The recoilless fractionf of57Fe in iron is determined as a function of temperatureT in the vicinity of the Curie temperatureTc using a source of57Co diffused in a foil of 100% enriched56Fe. Our results show thatf does not undergo an abrupt change atTc, but that in the ferromagnetic phase |df/dT| is larger than in the non-ferromagnetic phase. This indicates that the ferromagnetic interaction increases the bond between the iron atoms, and thus contributes to the stability of the iron lattice belowTc.  相似文献

The large differences in the logarithmic oxidation kinetics reported as a change in activation energy with the oxidation rate decreasing from ferromagnetic to paramagnetic states are discussed for iron, cobalt and nickel. The observed anomalies at the Curie point are explained by a mechanism which takes into account both surface-state charge at the metal/oxide interface and space charge in the growing oxide.  相似文献

The oxidation kinetics of iron have been investigated in the vicinity of its Curie temperature θc = 1043 K using a gravimetric technique. A critical review is given on the literature concerning spin waves in the ferromagnetic transition metals and their alloys. It is shown that spin waves can account for the low temperature behaviour of the magnetization in metallic glasses as well as in nickel(-alloys). A systematic correlation between Curie-temperature and spin wave stiffness is worked out, holding for crystalline and amorphous alloys of iron, cobalt and nickel. The reduced magnetization versus temperature curves of (amorphous) alloys are interpreted without referring to disorder effects.  相似文献

We investigate the increase of the Curie temperature T(C) in a lateral spin injection geometry where the ferromagnetic (Ga,Mn)As injector and detector contacts are capped by a thin iron film. Because of interlayer coupling between Fe and (Ga,Mn)As T(C) gets enhanced by nearly 100% for the thinnest (Ga,Mn)As films. The use of the proximity effect might pave the way for practical implementation of spintronic devices.  相似文献

In view of the one-boson-exchange model for the nucleon-nucleon interaction and the Hartree-Fock (HF) interaction, we formulate the effective interactions for particle-hole states in terms of the exchange of the fields which are confined in the nucleus. This theory, as an extension to the nuclear field theory (NFT), takes into account the propagation of the fields which is neglected in NFT. The effective interactions thus obtained reproduce the energies of a sequence of electric giant resonances and the core polarizabilities associated with the resonances. It is found that the coupling constants of the σ- and ω-fields are suppressed for the particle-hole interaction by 60% with respect to the HF interaction. As for the effective interactions involving nucleon spins, we consider the fields coupled to nucleon spins. The effective interactions obtained, essentially different from those in NFT, have a tensor component. We analyse the energies and cross sections for excitation of stretched spin particle-hole states which are the most sensitive to the tensor force. The effective interaction responsible for the stretched spin states is shown to be consistent with that for the magnetic resonances observed in the (p, n) reactions.  相似文献

We discuss the influence of temperature on local bond breaking through multiple vibrational excitations induced by inelastic tunneling in the STM. We focus on hydrogen desorption from the H---Si(111) and H---Si(100) systems, but the results are general. The substrate temperature affects the desorption yield in two important ways: first, lowering the temperature increases the H---Si vibrational energy relaxation time, resulting in a higher effective adsorbate temperature and an increased desorption yield. Second, lowering the substrate temperature decreases the dephasing rate of the H---Si modes (manifested by a decrease of the infrared absorption linewidth), which then reduces the rate of incoherent (Förster) vibrational energy transfer away from the Stark-shifted H---Si mode under the tip. This increases the localization of the vibrational energy and enhances the probability for multiple vibrational excitation and desorption. Finally, we discuss the possible implications of our findings on the mechanism of MOS device degradation by hot electrons.  相似文献

A spin one XY ferromagnet with uniaxial anisotropy has been investigated, using Green's function technique in random phase approximation (RPA). The Green functions associated with the anisotropy energy are treated without decoupling. A set of coupled equations have been obtained to find the critical temperature Tc and (SZ)2 at Tc as function of the uniaxial anisotropy parameter D. Tc and (SZ)2 at Tc are found to increase with D. The results are compared with the earlier results obtained in the Narath type of RPA.  相似文献

Brillouin scattering was used to study the effect of high-power microwave fields on an array of permalloy particles and the results are compared with simulations. The simulations are of two types: one is based on a model in which each particle is treated as a single spin, the second model relies on generalized micromagnetic codes that include external driving fields and enable magnon–magnon coupling. Experimental results as well as simulations show clear, but sometimes different, evidence of non-linear behavior.  相似文献

The curie of temperature of ZrZn2 is determined from the stoner theory of itinerant electron magnetism by renormalising the first coefficient of the Landau expansion thus taking spin fluctuations into account. These fluctuations are found to be saturated well below Tc so that the behaviour of ZrZn2 around Tc is of stoner type. The calculated and measured values of Tc are in good agreement.  相似文献

Curie temperature TC of spin arrangement with arbitrary dimension was considered. We assumed that interaction of a spin with all other spins vary with a power-law decay rate in exchange integral on Heisenberg model. As a result, we found that TC, which was obtained from TC=λC (λ: mean-field coefficient and C: Curie constant), significantly depends on fractal dimension of spin arrangements D, the exchange integral and the decay constant. This semi-quantitatively explains how TC depends on D (1≤D≤3) in a universal way and also the finite size effect on TC in low-dimensional spin systems.  相似文献

The entanglement induced by elementary excitations in the XX spin chain is investigated by Bethe ansatz method. The reduced density matrix and correlation function between any pair of spins can be obtained for ground and all excited states with N qubits. Rely on them we show the explicit and general relations between entanglement and elementary excitations in XX spin chain.
