We study irreducible morphisms in the bounded derived category of finitely generated modules over an Artin algebra Λ, denoted , by means of the underlying category of complexes showing that, in fact, we can restrict to the study of certain subcategories of finite complexes. We prove that as in the case of modules there are no irreducible morphisms from X to X if X is an indecomposable complex. In case Λ is a selfinjective Artin algebra we show that for every irreducible morphism f in either fj is split monomorphism for all jZ or split epimorphism, for all jZ. Moreover, we prove that all the non-trivial components of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of are of the form ZA.  相似文献

Let H be a connected wild hereditary algebra of rank 3, T a square-free tilting H-module and the endomorphism ring of T in the cluster category CH of H. We study the left degree of an irreducible morphism with X and Yi indecomposable modules in a standard component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver, for 1≤ir. Two criteria to determine whether the left degree of these irreducible morphisms is finite or infinite are given, for standard algebras. We also study which of them has left degree two.  相似文献

In [H. Krause, O. Solberg, Applications of cotorsion pairs, J. London Math. Soc. 68 (2003) 631-650], the Telescope Conjecture was formulated for the module category of an artin algebra R as follows: “If C=(A,B) is a complete hereditary cotorsion pair in with A and B closed under direct limits, then ”. We extend this conjecture to arbitrary rings R, and show that it holds true if and only if the cotorsion pair C is of finite type. Then we prove the conjecture in the case when R is right noetherian and B has bounded injective dimension (thus, in particular, when C is any cotilting cotorsion pair). We also focus on the assumptions that A and B are closed under direct limits and on related closure properties, and detect several asymmetries in the properties of A and B.  相似文献

Following the work [B. Deng, J. Du, Frobenius morphisms and representations of algebras, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 358 (2006) 3591-3622], we show that a Frobenius morphism F on an algebra A induces naturally a functor F on the (bounded) derived category Db(A) of , and we further prove that the derived category Db(AF) of for the F-fixed point algebra AF is naturally embedded as the triangulated subcategory Db(A)F of F-stable objects in Db(A). When applying the theory to an algebra with finite global dimension, we discover a folding relation between the Auslander-Reiten triangles in Db(AF) and those in Db(A). Thus, the AR-quiver of Db(AF) can be obtained by folding the AR-quiver of Db(A). Finally, we further extend this relation to the root categories ?(AF) of AF and ?(A) of A, and show that, when A is hereditary, this folding relation over the indecomposable objects in ?(AF) and ?(A) results in the same relation on the associated root systems as induced from the graph folding relation.  相似文献

Motivated by constructions in the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras we generalize the notion of Artin-Schelter regular algebras of dimension n to algebras and categories to include Auslander algebras and a graded analogue for infinite representation type. A generalized Artin-Schelter regular algebra or a category of dimension n is shown to have common properties with the classical Artin-Schelter regular algebras. In particular, when they admit a duality, then they satisfy Serre duality formulas and the -category of nice sets of simple objects of maximal projective dimension n is a finite length Frobenius category.  相似文献

Let G be a finite abelian group and A a G-graded algebra over a field of characteristic zero. This paper is devoted to a quantitative study of the graded polynomial identities satisfied by A. We study the asymptotic behavior of , n=1,2,…, the sequence of graded codimensions of A and we prove that if A satisfies an ordinary polynomial identity, exists and is an integer. We give an explicit way of computing such integer by proving that it equals the dimension of a suitable finite dimension semisimple G×Z2-graded algebra related to A.  相似文献

Let A be an algebra over a field F of characteristic zero and let cn(A), , be its sequence of codimensions. We prove that if cn(A) is exponentially bounded, its exponential growth can be any real number >1. This is achieved by constructing, for any real number α>1, an F-algebra Aα such that exists and equals α. The methods are based on the representation theory of the symmetric group and on properties of infinite Sturmian and periodic words.  相似文献

Given an Ext-injective stratifying system of Λ-modules satisfying that the projective dimension of Y is finite, we prove that the finitistic dimension of the algebra Λ is equal to the finitistic dimension of the category . Moreover, using the theory of stratifying systems we obtain bounds for the finitistic dimension of Λ. In particular, we get the optimal bound 2n-2 for the finitistic dimension of a standardly stratified algebra with n simples.  相似文献

By generalizing the method used by Tignol and Amitsur in [J.-P. Tignol, S.A. Amitsur, Kummer subfields of Malcev-Neumann division algebras, Israel Journal of Math. 50 (1985), 114-144], we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for an arbitrary central division algebra D over a Henselian valued field E to have Kummer subfields when the characteristic of the residue field of E does not divide the degree of D. We prove also that if D is a semiramified division algebra of degree n [resp., of prime power degree pr] over E such that does not divide n and [resp., and p3 divides ], then D is non-cyclic [resp., D is not an elementary abelian crossed product].  相似文献

This article is to study relations between tubular algebras of Ringel and elliptic Lie algebras in the sense of Saito-Yoshii. Using the explicit structure of the derived categories of tubular algebras given by Happel-Ringel, we prove that the elliptic Lie algebra of type , , or is isomorphic to the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra of the root category of the tubular algebra with the same type. As a by-product of our proof, we obtain a Chevalley basis of the elliptic Lie algebra following indecomposable objects of the root category of the corresponding tubular algebra. This can be viewed as an analogue of the Frenkel-Malkin-Vybornov theorem in which they described a Chevalley basis for each untwisted affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra by using indecomposable representations of the corresponding affine quiver.  相似文献

Let Λ be an order over a Dedekind domain R with quotient field K. An object of , the category of R-projective Λ-modules, is said to be fully decomposable if it admits a decomposition into (finitely generated) Λ-lattices. In a previous article [W. Rump, Large lattices over orders, Proc. London Math. Soc. 91 (2005) 105-128], we give a necessary and sufficient criterion for R-orders Λ in a separable K algebra A with the property that every is fully decomposable. In the present paper, we assume that is separable, but that the p-adic completion Ap is not semisimple for at least one . We show that there exists an , such that KL admits a decomposition KL=M0M1 with finitely generated, where LM1 is fully decomposable, but L itself is not fully decomposable.  相似文献

In this paper, we classify the irreducible representations of the trigonometric Cherednik algebras of rank 1 in characteristic p>0. There are two cases. One is the “quantum” case, where “Planck’s constant” is nonzero and generic irreducible representations have dimension 2p. In this case, smaller representations exist if and only if the “coupling constant” k is in ; namely, if k is an even integer such that 0≤kp−1, then there exist irreducible representations of dimensions pk and p+k, and if k is an odd integer such that 1≤kp−2, then there exist irreducible representations of dimensions k and 2pk. The other case is the “classical” case, where “Planck’s constant” is zero and generic irreducible representations have dimension 2. In that case, one-dimensional representations exist if and only if the “coupling constant” k is zero.  相似文献

Let k be an algebraically closed field and A a k-linear hereditary category satisfying Serre duality with no infinite radicals between the preprojective objects. If A is generated by the preprojective objects, then we show that A is derived equivalent to for a so-called strongly locally finite quiver Q. A morphism of left R-modules is a phantom morphism if for any morphism , with A finitely presented, the composition fg factors through a projective module. Equivalently, Tor1(X,f)=0 for every right R-module X. It is proved that every R-module possesses a phantom cover, whose kernel is pure injective.If is the category of finitely presented right R-modules modulo projectives, then the association M?Tor1(−,M) is a functor from the category of left R-modules to that of the flat functors on . The phantom cover is used to characterize when this functor is faithful or full. It is faithful if and only if the flat cover of every module has a pure injective kernel; this is equivalent to the flat cover being the phantom cover. The question of fullness is only reasonable when the functor is restricted to the subcategory of cotorsion modules. This restriction is full if and only if every phantom cover of a cotorsion module is pure injective.  相似文献

We introduce new polynomial invariants of a finite-dimensional semisimple and cosemisimple Hopf algebra A over a field by using the braiding structures of A. The coefficients of polynomial invariants are integers if is a finite Galois extension of Q, and A is a scalar extension of some finite-dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra over Q. Furthermore, we show that our polynomial invariants are indeed tensor invariants of the representation category of A, and recognize the difference between the representation category and the representation ring of A. Actually, by computing and comparing polynomial invariants, we find new examples of pairs of Hopf algebras whose representation rings are isomorphic, but whose representation categories are distinct.  相似文献

For a nondegenerate additive subgroup Γ of the n-dimensional vector space over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, there is an associative algebra and a Lie algebra of Weyl type spanned by all differential operators uD1m1?Dnmn for (the group algebra), and m1,…,mn?0, where D1,…,Dn are degree operators. In this paper, it is proved that an irreducible quasifinite -module is either a highest or lowest weight module or else a module of the intermediate series; furthermore, a classification of uniformly bounded -modules is completely given. It is also proved that an irreducible quasifinite -module is a module of the intermediate series and a complete classification of quasifinite -modules is also given, if Γ is not isomorphic to .  相似文献
