We generalize the main theorem of Rieffel for Morita equivalence of W-algebras to the case of unital dual operator algebras: two unital dual operator algebras A,B have completely isometric normal representations α,β such that α(A)=[Mβ(B)M]w and β(B)=[Mα(A)M]w for a ternary ring of operators M (i.e. a linear space M such that MMMM) if and only if there exists an equivalence functor which “extends” to a ∗-functor implementing an equivalence between the categories and . By we denote the category of normal representations of A and by the category with the same objects as and Δ(A)-module maps as morphisms (Δ(A)=AA). We prove that this functor is equivalent to a functor “generated” by a B,A bimodule, and that it is normal and completely isometric.  相似文献

We prove that, for any transitive Lie bialgebroid (A, A), the differential associated to the Lie algebroid structure on A has the form d=A[Λ,⋅]+Ω, where Λ is a section of 2A and Ω is a Lie algebroid 1-cocycle for the adjoint representation of A. Globally, for any transitive Poisson groupoid (Γ,Π), the Poisson structure has the form , where ΠF is a bivector field on Γ associated to a Lie groupoid 1-cocycle.  相似文献

Given a pair of G-covering functors F1:RR1 and F0:RR0 such that F0 is a Galois covering, the inequality for all z,t, of the dimensions of the first kind module sets under some assumptions is proved (Theorem 2.2). The result is applied to show the equality of the module variety dimensions for some special degenerations of algebras. Certain consequences for preserving wild and tame representation types by G-covering functors are also presented (Theorems 2.4 and 3.1).  相似文献

Let A be a unital separable simple C∗-algebra  with TR(A)?1 and α be an automorphism. We show that if α satisfies the tracially cyclic Rokhlin property then . We also show that whenever A has a unique tracial state and αm is uniformly outer for each m(≠0) and αr is approximately inner for some r>0, α satisfies the tracial cyclic Rokhlin property. By applying the classification theory of nuclear C∗-algebras, we use the above result to prove a conjecture of Kishimoto: if A is a unital simple -algebra of real rank zero and α∈Aut(A) which is approximately inner and if α satisfies some Rokhlin property, then the crossed product is again an -algebra of real rank zero. As a by-product, we find that one can construct a large class of simple C∗-algebras with tracial rank one (and zero) from crossed products.  相似文献

We give a very general completion theorem for pro-spectra. We show that, if G is a compact Lie group, M[∗] is a pro-G-spectrum, and F is a family of (closed) subgroups of G, then the mapping pro-spectrum F(EF+,M[∗]) is the F-adic completion of M[∗], in the sense that the map M[∗]→F(EF+,M[∗]) is the universal map into an algebraically F-adically complete pro-spectrum. Here, F(EF+,M[∗]) denotes the pro-G-spectrum , where runs over the finite subcomplexes of EF+.  相似文献

A general notion of depth two for ring homomorphism NM is introduced. The step two centralizers A=EndNMN and in the Jones tower above NM are shown in a natural way via H-equivalence to be dual bimodules for Morita equivalent endomorphism rings, the step one and three centralizers, R=CM(N) and C=EndN-M(MNM). We show A and B to possess dual left and right R-bialgebroid structures which generalize Lu's fundamental bialgebroids over an algebra. There are actions of A and B on M and with Galois properties. If M|N is depth two and Frobenius with R a separable algebra, we show that A and B are dual weak Hopf algebras fitting into a duality-for-actions tower extending previous results in this area for subfactors and Frobenius extensions.  相似文献

In the context of deformation quantization, there exist various procedures to deal with the quantization of a reduced space Mred. We shall be concerned here mainly with the classical Marsden-Weinstein reduction, assuming that we have a proper action of a Lie group G on a Poisson manifold M, with a moment map J for which zero is a regular value. For the quantization, we follow Bordemann et al. (2000) [6] (with a simplified approach) and build a star product red? on Mred from a strongly invariant star product ? on M. The new questions which are addressed in this paper concern the existence of natural -involutions on the reduced quantum algebra and the representation theory for such a reduced -algebra.We assume that ? is Hermitian and we show that the choice of a formal series of smooth densities on the embedded coisotropic submanifold C=J−1(0), with some equivariance property, defines a -involution for red? on the reduced space. Looking into the question whether the corresponding -involution is the complex conjugation (which is a -involution in the Marsden-Weinstein context) yields a new notion of quantized modular class. We introduce a left (C(M)?λ?,?)-submodule and a right (C(Mred)?λ?,red?)-submodule of C(C)?λ?; we define on it a C(Mred)?λ?-valued inner product and we establish that this gives a strong Morita equivalence bimodule between C(Mred)?λ? and the finite rank operators on . The crucial point is here to show the complete positivity of the inner product. We obtain a Rieffel induction functor from the strongly non-degenerate -representations of (C(Mred)?λ?,red?) on pre-Hilbert right D-modules to those of (C(M)?λ?,?), for any auxiliary coefficient -algebra D over C?λ?.  相似文献

Let G1⊂G be a closed subgroup of a locally compact group G and let X=G/G1 be the quotient space of left cosets. Let X=(C0(X),ΔX) be the corresponding G-C-algebra where G=(C0(G),Δ). Suppose that Γ is a closed abelian subgroup of G1 and let Ψ be a 2-cocycle on the dual group . Let GΨ be the Rieffel deformation of G. Using the results of the previous paper of the author we may construct GΨ-C-algebra XΨ - the Rieffel deformation of X. On the other hand we may perform the Rieffel deformation of the subgroup G1 obtaining the closed quantum subgroup , which in turn, by the results of S. Vaes, leads to the GΨ-C-algebra . In this paper we show that . We also consider the case where Γ⊂G is not a subgroup of G1, for which we cannot construct the subgroup . Then generically XΨ cannot be identified with a quantum quotient. What may be shown is that it is a GΨ-simple object in the category of GΨ-C-algebras.  相似文献

A morphism of left R-modules is a phantom morphism if for any morphism , with A finitely presented, the composition fg factors through a projective module. Equivalently, Tor1(X,f)=0 for every right R-module X. It is proved that every R-module possesses a phantom cover, whose kernel is pure injective. If is the category of finitely presented right R-modules modulo projectives, then the association M?Tor1(−,M) is a functor from the category of left R-modules to that of the flat functors on . The phantom cover is used to characterize when this functor is faithful or full. It is faithful if and only if the flat cover of every module has a pure injective kernel; this is equivalent to the flat cover being the phantom cover. The question of fullness is only reasonable when the functor is restricted to the subcategory of cotorsion modules. This restriction is full if and only if every phantom cover of a cotorsion module is pure injective.  相似文献

If X is a Banach space and CX∗∗ a convex subset, for x∗∗∈X∗∗ and AX∗∗ let be the distance from x∗∗ to C and . In this paper we prove that if φ is an Orlicz function, I an infinite set and X=?φ(I) the corresponding Orlicz space, equipped with either the Luxemburg or the Orlicz norm, then for every w-compact subset KX∗∗ we have if and only if φ satisfies the Δ2-condition at 0. We also prove that for every Banach space X, every nonempty convex subset CX and every w-compact subset KX∗∗ then and, if KC is w-dense in K, then .  相似文献

Let M be a Mackey functor for a finite group G. In this paper, generalizing the Dold-Thom construction, we construct an ordinary equivariant homotopical homology theory with coefficients in M, whose values on the category of finite G-sets realize the bifunctor M, both covariantly and contravariantly. Furthermore, we extend the contravariant functor to define a transfer in the theory for G-equivariant covering maps. This transfer is given by a continuous homomorphism between topological abelian groups. We prove a formula for the composite of the transfer and the projection of a G-equivariant covering map and characterize those Mackey functors M for which that formula has an expression analogous to the classical one.  相似文献

We study functors underlying derived Hochschild cohomology, also called Shukla cohomology, of a commutative algebra S essentially of finite type and of finite flat dimension over a commutative noetherian ring K. We construct a complex of S-modules D, and natural reduction isomorphisms for all complexes of S-modules N and all complexes M of finite flat dimension over K whose homology H(M) is finitely generated over S; such isomorphisms determine D up to derived isomorphism. Using Grothendieck duality theory we establish analogous isomorphisms for any essentially finite-type flat map of noetherian schemes, with f!OY in place of D.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove existence of radially symmetric minimizersuA(x)=UA(|x|), having UA(⋅)AC monotone and increasing, for the convex scalar multiple integral(∗ ) among those u(⋅) in the Sobolev space. Here, |u(x)| is the Euclidean norm of the gradient vector and BR is the ball ; while A is the boundary data.Besides being e.g. superlinear (but no growth needed if (∗) is known to have minimum), our Lagrangian?∗∗:R×R→[0,] is just convex lsc and and ?∗∗(s,⋅) is even; while ρ1(⋅) and ρ2(⋅) are Borel bounded away from .Remarkably, (∗) may also be seen as the calculus of variations reformulation of a distributed-parameter scalar optimal control problem. Indeed, state and gradient pointwise constraints are, in a sense, built-in, since ?∗∗(s,v)= is freely allowed.  相似文献

We develop a duality theory for localizations in the context of ring spectra in algebraic topology. We apply this to prove a theorem in the modular representation theory of finite groups.Let G be a finite group and k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p. If p is a homogeneous nonmaximal prime ideal in H(G,k), then there is an idempotent module κp which picks out the layer of the stable module category corresponding to p, and which was used by Benson, Carlson and Rickard [D.J. Benson, J.F. Carlson, J. Rickard, Thick subcategories of the stable module category, Fund. Math. 153 (1997) 59-80] in their development of varieties for infinitely generated kG-modules. Our main theorem states that the Tate cohomology is a shift of the injective hull of H(G,k)/p as a graded H(G,k)-module. Since κp can be constructed using a version of the stable Koszul complex, this can be viewed as a statement of localized Gorenstein duality in modular representation theory. Various consequences of this theorem are given, including the statement that the stable endomorphism ring of the module κp is the p-completion of cohomology , and the statement that κp is a pure injective kG-module.In the course of proving the theorem, we further develop the framework introduced by Dwyer, Greenlees and Iyengar [W.G. Dwyer, J.P.C. Greenlees, S. Iyengar, Duality in algebra and topology, Adv. Math. 200 (2006) 357-402] for translating between the unbounded derived categories and . We also construct a functor to the full stable module category, which extends the usual functor and which preserves Tate cohomology. The main theorem is formulated and proved in , and then translated to and finally to .The main theorem in can be viewed as stating that a version of Gorenstein duality holds after localizing at a prime ideal in H(BG;k). This version of the theorem holds more generally for a compact Lie group satisfying a mild orientation condition. This duality lies behind the local cohomology spectral sequence of Greenlees and Lyubeznik for localizations of H(BG;k).In a companion paper [D.J. Benson, Idempotent kG-modules with injective cohomology, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 212 (7) (2008) 1744-1746], a more recent and shorter proof of the main theorem is given. The more recent proof seems less natural, and does not say anything about localization of the Gorenstein condition for compact Lie groups.  相似文献

In [D. Quillen, On the (co)homology of commutative rings, Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 17 (1970) 65-87; L. Avramov, Locally complete intersection homomorphisms and a conjecture of Quillen on the vanishing of cotangent homology, Annals of Math. 2 (150) (1999) 455-487] a conjecture was posed to the effect that if RA is a homomorphism of Noetherian commutative rings then the flat dimension, as defined in the derived category of A-modules, of the associated cotangent complex LA/R satisfies: . The aim of this paper is to initiate an approach for solving this conjecture when R has characteristic 2 using simplicial algebra techniques. To that end, we obtain two results. First, we prove that the conjecture can be reframed in terms of certain nilpotence properties for the divided square γ2 and the André operation ? as it acts on TorR(A,?), ? any residue field of A. Second, we prove the conjecture is valid in two cases: when and when R is a Cohen-Macaulay ring.  相似文献

We prove that the united K-theory functor is a surjective functor from the category of real simple separable purely infinite C-algebras to the category of countable acyclic CRT-modules. As a consequence, we show that every complex Kirchberg algebra satisfying the universal coefficient theorem is the complexification of a real C-algebra.  相似文献

Let H be a Hilbert space and let A and B be standard ∗-operator algebras on H. Denote by As and Bs the set of all self-adjoint operators in A and B, respectively. Assume that and are surjective maps such that M(AM(B)A)=M(A)BM(A) and M(BM(A)B)=M(B)AM(B) for every pair AAs, BBs. Then there exist an invertible bounded linear or conjugate-linear operator and a constant c∈{−1,1} such that M(A)=cTAT, AAs, and M(B)=cTBT, BBs.  相似文献

Let G be an amenable group, let X be a Banach space and let π:GB(X) be a bounded representation. We show that if the set is γ-bounded then π extends to a bounded homomorphism w:C(G)→B(X) on the group C-algebra of G. Moreover w is necessarily γ-bounded. This extends to the Banach space setting a theorem of Day and Dixmier saying that any bounded representation of an amenable group on Hilbert space is unitarizable. We obtain additional results and complements when G=Z, R or T, and/or when X has property (α).  相似文献
