This paper is devoted to a proof of a generalized Ray-Singer conjecture for a manifold with boundary (the Dirichlet and the Neumann boundary conditions are independently given on each connected component of the boundary and the transmission boundary condition is given on the interior boundary). The Ray-Singer conjecture [RS] claims that for a closed manifold the combinatorial and the analytic torsion norms on the determinant of the cohomology are equal. For a manifold with boundary the ratio between the analytic torsion and the combinatorial torsion is computed. Some new general properties of the Ray-Singer analytic torsion are found. The proof does not use any computation of eigenvalues and their asymptotic expansions or explicit expressions for the analytic torsions of any special classes of manifolds.Dedicated to my parents  相似文献

We consider infinitely renormalizable Lorenz maps with real critical exponent α > 1 of certain monotone combinatorial types. We prove the existence of periodic points of the renormalization operator, and that each map in the limit set of renormalization has an associated two-dimensional strong unstable manifold. For monotone families of Lorenz maps we prove that each infinitely renormalizable combinatorial type has a unique representative within the family. We also prove that each infinitely renormalizable map has no wandering intervals, is ergodic, and has a uniquely ergodic minimal Cantor attractor of measure zero.  相似文献

A combinatorial sputter coating system has been developed that can optimize the crystal preferred orientation of coating films. With this system, it is possible to synthesize various kinds of coatings whilst precisely controlling conditions such as the sputter gas, the gas pressure, the gas partial pressure, the r.f. power, the substrate temperature, the distance between the substrate and target, etc. In this way, we successfully synthesized copper oxide coatings with different crystal preferred orientations, and low frictional property was obtained by optimizing the crystal preferred orientation.  相似文献

A system for parallel synthesis of atomically regulated lattices and nano-structured heterojunctions has been developed. This combinatorial laser MBE system is composed of a UHV-PLD chamber, scanning RHEED for in situ diagnostics of reactions at various areas of substrate surface, a pair of fixed and moving masks to define the film deposition area, and a computer for controlling the operation conditions as functions of deposition area and time. In this system, oxide layered lattice strips were deposited in parallel on a SrTiO3 substrate under RHEED observation of individual strips with different compositions and/or layer thickness.  相似文献

An X-ray imaging system, which does not require any scans of the sample or an X-ray beam and which, therefore, dramatically reduces the amount of time required, was employed to evaluate combinatorial libraries efficiently. Two-dimensional X-ray fluorescence (XRF) images of an 8 mm × 8 mm area were observed for combinatorial substrates of manganese-cobalt spinel MnCo2O4 and lithium ferrite LiFeO2 via an exposure time of 1-3 s using synchrotron X-rays. Thus, XRF signals from a whole substrate could be observed at once in a short space of time. In order to observe the chemical environment simultaneously for all materials arranged on the substrate, the fluorescent X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) was measured by repeating the imaging during the monochromator scans across the absorption edge for metals. This is extremely efficient because XAFS spectra for all materials placed on the common substrate are obtained from only a single energy scan. One can determine the valence numbers, as well as other aspects of the chemical environment of the metal included in each material, from the differences in spectral features and the energy shifts. Hence, combinatorial libraries can be screened very rapidly, and therefore efficiently, using the X-ray imaging system.  相似文献

A binary alloy Schottky barrier diode on zinc oxide (ZnO) was developed using the combinatorial ion beam-assisted deposition system. The compositional fraction of the binary alloy was continuously varied using the composition-spread technique, to control the Schottky barrier height. After metal deposition, patterned Schottky diodes were fabricated on a ZnO single-crystal substrate. Pt-Ru alloy was selected from the work function viewpoint. Our experiments showed that the compositional fraction of the Schottky binary alloys changed continuously as designed and the Schottky barrier heights measured by current-voltage (I-V) measurements increased with increasing Pt content. Maximum barrier height difference for ZnO was 137 meV. Using ion beam deposition in parallel with the combinatorial system showed that the Schottky barrier heights for ZnO can be controlled by binary metal alloying.  相似文献

We demonstrate combinatorial approach in investigation of organic thin film fabrication. “Combinatorial substrate screening”, which is the deposition onto several kinds of substrates simultaneously, is useful to choose suitable substrate for organic thin film growth. “Combinatorial thickness-gradient films” can be fabricated using a moving mask which travels from an edge to another edge of substrate continuously during the deposition. The combinatorial thickness-gradient film can be regarded as the library for time evolution of film growth during the deposition. This mapping can serve as a powerful method for the research of growth of thin film in an initial stage. Besides, combinatorial thickness-gradient film can be utilized for the examination of a buffer layer effect. These techniques enable us to quickly optimize for the fabrication of high-quality organic thin films.  相似文献

In pulsed-laser deposition (PLD), there are many processing parameters that influence film properties such as substrate-target distance, background reactive gas pressure, laser energy, substrate temperature and composition in multi-component systems. By introducing a 12.7-mm diameter circular aperture in front of a 76.2-mm silicon wafer and rotating the substrate while changing conditions during the PLD process, these parameters may be studied in a combinatorial fashion, discretely as a function of processing conditions. We demonstrate the use of the aperture technique to systematically study the effects of oxygen partial pressure on the film stoichiometry and growth rate of VOx, using Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS). In another example, we discuss the effect of growth temperature on TiO2 films characterized by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform far-infrared (Terahertz) absorption spectroscopy. We demonstrate that we have considerable combinatorial control of other processing variables besides composition in our combi-PLD system. These may be used to systematically study film growth and properties.  相似文献

对迎风凹腔与逆向喷流组合热防护系统的冷却效果进行了分析, 研究了相同总压不同流速的逆向喷流对组合结构的流场、气动受力及壁面传热的影响. 通过与相关的实验结果对比, 验证了数值方法的可靠性. 研究发现:该结构能够有效地对飞行器鼻锥表面进行冷却, 引入很小总压的逆向喷流(逆喷总压比 PR=0.1), 组合结构的冷却效果就可以远远优于单一的迎风凹腔; 相同逆向喷流总压下, 逆喷速度越高, 逆喷流量越大, 外壁面的冷却效果越好; 随逆喷流速提高, 气动阻力也进一步减小. 本文研究的组合结构非常适用于远程、 需长时间飞行的高超声速飞行器的热防护.  相似文献

在考虑了电导率调制效应的情况下对深亚微米静电放电(electrostatic discharge, ESD)保护器件的衬底电阻流控电压源模型进行优化, 并根据轻掺杂体衬底和重掺杂外延型衬底的不同物理机制提出了可根据 版图尺寸调整的精简衬底电阻宏模型, 所建模型准确地预估了不同衬底 结构上源极扩散到衬底接触扩散间距变化对触发电压Vt1的影响. 栅接地n型金属氧化物半导体器件的击穿特性结果表明, 所提出的衬底电阻模 型与实验结果符合良好, 且仿真时间仅为器件仿真软件的7%, 为ESD保护器件版 图优化设计提供了方法支持. 关键词: 栅接地n型金属氧化物半导体器件 静电放电 衬底电阻模型  相似文献

Oil-free diaphragm vacuum pumps have proven to be the best way in vacuum generation for the chemical laboratory and they also find increasing use as backing pumps for modern wide-range turbo molecular pumps. The majority of vacuum pumps in practical use pump only a rather small percentage of their lifetime at full gas load. A pump backing a turbo molecular pump does not have to pump a significant gas load when the high-vacuum pump is running at ultimate vacuum pressure. Also, for a vacuum distillation the vacuum pump has to operate at full speed only at the beginning to lower the pressure inside the system to a vacuum level where evaporation starts. In a rather leak-tight system the distillation process continues by evaporating from the hot liquid and condensing at the cold condenser without the need of a mechanical vacuum pump. Rotational speed controlled diaphragm pumps are now available through progress in mechatronics and offer high pumping speed capability for fast pump-down cycles and precise pressure control for distillations. At low gas load the rotational speed can be reduced, improving maintenance intervals, power consumption, noise, vibration and – surprisingly – also ultimate pressure. The different behaviour in pumping speed and ultimate pressure of rotational speed controlled diaphragm pumps in comparison to constant-speed pumps is related to the mechanical properties of the valves and gas dynamics . Quantum Hamiltonians that are fine-tuned to their so-called Rokhsar-Kivelson (RK) points, first presented in the context of quantum dimer models, are defined by their representations in preferred bases in which their ground state wave functions are intimately related to the partition functions of combinatorial problems of classical statistical physics. We show that all the known examples of quantum Hamiltonians, when fine-tuned to their RK points, belong to a larger class of real, symmetric, and irreducible matrices that admit what we dub a Stochastic Matrix Form (SMF) decomposition. Matrices that are SMF decomposable are shown to be in one-to-one correspondence with stochastic classical systems described by a Master equation of the matrix type, hence their name. It then follows that the equilibrium partition function of the stochastic classical system partly controls the zero-temperature quantum phase diagram, while the relaxation rates of the stochastic classical system coincide with the excitation spectrum of the quantum problem. Given a generic quantum Hamiltonian construed as an abstract operator defined on some Hilbert space, we prove that there exists a continuous manifold of bases in which the representation of the quantum Hamiltonian is SMF decomposable, i.e., there is a (continuous) manifold of distinct stochastic classical systems related to the same quantum problem. Finally, we illustrate with three examples of Hamiltonians fine-tuned to their RK points, the triangular quantum dimer model, the quantum eight-vertex model, and the quantum three-coloring model on the honeycomb lattice, how they can be understood within our framework, and how this allows for immediate generalizations, e.g., by adding non-trivial interactions to these models.  相似文献

A combinatorial etching technique is developed to fabricate integrated narrow bandpass filters on a single substrate. It is highly efficient for fabrication of integrated filter arrays in optical regions. A monolithic filter array has been fabricated by using the technique with a two-step deposition process. The filter contains 32 elements in the near-infrared region. The relative full width at half-maximum (FWHM) sigmalambda/lambda of the filter elements is less than 0.2%. Such a narrow bandpass filter array can be utilized in many optical applications.  相似文献

Entropic dynamics is a framework in which the laws of dynamics are derived as an application of entropic methods of inference. Its successes include the derivation of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory from probabilistic principles. Here, we develop the entropic dynamics of a system, the state of which is described by a probability distribution. Thus, the dynamics unfolds on a statistical manifold that is automatically endowed by a metric structure provided by information geometry. The curvature of the manifold has a significant influence. We focus our dynamics on the statistical manifold of Gibbs distributions (also known as canonical distributions or the exponential family). The model includes an “entropic” notion of time that is tailored to the system under study; the system is its own clock. As one might expect that entropic time is intrinsically directional; there is a natural arrow of time that is led by entropic considerations. As illustrative examples, we discuss dynamics on a space of Gaussians and the discrete three-state system.  相似文献

Model-independent chaos control techniques are inherently well-suited for the control of physiological systems for which quantitative system models are unavailable. The proportional perturbation feedback (PPF) control paradigm, which uses electrical stimulation to perturb directly the controlled system variable (e.g., the interbeat or interspike interval), was developed for excitable physiological systems that do not have an easily accessible system parameter. We develop the stable manifold placement (SMP) technique, a PPF-type technique which is simpler and more robust than the original PPF control algorithm. We use the SMP technique to control a simple geometric model of a chaotic system in the neighborhood of an unstable periodic orbit (UPO). We show that while the SMP technique can control a chaotic system that has UPO dynamics which are characterized by one stable manifold and one unstable manifold, the success of the SMP technique is sensitive to UPO parameter estimation errors. 本文通过质子交换膜燃料电池单电池子模型、布气管子模型、流场子模型相互耦合,对电池堆传热传质过程加以数值模拟,得到单电池及电池堆的流场、温场、当地电流密度分布、过电位分布;给定平均电流密度下单电池及电池堆输出电压等参数;并比较了平均电流密度、布气管尺寸对电池输出电压、堆内反应物分配的影响;在此基础上,对整个PEMFC发电系统进行流程模拟和参数分析,得到平均电流密度、重整器S/C等主要参数对系统性能影响.  相似文献

We have developed a high-throughput thermoelectric screening tool for the study of combinatorial thin films. This tool consists of a probe to measure resistance and Seebeck coefficient on an automated translation stage. A thin film library of the (Ca1−xySrxLay)3Co4O9 ternary system has been fabricated on a Si (1 0 0) substrate, using combinatorial pulsed laser deposition by the natural-composition-spread method. We have demonstrated successful mapping of the resistance and Seebeck coefficient of this film library. The mapping indicates that the substitution of La for Ca results in an increase of both resistance and Seebeck coefficient, and that of Sr results in a decrease of resistance. The screening tool allows us to measure 1080 data points in 6 h.  相似文献

We develop further ideas on how to construct low-dimensional models of stochastic dynamical systems. The aim is to derive a consistent and accurate model from the originally high-dimensional system. This is done with the support of centre manifold theory and techniques. Aspects of several previous approaches are combined and extended: adiabatic elimination has previously been used, but centre manifold techniques simplify the noise by removing memory effects, and with less algebraic effort than normal forms; analysis of associated Fokker-Plank equations replace nonlinearly generated noise processes by their long-term equivalent white noise. The ideas are developed by examining a simple dynamical system which serves as a prototype of more interesting physical situations.  相似文献
