A tensorial formalism adapted to the case of the X2Y4 molecules with D2h symmetry has been developed in the same way as in the previous works on XY4 (Td) and XY6 (Oh) spherical tops and XY5Z (C4v) symmetric tops. Here, we use the O(3)⊃D2h group chain. All the coupling coefficients and formulas for the computation of matrix elements are given for this chain and used in the case of the Hamiltonian and transition moment operators.  相似文献

In this work, the complete matrix of optical spectral levels in trigonal symmetry of 3d2 (3d8) ions are established on basis of strong field coupling mechanism by using two spin–orbit coupling parameters model. The contribution of the spin–orbit coupling of ligand to the optical spectra has been included in these formulas. As an application, the optical spectra of Cr4+ in Y2Ti2O7 and Y2Sn2O7 have been studied by the complete diagonalization (energy matrix) method. The covalent effect has been studied and the difficulty about Dq parameter in explanation of optical spectra of Cr-doped Y2Ti2O7 and Y2Sn2O7 is removed. The theoretical results are in good agreement with observed data.  相似文献

The effects of Tb doping on the photoluminescence (PL) of Y2O3:Tb nanophosphors have been investigated. Nanophosphors were prepared by the glycine-nitrate solution combustion technique using yttria and terbia powders as precursors. PL excitation spectra at room temperature consist of two overlapping bands centered at 277 and 304 nm, whereas emission spectra comprise several groups of lines corresponding to the 5D47FJ (J=1-6) 4f electronic transitions of the Tb+3 ions. A direct comparison of nanophosphor and bulk concentration-quenching curves was obtained by annealing the nanophosphor powder and converting it to bulk material without altering the Tb concentration. The peak in the nanophosphor concentration-quenching curve occurs at a concentration ∼3 times higher than that of the bulk.  相似文献

The equilibrium structures and the electronic, spectroscopic and thermodynamic properties of small Pun (n=2-5) molecules are systematically investigated using the methods of general gradient approximation (GGA) of density functional theory (DFT). The results show that the bond length of the lowest-energy structure of Pu2 is 2.578 AA. The ground state structure of Pu3 is a triangle with D3h symmetry, whereas for Pu4, the ground state structure is a square (D4h) and the spin polarization of 16 for molecule Pu5 with square geometry (D4h) is the most stable structure. For the ground state structures, the vibrational spectra as well as thermodynamic parameters are worked out. In addition, the values for the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) along with the energy gap of all the Pu2-5 structures are presented. The relevant structural and chemical stabilities are predicted.  相似文献

In this study, the red phosphors, Y2W1−xMoxO6:Eu3+ and Y2WO6:Eu3+,Bi3+, have been investigated for light-emitting diode (LED) applications. In Y2WO6:Eu3+, the excitation band edge shifts to longer wavelength with the incorporation of Mo6+ or Bi3+ ions. The emission spectra exhibit 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ ion at 588, 593, and 610 nm, respectively. Moreover, the bluish-green luminescence of the WO66− at about 460 nm is observed to decrease with the incorporation of Mo6+, which results in pure red color. Thus, this study shows that the red phosphor, Y2WO6:Eu3+, incorporated with Mo6+ or Bi3+ ions is advantageous for LEDs applications.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel phosphor, Y6W2O15:Eu3+ was synthesized by thermal decomposition and phase transition of its decatungstate gel precursor. With stepwise increase of temperature to 750 °C, a crystalline phase of Y6W2O15:Eu3+forms that gives intense red emission when excited at 466 nm, the emission is attributed to the Eu3+ ions transitions from 5D0 excited states to 7FJ (J=0-4) ground states. The long excitation wavelength proves the Eu3+ transition follows the photoexcitation of the oxygen-metal (O→W lmct) charge transfer bands in yttrium tungstate. Some structural information regarding Y6W2O15 provided by luminescence is in accord with that characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The long-wavelength excitation properties of this material may find application in the production of red phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献

Oxonitridosilicate phosphors with compositions of (Y1−xCex)2Si3O3N4 (x=0−0.2) have been synthesized by solid state reaction method. The structures and photoluminescence properties have been investigated. Ce3+ ions have substituted for Y3+ ions in the lattice. The emission and excitation spectra of these phosphors show the characteristic photoluminescence spectra of Ce3+ ions. Based on the analyses of the diffuse reflection spectra and the PL spectra, a systematic energy diagram of Ce3+ ion in the forbidden band of sample with x=0.02 is given. The best doping Ce content in these phosphors is ∼2 mol%. The quenching temperature is ∼405 K for the 2 mol% Ce content sample. The luminescence decay properties were investigated. The primary studies indicate that these phosphors are potential candidates for application in three-phosphor-converted white LEDs.  相似文献

Phosphors of nanoparticles YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ (0?X?1) have been prepared by a citrate sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra were utilized to characterize the phosphors. The results of XRD showed that a solid solution formed in YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ phosphor series from X=0 to X=1 with zircon structure. TEM and SEM studies revealed that the obtained YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+ nanocrystals appeared to be spherical with some agglomeration and their sizes ranged from 30 to 80 nm. Upon short ultraviolet excitation, the optical properties of all the powder presented that the characteristic transitions of Dy3+ due to 4F9/2-6H15/2 (blue) and 4F9/2-6H13/2 (yellow) were detected. Besides this, in the system of YPXV1−XO4:Dy3+, the yellow-to-blue intensity ratio (Y/B) depended on the value of P/V greatly, with the increasing of X value and the decreased Y/B value. The phosphor found to yield white light when the value of X in the range of X=0.775-0.85, the optimum concentration for Dy3+ is 1 mol% of Y in the host, and the emission intensity increased with the annealing temperature.  相似文献

The electronic energy levels of the six-fold coordinated Cr4+ ion in the pyrochlores Y2B2O7 (B=Sn4+, Ti4+), have been computed using the exchange charge model of crystal field theory. The calculated Cr4+ energy levels and their trigonal splitting are in good agreement with experimental spectra. Calculations of the crystal field parameters show that the higher crystal field strength in Y2Sn2O7 (in comparison with Y2Ti2O7) arises from increased orbital overlap effects between the Cr4+ ion and the nearest oxygen ions, which are located at the 48f crystallographic position of the pyrochlore lattice. The increased overlap in Y2Sn2O7 occurs despite the fact that the Cr4+-O2- bond distance in Y2Sn2O7 is longer than in Y2Ti2O7. This is attributed to a lack of hybridization (covalent bonding) between the filled 2p orbital of oxygen ion occupying the 48f site of the pyrochlore lattice and the filled Sn4+ 4d10 orbital. As a result, a stronger crystal field is experienced by Cr4+ ions in Y2Sn2O7, even if the Cr4+-O2− distances are greater in this case, when compared to those in Y2Ti2O7.  相似文献

The Yb3+ doped Ba2YB'O6 (B'=Ta5+, Nb5+) were prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction method, their structures were determined by x-ray diffraction and refined by Rietveld method. The diffuse reflection absorption, excitation and emission spectra of Yb3+:Ba2YB'O6 (B'=,Ta5+, Nb5+) were measured at room temperature. Under the excitation of ultraviolet light, these phosphors exhibit broad charge transfer band emissions of TaO6 or NbO6 centre with large Stokes shift. The Yb3+ doped into these hosts are situated at Y3+ sites of cubic symmetry (Oh). The experimental energy levels of Yb3+ in Ba2YTaO6 and Ba2YNbO6 were determined by photoluminescence and diffuse reflection absorption spectra. Their wavefunctions and theoretical energy levels were obtained by diagonalising the Hamiltonian matrix. The experimental energy levels were fitted by Levenberg--Marquardt iteration algorithm to determine crystal field parameters. Then, the magnetic-pole transition line strengths of Yb3+:Ba2YB'O6(B'=Ta5+, Nb5+) from (2F5/28- to the low-energy states were calculated.  相似文献

Alkaline hexafluorostantanate red phosphors Na2SnF6:Mn4+ and Cs2SnF6:Mn4+ are synthesized by chemical reaction in HF/NaMnO4 (CsMnO4)/H2O2/H2O mixed solutions immersed with tin metal. X-ray diffraction patterns suggest that the synthesized phosphors have a tetragonal symmetry with the space group D4h14 (Na2SnF6:Mn4+) and a trigonal symmetry with the space group D3d3 (Cs2SnF6:Mn4+). Photoluminescence (PL) analysis, PL excitation (PLE) spectroscopy, and the Raman scattering techniques are used to investigate the optical properties of the phosphors. The Franck-Condon analysis of the PLE data yields the Mn4+-related optical transitions to occur at ∼2.39 and ∼2.38 eV (4A2g4T2g) and at ∼2.83 and ∼2.76 eV (4A2g4T1g) for Na2SnF6:Mn4+ and Cs2SnF6:Mn4+, respectively. The crystal field parameters (Dq) of the Mn4+ ions in the Na2SnF6 and Cs2SnF6 hosts are determined to be ∼1930 and ∼1920 cm−1, respectively. Temperature-dependent PL measurements are performed from 20 to 440 K in steps of 10 K, and the obtained results are interpreted by taking into account the Bose-Einstein occupation factor. Comprehensive discussion is given on the phosphorescent properties of a family of Mn4+-activated alkaline hexafluoride salts.  相似文献

The permutation-inversion group developed by Longuet-Higgins is extended to a classification of the vibronic, torsional, and rotational wavefunctions of a nonrigid X2Y2 molecule by introducing a symmetry operation T?, which rotates the top half of the molecule by 2π and, accordingly, the molecule-fixed x axis by π. Since the energy levels of linear (Dh) and bent (C2h, C2h, and C2) forms of X2Y2 are classified according to a set of common symmetry operations of this extended permutation-inversion group, their energy levels can be correlated, including those of nonrigid forms such as a quasilinear system or a free internal rotor. Enhancement spectra of the collision-induced absorption in the first overtone region 5500-6750 cm−1 of D2 in the D2-Ar, D2-Kr, and D2-Xe binary mixtures were studied at 298 K for base densities of D2 in the range 55-251 amagat and for partial densities of Ar, Kr, and Xe in the range 46-384 amagat. The observed spectra consist of the following quadrupolar transitions: O2(3), O2(2), Q2 (J), J = 1-5 and S2 (J), J = 0-5 of D2. Binary and ternary absorption coefficients were determined from the integrated absorption coefficients of the band. Profile analyses of the spectra were carried out using the Birnbaum-Cohen (BC) lineshape function and characteristic lineshape parameters were determined from the analyses.  相似文献

Red-emitting Y2O3:Eu3+ and green-emitting Y2O3:Tb3+ and Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ nanorods were synthesized by hydrothermal method. Their structure and micromorphology have been analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photoluminescence (PL) property of Y2O3:Eu3+,Tb3+ phosphor was investigated. In the same host (Y2O3), upon excitation with ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, it is shown that there are strong emissions at around 610 and 545 nm corresponding to the forced electric dipole 5D0-7F2 transition of Eu3+ and 5D4-7F5 transition of Tb3+, respectively. Different qualities of Eu3+and Tb3+ ions are induced into the Y2O3 lattice. From the excitation spectrum, we speculate that there exists energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ ions .The emission color of powders reveals regular change in the separation of light emission. These powders can meet with the request of optical display material for different colors or can be potentially used as labels for biological molecules.  相似文献

A group theoretical analysis of the second-order structural phase transition in (CH3NH3)2MnCL4 at 394°K and of similar transitions in ethyl and propyl compounds (D174hD182h) was performed. The soft mode transforms according to the τx5-irreducible representation at the X-point of the Brillouin-zone boundary and its eigenvector is discussed. The transition is of the order-disorder type and is caused by a slowing down of the hindered rotation of NH3-groups. Knowing the symmetry of the order parameter, a thermodynamic potential expansion was constructed and expected anomalies in material constants around the transition temperature are briefly discussed. The high temperature phase transitions in analogous copper compounds are explained as a sequence D174hD182hD152h. The second of these phase transitions is driven by a soft mode transforming as the τY7-representation at the D182h Brillouin zone boundary.  相似文献

Single crystals of Nd3+:RbY2Cl7 were grown by the Bridgman-Stockbarger method. The host crystal contains two slightly inequivalent Y3+ ions, each with an approximate C2v site symmetry. Anti-Stokes emission from the 4G7/2 and 4D3/2 levels was observed after laser excitation of the 4F3/2 and 4F9/2 multiplets. Laser excitation at 413 cm−1 or 453 cm−1 above the 4F3/2 multiplet resulted in emission from the 2P1/2 level. Laser site-selective upconverted emission spectra have been measured, as well as their emission transients and power dependence. Possible excited state absorption and energy-transfer upconversion (ETU) mechanisms are proposed and discussed. Due to the smaller crystal field and a somewhat different energy level structure for the Nd3+ ions in RbY2Cl7 as compared with those observed for Nd3+ in fluoride or oxide hosts, the 4G7/2 and 4D3/2 multiplets are populated under 4F3/2 excitation in a three and four step ETU process, respectively, instead of in a two and three step process as observed for the lighter hosts.  相似文献
