In this paper, we discuss some basic properties of uniform fractal interpolation functions (FIFs), which is a special class of FIFs, on Sierpinski gasket. We firstly study the min-max property of uniform FIFs. Then we present a necessary and sufficient condition such that uniform FIFs have finite energy. Normal derivative and Laplacian of uniform FIFs are also discussed.  相似文献

Let R be an arbitrary finite commutative local ring. In this paper, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a function over R to be a polynomial function. This paper presents necessary and sufficient conditions for a positive bounded operator on a separable Hilbert space to be the sum of a finite or infinite collection of projections (not necessarily mutually orthogonal), with the sum converging in the strong operator topology if the collection is infinite. A similar necessary condition is given when the operator and the projections are taken in a type II von Neumann factor, and the condition is proven to be also sufficient if the operator is “diagonalizable”. A simpler necessary and sufficient condition is given in the type III factor case.  相似文献

An algebraic frame L with the finite intersection property (FIP) on compact elements is said to be polarised if every minimal prime element in it is complemented. In this note, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the inverse topology on the set of minimal prime elements of such a frame to be sober. We also establish some sufficient conditions for sobriety when the polarisation condition is relaxed.  相似文献

A back and forth condition on interpretations for those second‐order languages without functional variables whose non‐logical vocabulary is finite and excludes functional constants is presented. It is shown that this condition is necessary and sufficient for the interpretations to be equivalent in the language. When applied to second‐order languages with an infinite non‐logical vocabulary, excluding functional constants, the back and forth condition is sufficient but not necessary. It is shown that there is a class of infinitary second‐order languages whose non‐logical vocabulary is infinite for which the back and forth condition is both necessary and sufficient. In this paper we present a necessary and sufficient condition for a family of sums of squares operators to be globally hypoelliptic on a torus. This condition says that either a Diophantine condition is satisfied or there exists a point of finite type. Also, we describe the analytic and Gevrey versions of this result. In the study of symmetry classes of tensors, finding examples of symmetry classes of tensors that possess an o*-basis is of considerable interest. There are only few classes of groups that have been provided a necessary and sufficient condition for having such a basis. There is no general criterion for any finite group yet. In this note, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of o*-basis of symmetry classes of tensors associated with semi-direct product of some finite abelian groups and, consequently, their wreath product.  相似文献

A CDC algebra is a reflexive operator algebra whose lattice is completely distributive and commutative. Nearly twenty years ago, Gilfeather and Moore obtained a necessary and sufficient condition for an isomorphism between CDC algebras to be quasi-spatial. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a derivation δ of CDC algebras to be quasi-spatial. Namely, δ is quasi-spatial if and only if δ(R) maps the kernel of R into the range of R for each finite rank operator R. Some examples are presented to show the sharpness of the condition. We also establish a sufficient condition on the lattice that guarantees that every derivation is quasi-spatial.  相似文献

Abstract

First, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for torsion-free finite rank subgroups of arbitrary abelian groups to be purifiable. An abelian group G is said to be a strongly ADE decomposable group if there exists a purifiable T(G)-high subgroup of G. We use a previous result to characterize ADE decomposable groups of finite torsion-free rank. Finally, in an extreme case of strongly ADE decomposable groups, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for abelian groups of finite torsion-free rank to be splitting.  相似文献

Considering a group with unique roots (i.e., an R-group), we give a sufficient condition for the existence of a positive (constructive) enumeration with respect to which the isolator of the commutant is computable. Basing on it, we prove the constructivizability of an R-group that admitting a positive enumeration for which the dimension of the commutant is finite. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition of constructivizability for a torsion-free nilpotent group for which the dimension of the commutant is finite.  相似文献

The max-flow min-cut theorem is used to give a necessary and sufficient condition for one or two finite families of finite non-negative vectors to have a (common) vector transversal. The duality theorem of linear programming is then used to prove the polymatroid intersection theorem for any finite number of polymatroids, which in turn is used to give a necessary and sufficient condition for any finite number of finite families of finite sets to have a common vector transversal. (This result was announced without proof in [D. R. Woodall, in “Combinatorics (Proceedings, 4th British Combinatorial Conference)” pp. 195–200, London Mathematical Society Lecture Note Series No. 13, Cambridge Univ. Press, London/New York 1974].) This provides a weak generalization of the well-known conditions of Hall and of Ford and Fulkerson for one and two families of sets, respectively, to have a (common) transversal. Let Q be a finite Moufang loop with nucleus N(Q) and associator subloop 𝒜(Q). First we prove if the factor loop over the nucleus Q/N has nontrivial center, then the center of Q is nontrivial too. By using this result we prove that the centrally nilpotence of Q/N(Q) implies the centrally nilpotence of 𝒜(Q), and we show that, for the centrally nilpotence of a finite Moufang loop, the centrally nilpotence of Q/N(Q) and Q/𝒜(Q) is a necessary and sufficient condition. Finally, as a corollary we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the equivalence of centrally and nuclearly nilpotence of finite Moufang loops, namely, the centrally nilpotence of Q/𝒜(Q).  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the necessary and sufficient conditions of existence for a positive solution to a class of non-variational quasilinear elliptic systems in R N . The sufficient condition of existence result bases on the Mountain Pass Lemma and the sub-super solution methods, and the necessary condition is a consequence of a Picone’s identity. The system models some phenomena in different physical and other natural sciences: non-Newtonian mechanics, nonlinear elasticity and glaciology, combustion theory, population biology and so on.  相似文献

In this paper, we give some new results on sum and stability of g-frames in Hilbert spaces. Since the finite sum of g-frames may not be a g-frame for the Hilbert space, we give a necessary and sufficient condition and some sufficient conditions for the finite sum of g-frames to be a g-frame. We also show that every g-sequence in Hilbert space can be expanded to a tight g-frame by adding a linear bounded operator. Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions under which g-frames (and the finite sum of g-frames) are stable under small perturbations.  相似文献

In this paper, a discrete nonautonomous SIRS epidemic model is studied. The model is constructed by applying a nonstandard finite difference scheme. Under weaker assumptions, the sufficient and necessary conditions on the permanence and strong persistence of the disease and the sufficient condition on the extinction of the disease are established. In this paper we investigate the question: When does the direct product of partial orders each satisfying the normalized matching condition also satisfy it? A proof of Harper's result that a sufficient condition for this is that factor partial orders have rank populations that are multiplicatively convex, is presented. A general necessary and sufficient condition is described, and conditions which occur when one factor is a chain are obtained. In particular we show that under these circumstances it is necessary that the product order have multiplicatively convex population rank.  相似文献
