Conclusions From the NQR spectra of the halides HgHal2 -D (Hal = Cl, Br, or I; D = SCH3CH2CH2SCH3, N(CH3)2 CH2CH2N(CH3)2, or OCH3CH2CH2OCH3) it follows that in their complexing ability the sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms can be arranged in the order: S > N > I. A structure with equivalent halogens is realized in the considered complexes.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 8, pp. 1895–1897, August, 1973.The authors consider it their duty to thank G. The reactions of Cl atoms with XCH2I (X = H, CH3, Cl, Br, I) have been studied using cavity ring-down spectroscopy in 25-125 Torr total pressure of N2 diluent at 250 K. Formation of the XCH2I-Cl adduct is the dominant channel in all reactions. The visible absorption spectrum of the XCH2I-Cl adduct was recorded at 405-632 nm. Absorption cross-sections at 435 nm are as follows (in units of 10(-18) cm2 molecule(-1)): 12 for CH3I, 21 for CH3CH2I, 3.7 for CH2ICl, 7.1 for CH2IBr, and 3.7 for CH2I2. Rate constants for the reaction of Cl with CH3I were determined from rise profiles of the CH3I-Cl adduct. k(Cl + CH3I) increases from (0.4 +/- 0.1) x 10(-11) at 25 Torr to (2.0 +/- 0.3) x 10(-11) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) at 125 Torr of N2 diluent. There is no discernible reaction of the CH3I-Cl adduct with 5-10 Torr of O2. Evidence for the formation of an adduct following the reaction of Cl atoms with CF3I and CH3Br was sought but not found. Absorption attributable to the formation of the XCH2I-Cl adduct following the reaction of Cl atoms with XCH2I (X = H, CH3, Br, I) was measured as a function of temperature over the range 250-320 K. 相似文献

The reaction of triplet methylene with methanol is a key process in alcohol combustion but surprisingly this reaction has never been studied. The reaction mechanism is investigated by using various high-level ab initio methods, including the complete basis set extrapolation (CBS-QB3 and CBS-APNO), the latest Gaussian-n composite method (G4), and the Weizmann-1 method (W1U). A total of five product channels and six transition states are found. The dominant mechanism is direct hydrogen abstraction, and the major product channel is CH(3) + CH(3)O, involving a weak prereactive complex and a 7.4 kcal/mol barrier. The other hydrogen abstraction channel, CH(3) + CH(2)OH, is less important even though it is more exothermic and involves a similar barrier height. The rate coefficients are predicted in the temperature range 200-3000 K. The tunneling effect and the hindered internal rotational freedoms play a key role in the reaction. Moreover, the reaction shows significant kinetic isotope effect. 相似文献

Mössbauer-spectrometric and Catalytic Investigations of the System Pt? Sn? η-Al2O3 Tin compounds on an Al2O3-carrier exhibit interactions with the carrier, their chemical properties are different from those of the carrier-free compounds. In reduced Pt? Sn? Al2O3 catalysts of different preparation there are different interactions between platinum and tin. Impregnation of the carrier with platinum-tin complexes gives vicinal locations of both compounds in socalled Pt? Sn ensembles. The modification of the electronic properties of a part of the platinum by tin in Pt? Sn? Al2O3 catalysts causes a decrease of the adsorption of hydrogen and of the activity in the dehydrogenation of cyclohexane, and an increase of the activity of dehydrocyclization of n-heptane. 相似文献

The rate coefficients for the reactions of Cl atoms with CH3Br, (k1) and CH2Br2, (k2) were measured as functions of temperature by generating Cl atoms via 308 nm laser photolysis of Cl2 and measuring their temporal profiles via resonance fluorescence detection. The measured rate coefficients were: k1 = (1.55 ± 0.18) × 10?11 exp{(?1070 ± 50)/T} and k2 = (6.37 ± 0.55) × 10?12 exp{(?810 ± 50)/T} cm3 molecule?1 s?1. The possible interference of the reaction of CH2Br product with Cl2 in the measurement of k1 was assessed from the temporal profiles of Cl at high concentrations of Cl2 at 298 K. The rate coefficient at 298 K for the CH2Br + Cl2 reaction was derived to be (5.36 ± 0.56) × 10?13 cm3 molecule?1 s?1. Based on the values of k1 and k2, it is deduced that global atmospheric lifetimes for CH3Br and CH2Br2 are unlikely to be affected by loss via reaction with Cl atoms. In the marine boundary layer, the loss via reaction (1) may be significant if the Cl concentrations are high. If found to be true, the contribution from oceans to the overall CH3Br budget may be less than what is currently assumed. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Ab initio computational study of the electronic structure and infrared spectra of donor-acceptor complexes formed between SO3 and CH3X (X = F, Cl, Br) molecules was carried out at the MP2(full)/6-31G(d) level of theory. The calculated complexation energy at G2MP2 level shows that stability of complexes decrease, as CH3Cl-SO3 > CH3Br-SO3 > CH3F-SO3. The NBO partitioning scheme show that the lengthening of the C-F, C-Cl, and C-Br bond lengths, upon complexation, is due to an decreasing "s" character in these bonds. 相似文献

A concerted three-body formation X+Y+C2H4 in the photodissociation of CH2XCH2Y (X,Y=Br,Cl) at 193 nm
The photodissociation of CH2XCH2Y (X,Y=Br,Cl) through absorption of 193 nm photons was investigated using product translational spectroscopy. No stable CH2BrCH2 or CH2ClCH2 was detected. The recorded time-of-flight spectra indicate that these internally excited radicals dissociated into Y+C2H4 in a concerted reaction with the first C-X bond rupture. Product anisotropy implies that the overall reaction time for three-body formation is in a fraction of rotational period. According to an asynchronous concerted reaction model, the measured spectra were simulated with product translational energy distributions coupled by asymmetric angular distributions. For the mixed halide, CH2BrCH2Cl, triple products Br+Cl+C2H4 can be originated from the cleavage of either the C-Br bond or the C-Cl bond. The results are discussed and where appropriate, comparisons with previous investigations of the related molecules are included. 相似文献

The energetics of the C-F, C-Cl, C-Br, and C-I bonds in 2-haloethanols was investigated by using a combination of experimental and theoretical methods. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of 2-chloro-, 2-bromo-, and 2-iodoethanol, at 298.15 K, were determined as Delta(f)H(degree)m(CH2CH2OH, l) = -315.5 +/- 0.7 kJ.mol-1, Delta(f)H(degree)mBrCH2CH2OH, l) = -275.8 +/- 0.6 kJ.mol-1, Delta(f)H(degree)m(ICH2CH2OH, l) = -207.3 +/- 0.7 kJ.mol-1, by rotating-bomb combustion calorimetry. The corresponding standard molar enthalpies of vaporization, Delta(vap)H(degree)m(ClCH2CH2OH) = 48.32 +/- 0.37 kJ.mol-1, Delta(vap)H(degree)m(BrCH2CH2OH) = 54.08 +/- 0.40 kJ.mol-1, and Delta(vap)H(degree)m(ICH2CH2OH) = 57.03 +/- 0.20 kJ.mol-1 were also obtained by Calvet-drop microcalorimetry. The condensed phase and vaporization enthalpy data lead to Delta(f)H(degree)m(ClCH2CH2OH, g) = -267.2 +/- 0.8 kJ.mol-1, Delta(f)H(degree)m(BrCH2CH2OH, g) = -221.7 +/- 0.7 kJ.mol-1, and Delta(f)H(degree)m(ICH2CH2OH, g) = -150.3 +/- 0.7 kJ.mol-1. These values, together with the enthalpy of selected isodesmic and isogyric gas-phase reactions predicted by density functional theory (B3LYP/cc-pVTZ) and CBS-QB3 calculations were used to derive the enthalpies of formation of gaseous 2-fluoroethanol, Delta(f)H(degree)m(FCH2CH2OH, g) = -423.6 +/- 5.0 kJ.mol-1, and of the 2-hydroxyethyl radical, Delta(f)H(degree)m(CH2CH2OH, g) = -28.7 +/- 8.0 kJ.mol-1. The obtained thermochemical data led to the following carbon-halogen bond dissociation enthalpies: DHo(X-CH2CH2OH) = 474.4 +/- 9.4 kJ.mol-1 (X = F), 359.9 +/- 8.0 kJ.mol-1 (X = Cl), 305.0 +/- 8.0 kJ.mol-1 (X = Br), 228.7 +/- 8.1 kJ.mol-1 (X = I). These values were compared with the corresponding C-X bond dissociation enthalpies in XCH2COOH, XCH3, XC2H5, XCH=CH2, and XC6H5. In view of this comparison the computational methods mentioned above were also used to obtain Delta(f)H(degree)m-594.0 +/- 5.0 kJ.mol-1 from which DHo(F-CH2COOH) = 435.4 +/- 5.4 kJ.mol-1. The order DHo(C-F) > DHo(C-Cl) > DHo(C-Br) > DHo(C-I) is observed for the haloalcohols and all other RX compounds. It is finally concluded that the major qualitative trends exhibited by the C-X bond dissociation enthalpies for the series of compounds studied in this work can be predicted by Pauling's electrostatic-covalent model. 相似文献

An analysis of thermochemical and kinetic data on the bromination of the halomethanes CH4–nXn (X = F, Cl, Br; n = 1–3), the two chlorofluoromethanes, CH2FCl and CHFCl2, and CH4, shows that the recently reported heats of formation of the radicals CH2Cl, CHCl2, CHBr2, and CFCl2, and the C? H bond dissociation energies in the matching halomethanes are not compatible with the activation energies for the corresponding reverse reactions. From the observed trends in CH4 and the other halomethanes, the following revised ΔH°f,298 (R) values have been derived: ΔH°f(CH2Cl) = 29.1 ± 1.0, ΔH°f(CHCl2) = 23.5 ± 1.2, ΔHf(CH2Br) = 40.4 ± 1.0, ΔH°f(CHBr2) = 45.0 ± 2.2, and ΔH°f(CFCl2) = ?21.3 ± 2.4 kcal mol?1. The previously unavailable radical heat of formation, ΔH°f(CHFCl) = ?14.5 ± 2.4 kcal mol?1 has also been deduced. These values are used with the heats of formation of the parent compounds from the literature to evaluate C? H and C? X bond dissociation energies in CH3Cl, CH2Cl2, CH3Br, CH2Br2, CH2FCl, and CHFCl2. 相似文献

The Gadolinium Carbide Halides, Gd4C2X3 (X = Cl, Br) The compounds Gd4C2X3 (X = Cl, Br) and Tb4C2Br3 have been prepared by reaction of the metals (RE), REX3, and C in sealed Ta capsules at 1 100° and 1 300°C, respectively. Monophasic samples of Gd4C2Br3 and Tb4C2Br3 were obtained by reacting stoichiometric mixtures of the starting materials for five days. The needle shaped crystals are bronze-coloured and sensitive to air and moisture. Gd4C2X3 crystallizes in the space group Pnma (No. 62) with lattice constants a = 1 059.6(4), b = 368.4(1), c = 1 962.7(8) pm (Gd4C2Cl3), a = 1 084.4(1), b = 373.0(1), c = 2 036.1(1) pm (Gd4C2Br3). According to Guinier photographs, Tb4C2Br3 is isotypic (a = 1 074.3(2), b = 370.6(1), c = 2 019.4(1) pm). In the crystal structure C is octahedrally coordinated by Gd. The Gd6 octahedra are linked via common edges to form corrugated layers. The X-anions coordinate all free edges and corners of these layers and connect them via Xi? Xi contacts parallel [001]. Gd4C2Br3 shows metallic conductivity. The magnetic susceptibility follows at high temperatures a Curie Weiss law with an effective moment of 7.95 μB. At temperatures below 50 K antiferromagnetic order is observed. 相似文献

The recently developed (L. Song, W. Wu, Q. Zhang, S. Shaik, J. Phys. Chem. A 2004, 108, 6017) valence bond method coupled with a polarized continuum model (VBPCM) has been applied to the identity SN2 reaction of halides in the gas phase and in aqueous solution. The barriers computed at the level of the breathing orbital VB method (P. C. Hiberty, J. P. Flament, E. Noizet, Chem. Phys. Lett. 1992, 189, 259), BOVB and VBPCM//BOVB, are comparable to CCSD(T) and CCSD(T)//PCM results and to experimentally derived barriers in solution (W. J. Albery, M. M. Kreevoy, Adv. Phys. Org. Chem. 1978, 16, 85). The reactivity parameters needed to apply the valence bond state correlation diagram (VBSCD) method (S. Shaik, J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1984, 106, 1227), were also determined by VB calculations. It has been shown that the reactivity parameters along with their semiempirical derivations provide a satisfactory qualitative and quantitative account of the barriers. 相似文献

Photolysis of hydrogen sulphide in argon, nitrogen and carbon monoxide matrices at 20 K produces HS radicals and S atoms. On warming the matrix, H2S2 and S2 molecules are formed as a result of recombination reactions. The latter are identified by a blue-purple emission observed during warm-up of the matrix. 相似文献

The structural stability of sulfamoyl halides NH(2)-SO(2)X (X is F, Cl and Br) were investigated by DFT-B3LYP/6-311+G** and ab initio MP2/6-311+G** calculations. From the calculations the molecules were predicted to exist only in the anti (XS bond is anti with respect to nitrogen lone pair) conformation with the possibility of very low abundance of the syn (SO(2) and NH(2) groups eclipse each other) form of only the fluoride. The equilibrium constant for the syn<-->anti conformational conversion of sulfamoyl fluoride was calculated to be 0.0172 that corresponds to an equilibrium mixture of about 2% syn and 98% anti at 298.15K. The vibrational frequencies were computed at DFT-B3LYP level for the stable anti conformer of the d(0) and d(2) (ND(2)-SO(2)X) deuterated species of the three molecules. Normal coordinate calculations were then carried out and the potential energy distributions were calculated for the molecules. 相似文献

The structures of the m/z 87, [C4H7O2]+, ions generated by dissociative ionization of CH3CGXCOOCH3 and XCH2CH2COOCH3 (X = CH3, Cl, Br, and I) have been investigated via their unimolecular and collisionally activated fragmentations and by apperance energy measurements. For both precursors loss of X = CH3 produced, via H atom transfer, ions of structure \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm CH_2 = CH}\mathop {\rm C}\limits^{\rm + } \left({{\rm OH}} \right){\rm OCH}_{\rm 3} $\end{document} (a), ΔHf = 386 kj mol?1. In marked contrast, loss of I˙ from ionized CH3CHICOOCH3 and ICH2CH2COOCH3 proceeded without rearrangement to yield respectively ions of structure \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ {\rm CH_3}\mathop {\rm C}\limits^{\rm + } {{\rm HCOOCH_3}} $\end{document} (b), ΔHf = 480 kJ mol?1 and (c), ΔHf = 450 kJ mol?1. These different fragmentation behaviours are explained via photoelectron spectra which show that the formal charge site in the precursor ion is at the carbonyl oxygen when X = CH3 but at the halogen atom when X = I. The precursor molecules X = Cl and Br display both of the above characteristics, CH3CHXCOOCH3 yielding mixtures of a and b and XCH2CH2COOCH3 producing a and c ions. 相似文献

Vibrational spectra are reported and assigned for the planar D3h symmetry cyclopropenium cations [C3X3]+ (X= Cl, Br or I) from investigations of the compounds C3Cl3AlCl4, C3Cl3GaCl4, C3Cl3FeCl4, C3Cl3SbCl6, C3Br3AlBr4 and C3l4, using conventional infrared and Raman spectroscopy and Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy. The symmetric C—X stretching modes of [C3X3]+ occur at 458, 269 and 180 cm−1 and the ring-breathing modes at 1790, 1732 and ca. 1650 cm−1 in [C3Cl3]+, [C3Br3]+ and [C3I3]+, respectively. A normal coordinate calculation is performed for [C3Cl3]+. 相似文献

Gas phase emission and laser excitation spectra of the Ã2E?X?2E (Σ = +½, ?½) transition of rotationally/vibrationally cooled 1-chloro- and 1-bromo-1,3-pentadiyne cations have been obtained. The emission was excited by electron impact on a seeded helium supersonic free jet and the fluorescence by laser excitation of cations produced by Penning ionization and collisional relaxation. From these two sets of data the origin bands of the spin-orbit systems are located and for the bromo species this leads to better values of the spin-orbit splitttings in the two electronic states and of the first adiabatic ionization energy. The vibrational frequencies of many of the fundamentals of these cations in the X?2E and Ã2E states have been obtained to within ±2 cm?1. 相似文献

Synthesis,Crystal Structure,and Optical Properties of (CH3NH3)2CoX4 (X = Cl,Br, I,Cl0.5Br0.5, Cl0.5I0.5, Br0.5I0.5) 下载免费PDF全文
The reaction of methylammonium halides and cobalt halides yielded the organic‐inorganic hybrid compounds of general formula (CH3NH3)2CoX4. By varying the different halides, we were able to synthesize the whole row from Cl to I as well as some mixed halides compounds and to determinate the crystal structures. (CH3NH3)2CoX4 (X = Cl, Br, Cl0.5Br0.5, Br0.5I0.5) crystallize isotypic to (CH3NH3)2HgCl4 in space group P21/c with Z = 4 [X = Cl: a = 7.6483(9), b = 12.6885(18), c = 10.8752(12) Å, β = 96.639(9)°; X = Cl0.5Br0.5: a = 7.8271(9), b = 12.9543(9), c = 11.1007(11) Å, β = 96.320(8)°; X = Br: a = 7.9782(2), b = 13.1673(2), c = 11.2602(2) Å, β = 96.3260(10)° and X = Br0.5I0.5: a = 8.2435(12), b = 13.645(2), c = 11.5856(18) Å, β = 95.54(2)°]. The mixed halides show a statistic distribution in both cases. In (CH3NH3)2CoCl2I2 an ordered variant is realized representing a new structure type [C2/m, Z = 4, a = 18.808(4), b = 7.3604(7), c = 10.4109(17) Å, β = 120.364(13)°]. (CH3NH3)2CoI4 crystallizes again isotypic to the respective mercury compound [(CH3NH3)2HgCl4] [Pbca, Z = 8, a = 10.9265(5), b = 12.1552(5), c = 20.9588(9) Å]. All structures are build up by inorganic tetrahedral [CoX4]2– anions and organic (CH3NH4)+ cations. Additionally the Raman spectra as well as the optical reflectance spectra are discussed. 相似文献
