A simple, air‐stable, inexpensive and easily prepared molecule, N‐methyliminodiacetic acid (MIDA), is reported as a ligand for palladium‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction of phenylboronic acid with aryl chlorides. The yield of the corresponding Suzuki coupling reaction is up to around 90% at both high temperature of 80°C and room temperature under ambient atmosphere. Two new phosphinite ligands based on ionic liquids [(Ph2PO)C7H14N2Cl]Cl ( 1 ) and [(Cy2PO)C7H14N2Cl]Cl ( 2 ) were synthesized by reaction of 1‐(3‐chloro‐2‐hydoxypropyl)‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride, [C7H15N2OCl]Cl, with one equivalent of chlorodiphenylphosphine or chlorodicyclohexylphosphine, respectively, in anhydrous CH2Cl2 and under argon atmosphere. The reactions of 1 and 2 with MCl2(cod) (M = Pd, Pt; cod = 1,5‐cyclooctadiene) yield complexes cis‐[M([(Ph2PO)C7H14N2Cl]Cl)2Cl2] and cis‐[M(Cy2PO)C7H14N2Cl]Cl)2Cl2], respectively. All complexes were isolated as analytically pure substances and characterized using multi‐nuclear NMR and infrared spectroscopies and elemental analysis. The catalytic activity of palladium complexes based on ionic liquid phosphinite ligands 1 and 2 was investigated in Suzuki cross‐coupling. They show outstanding catalytic activity in coupling of a series of aryl bromides or aryl iodides with phenylboronic acid under the optimized reaction conditions in water. The complexes provide turnover frequencies of 57 600 and 232 800 h?1 in Suzuki coupling reactions of phenylboronic acid with p‐bromoacetophenone or p‐iodoacetophenone, respectively, which are the highest values ever reported among similar complexes for Suzuki coupling reactions in water as sole solvent in homogeneous catalysis. Furthermore, the palladium complexes were also found to be highly active catalysts in the Heck reaction affording trans‐stilbenes. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this study, a novel heterogeneous palladium catalyst was synthesized by anchoring palladium onto ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)‐coated Fe3O4@SiO2 magnetic nanocomposite and used for the Suzuki and Sonogashira cross‐coupling reactions. The properties of the magnetic catalyst were characterized by FT‐IR, XRD, TEM, FE‐SEM, DLS EDX, XPS, N2 adsorption‐desorption isotherm analysis, TGA, VSM, elemental analysis and the loading level of Pd in catalyst was measured to be 0.51 mmol/g by ICP. The catalyst was used in Suzuki cross‐coupling reactions of various aryl halides, including less reactive chlorobenzenes with phenylboronic acid without any additive or ligand under green conditions. Furthermore, we have reported this recyclable catalytic system for Sonogashira cross‐coupling reactions of various aryl halides (I, Br, Cl) under copper and ligand‐free conditions in the presence of DMF/H2O (1:2/v:v) as a solvent. The magnetic catalyst could also be separated by an external magnet and reused six times without any significant loss of activity.  相似文献

Nanostructured palladium pyrophosphate (Na2PdP2O7) catalyst was synthesized and well characterized by using different techniques (TGA, XRD, SEM, TEM....). This nanocatalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity in the synthesis of biaryl compounds via Suzuki‐Miyaura cross‐coupling to produce their corresponding products in good to excellent yields under mild conditions. The catalyst is recyclable and was recycled for four runs for the reaction of 4‐bromoacetophenone with phenylboronic acid without appreciable loss of its catalytic activity.  相似文献

The results of a ligandless Pd(OAc)2‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling experiment are presented. It was found that the use of polyethylene glycol phosphonium salts (PEG‐quat) as surfactant resulted in very rapid reactions of aryl halides with phenylboronic acids in pure water. Moreover, aryl chlorides such as 4‐nitrochlorobenezene reacted quantitatively with phenylboronic acid under optimized conditions. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of solvents were examined for the ligand free Pd(II)-catalyzed Suzuki reaction of 4-bromotoluene with phenylboronic acid. It was found that the PdCl2/i-PrOH system could efficiently inhibit the homo-coupling of phenylboronic acid and give a cross-coupling product in high yields. The substrates with a wide variety of functional groups were tolerated in the system. A possible mechanism for this system was proposed.  相似文献

The Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction of various bromine‐containing substrates and phenylboronic acid in toluene at 90 °C on a Pd(AcO)2Py2 catalyst supported on an Mg? Al hydrotalcite, using K2CO3 as the base, was studied. The conversion and selectivity results obtained for many of the substrates were excellent and similar to those provided by more active or even homogeneous catalysts. The reactions of aryl polybromides and phenylboronic acid gave the corresponding polyaromatic compounds in variable yields depending on the particular substrate. Arylation occurred in a consecutive manner by substitution of the different Br atoms. ICP‐MS measurements of the palladium content of the catalyst performed prior to and after the reaction revealed that part of the metal is incorporated into the bulk solution; therefore, the catalytic process is not purely heterogeneous. We have investigated the requirements for efficient Pd‐catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura catalyst‐transfer condensation polymerization (Pd‐CTCP) reactions of 2‐alkoxypropyl‐6‐(5‐bromothiophen‐2‐yl)‐3‐(4,4,5,5‐tetramethyl‐1,3,2‐dioxaborolan‐2‐yl)pyridine ( 12 ) as a donor–acceptor (D –A) biaryl monomer. As model reactions, we first carried out the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction of X–Py–Th–X′ (Th=thiophene, Py=pyridine, X, X′=Br or I) 1 with phenylboronic acid ester 2 by using tBu3PPd0 as the catalyst. Monosubstitution with a phenyl group at Th‐I mainly took place in the reaction of Br–Py–Th–I ( 1 b ) with 2 , whereas disubstitution selectively occurred in the reaction of I–Py–Th–Br ( 1 c ) with 2 , indicating that the Pd catalyst is intramolecularly transferred from acceptor Py to donor Th. Therefore, we synthesized monomer 12 by introduction of a boronate moiety and bromine into Py and Th, respectively. However, examination of the relationship between monomer conversion and the Mn of the obtained polymer, as well as the matrix‐assisted laser desorption ionization time‐of‐flight (MALDI‐TOF) mass spectra, indicated that Suzuki–Miyaura coupling polymerization of 12 with (o‐tolyl)tBu3PPdBr initiator 13 proceeded in a step‐growth polymerization manner through intermolecular transfer of the Pd catalyst. To understand the discrepancy between the model reactions and polymerization reaction, Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions of 1 c with thiopheneboronic acid ester instead of 2 were carried out. This resulted in a decrease of the disubstitution product. Therefore, step‐growth polymerization appears to be due to intermolecular transfer of the Pd catalyst from Th after reductive elimination of the Th‐Pd‐Py complex formed by transmetalation of polymer Th–Br with (Pin)B–Py–Th–Br monomer 12 (Pin=pinacol). Catalysts with similar stabilization energies of metal–arene η2‐coordination for D and A monomers may be needed for CTCP reactions of biaryl D–A monomers.  相似文献

In this work, ortho‐palladated complexes [Pd(µ‐Cl)(C6H4CH2 NRR′‐κ2‐C,N)]2 and [Pd(C6H4CH2NH2‐2‐C,N)Cl(Y)] were tested in the Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction. Cyclopalladated Pd(II) complexes as thermally stable catalysts can activate aryl bromides and chlorides. These complexes were active and efficient catalysts for the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction of aryl bromides and even less reactive aryl chlorides. The cross‐coupled products of a variety of aryl bromides and aryl chloride with phenylboronic acid in methanol as solvent at 60 °C were produced in excellent yields. The palladacycle complex [LsPdOAc]2 bearing 2‐phenyl benzothiazole was synthesized and characterized by NMR and X‐ray crystallography. [LsPdOAc]2 was used as a catalyst in the Suzuki–Miyaura cross coupling reaction of 4‐bromotoluene with phenylboronic acid, which resulted in a conversion of >90% with 5 mol% of the Pd complex within 10 min at 60°C.  相似文献

An efficient heterogeneous Pd catalytic system has been developed, based on immobilization of Pd nanoparticles (PNPs) on a silica‐bonded propylamine–cyanuric–cysteine (SiO2pA–Cyan–Cys) substrate. The synthesized catalyst was characterized by transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, FT‐IR, N2 adsorption analysis (BET), TGA and inductively coupled plasma/atomic emission spectroscopy, and catalytic activity of this catalyst was investigated in the Suzuki and Sonogashira cross‐coupling reactions. The catalysts showed excellent performance in these two reactions, including various aryl halide derivatives (except aryl chloride derivatives) with phenylboronic acid and phenylacetylene under green conditions. Moreover, the catalyst was recycled for several runs without any significant loss of catalytic activity. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of α‐(fluoro‐substituted phenyl)pyridines have been synthesized by means of a palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reaction between fluoro‐substituted phenylboronic acid and 2‐bromopyridine or its derivatives. The reactivities of the phenylboronic acids containing di‐ and tri‐fluoro substituents with α‐pyridyl bromide were investigated in different catalyst systems. Unsuccessful results were observed in the Pd/C and PPh3 catalyst system due to phenylboronic acid containing electron‐withdrawing F atom(s). For the catalyst system of Pd(OAc)2/PPh3, the reactions gave moderate yields of 55% –80%, meanwhile, affording 10% –20% of dimerisation (self‐coupling) by‐products, but trace products were obtained in coupling with 2,4‐difluorophenylboronic acids because of steric hinderance. Pd(PPh3)4 was more reactive for boronic acids with sterically hindering F atom(s), and the coupling reactions gave good yields of 90% and 91% without any self‐coupling by‐product.  相似文献

Glycerol and urea were used as green and cheap sources of carbon quantum dots (CQD) for modifying Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs). The obtained CQD@Fe3O4 NPs were used for the stabilization of palladium species and the prepared catalyst, Pd@CQD@Fe3O4, was characterized using various techniques. This magnetic supported palladium was applied as an efficient catalyst for the reduction of aromatic nitro compounds to primary amines at room temperature using very low palladium loading (0.008 mol%) and also for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction of aryl halides as well as challenging heteroaryl bromides and aryl diazonium salts with arylboronic acids and with potassium phenyltrifluoroborate. This magnetically recyclable catalyst was recovered and reused for seven consecutive runs in the reduction of 4‐nitrotoluene to p‐toluidine and for ten consecutive runs in the reaction of 4‐iodoanisole with phenylboronic acid with small decrease of activity. The catalyst reused in the Suzuki reaction was characterized using transmission electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Using experiments such as hot filtration and poisoning tests, it has been shown that the true catalyst works under homogeneous conditions according to the release–return pathway of active palladium species.

In this work, an easily obtained procedure was successfully implemented to prepare novel palladium nanoparticles decorated on triethanolammonium chloride ionic liquid‐functionalized TiO2 nanoparticles [TiO2/IL‐Pd]. Different methods were carried out for characterizations of the synthesized nanocatalyst (HR‐TEM, XPS, XRD, FE‐SEM, EDX, FT‐IR and ICP). TiO2/IL‐Pd indicated good catalytic activity for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction of arylboronic acid with different aryl halides in aqueous media at ambient temperature. The recycled catalyst was investigated with ICP to amount of Pd leaching after 6 times that had diminished slightly, Thus, was confirmed that the nanocatalyst has a good sustainability for C–C Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction. The catalyst can be conveniently separated by filtration of the reaction mixture and reused for 6 times without significant loss of its activity. It supplies an environmentally benign alternative path to the existing protocols for the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction.  相似文献

Kumada‐Tamao coupling polymerization of 1,4‐dialkoxy‐2‐bromo‐5‐(2‐chloromagnesiovinyl)benzene ( 1 ) and 1,4‐dialkoxy‐2‐(2‐bromovinyl)‐5‐chloromagnesiobenzene ( 2 ) with a Ni catalyst and Suzuki‐Miyaura coupling polymerization of 2‐{2‐[(2,5‐dialkoxy‐4‐iodophenyl)]vinyl}‐4,4,5,5‐tetramethyl‐1,3,2‐dioxaborolane ( 3 ), its bromo counterpart 4 , and 2,5‐dialkoxy‐4‐(2‐bromovinyl)phenylboronic acid ( 5 ) with a Pd initiator were investigated under catalyst‐transfer condensation polymerization conditions for the synthesis of well‐defined poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) (PPV). The Kumada‐Tamao polymerization of vinyl Grignard‐type monomer 1 with Ni(dppp)Cl2 at room temperature did not proceed, whereas aryl Grignard‐type monomer 2 afforded oligomers of low molecular weight. Matrix‐assisted laser desorption ionization time‐of‐flight (MALDI‐TOF) mass spectra of the polymer obtained from 2 implied that the Grignard end group reacted with tetrahydrofuran to terminate polymerization. On the other hand, Suzuki‐Miyaura polymerization of vinyl boronic acid ester type monomers 3 and 4 and phenylboronic acid type monomer 5 with a Pd initiator and aqueous KOH at ?20 °C to room temperature yielded the corresponding PPV with high molecular weight within a few minutes. However, the molecular weight distribution was broad, and MALDI‐TOF mass spectra showed the peaks of polymers bearing no initiator unit at the chain end, as well as those of polymers with the initiator unit. These results indicated that intermolecular chain transfer of the Pd catalyst occurred. Dehalogenation and disproportionation of the growing end also took place as side reactions. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. Chem. 2014 , 52, 2643‐2653  相似文献

The phosphorus ylide [Ph3PCHC(O)C6H4‐NO2–4] reacted with Pd(OAc)2 to give the C,C‐orthometallated complex [Pd{κ2(C,C)‐C6H4PPh2C(H)CO(C6H4‐NO2–4)}(μ‐OAc)]2, which underwent bridge exchange reaction with NaN3, NaCl, KBr and KI, respectively, to afford the binuclear C,C‐orthopalladated complexes [Pd{κ2(C,C)‐C6H4PPh2C(H)CO(C6H4‐NO2–4)}(μ‐X)]2 (X = N3 ( 1 ), Cl ( 2 ), Br ( 3 ) and I ( 4 )). The complexes were identified using spectroscopy (infrared and NMR), CHNS technique and single‐crystal X‐ray structure analysis. Thereafter, palladium nanoparticles with narrow size distribution were easily prepared using the refluxing reaction of iodo‐bridged orthopalladated complex 4 with poly(N ‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone) (PVP) as the protecting group. The PVP‐stabilized palladium nanoparticles were characterized using a variety of techniques including X‐ray diffraction, transmission and scanning electron microscopies, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The catalytic activity of the PVP‐stabilized palladium nanoparticles was evaluated in the Suzuki reaction of phenylboronic acid and the Heck reaction of styrene with aryl halides of varying electron densities. This catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity for Suzuki cross‐coupling reactions in ethanol–water. Notably, aryl chlorides which are cheaper and more accessible than their bromide and iodide counterparts also reacted satisfactorily using this catalyst. After completion of reactions, the catalyst could be separated using a simple method and used many times in repeat cycles without considerable loss in its activity.  相似文献

An efficient and simple ligand derived from phthalandione was used for palladium catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction in water/ethanol (V/V = 2/1) under aerobic conditions. The reaction exhibited a high catalytic efficiency even with lower Pd loading (0.002 mol %). In this work, the catalyst could be successfully used in coupling reaction between various aryl halides with phenylboronic acid in excellent yields with high turnover number (TON) (the maximal TON was up to 49,000 for the reaction of bromobenzene with phenylboronic acid). Moreover, this new ligand had been elucidated by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and X-ray crystal diffraction.  相似文献

A palladium S‐benzylisothiourea complex was anchored on functionalized MCM‐41 (Pd‐SBT@MCM‐41) and applied as efficient and reusable catalyst for the synthesis of 5‐substituted 1H –tetrazoles using [2 + 3] cycloaddition reaction of various organic nitriles with sodium azide (NaN3) in poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) as green solvent. Also this catalyst was applied as an versatile organometallic catalyst for Suzuki cross‐coupling reaction of aryl halides and phenylboronic acid (PhB(OH)2) or sodium tetraphenyl borate (NaB(Ph)4). This nanocatalyst was characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), X‐ray Diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) and N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms techniques. Recovery of the catalyst is easily achieved by centrifugation for several consecutive runs.  相似文献

The cross‐coupling reaction between phenylboronic acid and various types of aryl halides (Suzuki reaction) was carried out using a catalytic amount of a new phosphine‐based catalyst under microwave irradiation. The reaction conditions were optimized and results showed that, by application of this catalytic system, N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone as the solvent and potassium carbonate as the base, reactions could be completed in a short reaction time with high to excellent yields.
