Zusammenfassung 1,4,5,6,7,7-Hexachlor-bicyclo[2.2.1]hepten-(5)-bis-hydroxymethylen-(2,3) (I) läßt sich sowohl durch direkte Umsetzung von Hexachlorcyclopentadien (II) und Buten-(2)-diol-(1,4) (III) wie auch durch LiAlH₄-Reduktion von 1,4,5,6,7,7-Hexachlor-bicyclo[2.2.1]hepten-(5)-dicarbonsäure-(2,3) (IV), IV-Anhydrid oder IV-Estern in guter Ausbeute gewinnen.Auf Wunsch der Autoren erscheint diese Abhandlung erst im Herbst 1961.21. Mitt., Dtsch. Bund. Pat. 1 081 886 vom 2. 5. 1958.     

Zur Elektronenstruktur metallorganischer Komplexe der f-Elemente—XX. Vibronische kopplungen bei Tris(η5-cyclopentadientadienyl)-lanthanoid(III)-Addukten

The vibronic transition ⁴I_9/2→⁴G_5/2 of the 2-methyltetrahydrofuran adduct of Cp₃Nd and of (Cp-d₅)₃Nd·THF-d₈, respectively, is analyzed. The derived coupling vibrations which can also be detected in the i.r, and Raman spectrum are due to both skeletal and innerligand vibrations. With the knowledge of the energies of the coupling vibrations of Cp₃Nd·MeTHF the vibronic and purely electronic transitions in the absorption spectra of Cp₃Yb·CNC₆H₁₁ and Cp₃Yb·MeTHF could be separated. From the splitting of the manifold ²F_5/2 the crystal field parameters B₀² and B₀⁴ could be roughly estimated.
