We report first observations of B(s)(0) → J/ψη and B(s)(0) → J/ψη'. The results are obtained from 121.4 fb(-1) of data collected at the Υ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+ e- collider. We obtain the branching fractions B(B(s)(0) → J/ψη)=[5.10±0.50(stat)±0.25(syst)(-0.79)(+1.14)(N(B(s)(*) B(s)(*))]×10(-4), and B(B(s)(0) → J/ψη')=[3.71±0.61(stat)±0.18(syst)(-0.57)(+0.83)(N(B(s)(*) B(s)(*))]×10(-4). The ratio of the two branching fractions is measured to be (B(B(s) → J/ψη'))/(B(B(s) → J/ψη))=0.73±0.14(stat)±0.02(syst).  相似文献

We estimate in a current algebra framework the hadronic matrix elements relevant to the weak B→pp̄π (π) transitions measured recently. The results so obtained are in agreement with the observed values.  相似文献

Strong UV emission has been observed in the reactions of XeF2+SiH4+F2 and XeF2+B2H6+F2. The emission spectra have been identified with the B 2X 2 transition of XeF. Possible mechanisms of XeF(B) production are discussed.  相似文献

First observations of the Cabibbo-suppressed decays B(0) → D(+)K(-)π(+)π(-) and B(-) → D(0)K(-)π(+)π(-) are reported using 35 pb(-1) of data collected with the LHCb detector. Their branching fractions are measured with respect to the corresponding Cabibbo-favored decays, from which we obtain B(B(0) → D(+)K(-)π(+)π(-))/B(B(0) → D(+)π(-)π(+)π(-))=(5.9±1.1±0.5)×10(-2) and B(B(-) → D(0)K(-)π(+)π(-))/B(B(-) → D(0)π(-)π(+)π(-))=(9.4±1.3±0.9)×10(-2), where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The B(-) → D(0)K(-)π(+)π(-) decay is particularly interesting, as it can be used in a similar way to B(-) → D(0)K(-) to measure the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa phase γ.  相似文献

A few red degraded bands attributable to NS have been reported earlier byFowler andBarker, Dressler andBarrow et al, and they occur in the same region (2300 to 2700 Å) as the bands of the known systems (C 2 +?X 2 П) and (A 2 Δ?X 2 П). Measurements made on the heads of some of these weak bands ledBarrow et al. to believe that these bands may form a system analogous to theβ-system of NO and be due to a2 П-2 П transition. The spectrum of NS has now been studied in a little more detail by means of an uncondensed discharge through dry nitrogen and sulphur vapour in the presence of argon and thirty three bands belonging to this system have been recorded in the region 2280 to 2760 Å. It has been found possible to represent the band heads by means of the equation
$$^v {\text{head}} {\text{ = }} \left. {_{43182 \cdot 5}^{{\text{43311}} \cdot {\text{5}}} } \right\}_{ - [1219 \cdot 20(v'' + \tfrac{1}{2}) - 7 \cdot 48(v'' + \tfrac{1}{2})^2 ].}^{ + [761 \cdot 04(v' + \tfrac{1}{2}) - 5 \cdot 10(v' + \tfrac{1}{2})^2 ]}$$  相似文献

In an x-ray preionised XeF(BX) discharge-excited laser driven by a magnetic-spiker sustainer circuit with a magnetic pulse compressor the influence of the various parameters on the optical pulse duration was experimentally investigated. Laser pulses at = 351 nm with a duration of 212 ns (FWHM) have been achieved in a NF3/Xe/Ne mixture by using very low (0.25 mbar) NF3 partial pressures in a total gas pressure of 2.5 bar and with a high-reflecting output coupling mirror.  相似文献

In this paper, we calculate the branching ratios and the direct CP-violating asymmetries for decays B0 →a00(980)π0, a0+(980)π-, a0-(980)π and B- →a00(980)π-, a0-(980)π0 by employing the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach at the leading order. We found that (a) the pQCD predictions for the branching ratios are around (0.4 - 2.8) × 10-6, consistent with currently available experimental upper limits; (b) the CP asymmetries of B0→ao(980)π0 and B-→a0-(980)π0 decays can be large, about (70-80)% for α = 100°.  相似文献

Recently reported decays of the B→pp̄π and pp̄ππ have been interpreted as evidence for the b→u transition. It is shown that a certain class of b→c transitions could be misidentified and interpreted as B→pp̄π(π).  相似文献

The Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule forbids the transitionB(1235)→φπ. Unitarity, however, induces a non-vanishing amplitude forBφπ. We estimate the amplitude using dispersion relation. The absorptive part is shown to be small contributing less than 100 keV to the partial width Γ (Bφπ). For the dispersive part we evaluate the contributions of the and intermediate states and point out that the state does not contribute significantly. The dispersive part contributes about 300 keV to the partial width. Thus unitarity correction to the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule gives the partial width Γ(Bφπ) to be around 300–400 keV compared with the present experimental upper limit of 1·9 MeV.  相似文献

We show how parton distributions unintegrated over the parton transverse momentum, k t , may be generated, at NLO accuracy, from the known integrated (DGLAP-evolved) parton densities determined from global data analyses. A few numerical examples are given, which demonstrate that sufficient accuracy is obtained by keeping only the LO splitting functions together with the NLO integrated parton densities. However, it is important to keep the precise kinematics of the process, by taking the scale to be the virtuality rather than the transverse momentum, in order to be consistent with the calculation of the NLO splitting functions.  相似文献

We show that in the standard model the parametrically leading (by a factor 1/α(s)) contribution to the inclusive CP asymmetry in B→X(s,d)γ decays arises from a long-distance effect in the interference of the electromagnetic dipole amplitude with the amplitude for an up-quark penguin transition accompanied by soft gluon emission. Using model estimates for the associated hadronic parameter Λ(17)(u), we predict a value in the range -0.6% < A(X(s)γ)(SM) < 2.8%. In view of current experimental data, a future precision measurement of the flavor-averaged CP asymmetry would signal the presence of new physics only if a value below -2% was found. A cleaner probe of new physics is offered by the difference of the CP asymmetries in charged versus neutral B→X(s,d)γ decays.  相似文献

A search has been performed for B(s)(0) → μ+ μ- and B(0) → μ+ μ- decays using 7 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The observed number of B(0) candidates is consistent with background-only expectations and yields an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(B(0) → μ+ μ-) < 6.0 × 10(-9) at 95% confidence level. We observe an excess of B(s)(0) candidates. The probability that the background processes alone could produce such an excess or larger is 0.27%. The probability that the combination of background and the expected standard model rate of B(s)(0) → μ+ μ- could produce such an excess or larger is 1.9%. These data are used to determine B(B(s)(0)→ μ+ μ-) = (1.8(-0.9) (+1.1)) × 10(-8) and provide an upper limit of B(B(s)(0) → μ+ μ-) < 4.0 × 10(-8) at 95% confidence level.  相似文献

We present the first measurement of polarization and CP-violating asymmetries in a B(s)(0) decay into two light vector mesons, B(s)(0)→φφ, and an improved determination of its branching ratio using 295 decays reconstructed in a data sample corresponding to 2.9 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The fraction of longitudinal polarization is determined to be f(L)=0.348±0.041(stat)±0.021(syst), and the branching ratio B(B(s)(0)→φφ)=[2.32±0.18(stat)±0.82(syst)]×10(-5). Asymmetries of decay angle distributions sensitive to CP violation are measured to be A(u)=-0.007±0.064(stat)±0.018(syst) and A(v)=-0.120±0.064(stat)±0.016(syst).  相似文献

In this paper, we calculate the branching ratios for B+ → Ds+η, B+ → Ds+η ', B+ → Ds*+η, and B+ → Ds*+η ' decays by employing the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach. Under the two kinds of η-η' mixingschemes, the quark-flavor mixing scheme and the singlet-octet mixingscheme, we find that the calculated branching ratios agree well withthe currently available experimental upper limits. We also consider the so called ``fD_s puzzle', by using two groups of parameters about the D(*)s meson decay constants, that are fD_s=241 MeV, fD^*_s=272 MeV and fD_s=274 MeV, fD^*_s=312 MeV, to calculate the branching ratios for theconsidered decays. We find that the results change 30% by usingthese two different kinds of paramters.  相似文献

We report a first measurement of inclusive B→Xsη decays, where Xs is a charmless state with unit strangeness. The measurement is based on a pseudoinclusive reconstruction technique and uses a sample of 657×10(6)BB pairs accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e- collider. For MXs < 2.6 GeV/c2, we measure a branching fraction of [26.1±3.0(stat)-2.1+1.9(syst)-7.1+4.0(model)]×10(-5) and a direct CP asymmetry of ACP=-0.13±0.04-0.03+0.02. Over half of the signal occurs in the range MXs > 1.8 GeV/c2.  相似文献

We have made the first observation of B(s)(0)→D(s)(*)+ D(s)(*)- decays using 23.6 fb(-1) of data recorded by the Belle experiment running on the Υ(5S) resonance. The branching fractions are measured to be B(B(s)(0)→D(s)+ D(s)-)=(1.03(-0.32-0.25)(+0.39+0.26))%, B(B(s)(0)→D(s)(*±) D(s)(?))=(2.75(-0.71)(+0.83)±0.69)%, and B(B(s)(0)→D(s)*+ D(s)*-)=(3.08(-1.04-0.86)(+1.22+0.85))%; the sum is B[B(s)(0)→D(s)(*)+ D(s)(*)-]=(6.85(-1.30-1.80)(+1.53+1.79))%. Assuming B(s)(0)→D(s)(*)+ D(s)(*)- saturates decays to CP-even final states, the branching fraction determines the ratio ΔΓ(s)/cosφ, where ΔΓ(s) is the difference in widths between the two B(s)-B(s) mass eigenstates, and φ is a CP-violating weak phase. Taking CP violation to be negligibly small, we obtain ΔΓ(s)/Γ(s)=0.147(-0.030)(+0.036)(stat)(-0.041)(+0.042)(syst), where Γ(s) is the mean decay width.  相似文献
