Let G be a simple simply connected affine algebraic group over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic p for an odd prime p. Let B be a Borel subgroup of G and U be its unipotent radical. In this paper, we determine the second cohomology groups of B and its Frobenius kernels for all simple B-modules. We also consider the standard induced modules obtained by inducing a simple B-module to G and compute all second cohomology groups of the Frobenius kernels of G for these induced modules. Also included is a calculation of the second ordinary Lie algebra cohomology group of Lie(U) with coefficients in k.  相似文献

We establish the homological foundations for studying polynomially bounded group cohomology, and show that the natural map from PH*(G;Q) to H*(G;Q) is an isomorphism for a certain class of groups.  相似文献

Let k be a field of characteristic p>0. Call a finite group G a poco group over k if any finitely generated cohomological Mackey functor for G over k has polynomial growth. The main result of this paper is that G is a poco group over k if and only if the Sylow p-subgroups of G are cyclic, when p>2, or have sectional rank at most 2, when p=2.A major step in the proof is the case where G is an elementary abelian p-group. In particular, when p=2, all the extension groups between simple functors can be determined completely, using a presentation of the graded algebra of self extensions of the simple functor , by explicit generators and relations.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive algebraic group and B   be a Borel subgroup defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>0p>0. In this paper, the authors study the existence of generic G-cohomology and its stability with rational G-cohomology groups via the use of methods from the authors' earlier work. New results on the vanishing of G and B  -cohomology groups are presented. Furthermore, vanishing ranges for the associated finite group cohomology of G(Fq)G(Fq) are established which generalize earlier work of Hiller, in addition to stability ranges for generic cohomology which improve on seminal work of Cline, Parshall, Scott and van der Kallen.  相似文献

Quantum homogeneous supervector bundles arising from the quantum general linear supergoup are studied. The space of holomorphic sections is promoted to a left exact covariant functor from a category of modules over a quantum parabolic sub-supergroup to the category of locally finite modules of the quantum general linear supergroup. The right derived functors of this functor provides a form of Dolbeault cohomology for quantum homogeneous supervector bundles. We explicitly compute the cohomology groups, which are given in terms of well understood modules over the quantized universal enveloping algebra of the general linear superalgebra.  相似文献

Summary Recent literature on functional estimation has shown the importance of kernels with vanishing moments although no general framework was given to build kernels of increasing order apart from some specific methods based on moment relationships. The purpose of the present paper is to develop such a framework and to show how to build higher order kernels with nice properties and to solve optimization problems about kernels. The proofs given here, unlike standard variational arguments, explain why some hierarchies of kernels do have optimality properties. Applications are given to functional estimation in a general context. In the last section special attention is paid to density estimates based on kernels of order (m, r), i.e., kernels of orderr for estimation of derivatives of orderm. Convergence theorems are easily derived from interpretation by means of projections inL 2 spaces.  相似文献

We define the notion of a (linearly reductive) center for a linearly reductive quantum group, and show that the quotient of a such a quantum group by its center is simple whenever its fusion semiring is free in the sense of Banica and Vergnioux. We also prove that the same is true of free products of quantum groups under very mild non-degeneracy conditions. Several natural families of compact quantum groups, some with non-commutative fusion semirings and hence very “far from classical”, are thus seen to be simple. Examples include quotients of free unitary groups by their centers, recovering previous work, as well as quotients of quantum reflection groups by their centers.  相似文献

We prove that the projectivity of an arbitrary (possibly infinite dimensional) module for a Frobenius kernel can be detected by restrictions to one-parameter subgroups. Building upon this result, we introduce the support cone of such a module, extending the construction of support variety for a finite dimensional module, and show that such support cones satisfy most of the familiar properties of support varieties. We also verify that our representation-theoretic definition of support cones admits an interpretation in terms of Rickard idempotent modules associated to thick subcategories of the stable category of finite dimensional modules.  相似文献

Second order parallel algorithms for Fredholm integral equations with piecewise smooth displacement kernels are derived. One is based on a difference scheme of Runge-Kutta type for an unusual partial differential equations for continuous functions of two variables. The other is based on the trapezoidal quadrature rule applied to a modified integral equations. It is found that the Runge-Kutta type algorithm exhibits certain advantages. The work of these authors was supported in part by the NSF Grant DMS-9007030The work of this author was supported in part by a grant from the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada  相似文献

In this paper the authors give the weighted boundedness of the Marcinkiewicz integral operators for different weight functions, where the kernel functions of the operators discussed here are without smoothness not only on the sphere but also in the radial direction.  相似文献

Let G be a finite unitary reflection group acting in a complex vector space . The discriminant varietyXG of G is defined as the space of regular orbits of G on V. Classical examples include the varieties of complex polynomials of degree n with distinct (resp. non-zero distinct) roots. The normaliser of G in GL(V) acts on XG; in this work we determine the action of on the cohomology of XG. In the classical cases this amounts to computing the cohomology of XG with certain local coefficient systems. Our methods are to compute equivariant weight polynomials by means of explicit counting of the rational points of certain varieties over finite fields, and then to exploit the weight purity of the relevant varieties. We obtain some power series identities as a byproduct.  相似文献

Non-stationary discrete time waveform relaxation methods for Abel systems of Volterra integral equations using fractional linear multistep formulae are introduced. Fully parallel discrete waveform relaxation methods having an optimal convergence rate are constructed. A significant expression of the error is proved, which allows us to estimate the number of iterations needed to satisfy a prescribed tolerance and allows us to identify the problems where the optimal methods offer the best performance. The numerical experiments confirm the theoretical expectations.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the fractional integral operator T of degree α of order m with respect to a dilation A for 0 < α < 1 and . First we establish the Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequalities for T on anisotropic Hardy spaces associated with dilation A, which show that T is bounded from H p to H q , or from H p to L q , where 0 < p ≤ 1/(1 + α) and 1/q = 1/p − α. Then we give anisotropic Hardy spaces estimates for a class of multilinear operators formed by fractional integrals or Calderón-Zygmund singular integrals. Finally, we apply the above results to give the boundedness of the commutators of T and a BMO function. A permutation set (M, I) consisting of a setM and a set of permutations ofM, is calledsymmetric, if for any two permutations, the existence of anx M with (x) (x) and –1 (x) = –1 (x) implies –1 = –1 , andsharply 3-transitive, if for any two triples (x 1,x 2,x 3), (y 1,y 2,y 3) M 3 with|{x 1,x 2,x 3 }| = |{y 1,y 2,y 3 }| = 3 there is exactly one permutation with(x 1) =y 1,(x 2) =y 2,(x 3) =y 3. The following theorem will be proved.THEOREM.Let (M, ) be a sharply 3-transitive symmetric permutation set with |M|3, such that contains the identity. Then is a group and there is a commutative field K such that and the projective linear group PGL(2, K) are isomorphic.  相似文献

Using Du’s characterization of the dual canonical basis of the coordinate ring O(GL(n,C)), we express all elements of this basis in terms of immanants. We then give a new factorization of permutations w avoiding the patterns 3412 and 4231, which in turn yields a factorization of the corresponding Kazhdan-Lusztig basis elements of the Hecke algebra Hn(q). Using the immanant and factorization results, we show that for every totally nonnegative immanant and its expansion with respect to the basis of Kazhdan-Lusztig immanants, the coefficient dw must be nonnegative when w avoids the patterns 3412 and 4231.  相似文献
