用微透镜阵列聚焦放大的钛宝石飞秒激光脉冲到PMMA内部,在每个微透镜的焦点处造成光学损伤,通过改变焦点的位置,实现了三维数据的写入,用800 μJ 1 kHz重复率的飞秒激光记录速度达到20Mbit/s.阐述了数据信息的调制、写入和读出,分析了微透镜阵列参数对存储密度、数据记录速度和能量阈值的影响,建议了提高存储密度的两种有效途径. 关键词: 三维光存储 微透镜阵列 飞秒激光 PMMA  相似文献

A novel method for producing rewritable optical memory with ultra-high storage density and ultra-high recording and readout speed is presented. A 120 fs, 800 nm, 1 kHz laser focused by an objective lens is used to produce recording bits in glass with high transmittance contrast. These recording bits can be erased by heat-treatment. The mechanism has been discussed by means of the absorption and electron spin resonance(ESR) spectra of silicate glasses before and after irradiation by the laser. The absorption of glasses increases greatly after irradiation because of color-center generation through multi-photon absorption. ESR spectra shows that the color-center induced in the glass are hole-trapped defects. The color-center disappears when the glass heated because the holes and electrons at traps are released by thermal stimulation and recombine again.  相似文献

A femtosecond (fs) laser application for multi-layer optical recording is investigated. Information patterns at different layer depths were written inside a transparent glass substrate due to micro-void formation by fs laser ablation, which causes re-distribution in glass materials and a refractive index modification. The information bits recorded in a single layer can be retrieved clearly without interference from the neighboring layers. A fs laser irradiation of a transparent polymer matrix (doped with fluorescent materials for use as low-cost recording media) is also studied. A fs laser induced photo-chemical reaction changes the chemical properties of the fluorescent materials and records information bits inside the matrix. With an ultra-fast laser as a new light source, 3D optical recording can be available for high capacity data storage up to 1 TB per disc. PACS 82.50.-m; 42.65. Re; 72.70.Jk.  相似文献

A three-dimensional (3D) rewritable optical memory using photochromic material is described for high-density memory. The bits are recorded in a 3D volume of photochromic material. A transformation of the photochromic molecule between two isomers with different absorption spectra can be stimulated by irradiation with appropriate wavelengths. We show that a nondestructive readout of photochromic memory is possible by use of a small difference in the refractive index of the photochromic isomers in the near-IR range. For this purpose a near-IR laser-scan differential phase-contrast microscope is used. Experimental results of 3D recording and nondestructive reading are presented.  相似文献

A copolymer containing bisazobenzene chromophores, poly[(methylmethacrylate)-co-4-{(2-methacryloyloxyethyl)oxy}-4′-(4-nitro-phenylazo)azobenzene)] (poly(MMA-co-M2BAN)), was synthesized and used for two-photon-induced polarization storage. Based on two-photon-induced optical anisotropy resulting from photoselective isomerization of bisazochromophores, the data have been recorded by linearly polarized Ti:Sapphire laser (wavelength: 800 nm, pulse duration: 80 fs, and repetition rate: 80 MHz) and read by reflection confocal laser scanning microscope. The recorded bits are dark dots when the polarization of the reading beam is parallel to the recording beam, but the recorded bits become bright dots when the polarization of the reading beam is perpendicular to the recording beam. Two letters can be encoded in the same region of a given layer by separating the two polarization directions of recording beams at an angle of 45°. The relationships between the readout intensity of the recorded bits and the recording power under two different readout modes were investigated and the results showed that there are two opposite change trends for parallel readout and perpendicular readout, respectively, and the readout threshold value is around 12 mW.  相似文献

Femtosecond lasers have been successfully used to perform refractive surgery, by cutting within the bulk of the corneal tissue. As a side effect to the laser cutting there, a streak-like discoloration is observed in histological sections above and below the cutting plane, incident with the direction of laser propagation. These streak-shaped alterations of tissue are believed to originate from low free-electron densities not sufficient to cause optical breakdown. To understand the generation of the streaks, the nonlinear interaction of ultra-short laser pulses with water, as an approximation to corneal tissue, is simulated numerically using a model that simultaneously describes both the nonlinear pulse propagation and the generation of free electrons. The model is used to calculate spatial free electron density distributions generated by ultra-short pulses. Areas of high free-electron density correspond to optical breakdown, whereas areas of low density can be related to streaks. The numerical code can be adapted to practically any transparent dielectric Kerr medium, whose nonlinear optical parameters are known. PACS 72.20.Jv; 42.65.Jx; 42.65.Sf; 42.62.Be  相似文献

使用经钛宝石啁啾脉冲放大的脉冲宽度为200fs、波长为800nm、重复频率为1kHz的超短脉冲激光束,紧聚焦到熔融石英中实现了三维逐位式光数据存储,记录下20层三维数据位点,利用CCD和数码相机对数据位进行了观察讨论了飞秒超短脉冲与透明介质的相互作用,以及产生等离子体的雪崩电离和多光子吸收电离的机理实验结果表明:在飞秒超短脉冲与透明光学介质的相互作用中起主要作用的是多光子吸收.  相似文献

We propose to use a reflection confocal microscope (RCM) as a readout system for digital data stored in a three-dimensional (3D) photochromic optical memory. We describe the merits and the difficulties for 3D optical memory that are associated with the use of such a RCM.It is shown by means of 3D Fourier space analysis that successful reading of 3D data can be obtained by selection of the appropriate parameter for the RCM.The system parameters include the numerical aperture of the objective lens and the wavelength of the light used for analysis (reading). Experimental results of multilayer recording and reflection confocal reading in photochromic-molecule-doped poly(methyl methacrylate) are presented. Good-contrast images are obtained.  相似文献

A remarkable feature of material damage induced by short-pulsed lasers is that the energy threshold becomes deterministic for sub-picosecond pulses. This effect, coupled with the advent of kHz and higher repetition rate chirped pulse amplification systems, has opened the field of femtosecond machining. Yet the mechanism of optical breakdown remains unclear. By examining the damage threshold as a function of polarization, we find that, contrary to established belief, multiphoton ionization plays an insignificant role in optical breakdown. The polarization independence, combined with the observed precise and uniform dielectric breakdown threshold even for nanometer-scale features, leads us to conclude that the fundamental mechanism is self-terminated Zener-impact ionization, and that the deterministic and uniform damage threshold throughout the sample threshold stems from the uniform valence-electron density found in good-quality optical materials. By systematically exploring optical breakdown near threshold, we find that we can consistently machine features as small as 20 nm, demonstrating great promise for applications ranging from Micro ElectroMechanical Systems (MEMS) construction and microelectronics, to targeted disruption of cellular structures and genetic material. We report three-dimensional fluorescent memory by recording optical bits with irradiation of femtosecond laser pulses at 800 nm and by reading photoluminescence change in Eu3+ doped glass. We produced multi-layered micro-bit patterns and read the blue emission from the 405 and 325 nm excitations due to permanent reduction of Eu3+ to Eu2+ in sodium borate glass by scanning the irradiated region in multilayers.  相似文献

Channel formation in glasses is demonstrated and discussed. Photosensitive glass (Foturan) was microstructured using femtosecond irradiation at 800 nm and 400 nm wavelengths, with subsequent thermal annealing, and HF etching of a lithium-silicate phase formed by exposure-annealing. It was found that there is a significant difference in the volume of lithium-silicate when the exposure was made with and without optical breakdown. Channels with a minimum cross section of approximately 10 m were achieved.In silicate glasses, the optically induced dielectric breakdown was used for the recording of channel patterns. The highest wet etching rate in a HF based solution was observed when the irradiance corresponded to the 2.5–3.0 thresholds of dielectric breakdown and the adjacent pulses were overlapping by more than 50% of the diameter of the focussed beam. Under these conditions, the formation of a void inside the glass was confirmed by optical observation of single shot damage under a microscope. The mechanism of selective wet etching in silicate glasses is discussed in terms of the stress corrosion effect, which explains crack propagation in glasses via the reaction of stretched Si–O–Si bonds at the tip of a crack with water, resulting in SiOH formation. 基于现有的DVD光头物镜与音圈电机,根据光致漂白的双光子吸收气维光信息存储原理,以钛蓝宝石飞秒脉冲激光进行双光子光信息写入和读出,利用音圈电机进行选层,在新型光致漂白材料二苯乙烯衍生物中进行光致漂白二进制编码信息的存储和读出实验研究;实现了三层光信息存储,信息点间距和信息层间距分别为4μm和15μm;用Matlab软件读出信息的信号强度并对其进行了识别,识别结果与写入的二进制编码信息完全一致。实验证明了用DVD光头进行双光子三维光数据存储的可行性,表明双光子吸收光致漂白技术可以与现有CD/DVD兼容,为实现多层高密度和超高密度光信息存储打下基础。  相似文献

为研究释气下的高功率微波介质沿面闪络击穿物理机制,首先建立了理论模型,包括:动力学方程、粒子模拟算法、次级电子发射、蒙特卡罗碰撞模型以及碰撞退吸附气体分子模型;其次,基于理论模型,编制了1D3V PIC-MCC程序,分别研究了弱退吸附、强退吸附以及释气分子运动速率对沿面闪络击穿的影响.研究结果表明:介质沿面闪络击穿本质是沉积功率的持续增加.弱退吸附下,次级电子倍增占优,随着退吸附系数的增加,碰撞电离效应对次级电子倍增有促进作用,主要表现为介质窗表面静电场、表面碰撞电子平均能量以及表面碰撞电子数目的增加,此处的表面碰撞电子主要是次级电子倍增形成的;释气分子运动速率高导致介质面附近气压下降,不利于次级电子与气体分子间碰撞电离过程形成.强退吸附下,气体碰撞电离效应占优,随着退吸附系数的增加,离子数增加速度表现为电离频率增加的指数增长形式,碰撞电离效应对次级电子倍增有抑制作用,主要表现为介质窗表面静电场为负、表面碰撞电子平均能量的降低,但是表面碰撞电子数目却得以增加,此处的表面碰撞电子主要是贴近介质面的气体碰撞电离形成的;释气分子运动速率高导致气体厚度增加,扩大了气体碰撞电离作用区域,有利于气体碰撞电离.  相似文献

Several systems design issues are discussed including imaging optics, storage density, readout rate, and the alignment servo system. We demonstrate a shot-to-shot reduction in the threshold laser intensity for ionization of bulk glasses illuminated by intense femtosecond pulses. For SiO2 the threshold change serves as positive feedback reenforcing the process that produced it. This constitutes a memory in nonlinear ionization of the material. The threshold change saturates with the number of pulses incident at a given spot. Irrespective of the pulse energy, the magnitude of the saturated threshold change is constant (approximately 20%). However, the number of shots required to reach saturation does depend on the pulse energy. Recognition of a memory in ionization is vital to understand multishot optical or electrical breakdown phenomena in dielectrics.  相似文献

We investigated the femtosecond laser writing of optical waveguides inside Foturan glass at various pulse energies and focusing depths. An optimal waveguide fabricated solely by femtosecond laser irradiation showed a refractive index modulation of ∼1.7×10-3 and a minimum transmission loss of ∼0.80 dB/cm. This type of waveguide had lower transmission loss than those fabricated by a hybrid process of femtosecond laser exposure and following thermal treatment. We have developed a new optical storage system that uses minute spheres arranged upon a surface-relief grating. By using dye-doped minute spheres as recording bits we can limit a sensitive region within a sphere's diameter. Using a reflection-type confocal optical system, we read out shape signals from minute spheres at high resolution. The shape signals from minute spheres are utilized as clock signals in recording and readout.  相似文献
