Properties of the probability density function of the non-central chi-squared distribution

In this paper we consider the probability density function (pdf) of a non-central χ² distribution with arbitrary number of degrees of freedom. For this function we prove that can be represented as a finite sum and we deduce a partial derivative formula. Moreover, we show that the pdf is log-concave when the degrees of freedom is greater or equal than 2. At the end of this paper we present some Turán-type inequalities for this function and an elegant application of the monotone form of l'Hospital's rule in probability theory is given.     

The algebraic multiplicity of the complex eigenvalues of population operator and its application

In this paper we discuss the algebraic multiplicity of the complex eigenvalue of population operator. Under certain condition we first prove that all the complex eigenvalues of this operator, except at most finitely many ones, are of algebraic multiplicity 1,and then, as an application of this result, we obtain the asymptotic expansion of the solution of corresponding population system.     

Long time behavior of a mean-field model of interacting neurons

We study the long time behavior of the solution to some McKean–Vlasov stochastic differential equation (SDE) driven by a Poisson process. In neuroscience, this SDE models the asymptotic dynamic of the membrane potential of a spiking neuron in a large network. We prove that for a small enough interaction parameter, any solution converges to the unique (in this case) invariant probability measure. To this aim, we first obtain global bounds on the jump rate and derive a Volterra type integral equation satisfied by this rate. We then replace temporary the interaction part of the equation by a deterministic external quantity (we call it the external current). For constant current, we obtain the convergence to the invariant probability measure. Using a perturbation method, we extend this result to more general external currents. Finally, we prove the result for the non-linear McKean–Vlasov equation.     

ISOMORPHISMS OF CIRCULANT DIGRAPHS OF DEGREE 3

Abstract. In this paper, we introduce a new approach to characterize the isomor-phisms of circulant digraphs. In terms of this method, we completely determine the isomorphic classes of circulant digraphs of degree 3. In psrticular, we characterize those circulant digraphs of degree 3 which don‘‘t satisfy JkdAm‘‘s conjectttre.     

Orbifold fibrations of Eschenburg spaces

Most of the few known examples of compact Riemannian manifolds with positive sectional curvature are the total space of a Riemannian submersion. In this article we show that this is true for all known examples, if we enlarge the category to orbifold fibrations. For this purpose we study all almost free isometric circle actions on positively curved Eschenburg spaces, which give rise to principle orbifold bundle structures, and we examine in detail their geometric properties. In particular, we obtain a new family of 6-dimensional orbifolds with positive sectional curvature whose singular locus consists of just two points.      

On the Stability of the Directional Regularity

In this paper we select two tools of investigation of the classical metric regularity of set-valued mappings, namely the Ioffe criterion and the Ekeland Variational Principle, which we adapt to the study of the directional setting. In this way, we obtain in a unitary manner new necessary and/or sufficient conditions for directional metric regularity. As an application, we establish stability of this property at composition and sum of set-valued mappings. In this process, we introduce directional tangent cones and the associated generalized primal differentiation objects and concepts. Moreover, we underline several links between our main assertions by providing alternative proofs for several results.

     

The Index of the Complex Eigenvalues of a Parity Progressive Population Operator

In this paper we discuss the index of the complex eigenvalue of a parity progressive population operator. Under certain conditions, we first prove that all the complex eigenvalues of this operator, except at most finitely many ones, are of index 1, and then, as an application of this result, we obtain the asymptotic expansion of the solution of the corresponding parity progressive population equation.     

On the stability of a class of nonlinear hybrid systems

In this paper, we propose new conditions for guaranteeing the stability of nonlinear sampled data systems. In order to do this, we extend Lyapunov theory to this class of systems.     

Asymptotic behaviour of a closed‐loop thermosyphon with linear friction and viscoelastic binary fluid

Viscoelastic fluids represent a major challenge both from an engineering and from a mathematical point of view. Recently, we have shown that viscoelasticity induces chaos in closed‐loop thermosyphons even when we consider binary fluids, this is, when we consider a solute in the fluid, as water and antifreezes, for example. In this work, we consider a linear friction law, and we show that in this case with the addition of a solute to the fluid we can prove, under some conditions, chaotic asymptotic behavior for suitable geometry of the circuit and heat flux or ambient temperature functions.

主要研究工作休假和休假中止的M/G/1排队系统,首先将对应于此系统的数学模型转化为抽象Cauchy问题,其次证明对应于此排队模型的主算子生成正压缩C0半群T(t),然后证明T(t)是局部等距的,最后证明此模型存在唯一的非负时间依赖解。     

Forecasting the integration of immigrants

In this research, we develop and introduce a theoretical and mathematical forecasting framework of immigrant integration using immigrant density as a single driver. First, we introduce the integration concepts we aim at forecasting. Thereafter, we introduce a theoretical and mathematical model of the relationship between integration and immigrant density. Based on this model, we develop a methodological forecasting framework. We test the framework using immigrant integration data from Spain. We produce the forecasts, and conduct the proper evaluation of them. Finally, we conclude with a brief discussion of the wider implications of our results.

On Ext-indices of ring extensions

In this paper, we investigate the finiteness of Ext-indices for certain ring extensions. In this direction, we introduce some conjectures and discuss the relationships among them. We also prove these conjectures in some special cases. Furthermore, we prove that the trivial extension of an Artinian local ring by its residue class field is always of finite Ext-index, and prove a generalization of the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for this type of ring.     

Normally Distributed Probability Measure on the Metric Space of Norms

In this paper we propose a method to construct probability measures on the space of convex bodies. For this purpose, first, we introduce the notion of thinness of a body. Then we show the existence of a measure with the property that its pushforward by the thinness function is a probability measure of truncated normal distribution. Finally, we improve this method to find a measure satisfying some important properties in geometric measure theory.     

抽象经济均衡问题解的存在性及其算法

本文首先研究一类新的向量均衡问题,利用截口定理与KKM定理两种不同的工具证明此类均衡问题解的存在性,接着,把这类向量均衡问题推广到更为一般的情形,随后讨论了具有上下界的均衡问题,它是由Isac,Sehgal和Singh于1999年提出的一个公开问题,本文在一定条件下获得了一个新的解的存在性定理,并构造了一个迭代算法,讨论了算法的收敛性。     

The equiconvergence of expansions in eigenfunctions and associated functions of an integral operator with involution

In this paper we study an integral operator with involution. We solve the problem on the exact inversion of this operator, we obtain and study the integro-differential system for the Fredholm resolvent and, finally, we prove the theorem on the equiconvergence of expansions in eigenfunctions and associated functions, in the usual trigonometric system.

广义高斯分布是一类以Gaussian分布、Laplacian分布为特例的对称分布 ,它在信号处理和图像处理等领域都有广泛的应用 .本文采用矩估计方法讨论广义高斯分布的形状参数和尺度参数的估计问题 ,首先导出了矩和参数的关系表达式 ,然后由此提出参数估计方法 ,并对参数估计的收敛性质进行了分析 ,最后利用模拟实验对本文所提方法进行了验证 .

In this paper,we consider infinite sums of the reciprocals of the Fibonacci numbers.Then applying the floor function to the reciprocals of this sums,we obtain a new identity involving the Fibonacci numbers.
