

The rates of chloride for triphenylphosphine substitution have been measured in dichloromethane for a series of cyclometalated [Pt(N-N-C)Cl] complexes containing a number of terdentate N-N-C anionic ligands, derived from deprotonated alkyl-, phenyl-, and benzyl-6-substituted 2,2'-bipyridines. These rates have been compared with those of the corresponding [Pt(N-N)(C)Cl] (N-N = 2,2'-bipyridine; C = CH3 or C6H5) complexes having the same set of donor atoms but less constrained arrangements of the ligands. The reactions of the cyclometalated compounds occur as a single-stage conversion from the substrate to the ionic pair [Pt(N-N-C)(PPh3)]Cl products. There is no evidence by 1H and 31P(1H) NMR spectroscopy for the formation of other Pt(II) species or of concurrent ring-opening processes. In contrast, in the monoalkyl- or monoaryl-2,2'-bipyridine complexes, chloride substitution is followed by subsequent slower processes which involve the detachment of one arm of the chelated 2,2'-bipyridine, fast cis to trans isomerization of the cis-[Pt(PPh3)2(eta 1-bipy)(R)]+ transient intermediate, and, eventually, the release of free bipy, yielding trans-[Pt(PPh3)2(R)Cl] (R = Me or Ph). All reactions are first-order with respect to complex and phosphine concentration, obeying the simple rate law kobsd = k2[PPh3]. The values of the second-order rate constant k2 do not seem particularly sensitive to the nature of the bonded organic moiety (alkyl or aryl), to its structure (cyclometalated or not), to the size of the ring, or to the number of alkyl substituents on it. The effects are those foreseen on the basis of an associative mode of activation. The only exception to this pattern of behavior is constituted by the complex [Pt(bipy phi-H)Cl] (bipy phi = 6-phenyl-2,2'-bipyridine), which features a significant rate enhancement with respect to the analogue [Pt(bipy)(Ph)Cl] complex. The results of this work, together with those of a previous paper, suggest that there is not a specific role of cyclometalation in controlling the reactivity, unless an in-plane aryl ring becomes part of the pi-acceptor system of the chelated 2,2-bipyridine, behaving as a cyclometalated analogue of the nitrogen terdentate 2,2':6',2"-terpyridine.  相似文献

6-(1-Methylpyrrol-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine, 3, and 6-(selenophene-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine, 4, have been prepared and characterized in solution and by structural determinations. Copper(I) complexes [CuL(2)][PF(6)] in which L is 2,2'-bipyridine substituted in the 6-position by furyl, thienyl, N-methylpyrrolyl, selenopheneyl, methyl or phenyl, (L = 1-6) have been synthesized. The complexes have been characterized by electrospray mass spectrometry, and solution NMR and UV-VIS spectroscopies. The single crystal structures of [Cu(1)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(2)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(3)(2)][PF(6)], [Cu(5)(2)][PF(6)] and [Cu(6)(2)][PF(6)] have been determined. In those compounds containing an aromatic substituent attached to the bpy unit, the substituent is twisted with respect to the latter. In [Cu(3)(2)][PF(6)] and [Cu(5)(2)][PF(6)], this results in intra-cation π-stacking between ligands which is very efficient in [Cu(3)(2)](+) despite the steric requirements of the N-methyl substituents. Face-to-face stacking between the ligands in the [Cu(2)(2)](+) ion is achieved by complementary substituent twisting and elongation of one Cu-N bond, but there is no analogous intra-cation π-stacking in [Cu(1)(2)](+). Ligand exchange reactions between [CuL(2)][PF(6)] (L = 1-6) and TiO(2)-anchored ligands 7-10 (L' = 2,2'-bipyridine-based ligands with CO(2)H or PO(OH)(2) anchoring groups) have been applied to produce 24 surface-anchored heteroleptic copper(i) complexes, the formation of which has been evidenced by using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and thin layer solid state diffuse reflectance electronic absorption spectroscopy. The efficiencies of the complexes as dyes in DSCs have been measured, and the best efficiencies are observed for [CuLL'] with L' = 10 which contains phosphonate anchoring groups.  相似文献

Organometallic complexes to be used as single component precursors in the catalytic dimerization/polymerization of olefins usually must contain a labile ligand that can easily be displaced by the olefin. This is the first step in the activation of the precursor. One commonly used labile ligand is a nitrile. Here we report an example of incompatibility between the nickel or palladium aryl bond and acetonitrile. Neutral [MBr(Mes)NN] complexes in which Mes=2,4,6-Me3C6H2, NN=diazabutadiene (DAD), pyridinylimine (PIM), 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) gave the expected [M(Mes)(3,5-lut)(NN)][BF4] compounds and the unexpected [Ni(Mes){NH=C(Me)(2,4,6-Me3C6H2)}(NN)][BF4] complexes in the presence of TlBF4 and 3,5-lutidine or acetonitrile. The sequence of reactions that leads to the imine ligand must include an initial insertion of the nitrile on the sigma(Ni-Mes) bond. These ionic complexes remain stable under 20 bar of ethylene.  相似文献
