In this paper, an efficient method to synthesize morachalcones B and C was described. Rap‐Stoermer condensation and 1,3‐prenyl rearrangement were used as two key synthetic methods. Morachalcone C was obtained by photooxygenation of morachalcone B. Morachalcones B and C showed anti‐inflammatory activity. In this paper , a facile, efficient and surfactantfree method to synthesize silica nanosphere supported ultrafine silver nanoparticles was developed. The antibacterial effects of the supported ultrafine silver nanoparticles with the ‘clean’ surface were evaluated against the Escherichia coli even at very low dosage accordingly to the bacterial viability measured by flow cytometry. In this figure , a vinylene-linked covalent organic framework (V-COF-1) was integrated with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) to contrive a modified electrode (V-COF-1/MWCNTs/SPCE) for electrochemical sensing applications. The sensor exhibited the simultaneous detection of tryptophan (Trp), uric acid (UA), and 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) in biological samples. In this paper , cefadroxil was synthesized in [Bmim][NTf2]‐ phosphate cosolvent using immobilized penicillin G acylase on micron‐size magnetic polymer microspheres with the high S/H ratio of 1.12 and 79.0% yield. The results illuminated that there are two very critical and essential designs i.e. effective support and suitable solvent system in enzymatic synthesis of cefadroxil. In this figure, metal selective polymer inclusion membrane (PIM) was prepared by using cellulose triacetate as matrix, surfactin, a naturally occurring lipopeptide-type biosurfactant, as ion carrier, and 2-nitrophenyl n-octyl ether as plasticizer. The selectivity of the membrane towards metal cation followed the order of Ni(II)> Ca(II)>Co(II)>Pb(II)>Cu(II)>Mg(II). This review shows highly fluorescent polymer dots with near‐infrared emission are especially important in biological applications including analytical sensing, photoacoustics, photothermal therapy, deep‐penetration imaging, and material science. These Pdots are surfactantfree, biocompatible, facile surface functionalization and very stable in 100% aqueous solutions. In this Invited Paper, a Gashapon machine as an analogy to a ball‐miller–the rolling and collision of capsule toys in the former is similar to the experience of solid reactants in the latter. The mechanical force used to grind solid mixtures of pseudorotaxanes and stoppers (or, for slippage, macrocycles and dumbbell‐shaped threads) in a ball‐miller can drive reactions to afford rotaxanes with high efficiency under conditions of no solvent (or only a trace). Such behavior mimics the operation of a Gashapon machine: the mechanical force used to roll and collide the capsule toys can lead to delightful surprises! In this figure , commercial CuNi alloys are converted to be porous Cu-rich CuNi alloys via a simple electrochemical dealloying process in ionic liquid to show improved electrochemical activities towards nitrate reduction.
